Where does Glenn stand on Herman Cain?

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Glenn is torn on what to think about the Herman Cain allegations. Glenn has met Cain several times and really likes him — but is he a closet dirtbag? Is there truth to any of the allegations or is this a hit job? Why does Herman Cain have the worst campaign manager of all time? Glenn explores some of these questions and more — the answers are important because unlike the left, Glenn is consistent. Character matters – if Cain doesn’t have it, then he’s got to go.

“I want to talk a little bit about Cain and how we as a show and his people are going to judge this because we’re never going to know the truth. Never going to know the truth. We have to come to a decision. If we think the guy is guilty or if there’s a good chance of being guilty, then you can’t vote for him. Because character does matter,” Glenn said.

“I can’t vote for a guy without character,” Glenn said.

Glenn explained that a lot of candidates won’t come on his show because he will ask tough questions and be clear on points where he disagrees with a candidate.

“I will tell you this, that a lot of these guys, they won’t come on. Cain is a guy who I met with several times. I like him. He’s been on the show. However, we have been trying to get him for the last week. He won’t come on this broadcast. He won’t come on GBTV. And that’s totally fine. That’s totally fine. It may be that we’re too small and it doesn’t matter to him.”

“They never know where I’m coming from. They never know. You get into a conversation with me; I can turn on you fast.”

“I’m not going to tell you I agree on everything. And if I think you’re a dirtbag, I’m going to call you out.”

“I’m not going to play gotcha. That’s the one thing I won’t do that everybody else will. I won’t play gotcha. I don’t care about the ratings, much to everybody’s chagrin. I don’t care about the ratings. It’s not about that. I actually believe the country is in trouble. I really want the best guy. I’m not going to play gotcha to get, you know, headlines or whatever. I don’t really care. So sit down with him.”

“So how do you judge him? How do you judge this scenario? Well, the first thing is we have to find out about these people. I would also like to be able to sit down with these women. I’d like to be able to have a fair ‑‑ I’m not going to try again gotcha on them. I could go either way. I don’t know who to believe. I find it really fascinating that ‑‑ I find it fascinating a couple of things. One, that all these people are coming out right now. It doesn’t make sense to me. It doesn’t make sense to me. Two, I’d like to hear Herman Cain’s wife on this.”

“But anyway, we as people are going to have to decide unfortunately. And let’s not let the press decide for us because haven’t we been dealt enough lies? Don’t we ‑‑ what have they given us before that is true? What have they given us lately that’s true? Why should we listen to them now?

The fact so far is that indeed character does matter, and from what I have seen and heard so far of the accusers “facts” is nothing more than generated inuendo, publicity hounds, money hunters, and a set of political figures bent on burying a perceived threat to their control and authority built up.

Character matters, and I have to say based on what I know right now Cain has it.

Great comments Glenn…loved your tv show….you ever going to reappear on the FIVE?….I like the show but dislike Beckal……How can such an intelligent man and the rest of the left be so non common sensical…you keep it up….You are one of the few TRUE Patriots in this country..  Jim Greer
and how about you doing your own presidental poll…..I vote for Nest Gingrinch and Condoleeza Rice….

I agree. Cain needs to stand firm, the media is out to destroy any conservative that might change the political landscape and Cain is that man. We need a Herman Cain to help America get back to its roots.

Lies are Lies even if everyone believes them, Truths are Truths even if no one believes them.

We cannot throw out The Constitution because of a flood of “allegations”.  Where is due process? Where is the concept “innocent until proven guilty”?  Where’s the proof, the *evidence*?  One thousand Lies do not equal one Truth.  Liars try to hide Truth by attempting to bury Truth under a million Lies.  Mr. Cain, the accusers and God know the Truth.  So many find it easy to embrace Lies and so difficult to believe Truth.

This situation isn’t about a political campaign.  This situation is about Truth and how to discern Truth.

Judging the actions of the media, people have a very long way to go in understanding how to discern Truth.

  • Ryan Frederick

someone has to be paying these women.

Glenn,  You always said, “The truth will set you free”.  Go back and review last nights news conference and watch Cain’s eyes.  He kept them on the reporters all the time speaking. And when was the last time you hear of a news conference, to explain the accusations, where the media was asked for questions?  Cain probably didn’t handle the 1st accusations a week ago to everyones liking.  But, I do believe in him.  I don’t think Cain is or has been a “closet dirtbag”. Cain has a lot of character with bold ideas and that’s why the media and the Washington establishment fear him more than any other GOP candidate.

One accuser might have been a plant, but four and maybe five to me that is for real.  I’m done with Cain he should quit. Newt Gingrich is the most intelligent one of the bunch.  He seems to be the only adult in the debates, the others are just arguing.

  • Anonymous

The graphic nature of number four’s accusations remind me of the Anita Hill type accusation. So once she brought it to that level of discourse I began believing it was done for effect not fact. Finally, as a liberal, she believes that the end justifies the means and that puts further doubt on her testament.

“Proven” guilty (or creating an atmosphere of guilt) by a flood of accusations and a media dogpile.  This is not how the justice system works, this is not how God works.  The justice system can be fooled, cannot fool God.

I watched Herman on C Span. I believe him to be an honest and forthright man. He is a BIG target for the libs, especially because he’s a well spoken black man who has come up the hard way, achieving education and financial success by working for it and believing in the american dream. Libs know that he could sway tons of black voters away from the Dems camp. Lots of folks voted for B.O’B just because he was a black man (well, partly black, anyway), Once Herman goes head to head with Obama, there would be no contest…Herman Cain would easily win. All these pathetic attempts to derail or demoralize Mr Cain will only get worse. I hope and pray Herman thinks this country is worth fighting for. I loved what he said about “total incompetence in the White House”!

I like Cain very much and think that the Left is out to destroy him because he’s a Black Conservitive. They are proving who the true racists are for if a minority doesn’t hold Acceptable Views, they will try to kill him.

If it should turn out that Cain is guilty, I’ll be the first one to come on here and admit that I was wrong. But at this point, all I can see is two silly blonde women gold-diggers with problematic backgrounds as far as truth is concerned and a man who spoke clearly and precisely defending his own character and truthfulness and did not appear to be lying in any way whatsoever. I believe this entire thing is trumped up, that it is coming from the leftist crazies, who may or may not be even using a republican to dig out this garbage. Cain made some very powerful enemies, coming out and calling liberal blacks “brainwashed”, and challenging the status quo. He is everthing the leftists hate..a black, articulate, conservative, accomplished and very smart businessman. He is also a committed Christian who had the guts to stand in front of the National Press Corp, of all places, and sing one of the most beautiful hymns in the Christian world. I do not believe these accusations, I believe the truth will win out, and I am praying that God will bring the truth out and shut the mouths of the lions. I will not let the media pick my candidate. Not this time.

I really like Herman Cain. I do not believe the accusations…one thing, two of them are white and blonde and it just seems too much..attack him sexually and racially. However, right now, Newt is my “flavor of the month”..

Oh, how ridiculously trite this whole thing is! Did anyone NOT see this coming? I’ve been listening to Glenn and Herman for years in Atlanta, and finally moved to Costa Rica out of frustration after working to start a company for 2 YEARS, and MAKE jobs instead of taking one. They always pull out sex somehow as a last dirty resort. Anyone who sits in the Big Chair has to have a pair, and if you’re a long-time married man who hasn’t at least taken a second look at a beautiful client or co-worker, your wife should probably be concerned about your virility. I trust him as much as I trust Glenn. Straight shooting Christian men who defend Israel. “nuff said. God Bless America. I’m coming back to VOTE!! Cain/Rubio ’12

  • Anonymous

i would say to Glenn…”go with your initial instincts”, like Sarah Palin, Cain is the real thing so the left has to eradicate him as well as some conservatives with an agenda.   Like Sarah, this evil tarnishes the family.  Bringing his wife into this won’t make the persecutors vanish..but it will . keep the slander in the forefront of the election as intended.  Cain did stand firm but the media insists on racking him over the coals with absolutely no proof…this also may be the time to put Ms. Gloria Aldred out of business, she is trash orientated and wants Obama to have his second term.

Listen Glenn, I’ve been a constant GB viewer – until you started mocking these women on your radio show – esp. Sharon when she came out with her story. Now you want to interview her – and you’ll make a determination about what really happened? You’re just a bit too full of yourself buddy – I think you discredited yourself on the radio along with your two little boy hosts. You sounded like 7th grade boys in the school bathroom. Shame on you for belittling women who are now coming out to tell their stories. And, you ask why now? Well, it’s not that complicated.Seems it was the NRA that outed the story about Cain – he defended himself saying that the accusation were baseless. “A woman scorned…” They weren’t about to sit back and let him demean them so they came forward – hesitantly b/c they’re afraid of this guy and his loons. As Karen said today, and it sounds pretty accurate, “Cain was a monster…”

You’ve  acted very immature about this whole story now you need to “man up” and apologize for your behavior and act a bit humble going forward on anything you have to say.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=588121419 Steve Kettle

I have to see actual proof before turning on Cain.  There is no actual proof right now, just he said/she said.

Both public accuser’s have credibility issues.  The one that filed harassment complaint filed another complaint in her next job asking for 16k pay raise and scholarship to Harvard.  That is very odd to me.  The one from Chicago has a troubled past.

Therefore without actual proof I have to give Cain benefit of the doubt.  With Clinton we had DNA, with Woods and Weiner there were saved text messages.  With Spitzer there was wire transfer to escort service.  With Cain there is just no hard evidence.  Only he said  /  she said.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

On the money Ryan, the left and the progressives have spun the system of political accusation to the point where the accused has to “prove” a negative, to prove something has NOT happened instead of being given the “benefit of reasonable doubt.”

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Key part right there – who is paying them, and who is paying their legal fees…as the saying goes, if something smells fishy, you are probably about to walk off the dockside into the ocean.

In short, smell fish, pay attention to the reality of what is going on around you.

We have three women that got money from the NRA.  Then we have out of the blue some skank and her lawyer that has had legal problems from here to eternity,  Now one of the women who got money from the NRA settlements also tried to sue her next employer because she was not allowed to work at home and accused them of sexual improprities

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=588121419 Steve Kettle

Cain may be a monster, but we can’t judge him until we see hard evidence.  Right now it is he said / she said.

  • Anonymous

The saying is, “Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned.”  As I said, the simple reason the women are now coming forward – to  contront Cain’s statement that the accusations are baseless.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=588121419 Steve Kettle

I thought only 2 got NRA money.  And of the two we only know the name of 1.  She was the one that went after next employer for money ( 16k pay raise and Harvard scholarship ).

Herman Cain may have or may not have done these allegations. It’s like ringing a bell. once you’ve heard it the sound doesn’t go away and that’s is what his opposition wants.A hesitation on Cain supporters and a jog to someone Obama can beat.My son lives in Chicago and this sure seems like the kind of political
manipulations taught there.Cain said he would take a lie detector test under serious considerations. If he doesn’t he’ll be guilty by not doing it. If he passes he has something he can use as a weapon against his detractors. This is not the time to hedge his bets. There is too much riding on his chances.Semper Fi.

  • http://twitter.com/Dffallis Donna Fallis

Because I’ve seen how desperate the left is to get rid of Mr. Cain, it’s become apparent that they will not stop until they have ruined him and if need to be, his family. It’s so easy and has been for a couple of decades for women to use allegations of sexual abuse to get even with a spurned lover, an ex-husband, or a boss they don’t like. Men put up with a lot of sexual crap out of women…the dirty little jokes told, the insinuations, and much more, and just walk away. Women get on a high horse and make the man who has damaged their egos pay. Most cases, unfortunately, are without any grounds and the two women making these accusations seem to have a past of doing so. The left made up their mind that a self-made black man would never get a shot at the White House, because it destroys the control they have, and the victimization they have cultivated for decades. I still back Mr. Cain, and I’m female.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Corinne-Margulies/100000034058539 Corinne Margulies

I saw the press conference and if Cain is lying he deserves an Oscar.  He was unwavering in his denial, calm, confident and I didn’t detect an ounce of “guilty” demeanor.  I think he is a very friendly and outgoing guy with a sense of humor and I could imagine him kidding around with people.  But, the allegations are sleazy and especially Sharon Bialeck’s description of what he did.  He says he doesn’t know her, doesn’t know her name and has no idea who she is.  I believe him.  This is a very troubled and compromised woman living beyond her means and dreaming of the limelight.  So, she gets her 15 minutes of fame by trying to destroy Herman Cain.  Can’t let this happen, folks.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=588121419 Steve Kettle

Herman Cain may or may not have done the allegations. He said he would take a lie detector test under serious charges. If he does and passes he will refute the image created by the media and have a weapon to use against his detractors. If he does not this allows Chicago style politics to creep in and keep otherwise staunch support away.Hedging his bets at this point is fatal. Meet it head on, defeat it and move ahead. You either let the stream take you away with its current or you paddle upstream to get to the place you want to go. Semper Fi.

Character and politics—HAH!! Glen, you are truly naive if you think people won’t go after a buck. I work for a large company and we settle becasue going to bat costs much more financially. In business it is cost/benefit. Are we innocent–yes. But capitalism prevails, we have folks to pay, taxes to pay, and we take the cheap way out. Change the legal law suit frenzy system—it’s too easy for me to say “he looked at me so let me sue” then to prove truth.

Character matters. Cain is showing character. He is standing strong in the face of vaporous and scripted allegations that added up to nothing at the time and add up to nothing now.

Conservatives have to recognize a simple fact: Cain is being hit with this stuff because he is a black conservative and because he has resonated as a candidate. Glenn, you have to stand behind Cain because a snowstorm of allegations does not demean the man, it demeans those who are happily dining on the publicity (Exhibit A: Gloria Wellfed).

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Robert-Armentrout/100001132542233 Robert Armentrout

Since there has been no actual evidence presented by the “accusers”; this has become a pretty simple decision for me…with no evidence, it comes down to who I believe is telling the truth.

When I look at, see, listen to Mr. Cain my gut tells me he is an honest man. When I do the same for the women making the accusations I simply don’t see anyone believable. So…I believe Herman Cain.

Should real evidence come out later that proves Mr. Cain has lied to us, that will be a different matter but until then, I’m not going to give credence to unsupported accusations.

A company has a fiduciary duty to protect its shareholders.  Settling to avoid bad press and costly lawsuits is part of that fiduciary duty.  That is why these so called settlements prove nothing.

come-on folks, four woman have accused him, three of whom were actually paid to keep it all quiet. Why would the NRA pay them anything if they were not credible. This isnt the first time a powerfull, rich man sexually abused sorbordinated females. I will make a bet that they arent all the women he has abused, and we will see more accusations if he doesn’t get out of the Presidential race. Why now and not before? Because he wasn’t running for President before and gaining traction. These women are doing their country a service by outing a sleazbag before he wins the nomination.

Also to the lobbyists and political establishment Cain is an unknown.  They don’t know if he can be bought.   The others they have experience with and know if they can be bought.  The establishment wants someone they can own.  They don’t want to take risk with Cain or Ron Paul.

Yes Character does matter Glenn, my strategy is that I will defend Herman Cain until I find out that he has lied about the Bimbos, or other viable information is uncovered.  At this point I feel that all Republican candidates are being discredited…its part of the plan to make people disastisfied with the Field of candidates.

If he is a dirty old man, he shouldn’t be president. Bill Clinton was and is a dirty old man and we had to deal with during his administration. When I hear Andrea Tantaros  on Live with the Five tell everyone, that Bill Clinton is the greatest president we ever had. I wonder if she was awake at all when he was in the White House. I mean come on Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, which incidentaly caused HIS IMPEACHMENT and of course the infamous Monica Lewinski. Did anybody set the alarm clock resently? It’s kinda like Congress wasn’t aware of the emergency broadcast shuit down for today 11/09/11, until an enrage electorate called them Monday 11/07/11 to find out why everything was going to be shut down for 10 minutes. Of course that was all changed to 30 seconds. I guess your right Glenn when everyone starts to cry foul things change. Some of you guys are asking why the women are comming out now and not then. He wasn’t running for president 14 years ago.Theydon’t want a dirt bag in the White House.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jack.goldman2 Jack Goldman

right on Laurenemerson, finally someone who makes sense on this thread..Cain is in full denial because he is desperate and is gambling on his candidacy (which I think was fake but is now serious) and future millions on book deals. Unfortunately for Herman, his lies will catch up with him and more woman will come forward if this goes on for another month. Cain is so full of himself that he really thinks he will get away with it. His wife knows better. She was smart enough to cancel a public appearance with her husband last week. This is the beginning of the political en for Herman but the good news, for Herman, he has a bunch of believers who will now buy his books and pay to hear him speak and sing.

  • Anonymous

I believe that Herman Cain is being truthful, and I also believe that this is another Democrat hit-job, like they did in 2008 in order to get the weakest candidate against Obama that there was. The first two women that filed got settlements from the companies Cain worked for only because it was cheaper than going through a lawsuit.  At the same time, they said the women’s claims were baseless and demanded a clause of “No comment” in the future.  Where did that get them.  Then more women popped up to make a claim (most of them anonymous), and the one with attorney Gloria Allred has a worst history than many politicians and also made the most unbelieveable claim.  If any of these had any actual touching or force involved, the police would have been all over it.  It is coming out 14 or 15 yrs. later only because of the politics.  This is why we cannot get decent people to run for office anymore.  The media are the dirtbags.

