Clueless Teens hit Google, ask: “Who is Osama Bin Laden?”

Are teens so out of touch with our country and the War on Terror that they don’t know who UBL was? Apparently, as “Who is Osama Bin Laden” was one of the most popular tweets and searches over the past few days.

Glenn explained, “I said to you on Monday one of the things that bothered me was the fact that we had these teenagers and these college students. Now, how many of these college students, I contended on Monday, really even knew what was going on? Because their life hadn’t really been affected. 9/11, we all paid attention. But remember, we sheltered our children from it. I tried to do as much as we could for our children, and maybe this was a mistake, to keep this away from them. Not show it.”

Glenn read form Twitter, “Who is Osama Bin Laden and why should I care? Who is Osama Bin Laden? Is he famous? Am I the only one who doesn’t know who he is?”

“Talia writes, I’m probably retarded for asking this, but who is Osama and why is it good that he died? Cory writes, who is Osama and why is it important we killed him? Shawn wrote on Twitter on Sunday night, who is Osama Bin Laden? Is he in the band as well? Who is Osama Bin Laden? Who is Osama Bin Laden? Someone explain this to me, please. You know, just goes on and on and on,” Glenn said. (Click here to read more tweets)

The number five search on Sunday was “Who is Osama Bin Laden?”. And because Google can track everything, I mean, they know what you’re wearing right now and they called me and they said, today it works. But here’s what here’s what they found out. The most of the people who were doing the searching and seeking more information made up 66% of the searches for who is Osama Bin Laden, 66% of them were 13 to 17 years old.”

“I remind you of the words of Al Gore: There are things that you know that your parents just don’t know. I remind you of the words of Van Jones. You know, your parents just don’t know the things that you know,” Glenn said.

“I used to feel like I knew everything, too, when I was a teenager. That’s normal. But you’re being used. And they are using you because there are things that you don’t know that they do. Look up useful idiot. I know that sounds like an insult. It’s an actual term. Look up useful idiot. You’re being used as one. Find out where that term came from. Do that in a search engine now,” Glenn said.
