Obama’s CNN buddy scolds Netanyahu

Fareed Zakaria, CNN host and self-proclaimed Obama advisor, has come out and said that Netanyahu’s response to the President’s proposal fro Middle East peace was out of line. Apparently, Fareed doesn’t get how anyone could possibly disagree with the President, and Zakaria ended up sounding more like a member of the White House PR machine than a journalist.

“We’ve just gone through an arcane debate about whether Barack Obama said anything new when he called for an Israeli-Palestinian settlement based on 1967 borders with mutually agreed upon land swaps. In fact, that has been the working assumption of all negotiating parties – America, Israel and the Palestinian Authority – for over 20 years,” Zakaria said.

“No!” Glenn shouted. “It’s always been the PLO’s position the whole time, the whole time. Pro Israel? No.”

Pat pointed out that he had never heard Israeli officials say “we’ve got way too much land here.”

“Way too protected. We’ve got too much of Jerusalem, our capital city, under our own control. We can’t have that,” Pat joked.

“Fareed, you know what? The President should really reconsider his consultations with you because I think you might be giving him bad advice,” Glenn said.