I really liked what I saw early in the Cain candidacy.  I sincerely hoped that his message would resonnate and propel him to the top of the GOP list of candidates.  I don’t know, and I don’t think anyone knows at this point, whether or not he is innocent of the sexual harassment charges.  However, whether innocent or not, he has mismanaged the entire affair (no pun intended).  Also, it is becoming more and more evident that Cain doesn’t have the depth on many, many issues that I consider to be important.  I don’t think he even knows what he doesn’t know!  I think he loses big time, even if only real issues are considered.

  • Anonymous

Coincidence?  Two of Cain’s accusers either work for, or associated with the Obama administration.  One woman has a history of civil suits and bankruptcies and hasn’t worked in years, although you can’t tell that from perusing her jewelry, hair and clothing.  There was to be a ‘joint’ news conference by the four accusers today.  At conference time their lawyer shows up and states that there will be a press conference in the future, much like Obama’s news conference to announce that he will announce a jobs plan.  The Democrats and the Republicans have made it clear that they want Romney to have the Republican nomination.  Romney supported Obama’s healthcare plan, remember?  Meanwhile the Middle East threatens to erupt in war over the Israeli’s right to have a sovereign state, President Obama makes disparaging remarks about PM Benjamin Netanyahu  while gossipping with French President Sarkozy.  And the Democrats walk out of the SuperCommittee and President Obama states that if the Congress won’t do anything “I guess I’ll just have to do it”, while talk floats around of making the presidency a three term job, again.  We are  about to enter into a worldwide Depression of unprecedented scope and anarchy is gaining a hold in our cities with the Occupy Wall Street groups, which President Obama and the Democrats heartily endorse.  Herman Cain strongly supports Israeli’s right be a sovereign state, tells the OWS people to ‘get a job’ – remember, Cain used to sweep floors, he’ll do whatever it takes – and is unofficially the Teaparty candidate.  Now, connect the dots.  If the Republicans don’t want Cain to run it is time to start a new party of the people.
And I would like to point out that my family and I have experience in being the focus of false accusations, rumors and innuendos in the course of of work and personal life.  There is nothing you can say or do that will appease your enemies except for one thing, join them.  Those of us who hold the highest moral, ethical and Christian values refuse to join.  It’s a lonely road and we have to be strong.  Mr. Cain, I believe, is telling the truth

First of all, it’s “He said, THEY said.”  And, so genius, the only way to get your “hard” evidence is for a rape to occur and body fluid analysis… it does’nt matter how many women come forward, you still will put plugs inyour ears and keep your head in the sand. Anyone with an ounce on sense can just look at this guy and listen to him for two seconds and know what he’s all about. I predicted that GB would distance himself from Cain; Why? Well, GB may be a clown, but he’s not hopeless. Actually, from a marketing standpoint, it would be wise for GB to remain neutral on Cain.

Cain is done for politically. No use in GB taking a side at this point. Better for him to remain undecided, which is just where he claims to “stand” as of now, undecided.

I am skeptical if we can find any true honesty in our political world anymore. It would be good for Herman to bring everything to the table and we can see who is playing the game here.

I don’t know what Cain could tell you that he has not already said.  How do you answer false charges regardless of how many there are except to deny them.  It is odd to me that all of the accusers are during a short period of time that Cain was President of the Restaurant Association and all were associated with the Restaurant Association.  Did Cain suddenly become a sexual predator after 40 years in the work place during this short time period.  I certainly cannot blame him for not dragging his family into this hog wallow, and in fact respect him for not doing so.  I would hope the Restaurant Association would release the charges made against him and the details and results of their investigation.  Until much more actual proof is presented of what he did and proof that he did what he is accused of, I will go with INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.  Coming on your show will prove nothing one way or the other and I am disappointed in your implications based on the facts  we currently have.

I agree Glenn. I like Herman Cain as he is not a seasoned politician. As for honesty, well I don’t think we can find much in our politics anymore. As an independent voter I side with the Tea Party. The two party system just doesn’t work anymore.!!

I’m amazed that almost everyone posting here is certain of their stand – whichever way they lean at this time.  I know what I want to believe – that Cain is telling the truth.  So far, I really haven’t seen anything to convince me otherwise.  I am so acutely aware of the depths that political hacks (on EITHER side of the political spectrum) are willing to sink to win.  Truth doesn’t matter, winning is all that matters.  Well, so far, I feel far more confident in trusting Herman Cain than anyone else in this matter.

In my experience, if you have two parties to an event and three witnesses, you will get five versions of what happened – and all of the truth MIGHT reside in their combines stories, if you can figure out which bits to take from each of them.

Yes, character does matter, but Cain has botched his response to the allegations and he has lost many supporters who are sympathetic to his cause.

  • http://twitter.com/SurgeUSA Bruce Donnelly

I believe Herman.  The accusations are not credible – for many reasons.  I like him, and have been supportive, but I’m leaning towards Newt at this point instead.  The point is that his handling of these accusations has been awful.  His staff – Gordon and Block – have screwed up repeatedly.  They could hardly have done worse if they wanted to sabotage his campaign.  We can’t risk that in 2012.  Newt had his staff problems too – when he trusted some Perry supporters who bolted when Perry decided to run.  This is not yet fatal for Cain, but he needs to whip his campaign into shape quickly, or he’s toast.  Given his CEO turnaround experience, he should know how to do that.  It’s a key leadership test.

Ron Paul will still get my vote. I also like Chris Christy. But I would vote for Pat Buchanan before anyone! To bad those two didn’t run! They would set America straight! Obama will drag us to the ground, Cain is far too unpolished to deal with the international community and Romney belongs to a cult.

As far as character matters I’m 66 yrs old and I remember when George H. Bush stood up in front of the cameras when he was running for his second term and his foe was the un honorable William Jefferson Clinton, and Mr. Bush said, “Character matters.” And you know what, character DOES NOT MATTER.
It may matter to you and me as conservative minded people of America, but if the media and the left are against you, character does not matter at all. Obama admittedly said he did cocaine, smoked MJ and it meant NOTHING. No sir character does not matter, and has not matter since Clinton won the election to be POTUS. When had better forget that avenue for winning an election. Just look at Rangle.

I understand he has significant “baggage” and that many will be questioning his morals and ethics; however, I myself am a living example of how people can and often do change for the better over the course of 20 years and am considering giving the former speaker a chance. Would you consider doing the same? I value your opinion and would much appreciate your thoughts. :-)

I have a feeling that if women were saying that Obama harassed them, most people on this site wouldn’t be as quick to defend him as they are with Cain.

  • Anonymous

In this country, you are innocent until proven guilty.  Cain said he’d take a lie detector test, and I’d like to see him take it, because I believe he is innocent.  I think those women who are accusing him of sexual harrassment should ALSO take the lie detector test.  And, just look at their backgrounds.  Both women have a history of filing lawsuits.  The latest accuser filed for bankruptcy and I’m sure she sees this as a finanical goldmine – a book, a movie, magazine articles, all for a price.  The lie detector test should be administered by a total impartial legal counsel, NOT Gloria Alred.  Either the women or Cain is lying, and a lie detector test should put this matter to rest.

  • Prayforall

And if character is of utmost importance than where is Bialek’s character who has claimed bankruptcy twice, has been sued multiple times, has sued multiple times, purposefully got knocked up by a guy she barely knew and then sued him for child support so she could live on it.  Bring her on the show…since she said she is not afraid of her skeletons…ask her about her WGN harassment suit and ask her about the circumstances around the father of her son whom she tried to extort money.  Why wait 14 years to come out and be the face???  $$ and scams are all Bialek knows.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JDCGH57M5ETIIDMIYKYMHJEACY Bloodshy K

I think he did it.  Probably not all of it.  For example, I’m not convinced by the last couple of stories.  But I don’t think he has perfectly clean hands here.  The fact that he had one official complaint filed and a second accusation that was known by many (including Cain), but never actually filed, tells me that he either did it or he’s allowed himself to be in compromising situations too often.

I liked his speech last night.  I found it compelling.  However, when I contrast it with his interview w/Gretta on Fox, I can’t help but suspect there’s something significant and negative there that he’s unwilling to disclose.

That said, I still have enough doubt about his possible scum bag behavior that he’s still probably my second choice in the Republican field.  I already know Perry has a long history of corruption w/taxpayer $ and I find Newt’s background to be more disgusting than the worst-case scenario of the claims against Cain.

One has to ask, “If Herman’s sexaul advance was so blatant and crude umpteen years ago, why didn’t she come forward immediately and press charges?”  Also,  I find it quite amazing that anyone can remember exactly what they were wearing after more than a decade.   Another question that begs asking is, “If it wasn’t worth reporting when it occurred, why is it being reported now?”.   And what’s with the attorney?  Is the accuser fearful of being sued for liable?

It’s also interesting to note that when John F Kennedy was laying women in the White House, he got a virtual pass from the media.  And when Clinton  was accused myriad times by many women of rape or unwanted sexual advances, no one cared and he was easily re-elected, even though the stained blue dress proved his philandering.

Morals are important and I, for one, would not vote for any candidate who did not honor his/her marriage vows.  Anyone who would violate their wedding vows wouldn’t hesitate to violate their vow to protect, defend and uphold the Constitution.

Bottom line, Herman Cain was accused of impropriety  many years ago and the results of the investigations at that time did not merit the pressing of any criminal charges.  Case closed.   Quit trying to tarnish the reputation of a man who is a finer human being than either John F. Kennedy or Bill Clinton.

I’ve gone to Herman’s events, I have liked what I have heard there and on the radio.  I did not like his accusation about Perry concerning a personal attack that he made of Perry being “insensitive”.  That area has been known by that name way before Perry’s father leased it for grazing and then hunting.  Then came the next attack.  He said, without proof, that Perry was behind the harassment leaks.  Then he said it was the Left that leaked it.  Inconsistent.  Now, you all know this…but this was the bombshell last night and Fox regular network NEVER replayed with…but it was on Fox Business, Lou Dobbs at 7:00.

Earlier that day Cain emphatically stated that he did not know this woman, Bielock.  He had never seen here before her appearance with Gloria Alred.  Well, that is not exactly true according to Amy (forgot the last name) from WING.  It seems that this Bielock woman, who was in the communications field according to Amy, asked Amy to bring her BACKSTAGE to speak with Cain.  Amy did and according to Amy they had a “tense” conversation.  Amy said she deduced this from the body language of both parties.  Cain then went on stage.  It seems to me if I had a “tense” conversation with someone BACKSTAGE as opposed to the rope line, I would remember it.  What this does seem to indicate is that Amy corroborated Bielack account of speaking with Cain at a TPM event.  According to Amy (WING), Cain did have a conversation with Bielock…and Cain denied even knowing her.  My question….did he lie or forget…neither of which indicate that he should be president.

    I
indicated on my own Facebook Page, I was on the Herman Cain team for President. The
events of the last few days have not changed my mind. I ran for the US
Congress in the SC 2d District in 2000 and in the SC 3d District in
2010. I will throw myself in the barrel with Herman and say just
“Google Joe Grimaud” and see some of the comments that were made about
me by people who do not even know me nor I them. I was
made aware by my political advisor of some of the similar dirty tricks
as made against Cain. I told my own advisor that I wanted no part of
such tricks. I would rather have my reputation than to win the
election. I have also been in business long enough to realize
people find contingency lawyers to make allegations, whether real or
not, because they realize settlements will be made rather than pay the
tremendous costs of litigation. The woman who got the settlement made
an allegation against her next employer also. It becomes a way of life
for some people. If you are a woman in the workplace or otherwise, just
ask yourself how many times you have made such allegations. Probably
none! Possibly you have been involved in an accident or insurance
related case where the insurance company has settled when you know it
was not deserved. That is the reason we pay so much for our insurance.
Lawyers file claims because they know the insurance company will settle
rather than have the expense of a trial. And in this case, these
lawyers are involved, especially Gloria Allred, because they get
national notoreity and enhance their earning capacity. And the
last woman is making claims that are not even logical. Someone does
what she claims and she doesn’t want it to occur because she has a
boyfriend??? What kind of woman is this? She has reportedly not worked
in 13 years. What has she been living on? All the more reason for
Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan. She has been getting money to live on from
somewhere. Has she paid taxes? This is how Herman’s plan expands the
tax base, because like “The Fair Tax” when she buys anything she will
necessarily pay some taxes, whether she files a tax return or not. I can believe Herman a lot easier than I can believe these women who made the allegations.
He presented himself extremely well in the news conference. I still
maintain he makes a lot of common sense, and he would do a lot for our
    country.

Such hypocrites. I can think of yet another Dem who is an even worse dirt bag than Clinton and that’s Edwards. Come on. Let’s wait and see what happens with Mr. Cain before we judge him one way or another. Facts will come out soon enough.

Ok Cain is a plain spoken conservative. He has flatly denied all these allegations as being untrue. If they are untrue and this woman came out and defamed his character why isn’t he pressing a suit against her for defamation.

Whatever you think of Gloria Aldredge she is a lawyer. She knows the consequences of a defamation suit. You better believe she has something that makes her believe that the allegations are true – if for anything to cover her own but.  She has put herself in the defamation lineup with her “stimulus package” slur. Unlike Cain’s accuser – she has deep pockets that any conservative lawyer would love to pick.

Begs the question – Why not the suit?

Herman Cain is probably not available this week, or next, to go on your show, due to fighting off alligators.  With all the p[eople coming at him, he’s not thinking about going on the Glen Beck show, although it would be a good thing if he did.  I believe that this man is being railroaded by left-wing, progressive idiots with an agenda of destroying Mr. Cain and, actually, the republican election process.  On Monday, I told someone that I was surprised that Gloria Alred had not come out with one or more accusers, and surprise, surprise, 20 minutes later she appeared on the news with a woman who seemed giddy with the experience of being on the news.  Her story was not credible.  What bothers me is all of this has trivialized the real situations of women (and men) being mistreated in the workplace.  I refuse to let the left wing or media hijack my vote or choice for a candidate.  I don’t believe that Mr. Cain did the things that he is being accused.

And what foreign policy experience does Obama have, none.  At least Cain wouldn’t disrespect one of our most valued allies like Obama did.  Let’s ask Israel’s PM what he thinks of Obama’s Foreign Policies.

You all see yourself through Cain.  You have all fallen victim to some untruth in your lifetime and you sympathize with Cain.  However, Cain has been too quick to accuse others without proof, the very thing he claims he has fallen victim to.  Secondly, Cain has done something I really don’t like because I’ve had a belly full of it and that is playing the race card.  Hannity is now playing this more than Obama has even thought about.  Harassment doesn’t have a color.  Think about this.  We are talking about harassment.  The Right (and I am Conservative) have made this all about color.  No it isn’t.  Further, if we criticize Cain, which I have about his limited knowledge of foreign affairs…we are now racists for doing so.  No!  We are stating the obvious.  When Clinton did his deed…did we say that “Whitie” did it?  No.

Clearly something has gone on behind closed doors or buildings, but what?  There is too much smoke and usually there is fire.  I can understand why these women had not come forward before, because they are usually blamed by people and the media as the guilty one.  It must be extremely devastating emotionally and humiliating socially to come forward especially if you think you are alone with no one to support you and the guilty person is well known and respected. YES, character does matter because a person without principals outside of his public life is without principals within his public life. Lets hear more from the women and if Cain refuses to meet with a hardliner like Glenn then we must assume he has something to hide.

It does seem as if the women who are making the allegations don’t have much going for them upstairs, if you know what I mean. If this was a matter of no importance, I wouldn’t listen to a word they say, that’s how insignificant I think they are. Unfortunately, Cain’s enemies have built this into a case which mandates a response from Cain. Also unfortunately, and I have to agree with Glenn on this, Herman Cain does have the worst manager he could possibly have for something of this magnitude. I read several experienced political commentators lately who stated that Cain could have put this to rest immediately with the right response, but he didn’t, and that is his campaign manager’s fault, period.Yet, in a race as serious as the one for President of the United States, we have to decide whether or not this makes a difference in his judgement and ability to handle tough, stressful situations. If he can’t handle what might be bogus charges of sexual harassment, can he handle the 3:00 a.m. call that Iran is fueling a nuclear weapon aimed at Israel and the U.S.? It’s something we need to consider. At the very least, we need to be considering who we might vote for if not Cain. Mitt Romney is definitely not the guy, and Rick Pery is way too soft on illegal immigration, no matter what he says now. I always thought Ron Paul was my guy but his attitude toward Iran and radical Islam is so naive it makes my head hurt. I never thought I would go here but, New Gingrich might be who we’re looking for if Herman Cain doesn’t get the nomination. He’s someone to consider at least. I know he was a globalist back in the 90′s and early 2000 and I know a tiger doesn’t change his stripes, but maybe he’s seen that the globalist road isn’t going to take him to the White House…one can only hope.

For me there is just too much importance given minor comments and touching whether they are true or not. Teddy K had his Mary Jo K. and Clinton had his many and all the furor came to nothing. They went on and did their jobs. I didn’t like either one for their policies. Even if the Cain accusations were true, which I doubt, their importance is about 1% in the big picture. Jobs, ecomomy, debt and immigration are 90%. Can we get back to what is  important?. Those who have no skeletons should make the first statements. We haven’t heard from them yet.

Seeing how the Unions, Obama and Dems operate, if bribes don’t work try thuggery, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it was eventually  found that some of them are deeply involved in arranging for these womens’ stories to be fabricated, exaggerated and presented bit by bit over as long a time as possible to get the most media attention. That is where there is okenty of motive as Cain is a real threat to them and their policies. We will never know.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans can allow Cain to even continue to be competitive in this primary.  They have a monopoly on it.  Ron Paul hasn’t gotten the poll numbers that Cain has, so he is not a threat.  Cain is, therefore he is being smeared from both sides.  I don’t think it is a huge conspiracy, there are plenty to make up accusations.  But noncredilbe accusations are allowed to linger until they’ve done sufficient damage by creating enough doubt.

Bloodshy, what you are refusing to acknowledge is that there are always troubled people in the workplace who will file lawsuits at the drop of a hat, mostly for financial gain.  I believe that if Cain were REALLY a sexual harrasser, he’d have a long history of accusations against him.  Not the case.  Cain worked for decades in many different companies, and no complaints were filed against him, until he got to the National Restaurant Association.  I believe THEN he finally ran into some troubled opportunists who were looking for some easy money.   I’d like to see Cain take a lie detector test to prove his innocence.

I AM A WOMAN WHO WAS IN FACT SEXUALLY HARRASSED IN THE WORKPLACE APPROXIMATELY 28 YEARS AGO OF WHICH I WALKED OUT OF THAT JOB AND DIDN’T LOOK BACK.  THERE ARE ALOT OF WOMEN WHO ARE JUST OUT FOR THEMSELVES WHETHER IT IS FOR ATTENTION, MONEY, BOOK DEAL, ETC.  why now? “THESE ARE ACCUSATIONS ONLY – NOT FACT BASED.”

It is wishful thinking on many levels. We need a much stronger candidate because Obama is a professional politician and will be very tough to beat.  He is ruthless and very well backed. Cain has publicly put his foot in his mouth and looked foolish on too many occasions. He is easy fodder for the media. If this is one of the best we can deliver, we are in trouble indeed. Believe me, I wish it were not so.  Obama has to be a one term president and if the republicans are not realistic , we will lose.

Even though the GOP establishment feels threatened that an outsider like Herman Cain could come in and wreck their little corruption party, I think he’s exactly what America needs right now.  Think about it rationally.  Assume Cain wins the nomination.  He will beat Obama with one hand tied behind his back, because whoever runs against Obama will win.  Cain can bring something more, which is black Americans to the GOP, something that is absolutely needed.  Can you imagine Romney doing that?

Is everyone that posts on this site rich and need a tax break?  That seems to be the Republican number one agenda that and support the military/industrialist complex.

    Let’s look at facts.

Exempt from any cuts are Defense and social security
To raise taxes, even close loopholes to generate revenue it would take a super majority of both houses.

To amend the constitution it takes a super majority of both houses.

If you do the math – there isn’t much left over to invest in America’s future or it’s infrastructure. SBA loans, education, FEMA, medicare, research and development grants, , etc. could all be cut with a simple majority. Programs would need to be cut/eliminated to comply with the Cap portion of the act.

So my conclusion is that everyone on this site must be so rich that they need the tax cut and haven’t availed themselves of SBA loans, student loans, FEMA disaster assistance, Food Stamps, government backed mortgages, or the myriad of government programs out there.

How many of the people on this site partake in any of the government programs out there? Would be an interesting survey..

    Bootsorsaddle,

You are so right about Gloria Allred.  She is a conservative hater, conservative scandal seeker and major publicity hound of the ‘I love me, who do you love’ school of narcissm.  When she enters the picture with a juicy piece of red meat that the latest woman produced, there is a lot room for doubt.  I don’t by the I was to embarassed to report it to authorities.  It made Paula Jones famous, so these two gold diggers are trying to cash in.

Simply put, mutual tests on the lie detector would clear the air one way or other.  Personally, I don’t think he did what these women allege.  If proof positive reveals him as guilty, there is no way I want another Bill Clinton in office.  I don’t care if he is a Republican.

I am not willing to give Cain a complete pass on this, although I like him and think he is PROBABLY innoceent.   The 3 women that got payments from the National Restaurant Association got pretty small payments for a “sexual” contact like they claim.  That, and the fact that Cain was kept on as Pres. of the Association indicates to me that the truth of the accusations were not proved but the Association didn’t want to spend 10 times those amounts in litigation to prove them false.   And this latest bimbo is very questionable.  She has a connection with David Axelrod of the Obama gang and with a far-left lawyer like Gloria Allred, and a history of questionable actions like this, the whole thing reeks.   Nevertheless, the Cain Campaign has not handled this very well, so what will he do when he gets slammed with 10 times the baloney in the general election?   I just doubt that he is experienced enough in politics (a blood sport) to handle the Obama machine.

I believe you’re one of O’Rielly’s pinheads.  Bill Clinton has no credibility and certainly not enough to call anyone scum.  The so called “war mongering vile creature” is fighting for their existence and would appreciate some respect and assistance from a true friend.  Obama is out for himself, he could care less about the other world leaders or us and he’d turn on all of us if it meant one more minute in the spot light.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ramble-Rumble/100002203677409 Ramble Rumble

Many American citizens would prefer politics and politicians play nice in the playgrounds of public policy. Such sentiments do not recall the reality of sandbox play. Sometimes a kid gets in the play area and kicks sand at the other clean, colorfully dressed children.

Sometimes the kicking kid gets away with it – by denying, claiming self-defense, adults unaware, or removing the upset child from the sandbox.

Usually there is not a Marx-stream reporter to spin the sand story.

The Office of President of the United States of America is not a child’s play area. The power vested in the person sitting in the elected office to protect and defend against all domestic and foreign enemies is not a sand kick. The U.S. of A. is the only superpower in the world.

Ballots, rather than bullets, are how concerned citizens in America transfer elective offices. Our republic form of government (it is NOT a democracy) is resilient through the power shifts. But the campaigns, especially for POTUS, are not for colorfully dressed, at play, compliant children. The elected leader, by Constitutional authority, becomes Commander in Chief.

Campaign staffers know “it’s about winning, stupid.” Nothing is gained by a good clean second-place finish. Winning is easier and assured if the kicking sand happens before the “horses” get in the starting gates [Erick Erickson over at RedState continues to demean the POTUS campaign cycle with his Thursday's horse-race handicap analogies for the GOP presidential candidates].

Eliminating or damaging competition is the tactical focus of 200-page, single-spaced opposition research notebooks. The sand-kicking play may also cause the adult voting citizens to withdraw their support from the “adult-child” playing in the rough & tumble political sandbox. It is about winning, not placing or showing!

How do you damage, eliminate or reduce support for Republican front-runner Herman Cain?  [We will get to the "why, Herman Cain?" angle later]

    Character counts.

Challenge Mr. Cain in a manner that smears. The “Yes, We Cain” campaign image is built on a Washington-outsider, businessman not a politician, and a church-singing, natural warm quick comedy-side, cancer-survivor with an intact optimistic view of America and the American people.

How? Simple. It is child’s play.

Convince a woman under cover, to uncover a decade later sexual harassment scandal. Then a second one, under cover, to uncover. And a third.

Have we reached the tipping point of titillation yet? Polls indicate a withdrawing of support (and of course some pollsters poll like a bookkeeper who keeps two sets of books, one for the “internal” revenue and one for the “external” public consumption).

Pile on this, with a fourth who goes face-to-face with the public. The fourth accuser is not shamefully red-faced, but completes her blonde accessories by having All-red attorney in the glorious camera frame.

Mr. Cain, one word of advice while you are in the most powerful sandbox in the world. Do not pull your spectacles down your nose, hold your long pointing finger up and dramatically declare, “I did not have sexual relations with that women…” If you replay that Clinton-esque denial, the tipping titillation strategy is successful. Before you are out-of-the-gate in the GOP nominating process you are eliminated.

I’m waiting for the accusers to come up with something more than innuendo.  Nothing they have said so far sounds like a real charge.  Commenting on someone’s height is not offensive.  The harassment charge, which would actually be an assault charge, seems like a lie because the supposed victim’s actions don’t make any sense if it really happened.  It all sounds like b.s. to me.  I like the way Cain has handled it so far.  I thought the reporters at the CNN press conference were antagonistic morons.  Their commentary afterward particularly turned my stomach.  Where are the intelligent people?!!!  By contrast, Cain and his lawyer both impressed me with what they said and how they handled themselves.

Why is the harassment victim so happy a giggly?  Very bizarre.

So far, these sexual harassment claims from 12 years ago appear to be politically motivated. What

I like Herman Cain, and his ideas, but, character does matter.  He has said he would rely on professionals when it comes to things he doesn’t have expertise on.  He has shown horrible crisis management skills.  He seems to have the wrong staffers.  It took two weeks to get a pro attorney, and what has he done right except hold a good press conference.  He made questionable statements even then.  What about the supposed meeting 30 days ago with an accuser he didn’t recognize when she appeared with Allred.  It makes me question all of it.  Also why now? the dems would have waited until much later.

Mr. Cain, in my humble opinion, is exceedingly credible especially as compared to the anonymous accusers and the only one I’ve heard come forward with a detailed description of what transpired some 15 years ago. The account I saw on Fox News – the blond gal who said he put his hand on her thigh under her dress and caressed toward her genitalia as his other hand moved her head toward his crotch- if that truly transpired I doubt she’d have accepted any settlement; and why all of a sudden do these numerous accusations  surface?  If there was any validity to any of these, I don’t believe Mr Cain could continue to deny anything occurred.

Yes, Romney does seem to be more of “big government” with just a somewhat different flavor from the typical Democratic flavor.  Both will continue the welfare/warfare state.  Both will continue to bankrupt America… which is why if it’s Romney vs Obama, I’m voting 3rd Party or writing in the name of my candidate of choice.  No more voting for “the lesser of 2 evils” for me… because then evil ALWAYS wins.

I have liked Herman Cain since the first time that I heard him speak.  I might take some heat for this by the die hard Cain supporters, but I hope that Cain takes note.  However troublesome these allegations are, I think that there is one glaring issue to recognize; something that is actually an authentic and legitimate concern:  The folks running his campaign…That is to say THE PEOPLE HE HAS SURROUNDED HIMSELF WITH.

Herman has some admitted weaknesses and I don’t believe for one second that white, blonde women are one of them.  That said, I am worried about his policy & foreign relations shortcomings as he is, after all, running for Commander in Chief.

Up to this point, I have agreed with Cain that he can surround himself with folks that specialize in each of the necessary posts and choosing the correct people for the job is of the utmost importance.  The weaker his is on a matter, the more important his appointment becomes.

So, why does it appear to me that Cain has NOT succeeded in surrounding himself with “the right people” in his campaign?  I’ve got no beef with Block and his cigs and I  worry only a tiny bit about the allegations that HE has faced.   But Block isn’t running for office; he’s only running a campaign.
The problem is that Cain has NOT been given cohesive and sound advice with regards to a potential candidacy ki//er and I would like to know why he has taken SO LONG to identify who is looking out for him and to whom he should take heed.

Further, I get the sense that Mr. Cain is a very loyal man and that he values loyalty above all else in his friends and associates.  That said, should we be concerned that he will use loyalty as his litmus test for appointments the same way the current admin has treated Cabinet seats as a favor machine?  He needs to incorporate more than loyalty into his “wants & needs” list of folks in his corner.  He needs some real ba//busters if he wants to learn how to properly swing back.

At the end of the day, I don’t think that Mr. Cain has displayed to me that he can “surround [himself] with the right people” because if he had done so, this scandal would have been diffused by now and the “accusers” discredited publicly and emphatically.  I hate to say it, but this is a crucial time for him.  He is going to have to either bring on some qualified staffers or put some not-so-helpful advisors on the chopping block (NO PUN INTENDED).

I really do like and respect Cain and his sense of humility is refreshing.  But, sadly, it seems that the career politicians are conspiring to ‘school’ him on what it means to have “experience in politics”.

I don’t really think that this is the result of any one person’s efforts.  Every candidate is basking in this circus.  Make no mistake, some of them, I think, are only jealous that it wasn’t their campaign that found the achilles heel.  No candidate has openly condemned this practice and assault, and Bachman even went so far as to insinuate the story was credible.

(on a side note: I hope her remarks about Cain “surprising the American People” comes back to bite her in the a$$, by the way.  I used to have some respect for her, not as a viable president, but surely as a Congressional leader.  But then, her “retardation by injection” remark made every conservative who backed her look like a genuine, backwoods moron. And now joining the Cain-bashing parade…jackassery)

    Hello America,

Breaking story about the Cain sexual harrassment allegations.  One of our favorite conservative female Valkyries, great American patriot who really cares about the country, and all around investigative talking heads with a law degree, none other that Ann Coulter has shed a huge kilowatt light of truth on these allegations that can be traced straight to the Bama and his favorite ‘muscle’ David Axlerod.

All of these allegations emanate from the bastion of Kleptocrat political corruption run by the former Daley family, of which Obama and Axlerod were part and parcel of . . . Chi Town, The Windy City, Chicago.  It is imperitive that Mr. Beck book Ms. Coulter on his show, and get to work exposing these moral derilects that think nothing of smearing to destory an opponent that hurts their cause, and loves their country.

I say imperitive because the latest accuser knows Axlerod personally by virtue of sharing the same building of residency that Axlerod owns.  People that personally know this loose goosey are coming forward, all calling her a ‘golddigger’, hence Gloria Allred’s involvement, with a history of being a lady of loose morals.  The Obama operative that brought all this to light was employed in Chicago with the National Restaurant Association.

She claims, to the left-wing lamestream propaganda media that she had access to Cains personnel file in which these alleagations were recorded.  When pressed by legitimate news sources regard her allegations she denied ever making any, or that she had access to this file.  She was also a part of the Obama machine, being another close personal friend of Axlerod.  These people have a history of destroying Bama’s opponents in all the political races he has been in. Without them he would still be an Allynskyite Community Organizer Rabble Rouser on the south side of Chi Town.

Ms. Coulter has opened their can of worms.  It would behoove those that take pride in reporting the truth to ensure this gets out to as many Americans as possible.  It would appear that God still looks favorably on Herman Cain.  Please Mr. Beck, open this Obama/Axlerod closet of many skeletons and put the light of truth on their ‘dirty deeds done dirt cheap’ black subterfuge.

PS: Read Ann Coulter’s expose of what evil really looks like.

Character does matter.  So look at the folks going up against them.  By their fruits ye shall know them.  What are the fruits of these accusers?  A bunch of litigious sue happy freaks.  Look at who they choose to represent them…  Gloria Alred. One of the biggest clowns the left has to offer.  She has no qualms about being intellectually dishonest if it suits her purposes.  Thus, nothing she stands behind can be trusted in any way.

This is a fork in the road my friends, and the other side will lie cheat and steal to forward their agenda.

After watching Cain last night and hearing his words, watching his body language, and seeing his confidence, I feel that he is innocent of these charges.  On top of that, look at the women who have come forward.  They are said to have come from Obama’s office and from Politico, a very Left radical newspaper.  One woman has a history of doing such things to get money from people.   Look at her lawyer!  It’s that “Gloria- what’s-her-name”, another radical, Leftist who has taken on other disgusting hollywood types with no integrity.  I smell a skunk and it’s coming from ovomit’s thugocracy.  I believe Herman Cain and he has my prayers and support.  God bless America!

Its unfortunate but, I think the left/Obama’s people are going after Cain just as they went after Palin, but, Cain has some problems in his background that he should have realized would surface.  No company settles a lawsuit just to make it go away.  Settlements occur only after a company realizes that they are likely/very likely to lose at trial.  Motions to dismiss would be filed by the company’s lawyers and if the lawsuits have merit a judge will not dismiss them.  It appears that 2 of the women who have spoken out have baggage of their own.  But, what most people don’t know is that the company would not have been the only defendant – Cain would have been named as a defendant along with the Restaurant Assn. and while he claims he doesn’t know what the settlements were all about, those settlements could not have been made without his full knowledge and consent, as in his signature on the dotted line.

More than anything else this fact (his knowing about the contents of those settlements and signing in agreement to each of them) and denying it, says alot for me.  Add to that the fact that he’s said that there may be more that will surface and its just not good at all.

Prediction:  Cain will drop out with self righteous indignation.  We’ll be sorry to see a candidate that would likely kick Obama’s rear end go, as he would have split the black vote – which is why they had to go after him – but the man should not have started the run for the office knowing his own past – and that it would have to come back to haunt him.

I think he’s being framed.  Like Justin Beber. A lot of women want publicity and money .  It;s so easy to say a guy fondled me and get away with it.  People always tend to believe the woman. All they have to do is cry.   If there is any truth to the allegations then why wait 12 years to bring it up? even the allegations from the women who got paid don’t have to be true.  I once fired a guy for stealing 30,000 from the company.  He went to court and claimed I paged him with 666 at the trial it came out that my boss offered him 3K to drop the suit.  The judge asked him like thy guy was nuts,  “And you didn’t take it?” Later the company paid him 50K.  I told the president this was nuts.  The judge was going to give him nothing.  The president said he didn’t want any publicity in the papers.  So you see many times people get paid off even when they are wrong, and I suspect that happened to Herman Cain. So the liberal press and those he’s beating want to hang him just for this, when he’s probably a really good guy.  I think he’d beat Obama.
BTW, Glenn why isn’t there more on Obama and the homosexual charge by the mother of the Gay guy who was murdered????http://fellowshipofminds.wordpress.com/2010/07/25/mom-of-murdered-obama-gay-lover-speaks-up/

I have experienced not only what I personally perceived as
sexual harassment for me, but on two added occasions I have been cornered
and grabbed by two different coworkers.

Having been there, here a perspective for you. It is
entirely possible that both parties are telling the truth, whereas also both
parties can also be lying. No one has been able to draw the line when it sexual
harassment, and not all women have the same line. I myself have lines that are
more strict than that of some of my other female co-workers.

At one of my jobs we had a boss that was very tall in
relation to the rest of us. We all had a good relationship with him, and we
always jokingly picked on him. At times the boss would get so tickled he got us right back. Not one, male or female ever took that as sexual. This new lady got
hired and several months after we were all in a cut up mood with the boss and
the new lady was playing along. The new lady did the boss a good one and he treated her like the rest of us. OGM … she was all over screaming sexual
harassment. We could not believe she was doing this. A number of us saw and heard everything and we didn’t see any sexual harassment. Looking back now with the
experience of age, I guess this was past her line. Could she have handled it
    better? Totally, yes!

At another one of my jobs, a woman accused another
co-worker of walking into the ladies room and getting on his back and sliding
under the stall door to see her pee. She drug him through all kinds of H***. It
all ended with her leaving. A few years later I ran into her and I stopped for a
few minutes to talk to her. I was appalled when she confessed how she hated that
guy and how much fun it was doing that to him.

On the two occasions I was physically touched. I didn’t go
running to my boss or to HR. I didn’t keep it quiet to dredge it up against them years later.
I empowered myself by grabbing the nearest thing and beating them with it as they ran all around the shop and up and down the aisles and around the halls. I’ll do
    it again, too.

I have learned that communication is a two way street and
sexual harassment can be headed off at the pass before it happens. A woman has
the responsibility to see what is going on around her and see how everyone
interacts with each other. When she sees something that is across her line it is
on her to let the man know ASAP that certain behavior or remarks are across her
line. Except for the perverts that touched me, a good man will never cross a
line when he knows where it is.

With this being said, I believe Herman Cain. Whether
these woman are lying or telling the truth (we all know that perspective doesn’t
mean one or either party is a liar), doesn’t matter. What matters is that
Herman Cain is being truthful. There is nothing more to it than
    that.

I’m a child of the 1950′s and 60′s. The church I grew up in was active supporting the Civil Rights struggle back then.

This vile attack on Mr. Cain further confirms my feeling that the old night riders, the Klan, have traded in their sheets and hoods for press credentials in the liberal media establishment. At very least the big media outlets have taken over the Klan’s role as the racial and political enforcers for the liberal Democrat and progressive southern Republican establishment. Neither of those political power blocks can allow a strong, independent, conservative black man to succeed in a public way. That such a man might gain real political power is their worst nightmare. I think it would be poetic justice of Biblical proportions if Mr. Cain can be the one to bring them all down in flames and put a final end to every remaining vestige of Jim Crow politics.

Have you noticed that several of the accusers have ties to the Obama administration?   Is that a coincidence?  I don’t think so.  I think the Obama smear machine is at work.  In all of Obama’s  campaigns every one of his opponents had sexually impropriety charges raised against them.   They are trying to get rid of Herman Cain because he could challenge Obama.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_BIK65DPYWNBCGRYRQWJCRZHV5Q deekayowe

I’m on the fence about these sexual harrassment allegations. Like Glenn says, character is important. But I saw the Tea Party “debate” between Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich on C-Span the other night, and there were at least two questions Cain couldn’t answer until he heard Gingrich answer first. Gingrich had no problem knowing what he thought on all the issues. Cain didn’t know how to answer some questions. We need a president that already knows what he thinks on any given issue. He will be going up against a smooth talker in the general elections. We also need someone that doesn’t have a bunch of skeletons in his closet.

Mr.Cain is being attacked because he is a threat to the status quo in Washington. Where was the press when Obama was running for President no questions on former girl friends roomates in college… how odd! Obama was never properly vetted by the media because he was one of them. Thanks to the new media like GBTV & Fow News we now get the rest of the story. Shame on all who are trying to destroy a good man like Mr. Cain.

You know people are going to believe what they want to believe. I like Herman Cain and though I have been fooled before, I don’t believe that all these women are credible. If there is one thing people like you and Rush have taught is that if you follow the money you will find the truth. My gut tells me that if you follow the money on this one, you will indeed find a rat, but I don’t think it is going to be Herman!

  • Texan2525

I think we can all agree Cain is a wise man, smarter than most.  His résumé is distinguished, and he’s been in the public-eye for some time, even a radio personality.  All that said, he would have to be a complete idiot to run for POTUS knowing full well women were out there just waiting to sell their stories.

Some people are so weak-kneed; don’t go there.  If you supported Cain in the past you should support him now. Do not let the left make it impossible for this man to succeed. Blood will be on your hands.

No.  We elected a 1/16th black man.  But the key to the sentence is “self-made”.  Obama has done nothing to earn anything he has. His records are buried; I’m sure to hide the fact that he was admitted to school based on his 1/16th black genetics  He has no records of any achievements or accomplishments on his own volition.

Herman Cain, on the other hand, has remarkable achievements on his own.

polygraphs are worthless Caine could be nervous tell the truth and fail whereas the woman could be relaxed and pass event though she was lying through her teeth. there is a reason polygraphs are inadmissible because they don’t do anything but tell how anxious or nervous a person is, not why that person is anxious or nervous. And the operators of polygraphs have no interest in the truth and automatically assume guilt.

Herman Cain, being an intelligent BLACK conservative, is a huge threat to the lieberals and their huge black voting block that got Obuma in. They know that if Mr. Cain gets the nomination, Obuma will be out the door. Personally, I think this is a “set up” by either the far left and the Lame Stream Media or another front running republican. Others have said these women are gold diggers. I agree. Why wait until NOW to come forth with these wild accusations? Gold diggers is a polite term. I have one that better fits these women.
Herman Cain will always have my support and my vote, even if I have to write him in.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1066872075 Patricia Williams

The 90′s were a weird time where sexual harassment is concerned, the concept and specifically what constituted an “offense” was poorly defined, and pretty much ANYTHING could have qualified. I was witness to a false sexual harrassment charge in the early days of my career (in the 90s)…a young woman who performed poorly got a negative, but fair evaluation – she didn’t like it, so she accused the evaluator of harassment. It was a completely baseless and fabricated accusation – and I would know as I was there. If that gentleman were to run for public office today, the young woman in question could surface and say she filed a claim against him. Doesn’t mean the harrassment really happened, simply that she filed a baseless claim.
Based on what I’ve learned about the two women who have gone public, I would not trust them as far as I could throw them. One appears to be a repeat offender – filing claims against Cain, then again at her next job; the other has an EXTREMELY shady history. I’ve seen what false allegations can do to a man; and I’ve seen the negative light that it casts on ALL women, including those with legitimate claims. So far – I believe Cain, and until some real, concrete EVIDENCE surfaces, I’m sticking with him.

When this first came out I attended a meeting in which I was the only female in the group. Each of the men relayed a story in which they were falsely accused of sexual harassment. My husband was accused and I know for a fact that was untrue because I was with him. Men are being accused for what we in the recent past would have called politeness – holding doors open, offering to carry heavy packages, helping a lady off with her coat.
The second issue I have with all this is why are they all coming out now and why ONLY with the restaurant association. If Cain has that many allegations then why wasn’t he fired, as no respectable association would have kept him. Likewise, why aren’t people coming forth from Godfather’s Pizza or Burger King? If there were so many credible accusations then they would have span more than one employer.
I personally believe these accusations are all false and this is an attempt by either the dems or a republican candidate to discredit Cain and get him out of the race. If so we cannot let these allegations sway our decisions. Tough to tell with the LSM these days.

One point that no one has raised yet is that the Herman Cain story has become a blunt instrument that the Obama campaign and/or DNC will use to bludgeon Republicans, and by extension, the GOP presidential candidate (and any other GOP candidate) in the 2012 general election.  And it will work no matter who the nominee is.  If we choose someone other than Cain as our presidential nominee, we will be painted as unredeemable racists: “Look how ready they were to dump Cain, on mere allegations.  Typical white bigots, all to ready to believe that every black man is a rapist in the shadows, waiting for the chance to attack their wives and daughters . . .” In fact, that sentiment has already be raised by MSNBC’s Toure: “We’re going to see how open the GOP is to their new black friend when they find out he’s harassing blonde women as opposed to black women. That sort of thing of black sexuality — predatory black sexuality. Very frightening in this country, still. Very threatening. So we’ll see how that plays out. “

If, on the other hand, Cain should win the GOP nomination, then we will all be painted as hypocritical sexist thugs: “Those crass Republicans are willing to overlook sexual violence just to put forward a black candidate against President Obama – because they know the only way they can beat this black man (that they hate) is by putting up their own Uncle Tom, puppet, lackey black candidate.  They likely didn’t think twice about his past sexual predations, because, as the racists they are, they probably think that’s normal behavior for all black men.  We know they are all racists, because that’s the only reason they are so against everything President Obama is trying to do . . .”

    Blah, blah, blah . . . .

I don’t say that the Dems or the Obama campaign leaked the story of past sexual harassment allegations (I’ll leave that to the conspiracy theorists), but I am sure that somone on the Obama campaign staff or the DNC will be smart enough to make the claims I just outlined, ridiculous as they may be.  But conspiracy or no, it is noteworthy that “anonymous sources” have been cited to claim that the Romney campaign leaked the story – sure looks like an attempt to use the blunt instrument in advance to knock a potentially threatening GOP candidate out of the race.  While the Cain campaign has not taken that bait, his campaign manager decided, without benefit of “anonymous sources” to steer the train wreck straight into the Perry campaign which his charge that a Perry aide leaked the story, and managed to do so in a way that further eroded Cain’s credibility even while attacking Perry’s honor.  Hard to believe that he wasn’t paid off to do that (they say to never ascribe to conspiracy what can be explained by incompetence, but this is a level of incompetence that is hard to believe.

Pleeze don’t waste your vote…..we must remove Obama from office because as a lame duckpresident he will completely destroy America as we know it. Keep the faith that Romney willnot be our candidate. Subject: [glennbeck] Re: Where does Glenn stand on Herman Cain?

The Administration and the media elites HAVE to squash Cain for two reasons: (1) he could siphon off black and Latino votes and, equally important (2) many more blacks might consider how they have been led around by the Administration and the media and choose liberty over liberalism because Cain challenges them to think outside the government plantation. The last thing the Controllers want is to have their “safe” voting blocks questioning the shaky premises on which liberalism and socialism now share. They can’t stand freedom and light.

  • Anonymous

From what I’ve read so far, I think
it’s ridiculous that this issue is that big a problem for Cain. There seem to
be far more women coming to his defense than claiming offense, suggesting that
there is, as with any powerful executive, man or woman, a mixed reaction to his
style of management. I can’t see where this comes close to the association with
known terrorists, a controversial pastor, donor pay to play scandals or shady
real estate dealings of our current president. If Obama got a pass on all of
that, the attention on Cain in this matter seems petty at best.

    Anyhow …..Aren’t illicit sexual
relations a prerequisite for the Democratic Party? Gee ….He may have won over
    the other side!

    You have to wonder.
When it was Clinton, the Liberals were all “It was just sex, nothing for
    us to concern ourselves about”
…..Rather than the actual charge which was LYING under oath.

    But  …..Now, simply
“allegations” that someone complained that Cain “said”
something inappropriate … is somehow reason enough to claim he is NOT QUALIFIED
to be President?  Ya gotta LOVE the
    double standard of the Liberals.

    The whole thing is a
bunch of garbage, just accusations that anyone could make that is hard to
defend. That these people settled for so little and that these accusations
didn’t meet any federal criteria for harassment is all you really need to know.
Then the bandwagon person saying ” I thought about making a charge”,
what a riot ……Just some folks looking for their 15 seconds of fame. Total BS
cooked up from who cares where but, smells suspiciously like GOP elitists, now
that their boy Christie has bowed out and Cain has overtaken Romney in many
    polls and early primary states.

I think you are way off base here, Glenn.  You need to remember – innocent until proven guilty.  You also need to listen and WATCH the body language of those two blondes AND Attorney Gloria!  They had looks of guilt all over them.  Has Gloria ever backed innocent women?  I can’t remember when.  Both of the women in front of the cameras have VERY tainted pasts and everyone who has talked with Herman find him to be the real thing.

I know women!  I am one.  I think those two blondes are looking for notoriety and MONEY and someone has encouraged them that they can do two things – bring down a good man and make big bucks in interviews.  At this point, I’m going with Mr. Cain.  I will wait for final judgment, but I am certainly NOT going with you on doubting him at this point.  I think, generally, women make better judges of other women’s actions – particularly when they are looking for attention and a sex scandal!

The 9-9-9 plan would not load the middle class. The huge reduction in corporate taxes would bring goods prices down due to competition enough to offset the Sales tax. Payroll taxes get elimimated roo. That affects all that work. Effectively putting 9% tax on imported products incorporated in american products puts some of the burden on China, it is about time. Reduced prices for american goods to export favors jobs. Getting rid of $400B in tax compliance paperwork makes the whole nation more efficient and further reduces internal costs. The  nation benefits evey time things are made more efficient, as we become more competitive. Think how much more pleasant life would be without those taxforms. Getting rid of subsidies lets the market place choose who wins and loses. Taxpayers supporting business that would fail without gov’t support aaren’t useful to the nation, they just increase prices and taxes on the rest. Sure some people will pay a little more and others less, but the big benefit to the nation is the reduction in paper work which benefits us all. I am in the middle and I am for it.

“There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper
in a professional relationship,” the article read, talk about vague legal jargon,   ….So, if I were to hug a fellow coworker/associate, this could be interpreted as a physical gesture that is improper in the workplace.

What business is it of anyone’s if I want to give comfort to someone experiencing an illness, or maybe just getting news of a serious diagnosis, or the sudden loss of someone they cared about and loved ….What crap!

Ever seen Paula Deen on Food Network show? ….Also on many talk shows ….It’s not out of the norm that some live this way ….It’s no way sexual…. just part of our environment. From what I’ve
observed, Southerners are friendly, caring people in both their personal and their business lives.

Guess I need to never touch a coworker in any manner, pat their shoulder or arm etc. – just keep my distance, even when someone is going through a difficult time ….What has this world come to?

Keep up the good work Herman ………You’ve won my vote!

The way the questions are asked can skew the results.
If you ask a parent who’s child got hurt in a accident at school if they are responsible they could fail saying no because even though they were not there they would still feel responsible.

I want so much to believe this is a smear tactic, but the President of this Nation needs to be a man of intergrity.  We have had enough of the politicians that LIE and Deal Behind Our Backs.  The Amercian People are just plain tired of POLITICIANS period!  We need a 21st century George Washington to apply for the position.  Where is he?  How can we find him?

Herman Cain has more integrity in his little finger than the entire administration has.  Just look at his record of successes in his life.  Companies turned around from the brink of bankruptcy and turned to be successes shows more economic sense that we so desperately need today.  I believe that all that is happening to him is a hatchet job by the scared people in power now.  They know that Obummer cannot hold his own against Herman Cain in a debate.

    It was all
over (for me) when Gloria Allred jumped into the picture. She is nothing but a
pure Democratic A-Team hit person. Look what she did to Meg Whitman and the
lying domestic helper Meg fired. I mean REALLY? Gloria coached the domestic
helper to say things like “Meg pointed a gun at my head. Then she pointed
it at my puppet” That was stupid beyond belief. But it served its purpose.
I used to be in law enforcement and believe me, if some guy in a meeting tried
to run his hand up a female’s leg and attempt to touch her private parts there
would have been something happen immediately. The issue would have brought up a
lot sooner than years later. None of these women were some fresh out of the
class room high school or college grad. All have been around the block more
than once. The background of these women which is starting to come out is
showing them to be less than credible. Even more interesting is they are
‘piling on’ as not ONE of them could stand alone regarding their charges. As an
investigator I would NEVER let victims get together so they could put a story
which is what is happening now. I personally think this shows how both the
other candidates and the democrats fear Cain.

If it’s true, I am so disappointed. I was really rooting for Herman Cain. He seems so genuine. We will never know, so what do we do now?! This could be an inside job. Because Herman Cain is not the white conservative the Democrats expected.
I still say what Bill Clinton did, was sooooo much worse! And he did it in the White House!!!! I thought he should have been impeached! He lied and disrespected the American people and the White House. We wonder why our society has gone to hell.

I like Cain.  My intuition is telling me that since Obummer likes and is planning to use the RACE card, the Dems are trying their best to destroy Cain.  I think he did really well on tonights debate.  BUT, I think the 3 candidates that did the best were Newt, Mitt, and Michelle.  I think Cain has a staff that is trying to bring him up to parr (on national economic, security, housing) issues as quickly as possible.  It’s not that he’s not a really smart guy, he just hasn’t had the access to some of this info the others have been privey to.
But, AGAIN, I think this harrassment business has been started by the DEMS in OBUMMERS CAMP, they are scared to death for him to have to run against another black man,,,,, THAT ACTUALLY HAS AN EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE IN THE BUSINESS WORLD,,,,,  AND LOVES THIS COUNTRY AND GOD.

I “was” behind Cain until this whole mess came out! I would like to know the truth. Sadly most of these types of situations are “He said”/ “She said”. Most important though is the fact that there have been two settlements! Not just allegations, but actual settlements. I can not vote for anyone who makes a habit of sexually molesting women. Usually where there is smoke there is fire! Two settlements! Surely Cain knew this was going to come out….. why run? Why risk loosing the chance to win back the White House? We (Republicans) are sitting pretty good with all the screw ups that Obama has made. Why risk the election? Who is there to fall back on to run a good race? If Romney wasn’t the next thing to a Democrat, and if Perry wasn’t trying to support the illegal Mexicans to the detriment of actual citizens and also trying to cheat the elderly out of their Social Security; we may have some hope there. Sadly no one else is close…… we NEED a viable candidate!!! We can’t lose by forfeit!!!

I have to believe his accusers.  I have been in the workplace for 35+ yrs & have been in two situations similar to this fourth woman.  Only my husband knows about the incidents & there’s nothing to be gained by coming forward.  However, if either of these men were running for President, I would definitely come forward.  American voters would need to know their character & morals.  So for that reason, I do NOT question why these women are coming forward now.  They should be!

    Very interesting insights!

If we are going to bring up accusations…Where’s has the media and Gloria been for the past 3-4 years…On Obama’s 3 homosexual, cocaine lovers!… Larry Sinclair who wrote a book about his drug homosexual affair w/ Obama….. the Rev. Wright church choir leader, Donald Young…and one more named Bland….All MURDERED right before the Obama’s election….Rahn Emanuel was Obama’s election manager at the time…Donald Young’s mom is still trying to get the police to investigate her son’s murder 3 yrs. later!….And how timely Obama’s white grandma dies around the same time, never to be questioned about Obama’s Birth place, DOB, SS, Schools, communist, Marxist past, and Muslim religion, etc.
In the light of smearing and destroying HERMAN CAIN’S name … The least we can do is be fair and bring Obama’s accusations to the front line!…Cain’s accusations are minor in comparison To CRIMES that Obama is accused of!

I totally agree Cain needs a new manager!

I have been listening to all the coverage and none of it makes sense to me, except that they are trying to stop Herman Cain, they being on the left and the right.  I liked what Cain’s attorney pointed out, Cain was never given his day in court to face his accusers.  That to me seems too convenient for those trying to ruin his chances.  I know that many will question this, but although I don’t neccessarily go by gut feelings on things, I do go by what I feel in my spirit.  After much prayers, I really believe that Cain is who he claims to be.  I’ve already donated to his campaign, something I’ve never done with any other candidate, but there is something special about Cain.

He does not have it. I know most of you aren’t going to believe an anonymous poster on GB.com, but I personally know that Cain has some serious moral flaws. I say this because I may have a little more information in regards to this matter than the average poster… Take that as you like.

Your perspective on these allegations is a two way street. Cain does not have the facts or evidence to defend himself against these allegations. Whether they true or not, the fact of the matter is that they exist. To convict or dismiss an individual based on these allegations would both be irresponsible. All Cain needs to do is explain exactly what happened and have the NRA release all information pertaining to this matter. So far he has not done either, which leads be to suspect he may have something to hide…

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dorothy-Margraf/1236994006 Dorothy Margraf

I don’t think Cain ever thought he would be running for the office of president.  Early on people were asking why he wasn’t on the campaign trail and was just going around selling this book.  He chose a weak campaign manager, probably because Cain isn’t getting advice from the Republican establishment.  Leaders may think there is no hope for him so they don’t want to back a loser.  As far as the women, Cain appears to me as a person who is very deliberate in his actions and rash actions aren’t part of his personality.  Instead of Cain taking a lie detector test, the women should be taking the test considering that there is such a big connection to the Obama network.

TWO SETTLEMENTS! You get a clue!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jw-Appling/100001282155183 J.w. Appling

You sure are quick to condemn with no proof.  He said to one of them “you are the same height as my wife” oh yea that molestation. Yea right. You need to learn the diffrence between “alleged sexual harrassment” and “molestation”.
    Sexual harassment
“Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other
verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitutes sexual
harassment when submission to or rejection of this conduct
explicitly or implicitly affects an individual’s employment,
unreasonably interferes with an individual’s work  performance or
creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.”
The woman in the case felt that comparing her height to his wifes was a “unwanted sexual advance”
     Sexual molestation
“To subject to unwanted or improper sexual activity.”
Do you see the difference he never touched the woman the N.R.A. settled with.

And as for the last accuser its all made up she is hanging herself the truth is coming out.

“Economy is no reason to admit to wrong doing. ”
He never admitted any wrong doing at all the lawyers decided it was cheaper to pay off this extortionist than it was to fight it in court it happens all the time. False sexual harassment claims are settled more often than they are fought just for the reason false claims are far more common than real ones just for the simple fact that they are very expensive to fight and the accuser almost never gets punished for filing false claims.

Glenn, I am disappointed that you seem to be swayed by the conversation with the radio personality who said she saw Herman Cain backstage with the Alred’s client. That was a strange conversation. You said yourself that he did not appear to be upset that day when you sat down with him. At the end of your interview with the radio personality, she suddenly came out and slammed Cain, and you seemed to doubt him after that. How do you know what that lady’s story is, that she wasn’t a plant to bring legitimacy to suspicious accusation? Isn’t either side of the political machine capable of such a low tactic? We all know what evil lurks in politics.

I get the feeling that you are ticked that Herman didn’t accept the invitation to be on your show. He hs not belittled you. He has been on your show before. Maybe he has too much going on this week,. Maybe he has been advised to stay away from the spotlight for now. Remember, Glenn, he was the one man who went to Israel when all of the others backed out, and he didn’t do it to get publicity.

It is hard to see a man of honor who I admire distrusting another man of honor who I also admire, when there are no hard facts. Are you doubting your own judgement of the man you have met and talked to because of what someone said? That’s not like the Glenn Beck I know.

I would be so surprised and sad if these allegations were true, and I will have to re-evaluate my position if, indeed, these accusations are true. But now I believe the man who had the courage to stand before America and the world, look them straight in the eye, and stand up for himself. I believe that  it is not just some tea party folk who want to see Herman as our President. I believe that he has been called by a higher power to lead us out of the wilderness. I think he may be our generation’s George Washington.

  • Anonymous

It is smear campaign either directed by the White House or from both political parties.  It seems that the leadership and character of Herman Cain threatened their political standings.

  • Robert Potter

I have to respect Cain for responding without reservations to these allegations.  If I were in his shoes I would show up to this group press conferance the accusers are going to have and bring my lie detector test with me.  At that point make the offer to run the test in front of the press to show my desire for transparency.  Oh yeah, and bring a police lab tec to administer it to all 6 of us.  Then the people could see who begs off and who is willing to back up their statements.  So far Cain is the only one willing to take a lie detector test and that is the only evidence we have 15 YEARS later.  I do seem to remember something about slander being illegal and I’m not a lawyer but I would say someone here should have a case.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_WA4KIUY2ANO7GFZSUPAXR5C6WM Cindy

It has apparently surfaced that one of the accusers lives in the same building as David Axelrod and that all of the allegations are coming out of Chicago, where Herman Cain never lived … only the National Restaurant Association was headquartered (?) … and why would anyone wait 14 years to bring something out in the open? Anyway, it has been said, I believe by Karl Rove, that Herman must demand that the National Restaurant Association release the transcripts – all the materials dealing with these issues, and let the public see for itself that indeed, these allegations were BASELESS and that Herman is innocent.
It has also been brought up that Mr Cain is being treated as many black men of history, like someone with sexual depravity, and this public and technologically-orchestrated “lynching” of Herman Cain is the left plans to eliminate Herman from the horserace.
Maybe it’s time for you, Glenn, and possibly O’Reilly and even Greta van Susteren to INVESTIGATE these allegations and the women who are making them! Now, Eric Erikson said that the GOP demanded Clinton come clean and that he NOT smear the accusers, and that if Herman smears the accusers, then the GOP is hypocritical! However, nobody ever dealt with the Obama mafia before! If there is a dirty trick that will enable him to meet his goal, he’ll take it!
Herman may not be perfect, but he is a man of character and has worked hard- fulfilling the American dream — and he wants to pass on the American dream to our children and grandchildren! We CANNOT allow the leftists to destroy him like an “uncle Tom”

You must remember the context in which he said he would take a lie detecter test. First, If I recall correctly, a reporter actually had brought it up. Secondly, Cain said “Yes. I absolutely would, but I’m not going to do that unless I have a good reason to do that….”

What would be “a good reason”?

snowleopard- Here is where I empathize with the accusers who were unwilling to reveal their identity, but at the same time wanted to expose the true nature of Cain’s character. All I will say is this… I personally know someone who had previously worked with Cain (in a business context). The story this person shared with me presents Cain as a man with an enormous ego, questionable ethics and little regard for others.

Herman Cain’s critics only have to slow him down enough to cripple his primary chances. After that, it won’t matter if these women all turn out to be using manufactured innuendo to derail his presidency.

If there’s anything that gets Democrats riled up, it’s one of their minority ‘slaves’ straying from the plantation. They absolutely have to nip in the bud any minority who dares challenge the status quo of the Democrat lock on the votes of those most dependent on their welfare largesse — and Herman Cain stands for rejection of the Democrat plantation mentality.

I am not sure Mr. Cain is completely innocent, however I don’t believe he ever put his hand up the latest accusers skirt or jerked her head to his crotch. We all need to remember they are talking about 1997 when they were just starting to talk about harassment. I worked in an office at that time and I can say now in 2011 that I heard people of both sexes say things that would get you fired today. I can tell you that had any man put his hand under my skirt my hand would have stopped him long before he reached my crotch and he would not have been able to push my head to his crotch! My thoughts about the latest Hoochy Coochie from Chicago: She tried to come on to him and he turned her down and didn’t help her with employment. Next remember Gloria Allred is a friend of Nancy Pellosi and was also involved in smearing another Republican in California during the last election. @ seedy women giving us all a bad name!

Oh, Glenn.  After all the unfair, untrue, and nasty things that have been said about YOU, have you OR WOULD YOU ever, ever drag your dear wife out to defend you or refute what someone else has said about you?   Both you and Herman are big boys, you handle your own careers, as it should be.  How many times have we all watched the wife come out and stand by her guy, as we all think to ourselves she looks the pathetic faithful fool.  In Herman’s case, I applaud him for not putting Gloria in that position.  She should not need to come forth to answer to voters, the media OR you.  I am really disappointed.

  • Anonymous

As I have heard said, even if Cain is totally innocent, it is a bit unnerving that the people he has chosen as his campaign leaders have done a very poor job. It hasn’t been handled as well as it could have been. That may be an indication of how he would handle problems in the white house. Don’t you think that knowing 10 days before Politico made their statement that they could have been more prepared? I think Cain should call for the release of the reports that transpired regarding the accusations without naming the women involved.

  • Anonymous

P.S.  Herman is the only politician that honored his word and attended your event in Israel, even though others cowardly backed out on you.  Where does THAT count in your judgment of his character?

  • scottherrell

Character absolutely does matter.  At least to we conservatives it does.
But we must be very careful.  If Cain was to drop out, or even lose because of these allegations even if they remain unproven, what kind of system are we creating?  Put this in perspective: a man is apparently on his way to the highest political office in our nation.  Then some suspicious women make allegations, many years after the supposed offense, that by their age and nature can never be proven true or false, and we allow our potential leader to be derailed by them?  We completely take the women’s word for it just because they said it?  And the women face no consequences if they’re lying?
Does that sound like the world’s model for democracy?
And by the way, I think it’s a fair bet that there is something sketchy happening anytime Gloria Allred is involved.

  • scottherrell

Come on, don’t use these postings to promote your business.  Very classless.

Glenn, I’m a staunch supporter both of YOU and of Herman Cain. I MUST ask that you PLEASE correct something you inaccurately reported on your radio show today (11/09) about Mr. Cain. In all fairness I KNOW you will. You were discussing the so-called “photo” showing Mr. Cain with Sharon Bialek, the inference being by Pat and your caller that “Oops, Mr. Cain messed up again–he DID meet Bialek recently”. Well, no, actually. THERE IS NO PHOTO of Herman Cain with Bialek. You, Pat, and your caller (along with CNN, CBS, MSNBC) are all mistaken. The “photo” in question is Mr. Cain and AMY JACOBSON. It has been sadly CONFUSED and grossly and incorrectly reported as being Bialek and he. Unfortunately it’s causing severe damage to Mr. Cain. It  needs to be corrected before MORE undeserved harm is done to this man’s reputation. As I said, the photo of which you, your caller, Pat, (and the MSM) speak, is of AMY JACOBSON with Mr. Cain at TeaCon. I am a little disappointed in you guys, I must confess, because the photo in question APPEARED ON YOUR OWN RADIO blog from the interview YOU conducted with Ms. Jacobson on 11/08. If you recall, Ms. Jacobson is the “witness” to the accuser, Bialek, of the (as Ms. Jacobson put it) “little bit flirty” hug Bialek gave Mr. Cain backstage just minutes before you met him. Please correct this on your show as best you can, now that the cow is out of the barn…. Perhaps Nellie can be nudged back into the stall if you give it some air time. I believe you usually try very hard to do the right thing. This poor man. I know you didn’t do it on purpose, but please be EXTRA DILIGENT about accepting what you hear carte blanche, especially from Mr. Cain’s detractors. By the way,  A BIGGIE…you might want to investigate this: http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/16002149/investigator-herman-cain-innocent-of-sexual-advances?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#.TrsT_Xc_fJg.twitter IT IS HUGE.This photo mishap is just one more great and undeserved injustice to Mr. Cain’s rep. He needs more mis-information ladled to the public like he needs a hole in the head. Thanks,A fan…

after her seperation payments from the NRA, she filed a complaint of similar nature from her next employer. Again she got a seperation payment. A sweet deal if you can get it.  Corporations pay off this kind of BS all the time as it is easier to pay them and make them sign a legal agreement to keep their mouths shut about the whole thing. This is accomplishes two things. One is to get the problem to leave for less than it costs to fight them in court. Two is to make them keep their mouth shut so they don’t promote their little scam to other possible like minded persons. FYI when I was in law enforcement, it was common for Cities and Counties to do this as well, which used to really tick those of us working the street off big time. It doesn’t MATTER if you are right or innocent or not even there. Make the claim is the game. It doesn’t matter if there is any basis in fact.

CBS ATLANTA NEWS: $15,000 software UTILIZED BY POLICE, analyses body and voice for deception. It is 95% accurate, whereas a “lie detector” is merely 50% accurate at best. AS REPORTED by CBS ATLANTA NEWS, this software VERIFIED that a.) Herman Cain is TELLING THE TRUTH, and b.) Bialek is LYING. http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/16002149/investigator-herman-cain-innocent-of-sexual-advances?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#.TrsT_Xc_fJg.twitter

do ya think maybe, just maybe, Obama has Axelrod checking everything about everyone running on the R ticket to get all the dirt on them  to get the R ticket people to back down and since Obama pretty much gets away with everything he does that is not good for us, he can get away with this stupid, childish stunt against Cain. I like Cain, he is honest, says what is right and good for the country, and he has integrity and character. That is what I see and hear from him. And I do not read the papers. I want to see the man talk directly to me on the TV. I want to see his eyes and his body language. Obama laughs it all off, but Cain is straightforward. Obama needs to forgive his mama and white people. He has some serious mental issues with his mom getting him up early each morning to ‘train’ him in his studies. And she was white. It is time Obama stopped taking out his frustrations and hate on us Americans. Only children who have missed their childhood do this in adulthood. He obviously does not see what a fool he is making of himself. Sad. The people who are not working should go out full force and volunteer everywhere to keep the costs down for their states. People could take care of their parents and family with less costs if they had volunteers to help with respite and companionship. We do not need so much government. Look what it leads us into. Cain should also call for these women to take the polygraph tests. They are being paid big time to destroy. Obama is just looking for something else to throw the people off the trail of his lies while he is campaigning.

  • w. Parker

Lie detectors can be as accurate as 97% and as low as low 80 percentile, depending on who is administering the test.  FBI lie detector experts claim it is over 97 % accurate.  I believe Mr Cain has offered to take such a test.  Lets take him up on it

  • Anonymous

gthomas, you got it. I believe Obama and his crew will stop at nothing to get Cain out of there. Cain is standing up for Americans. He does not live by the government rules. He is honest and straight and willing to take on anyone who has a cause. He knows what is happening and he is not going to be kicked out on his butt because of anything that this administration throws at him. They tried it with Palin. Cain has great ideas and willing to see them through. Perry and Romney just argue too much. They lost my vote two debates ago. I do not want to see childish behavior from my president in 2012. Cain is learning as he goes and more support for him will only make things better for him and make him stronger.

Wait a minute, aren’t these the same people who loved Pres. Clinton. So what is the problem? We obviously don’t really care about morals or integrity.  Or wedding vows.  We all know that part of being a woman is being sexually harrassed, either verbally or physically. What the problem really is, is these women think they should be paid because they didn’t have the good sense to stop a man from abusing them. Good grief, $45,000 because someone said  something you didn’t like or stood too close to you or perhaps misunderstood what you appeared to be offering.  And how in the world can you  remember all these details after so many years. Your life must be pretty boring.

As you say, no one is perfect and that includes “Glenn give the muslim firearm lessons” too; referring to an earlier blog where Glenn defends a muslim, in Texas, who was rejected by a gun shop owner of offering firearm instruction, calling the shop owner “racist”.  About 90% of the comments showed shock at Glenns response.  The blog was quickly deleted.  Glenn is 95% right on the money, but as you said, “no one is perfect”.   I seriously doubt Newt is a stooge, but not perfect either, but i believe most would agree he is a better debater than any other contender, more intelligent, with the most experience, insight and wit – - the only one who could make cream pie of obama in any debate, anytime, anywhere – and that’s important

What troubles me most is what some of the reporters/journalists have said the last couple of days publicly. “He’s a black man sexually attacking white women! Blondes even!” and as one female reporter stated that Cain atacked “one of us.” Does anyone think this is racial? Where is the black comunity? Where is Jessie Jackson? Where is Charlie Rangel? Where is the Black Caucus? What if someone on Fox News made these statements? Aparently party trumps race. Evidently Democrat comes before black.

My fear is that many of his supporters are still backing him precisely because he is a black conservative. The reason I say this is because you mentioned “race” several times in your post which leads me to suspect that Cain’s race is of particular relevance to his appeal

If a conservative ever made any of the comments they are using to discribe Cain about or referring to Obama, they would be called racist. You brought up a very telling point, Glenn, regarding this entire matter with Cain.  As for the women

coming out with their accusations—why now?   Why not now?  This is the moment in time when those

who do not want Cain to succeed want to take him down.  And they will use whatever is at hand, true or

false.  As long as they get enough people to believe any lies that may be told about this man and turn

away in disgust, they will have won, by keeping who might be a decent and honest man out of the

running—their goal all along.  If the women are telling the truth, we will certainly know for sure that they

Aren’t you blowing this a bit out of proportion?  The klan, a part of the liberal media establishment?  It was the liberal media establishment who put a black man into the WH.  They would defend him whether the contender is another black, hillory clinton, or anyone…”The progressive southern republican establishment” – - what are you talking about.  Do you see your own prejudices as the way you speak of the south?  We’re not in the 50′s-60′s anymore pal, wake up.  And you speak as if you are such a high and mighty purified christian, making the statements you are making?  “The racial hate mongers in the south”…The civil war ended over 150 years ago but it seems you are still fighting it.  It is the south that Cain comes from and was able to succeed in.  I guess Lincoln is your insperation too – - the same person who said blacks were physically different than whites, did not belong living with whites and should not be allowed to vote.  The same person who planned to send them to Liberia on boats after the civil war.  Actually, it was Booth which prevented that from happening.  Research those “facts”  I grew up in the 50′s-60′s too, in the south, and i don’t like your label.  You shouldn’t generalize.  Look who’s talking, and it is you that come from and live in the “Peoples Republic of Mass” – one of the most liberal, progressive states in america…Unlike you, i do believe there are some there that who are not part of that establishment

It’s pretty simple “why now?”. The left can’t use the race card against Cain, so they try to paint him as a sexist. Unless the users recant I guarantee that Cain will always be both suspect and criticized by liberal women’s rights groups. It’s Clarence Thomas all over again.

We have a responsibility to find out if their stories have any validity. If they do not, our responsibility transforms into one of attack. Attack Cain’s accusers, attack the media bias, and attack the political left for their hypocricy and dishonesty. Black Americans deserve the right to make political choices free of systematic oppression. If we do not fervently defend black candidates on the right we have no right to question why the black vote is loyal to the left. There is oppression in America. It is rooted in politics and this sudden ambush on Cain is on the front lines of the battle between good and evil in America.

If the stories of Cain’s accusers do turn out to be true (Cain admission or numerous witnesses) then obviously Cain has to go. However, even then the tactics and nature with which this political hit has been carried out are no less vile. I wonder.  Cain is a charming guy.  Is he a flirt?  Is he an innocent flirt?  When I heard the latest accuser’s report, it was too … scripted?  It had holes.  I really don’t care what happened to her.  I hate to say it, but it sure seems like it wasn’t that big of a deal.  He made a move (maybe), and she rejected them.  He then stopped.  It seems no one actually DID anything with any of them.  But, on the other hand, he was married when he may have tried.  I just “feel” like it’s a “left” ambush.  If it’s true?  Yeah, it’s a problem.  But, when I vote, if it has to be lesser of two evils, then I’ll do it.  A creep who cheats (or tried to) on his wife that is loyal to his country?  Or … a creep who has maybe been loyal to his wide (or hasn’t had the left looking hard for guilt of flirtatious behavior) but is extremely disloyal to his country and desires to dismantle her?  I’ll vote for the guy who in a time where maybe he was feeling dissatisfied at home (maybe because he was working too often and not at home enough) toyed around with stepping out during one period a dozen years ago.  Whatever.  Glenn, thanks for making the real issues known to us who don’t have time to get inside and drag them out.

Taking these accusations seriously is reason enough NOT to do your show, Beck. You know this guy is the real deal. You know he was a tea party guy, a businessman who isn’t a politician. The kind of thing you encouraged us to do… get involved and run for office. I don’t know what your agenda is, I’ve considered you may be a Perry supporter, but you definately have one now. You know what the media does to guys like Cain who challenge the status quo and instead of talking about that, you are actually taking this garbage seriously. I don’t watch your show anymore. i own almost all your books and I’m disgusted with you.

    Glenn,
Can we count on you to do your homework? Help get the facts out! Out of his 40 year impeccable work history, he only worked for the National Restuarant Assoc. for 3 years. The ONLY place where theses allegations have supposedly taken place. Isn’t it funny that all these accussers are out of Chicago, The “Daley Machine”, and in one way or another connected to David Axlerod?  CAIN HAS NEVER WORKED IN CHICAGO! Come on Glenn …get your top investigators on this…..we are counting on you!

If Cain gets the GOP nomination and goes against OBAMA, he will get at least 1/2 of the black vote that OBama counts on! So Cain is a huge threat! I can see where the left will do WHATEVER IT TAKES TO DESTROY CAIN.
As a black American, I believe Cain can bring the Civil Rights movement back to its dignified status. Obama took us back 50 years. In my opinion, there are more educated, productive contributing decent blacks in this country than 50 years ago….it will be a hands down for Cain amongst most blacks.

  • djschaefer8

My thoughts are, that Herman Cain is the only one that can beat Obama and they are very afraid of that and they are out to destroy him.  Exactly right, why all the allegations now?

  • Anonymous

Well, so far, I believe Herman Cain. Most of this media stuff is so nebulous….no one speaking the truth. Of ALL the candidates I’ve observed so far, Mr. Cain SEEMS to have the best character of all of them. He SEEMS honest and forthright. I refuse to vote for either Mr. Romney or Mr. Obama. I truly believe that the establishment GOP has more to do with this smearing than the Dems. Just my opinion….

I think this Cain business is a scam….by the Democrats. I was in a male dominated work place for 37 years there are just women out there that want to cause trouble, look at the past history of these women…always suing or filing complaints ….anything for a buck!

  • http://twitter.com/mya177 Lisa

I like Cain but character DOES matter.  As a woman, I like to be flirted with but not to the point of ever crossing the line.  I know his wife is a liberal and do we want another lib in the White House? This is a mess. If he is guilty of any of these accusations I shudder to imagine what else he could so easily and convincingly get away with. He’s slick. AND he is and was part of the FED, which is one big problem..How we are so easily swayed…WOW! I’ve answered my questions and I’m not for Cain. The distractions have to end.

I fear for my country now….there is nothing worse that having a “non-patriotic” POTUS.  We see how that has worked for us…next?

First of all, I really like Hermon Cain as a person.  And it really saddens me that he’s besieged with all this inuindo about stuff that happened 14 years ago.  Character does matter.  But so does journalistic ethics.  The media should never even have mentioned the original acusations that were anonomous.  That was way below the belt, and Hermon found himself shadowboxing.  Now there are two acusers, and both are very litigous people.  So they’re not very credible.  Public opinion often goes by the old adage that “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”  But “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”  If we’re going to condemn Hermon because of the numbers of his accusers, then we also must consider the past of those accusers.  And the only two that have surfaced have very questionable “troubled” pasts.

Nevertheless Hermon has to respond.  I think he did very well the other day when he gave that press release with his lawyer, Mr. Wood.  I was extremely impressed with what both men had to say about the matter.  But Hermon did screw up by blaming the democrats without proof.  He’s going to have to stop doing that.

One thing I’ve been curious about that might shed some light on the subject: Now that the first woman is coming out of the shadows, what is her height relative to Hermon’s height?  Is she indeed as short as his wife?  Knowing that would tend to verify Hermon’s word or not.

But all of the above aside, I’m much more interested in whether or not Hermon’s 999 plan really has any credibility.  That’s what I’m judging his candadicy on, not some nebulous sex scandal.

Glenn, you may have just answered your own question in the next to the last paragraph above.  How does the saying go – “If it smells like a rat, it probably is a rat.”  I have felt the very same way about this NOT making any sense.  So I’m taking the stand that “If it doesn’t make sense, then there probably is not true”.  I don’t think we will ever know for sure, but the backgrounds coming out on these “ladies” seem to be very questionable.  I also question why all this is just coming out now!  Smells like a rat to me!

  • http://twitter.com/Bobbie227 Bobbie

Although I believe foreign policy is important, I also believe that Cain would have no problem with it.  Look at the current foreign policy “leader”!  TERRIBLE.  Cain firmly stated that we would stand with Israel and if we do that, then we will be just fine.  There are plenty of very good foreign policy experts that Cain could rely on.  He is a very smart man.

We all know the left plays dirty in elections…look what Obama and Axelrod did to others on Obama’s rise to the top.  Coulter has a great piece on it.  Beck is right…is this their handi-work?  Maybe one, two at the most…but five?  Not even the left is that good.  No…the first two did happen.  Were they paid off because Cain was innocent and they just wanted them to go away?  Back in 1998…I’m not so sure…now…yes, we are much more politically correct.  I differ from Glenn in that I think the truth will come oozing out…one way or another.

    Glenn:

The bible says in Matt: 18:16 “that in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses every word may be established.” If the people who are making allegations against Mr. Cain had confronted him personally and he would not hear them, then their recourse was to take with them 2 or more witnesses to the crimes. If people are accusing a man of something that cannot be proved and is a single person’s word, it bears looking into further. Who are the people making the allegations? What are their proofs? Merely their word alone? All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God however, running for President requires a very squeeky clean record. David sinned greatly and yet God allowed him to lead Israel. There are many factors to consider, mostly we should pray that God will allow a leader to be in office who practices righteousness then wait for His will to be done.

    Keep up the good work.

    YSIC,

Cain.  Who came to Israel to be with you and us.  Cain, who else?

these allegations are so hard to prove, just like they have said its a HE SAID SHE SAID, trust me I have been in the military for 20 years I know what sexual perception is…….thats all it is perception!!!!!  the other side you got to look at, what did the woman do to get Cain to so call harass them?

the time that this was all suppose to have taken place it was the beginning of this STUPID CRAP they call sexual harassment started…….I know I was in the military and Glen you would not believe all the women that cam forward and said that they were harassed because guys would say “you look nice today” or “you look like you have lost some weight” these guys would get turned in for sexual harassment..please help him get off of this ride.   GET BACK TO THE REAL ISSUES….DON’T BE JUDGING SOMEONE YOU DON’T KNOW DO WHAT JESUS WOULD DO GLEN  DON’T BE THROWING STONES AT SOMEONE WHEN YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LOOK AT YOUR OWN SINS

Glenn, In my humble opinion, a man who builds a strong track record of high integrity for 40+ years across many different companies does not go to a couple of visits in Chicago a few years ago and become a sexual predator, then go back to complete high integrity, once the hands of Axelrod & Daly machine are away from him. He even offered to take a lie detector test especially if all others would but better yet, we already have the results of a lie detector test with over 95% accuracy as reported by CBS Atlanta that Herman Cain is innocent but the accuser is LYING–> Have you read this yet?http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/16002149/investigator-herman-cain-innocent-of-sexual-advances?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#.TrsahLmVeBR.facebook

Certainly lines up with “Axelrod and Daley have a history of smearing political opponents by digging up claims of sexual misconduct against them.

John Brooks, Chicago’s former fire commissioner, filed a lawsuit against Daley six months ago claiming Daley threatened to smear him with sexual harassment accusations if Brooks didn’t resign. He resigned — and the sexual harassment allegations were later found to be completely false.

Meanwhile, as extensively detailed in my book “Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ and Their Assault on America,” the only reason Obama became a U.S. senator — allowing him to run for president — is that David Axelrod pulled sealed divorce records out of a hat, first, against Obama’s Democratic primary opponent, and then against Obama’s Republican opponent.

One month before the 2004 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, Obama was way down in the polls, about to lose to Blair Hull, a multimillionaire securities trader.

But then The Chicago Tribune — where Axelrod used to work — began publishing claims that Hull’s second ex-wife, Brenda Sexton, had sought an order of protection against him during their 1998 divorce proceedings.

From then until Election Day, Hull was embroiled in fighting the allegation that he was a “wife beater.” He and his ex-wife eventually agreed to release their sealed divorce records. His first ex-wife, daughters and nanny defended him at a press conference, swearing he was never violent. During a Democratic debate, Hull was forced to explain that his wife kicked him and he had merely kicked her back.

Hull’s substantial lead just a month before the primary collapsed with the nonstop media attention to his divorce records. Obama sailed to the front of the pack and won the primary. Hull finished third with 10 percent of the vote.

Luckily for Axelrod, Obama’s opponent in the general election had also been divorced.

The Republican nominee was Jack Ryan, a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard law and business schools, who had left his lucrative partnership at Goldman Sachs to teach at an inner-city school on the South Side of Chicago.

But in a child custody dispute some years earlier, Ryan’s ex-wife, Hollywood sex kitten Jeri Lynn Ryan, had alleged that, while the couple was married, Jack had taken her to swingers clubs in Paris and New York.

Jack Ryan adamantly denied the allegations. In the interest of protecting their son, he also requested that the records be put permanently under seal.

Axelrod’s courthouse moles obtained the “sealed” records and, in no time, they were in the hands of every political operative in Chicago. Knowing perfectly well what was in the records, Chicago Tribune attorneys flew to California and requested that the court officially “unseal” them — over the objections of both Jack and Jeri Ryan.

Your honor, who knows what could be in these records!

A California judge ordered them unsealed, which allowed newspapers to publish the salacious allegations, and four days later, Ryan dropped out of the race under pressure from idiot Republicans (who should be tracked down and shot).
    ”
    http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2011-11-09.html
I also think we all have to be more careful with those infiltrating the TEA party (i.e. a woman in Chicago who was seen in bikinis with the husband of a missing wife while she was “officially investigating” him for CBS, got fired, then become an “organizer” for conservatives should be considered highly suspect in my humble opinion).

    humbly,
    Anthony

All this media attack suddenly over a strong black conservative and extemely popular Cain, makes me just want to send him more money.  I am so tired of the so called elite telling me what I should believe, how I should think, which health care I should be forced to use, how much of my money is fair to take away from me, how we should NOT homeschool, tell us the American flag can offend someone, etc….  I will take a Herman Cain, anyday!  I will continue to cling to my gun and bible (even though I don’t own a gun, I sure want to keep that right).

regarding woman #3 – after Cain supposedly puts his hand up her skirt and pulls her head down to his lap- her first reaction is to say “You know I have a boyfriend”!  That is not a normal reaction!  What difference does that make?  I would be screaming and shouting and pushing to get out of that car.  I think she is making it up.  I’m not sure if he is guilty of the others but hers is not a normal reaction.

Isn’t it funny that Cain’s accusers all claimed he sexually harassed them  14 years ago?   Did Cain decide to molest these women all in ONE year?  Why not 2 yrs. ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 12 yrs. ago etc? After all, if he was in the habit of doing this, wouldn’t he have been doing this throughout his career? This is exactly what it is, the character assasination of a decent guy, for political gain. This is the evil, sordid side of politics rearing its ugly head and it should be stopped! The American people should call a halt to this evil. Where will it stop? I for one am on Mr. Cain’s side. I believe he is innocent until proven guilty, which they have failed to do so far!

A few things that I find to be curious about this whole story:

First, Mr Cain has held many leadership positions, in several different types of bussiness, over many years.  Yet all of these allegations come from a few women during his short stint (3 years, i believe) at the National Restaurant Association.  So I am being asked to believe that this guy was a dirtbag sexual predator during his time at the NRA, but not at any other time during his career?  Sounds fishy to me.

Second, I watched the original press conference with Gloria Allred and her client (Sharon Bialek) earlier this week.  Ms Bialek responded to one question with “If Mr Cain doesn’t come clean on this, there will be more women who come forward….. I mean there might be more women out there.”  To me this sounded like a suspicious slip of the tongue.  I have not heard anyone else on TV or radio who seems to have noticed this, but it sounded to me like this was all part of a bigger plot.

The left and the press have the same attacks all the time. If you are a black conservative than you will be attacked for sexual harrassment. A conservative woman, they are all stupid and a white male is a racist. When will the public ever wise up, this is their game plan over and over. Did anyone else notice Gloria Alred dragging Ms. Bialek around by the hand, as if she were not capable of navigating by herself?  I do think that vile female lawyer is keeping a close watch on Bialek to make certain she stays on script.  Bialek does not appear to be I.Q. blessed, based on her other legal entanglements.  Same thing for The other blonde with the male lawyer.  I see a pattern, and it appears to be very well rehearsed.  Also strange that both these women, and likely the others, have personal patterns of filing complaints against males.  Males are such easy targets, just being and acting like guys.

Only Herman Cain can beat Obama if the election isn’t rampant with fraudulent voters. Herman Cain can disposed of the racial issue the Dems will use, Whoopi Goldberg has said it and so have others. Mitt Romney is the media’s choice as was John McCain, Obama can handily beat any rich, white, establishment candidate!! That’s why they push Romney, Huntsman and Perry they are rich, white and establishment while the media will promote, Obama as coming from the poor, he’s black and anti-establishment even though he, Obama is none of these.

On the Herman Cain issue…any person who looks up and away while talking is a BIG FAT LIAR!  If you watch that Gloria Alred led bimbo who is smaering Herman Cain with her slanderous story you can tell she is lying. That is called a tell, when you look up and away your a liar making things up as you go.  I believe she was hired by the Obama camp and here is why.  Obama couldn’t win in a fair election and he couldn’t use his race card if Herman Cain was his opponet.  The progressives want us to think that Romney is the man they are afraid of but it is truly Herman Cain a Christian Conservitive that scares them.

Glenn, Do not be fooled by the Gloria Allreds of this world. The inconsistencies in this story are huge. To start with the worst charge, try sitting next to someone, run your hand up her thigh and pull her head down toward your crotch at the same time. Can’t be done! And if she told him no and he stopped, which she acknowledges, he would never have gotten past the hand on her thigh. Just the language was ludicrously inflammable – he put his hand on my leg and moved it toward my genitals! No woman would say that without being scripted. She never dares to say he touched or grabbed her genitals or even got near – she said he stopped as soon as she asked! As to whether it happened at all – no way for him to defend that- no hotel records, credit card records, etc. Also, most executives in DC don’t even have a car, they have a driver or take a cab. And why would he take her to the closed offices rather than to the hotel room that he allegedly upgraded for her. He could simply ask to see if the room was as nice as she said! In addition, if it did actually happen, he would have found her a job to apologize and protect himself. As to the other two women, there is absolutely no indication that he ever touched either of them. It is a great scam to claim harassment, and neither of them were able to keep their jobs. They were paid severance and the organization was happily rid of them! And that waS after Cain was gone, so they couldn’t say that they were uncomfortable staying in their jobs because he was still around. The one who has now come public went to another job and tried something similar! As for Bialek, she not only lived in the same building as Axelrod, he was the attorney on at least one of the many financial claims against her. Smell a rat!? Why is there no one from Pillsbury, Burger King, Coca Cola, or Godfather – businesses with a disproportionate number of women employees? One doesn’t suddenly start this kind of behavior, then stop (Clinton is proof of that)! I don’t know whether Cain can recover, but as a woman I can tell you that I believe this is a hatchet job! please don’t give up on him – keep digging and thinking about the logic of the accusations!

Just remember in America we are innocent UNTIL PROVED guilty.  I just think it’s all part of the “political process” … in other words – ALL of your opponents will try to unearth something and if they can’t they will make it up in the election season.  It’s unfortunate.  Do I believe these allegations?  I haven’t seen anything yet to PROVE him guilty so for now, I’m not even listening.  To me – Herman is just “raisin’ cain” so they gotta find a way to silence him.   I can’t imagine anything better than for America to elect another  no name, black President that can actually do the job

You don’t even need to know facts to see the clear picture of evil;  whoever may be behind these ugly attacks is evil and functions in that M.O.  One knows one is doing the right thing when someone hits hard with evil of any sort.  To understand how this works, if it isn’t self evident, read the Scriptures, it’s all there.Think of the Bible as the search engine; G-d has covered all His bases many times over.  In the end there will be no excuses.  I pray that Herman Cain will, if he hasn’t already, put himself totally in G-ds’ hands with faith and trust; Psalm 91.

I just read some information I thought was interesting. All the acusers are from the Chicago area. One lived in the same apartments as Axelrod (Obama’s guy). The article also said the the acusations all came from his three years as head of the National Resturant Association. There has been nothing from any of his other positions at other companies.

Glenn, can you check out these comments. Is there any truth to what I just read.

I do not trust the politicos, I do not trust anything about this current administration. I feel they will do anything they can to stay in power and I mean anything. You are right as to we will probably never know the truth, the real truth, only God knows and if it is his will, the truth will come out, if it is in his plan. I like Herman Cain, but I don’t know if he is worth the risk for what’s at stake for this election.  We’ll have to see.   Where were all the women accusing Mitt Romney when he was in first place?  Or Perry when he was on top?  Or Ron Paul?  I was a pretty young thing once and know that men in power (especially) can be big time flirts and maybe more.  I will keep an open mind, but my gut tells me there could be something to these accusations.

Glenn, I would love to see you interview Mr. Cain.  I also agree with you that you should interview the women and Mr. Cains wife.  I agree with you too that I am glad she is not standing there like Hillary and others because my first thought of them was “Are you stupid or what?!”.  I really like Herman Cain and I

To me, Herman Cain has always come across as “Arrogant” . The harrassment accusations did not come as a suprise to me,but so many already? This is just the begining ! There will soon be alleged affairs, then a “mistress”, which will lend credibility to the harrassment charges. Money is always involved so it will take sometime for an offer to surface for someone with proof ( mistress) to come forward. Then Sh..t will hit the fan!   Just a prediction from an observer.

Amazing how Glenn can even think of judging a guy based on what might have happened 14-15 years ago…  regardless that these women are out to get rich & famous, Glenn was also down in the dumps with alcohol—in the distant past.

Tell me Cain has done this recently, and continues to do it, AND there is proof of it, then I might to start to pay attention to it.

    What a crock!!

Glenn get off your Holier than Thou Pedestal and give Cain some slack.

Character is one of the most important things that do matter for the most powerful man in the world.  I pray for truth to prevail before the primaries, so that we will know for sure.  I have many questions just like everyone else about these allegations, mainly why are they coming out now, after so many years? Somebody is behind it….the Obama camp maybe? I would prefer Newt Gingrich anyway, he’s the most capable of all the candidates, and isn’t using a smear campaign to win.  I admire that.

If I remember correctly Obama had little to no experience before he entered the White House. A community organizer just dowesn’t get it. Actually I don’t think he’ll debate anyone. He needs a teleprompter to speek. Aynone could through a curve ball at him and he’d be lost. If Obama thinks he can beat Cain in the general election, why is are his operatives trying to destroy him. It’s was on the internet yesturday that Rom Imanuel was been hind the scandal. If your not afraid of someone you don’t need to destroy them. Obama wants Romney, because he is a closet liberal. Obama can beat a liberal republican. The people don’t want a white version of Obama, but the establishment RINOs do.

Why should herman get any slack, he is running for the presidency, not your local city council.  His character does matter, funny there is not any of this stuff about the other candidates, could it be because they are clean, Cain is dirty.

They are both from the same state, they cannot be on a ticket together.  I am going by Cains answers and thet just don’ have substance, it is alway 999, or we got to get the country working and when asked if 999 could go 12 12 12, he says no, the people won’t let it, excuse me, the public didn’t want obamacare, we got it, taxes can be raised anytime, what he says is just hype.

In journalism 101, I was taught to ask “who, what, when and WHERE!”  You want me to believe that HC pulled a woman’s head toward his crotch in a public restaurant?  Sure, in every restaurant in DC, happens all the time.  This is an obscene tale and proves that “they” want to pick our candidates on both sides, which they have done many times.  I wasn’t for HC necessarily, but I sent him a donation to help fight this insane assault not only on Herman Cain but on our entire system of government.

I read that it is not the same Axelrod, maybe there are other accusations coming, we have to wait and see.   I just don’t think Cain is presidential material, he really can’t answer the hard questions very well.  Romney is the one taking the heat on being asked questions, Cain was’t asked many question, one time Jim cramer asked cain a question about the falling stock mkt. cain anwers with his 999, he doesn’t have the answers.  The college kids at that University that the debate was held at didn’t give Cain hardly any votes, they voted 40% up from 25% before the debate, looks like the college kids like Romney.

If the media is just making things up, why aren’t they smearing the other contenders with the same kind of press, because there is something in Cains past.

I do indeed like Mr. Cain — he is refreshing to say the least — I can understand every word he is saying and I understand what he means. BUT  I will have no comment on the recent reprisals against him until he can cleanly exonorate himself from these Clintonesqe accusations. Mr. Clinton was guilty as sin but the people chose to forgive him.  Mr. Cain is innocent until proven guilty. All very interesting to say the least,. but I still like the guy.

  • Anonymous

It is telling that even Glenn can’t ignore the obvious inconsistencies in Cain’s story and the conveniently bad recollections he claims to have about what was alleged by his accusers to have occurred. Cain came charging out of the gates claiming that he was a straight shooter with the courage to be honest even when it is not going to win him any political points.  In this situation however he suddenly clammed up and had little to say. His flat denials would be satisfactory if they were in fact just flat denials, but they are not. He took his comments a step further and claimed near complete ignorance of anything and everything having to do with all of it, yet he knows they were made and he knows that money was paid to “settle” the matter. Even assuming they are not true, and I have no reason to believe they are, he still ought to be able to recall some specifics about what his accuser aid occurred. There were lawyers involved and I assume both parties made statements at the time.

It seems pretty hard to believe that Cain’s memory of these events, whatever they were, are so fuzzy that he barely recalls the circumstances alleged in the first place whether or not they have any merit. It doesn’t make sense that he would not even remember what the specifics of the allegations were even if they were entirely fabricated.

Timing is everything!  Before this time, there was no smoke, there was no fire.  Period.  I think it’s just an attack on a conservative black man.  Why, because they fear a conservative black man almost as much as they do a conservative woman!

It’s the same strategy that has been used in the past, to
subject a person to innuendos and accusations and create doubt in the
public.  It is has been used to rid a person of their job and also in
campaigns to prevent them from getting jobs.  However, when the Democrat
side finds themselves with a liar, a thief or a womanizer, for some reason the
person keeps his job, gets elected and may even get a seat on the
cabinet!  Do I see double standard here?  They use our own values
against us.  Do I think Herman Cain did that stuff, NO.  If for no
other reason than the pattern of behavior from the Democrats is showing up
again.  The only time they get upset and want someone to suffer for what
they might have done is when it will benefit them.  But even with all that,
I have heard the heart of Herman Cain in all of his speeches and I just don’t
see a pattern of him being that kind of person.   Also, she wants him to prove he didn’t…why
doesn’t she prove he did, IF she’s right?

    Glen
The good thing about this is that you do not have to decide Cain’s guilt or innocence.  Time will tell.  Now, this man, Mr. Cain, has horrible diction and abominable speech patterns.  Yes, he’s been blessed with degrees.  So what!  Yes, he’s had numerous, responsible jobs with the military and the business world.  So what!  Do you recall affirmative action?  It’s still happening out here in the real world.  These Republican debates are a good thing because it gives all of us a quick look at our choices.  Personally I will not vote for Mr. Herman Cain.  No one becomes a part of the Federal Reserve without “paying a piper”.  I do think Romney is a fair choice.  He’s bright, articulate, and possibly teachable.  Gingrich unfortunately is a part of our current problem.  I love Ron Paul.  He tells it like it should be told and for sure, no one will manipulate him.

And what exactly has Obama had for experience?  A community organizer that has never worked in his life, never employed anyone, never ran a business, probably never balanced a checkbook.  Is not even an American citizen?  I would much rather have a Herman Cain as president than Obama.  Lest you forget, Obama has no foreign experience and is mucking things up in the middle east.

I think that what is prudent in not knowing the truth is to hold the line, the battle line. STAND FIRM because as conservative’s, we do know that the left is used to hitting (smearing) and running, knowing the damage is already done, true or not.  Without knowing the truth then, we stand firm, not allowing this to work yet again.

  • Anonymous

Conservatives must stand firm, hold the line in this battle.  Since we cannot, at this point, know the truth we must stand firm together so that this ‘tactic’ of the left that has been used so convincingly on the right will stop being successful.  They hit with smears, run and the damage is done even if it is not true or distorted.  It always works!  This time let’s send the message that it will not work.

Although the allegations, so far, seem shady and I don’t really trust them.  I also don’t trust Herman Cain.  He called anyone who wants to audit the Fed, “ignorant”.  I’ve seen the video twice.  Then, when interviewed, he lied and said that he didn’t say it.  Recently he has said that, when he was with the Fed, they didn’t try to control unemployment and interest rates and stuff because the debt wasn’t as high as it is now.  Although they may not have manipulated things quite as much then as now, the whole purpose of the Fed is to manipulate the economy and interest rates and things.  It seems that everytime Cain speaks about the Fed, he is lying.  I can’t figure out why Glen seems to support him so much.

The only women to give there names come from Chicago.  As Ann Coulter pointed out Cain never worked in Chicago.   As for the sealed files everyone should know that most large corporations will buy off someone without the charges being heard just to keep the corporation safe and seal the records probably at the request of the accuser.  So unless the files are opened the public will never know the truth.
To me, if the ladies are willing to stir up this trouble they should be prepared to come out publicly with their names.  Since they do not I have a hard time believing they are telling the truth or are even the people that were involved.  Sounds too political to me to be believable.  Nothing was said until Cain started really raising enough money to be a threat to Obama.  Is someone running scarred?

cain and romney are together and there is no difference between the two.  cain supported romney in 2008 and even donated to his campaign.  he has already told media he would endorse romney and be his vp.

glad to see 999 may be wearing off on beck, as he not appear to be as cain crazy.

cain is not even running a campaign, so he is not in it to win.  he is not out there hitting the pavement in iowa or new hampshire like the rest of the candidates.  he has 3 staff in each of those 2 states and made very few visits to it, and i don’t think any visits recently.  no campaign infrastructure with strategy, advisors, etc…  only ad i am aware of is one where his manager smokes and is shot unprofessionally (if perry did that, he would be done but there is nothing cain could do to lose support and it does not appear to be right when you do not judge people equally.)

he did not predict the 2008 financial meltdown, supports big banks via bailouts, was on tape during an interview being adamantly against a fed audit, supports greenspan whose policies caused the housing bubble, knows nothing about foreign policy to date (that alone should scare people as to what he would do as commander-in-chief or the reputation of the us when he can’t speak intelligently in front of world leaders).  world leaders don’t care for charisma, they care for solutions/leadership/intelligence/knowledge, not to mention fed chair of kansas so he is an insider to washington.

regardless, cain is with romney entirely and supports him 100%.  so get used to romney as cain will somehow send you directly to romney when he an no longer answer every question with 999 or i never sexually abused anyone bogus line.

a year’s severance package is extremely good and rare – clearly something went down b/w cain and his accusers.  don’t need to be an attorney, but 2 wks to 4 wks max is what you get for a bogus claim at best and most companies will not even address bogus claims, so 1 year is out there meaning cain definately had something to hide.  yes, he has a lot of dirt in his closet and that may not be revealed until next summer or after next november.  when you have been fed chair of kansas, of course that automatically means you have a lot of skeletons in your closet just as bernanke does..

romney is not reliable and will not perform well in debates against obama.  he is like kerry was in 2004 campaign – a flake that is just not acceptable.  media has been very protective of romney and when liberal media starts vetting him next summer, he will crash pretty quickly next to obama.  flip flops are indicative of lack of character and integrity and he has had so many of them that i’ve lost count and he lies on the debate stage indicating he is spineless.  romney is a purely acting.  he shapeshifted from being more liberal than clinton was during office to pretend to be a conservative even on things like global warming.  he touts free markets now including in healthcare, but he failed to implement any free market healthcare reforms in ma, but did the flip opposite.

having said that, is there a candidate that can beat obama?  unfortunately, not at this point.  it is a very weak field.  i like much of what newt has to say, but his voting record indicates he voted for things like bailouts and he voted for wars but now gives great anti-war speeches that are inspirational.  so it seems he has great ideas, but does he have the political will?  certainly, he is way more consistent and intelligent than romney.   just speaking about the federal reserve is a big taboo, so newt deserves credit for talking about things that are uncomfortable in the media.

  • Anonymous

a president should not have to rely so heavily on experts to make decisions or to have experts make decisions for him and he just repeats it, acting like a puppet.  it reflects on intelligence when you rely so heavily on experts.  romney relies heavily on experts as well.  is this a president or prom king that you are voting for?

in evaluating candidates, you should gauge what fresh ideas they have on their own versus how heavily bound they are to advisors that think for them and all the candidate does is deliver the message in a way to strike the emotions of voters – essentially a salesman.

to be an effective president, you need to be more than just a salesman.  you have to have your own ofrsight versus relying entirely or heavily on experts to rely on.  so if you see relying on experts as a good thing for cain, then why not just have eexperts come out and tell you what cain will do or think in terms of foreign policy.

  • Anonymous

I SO AGREE, changing the economy, would be good, his 9-9-9- might work, sounds complicated though.. but if we don’t have someone with foreign policy experience, we could be worse off, with Iran and it’s attacks and foreign distruction, because they are allowed to continue, without  experience, they would do just like obama, do nothing, because he doesn’t know how to do anything but ignore them..while our security is getting worse every day..

I still rather like Newt Gingrich.  Character does matter, however villification does not seem to be on an equal opportunity level.  It’s like the law these days, some get a pass others don’t, some don’t have to follow the rules and some do…  My gut tells me that he is innocent of charges and that any harrassment perceived was not sexual intention.  There are no facts at this point. period.  And we still have plenty of time for the apples to fall.  But at this point….ANYONE would be better than current POTUS.

    To quote Sowell:

What role does race play in all this?

It is probably not racism, as such, that motivates these attacks on Herman Cain. The motivation is far more likely to be politics, but politics makes a prominent black conservative such as Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain far more dangerous to the Democrats than an equally prominent white conservative.

The 90 percent black vote for Democrats is like money in the bank on Election Day. A prominent black conservative who offers an alternative view of the world is a serious danger politically, because if that alternative view has the net effect of reducing the black vote for Democrats just to 75 percent, the Democrats are in big trouble at election time.

In this political context, merely defeating a black conservative at the polls or at confirmation hearings is not enough. He must be destroyed as an influence in the future — and character assassination is the most obvious way to do it.

Glenn, I have watched you from day one and you are wonderful and I love you, and anything you say is true and has become true,  but, I am a little bit upset with you right now, the reason why is, the way you are doing Herman Cain, you of all people should know about Obama’s people such as Axelrod and Rahmn Emaneul, this is mob stuff they do to our candidates.  Why in the world would these women come out now after all these years?  I’ve got the answer,,,money paid by Obama’s smear machine.  One of them lived in the same apartment as Axelrod and used him as her lawyer 2 years ago in one of her many lawsuits.  These lies were thrown out there to make us conservatives wonder and put a little doubt into his character, you have been preaching this for years,  I’m really shock about your thoughts right now.  Please think this through.

Glenn–I agree with you that character matters.  As far as these alleged sexual harassments by Cain, I don’t believe them. I had an open mind when they first came out, but it’s obvious this is a political hit-job with no basis.  It’s also questionable that these alleged ‘harassments’ occured while he worked for NRA only & that all the complaints come from Chicago sources–a place he never worked.  Per Ann Coulter’s latest piece, she explains a pattern of character defamation by the Axelrod & Daley Chicago-machines during past Chicago elections.  Obama’s Chicago elections were gained after character defamations of his opponents.  Coincidence? Cain’s accuser, Bialek, lived in the same buiding as Axelrod.  Coincidence?

Mr. Beck, Mr. Cain does not owe it to you to come on our show. After I listened your interview with that Chicago reporter I was thoroughly disgusted. I also could not believe you would ask someone, who obviously had her own ,non resolved trauma, if she thought he was guilty. I was there in Washington when Dr. A. King stood by you, when so many of the black race condemned her, and she stood by you. You did not even give Mr. Cain the courtesy of talking to him privately. YOU TOO wanted to display him.Well thank God for Alveda, who again, had the COURAGE to stand beside a friend. I am very upset with you and did not expect this type of behavior. We are carefully thinking of canceling GBTV. I hope you really start thinking about what you are doing with Mr. Cain.

Mr.Beck,Mr. Cain does not owe you to come on our tv or radio show. I was very disgusted with the interview you held with that Chicago reporter and how you then asked her if she felt that Mr. Cain was guilty. You must have realized, while interviewing her, she had her own unresolved traumatic event and her judgemennt would be tainted. We were there in Washington DC with you,and saw how courageous Dr. A. King was to stand by you when so many of her black people were angry with her. Now, Thank God, she is standing by Mr. Cain. She displayed true faith and courage in you and now with Mr. Cain. You did not even give r. Cain the courtesy of talking to him in private, no, instead, want to display him. I agree with you, Glenn.  I heard Mr. Cain’s press conference and there are still inconsistencies in some of the things he was saying and I could never support someone who was guilty of harrassment. I am, however, a HUGE Mitt Romney fan.  I do not find him inconsistent–but I do think he is “wily” politically and that may explain some of his statements.  For example, if you are running in Massachusetts where  the population could not support someone who is “pro-life,” and your position is that you are opposed to abortion except in the case of rape, incest, or the life of the mother (Ronald Reagan’s position might I add) and as the pro-life movement defines this as pro-choice, then you might honestly say you were pro choice.  You might also say you were pro-life personally and would not do anything to stop abortions in your state, such as Romney did say, but as governor you could see that abortions were not funded by the state. Is this dishonest or just politically astute?  I don’t know.
I do know that I met Mitt Romney once as a student at BYU along with a group of Young Republicans.  I didn’t think much about him at the time but I found him to be warm and engaging.  We had come to meet his father who was going to speak to the BYU student body.  On the other hand, I do know several people who know him well.  He is neither robitic, detached, nor wooden.  I know that once he shut down his entire company for several days so that everyone could search for the child of a member of the company who had turned up missing.  Mitt personally joined in the search.  Detached–not approachable–not interested in little people?  Far from it.  You might also want to check out his story on MSNBC. It tells of Mitt’s work as an LDS missionary in 1968:  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45206541/ns/politics-decision_2012/#.Trz8tPRTaU8.
    Thanks so much.

If Herman Cain has been on the show many times, Glenn must have formed some opinion of him. What reason did Mr. Cain give for not coming on the program? An individual does not behave in one way for most of his/her life, then suddenly become a different person. Herman Cain is an experienced politician nor is he a fearful person. Herman Cain is a fast learner. Taken by surprise, he -momentarily- appeared like a deer caught in headlights- by design. However, being smart, he regained his politically footing and realized tormentors’ goal. It is not strange that accusers all have tawdry records; live near or in close proximity to Obama’s chief protector, David Axelrod. It seems LADIES of the evening have had a change of heart about JOINT press conference – did unfolding revelations have anything to do with  change? For fair minded Americans, appearance of Gloria Allred removed all doubt re: SET UP. Political operatives are willing to slink away satisfied intended damage has been done. Experienced dirty politics’ operatives believe once seed of doubt has been planted and media whips into frenzy for a few days target will go into hiding. Americans are wake, unwilling to be duped by ELITE talking heads, opinion shapers/kingmakers. It has happened once too often. Keep the faith and the conversation going.

We really like Cain, but like you, we need to know for sure that he’s the real deal and not a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The way he has handled himself since this all surfaced is great. He seems undaunted by it and it would seem that if he actually did this, he wouldn’t be so sure of himself…The jury is still out on voting for him…Good luck Glenn with all you do. Thanks for everything…

I must admit that I do not understand the “cult like” following that Cain has….

First of all he doesn’t appear to be “presidential material.”  He is not someone that I would like to represent me.  He doesn’t appear to be very intelligent, all he does is repeat “slogans.”  He has a format that he uses to answer questions and rarely deviates from it. He is a worse public speaker than Perry with his “halting speech” and inability to make himself clear.   I think that he is a slick fraud and has fooled the same people that obama easily fooled.  Sorry if Cain supporters want to take that as an insult…that is the way I see it.

Do I think that he has good character…NO!.    He can’t find a job as CEO, even with his long list of positions as CEOs on  his resume.  There is something wrong with that picture.  But, I believe that we just found out one of the reasons why!   All these really bad, lying, blonde women keep picking on him!
For some reason, these blondes just want to lie and falsely accuse “Cain the “innocent” of bad deeds.

If anyone believes Cain is innocent, I have a lake front property in Arizona for sale.  I believe that Cain is guilty and that he cannot find a position as CEO because companies see him as a liability (because of his numerous sexual harassment charges and no telling what else.)  Companies are funny that way….they don’t want problem people!

As far as the lie detector test results, the Court doesn’t admit the results for a reason..the tests are unreliable.  Pathological liars have no trouble fooling these tests.  Many people can do it.  Cain knew this and probably has had lie detector tests before.

And, I wish that Cain would, “Lose the hat.”

  • Anonymous

Everything you said about obama, is all the more reason NOT to go for Cain.  We do not need to have another inexperienced president.

Obviously, Cain is not respected by the business community as he cannot get a job as CEO with any of them….  We should take a “hint” from what his passed employers and associates think of him.

  • Anonymous

Thank you for posting this, I too like Mitt Romney a lot, I have read how generous Mitt is, he gave 1 million dollars to the Olympic games and as CEO for 3 years he gave all of the money he received to Charity (1.4 million).  When he was CEO of Bain capital, Romney was viewed as a very fair manager and received intense loyalty from the firms members.

I also don’t understand the cult following of Cain, he really isn’t asked many questions in the debates, they go after Romney, Cains answers do not contain any sustance, it is alway 999 or he makes a joke.  He said in answer to what he would do about healthcare, he said we already have a bill which “princess Nancy” didn’t bring to the table, I believe he said it was HR bill 3000, I cannot find anything on it, Cain didn’t explain anythng, do any of you cain posters know anything about this bill?  He leaves everything up in the air.

Well the story that Axelrod, with Obama, lived in the same building is false, not the same Axelrod.  Ann Coulter has been going off the deep end lately, she is saying things that aren’t true, her saying that our blacks are better than their blacks is very childish, her credibility has dropped.

The Axelrod that lived in the same building as Sharon B. is an atty., he is not the same guy as the man that worked for Obama, Coulter ought to get her facts straight, she is spreading lies.

Attention (fame) and money are extremely powerful motivators.  What is clear to me is that whenever you need money: AKA as in the multiple bankruptcies and unemployment claims of one of the “victims” who has come out of the woodwork (but only after 15 years!), a conveniently placed charge or lawsuit against someone who has a certain level of fame AND money would be an easy way to get a whole lot of both.  Unfortunately, nowadays in our media-crazed society, anyone who wants their 15 minutes of fame can also get heaps of money from the book, interview, and movie rights…even if the whole thing was invented entirely.  There are also many unscrupulous “bottom feeder” lawyers, who would take any case that would not only make a conservative look bad (even if the whole thing was invented and they know it), in order to get a whole lot of both of that same fame and money.  I think Cain is a victim of racism here.  These are all white women, are they not?  Accusing a BLACK man with no proof, how stereotypical and racist of them!  This is not after all, Blazing Saddles!  Let’s turn the tables on the Liberals for once, and play their own overused and worn-out race card on them here!

  • Anonymous

At least we know beyond a shadow that Cain was born in America, but Obama- not so sure.  FYI-My parents live on the Big Island of Hawaii, where there are like, 3 black people who live there (I’m exaggerating of course, I don’t really know how many, but it’s a very sparsely populated, small place.  I’ve been all around the island about 10 times, and know and have seen a lot of people, and almost never do I encounter a black person).  In the 1950′s it was even more so, according to all my older Hawaiian friends who live there.  Believe me, any women who had a “black” designated as race child in the late 50′s or early 60′s, well that event would have definitely been remembered by someone who had seen her, delivered her baby, saw the mother with her baby, or knew her, etc.  Yet we hear of zero eyewitness accounts or remembrances of any baby boy who’s black born on the islands in that timeframe. This isn’t rocket science people.  Someone is lying.

Wait a second… How is Cain lacking in foreign policy experience any more than virtually every single other candidate running right now? McCain and Bush had quite a bit of foreign policy experience, and were more qualified than pretty much everyone else that was running against them. However, besides the fact that foreign policy isn’t the be-all end-all qualifier of a POTUS candidate, Cain has experience in the Navy and with large scale business, the banking system, and overall more experience dealing with the financial side of foreign policy than any of the other candidates.

That’s not to say that I think the others aren’t qualified candidates, but to say that Cain is less qualified based on the issue of foreign policy experience is a complete fallacy.

Don’t believe anything you hear and only half what you see.  If Cain is willing to take a lie detector test, these women should step up and take one to.  This is His offer to clear this up.  Where is the media with a “right on Cain”.  This would be the womens chance to prove their case.

As Glenn should know, it’s easy to go to the media with unsubstantiated facts and or not a shred of evidence and be able to destroy someone’s life.

So far, both of these women have lost any credibility when research was done on their pasts. I haven’t seen the first piece of evidence that these women have proven their case. If and when they do, my support for Cain will be history. Until some credible evidence comes up, I will support Cain.

Your efforts will no doubt go down in history! I am a Cain supporter, and like you find the timing of this “hit” campaign in line with liberal speak. It is almost as if the rise in the polls had to reach a “trigger point” and it did when he passed Romney. The very next day the hit piece comes out. My research tells me that this whole effort is politically driven, and at this time I am for Cain as the next President of the United States of America. Like you I would want to hear the truth, but I will be patient and wait for it to rise to the top, as it always does…

Did you listen to what Cain said “he said he would take a lie detctor test and then he said if he thought he needed to”  so that tells me he won’t. Cain talks out of the both sides of his mouth. You can’t get away from it, Cain is tainted, a lot of conservative women are dropping away from him, whether fair or not that is the way it is.  Seens strange that these harassment charges are only against Cain, none of the other candidateds, there wasn’t any of these kind of charges againist the others, think about it.

  • Anonymous

I agree that there is some confusion around these allegations and Cain’s response.  Isn’t it curious, though, that Herman Cain worked in so many positions where he had access to women, yet the women who filed complaints all worked at the NRA?  Why no allegations from anywhere else?  I share your feelings about wanting to vote for someone of good character, but what happens if all the GOP candidates have some character flaw or another?  Glenn, we need to vote for the man/woman who is best equipped to beat Obama and save the country/us from the Progressive machine.  Not so great men can do really great things.  I don’t suggest that we should just overlook terrible character flaws (let’s let the Dems do that!), but focus on which of the contenders can do the most good, and most of all, who can beat Obama.  We may have to settle on a candidate that is the best one available – not necessarily the best man eligible.

  • Anonymous

The problem is that there is something there with Cain, two women are on record, that hurts him.

  • Anonymous

Herman Cain’s numbers are going to go down.  Don’t fool yourself.  Mitt Romney, his numbers will stay the same.  The reason, Romney has the Independent/Moderate Republican vote.  Cain, has a grassroots support.  But, with the recent allegations it is not theoretically possible for him to win the general election if elected in the primaries — because of the allegations, and, because he is so ‘Conservative’.  Perry is done.  Newt is the so called ‘up-and-comer’.  But, Newt has too much baggage  – nuff said about him.

If you were wise you would consider voting for Paul.  But, as many of you say “I don’t like his foreign policy”.  Here is a good article just released today.  Also, the debate is tonight — covering foreign policy.  Remember our country is going broke and we can’t always be the worlds police force…

@jenreality:disqus Any president that does not rely on the advice of those in his administration is a fool!  No one is an expert on everything or can be the “all knowing/all seeing” one.  Does the CEO of a large corporation function as a “one man show” without turning to others to hear their opinions?  Are there not others who may have a greater expertise in a specific area?  We need a president who can think independently, but doesn’t feel that he knows everything better than everyone else.  Sometimes the smarter man is the one who asks the right questions – not the one who thinks he has all the answers and doesn’t need to ask questions.

Why do you want to support Cain, just to show the press, in the long run it comes down to who is the best qualified to be president.  I have listened to Cains answers and they just don’t have substance, his answers are either 999, a joke or the pat we need to get the economy turned around, I know that, but how do you do that Cain?

My wife and I have a theory.  The theory is this:  If the Republican establishment does not believe they can win the election, they will pick somebody they can “throw under the bus” and eliminate in favor of someone that they believe CAN win in 2016 or beyond.  It may be a moderate like Romney just like they did with a moderate named McCain in 2008.  What we need is a Reagan-like conservative who resonates with and communicates to the voters like he did but who speaks to 2011 issues like the economy, jobs and Iran.

So foreign policy experience is a critical need for a presidential candidate?  How much knowledge of foreign policy did Reagan or Clinton have as governors? Governors will never have much foreign policy experience, but they can appoint knowledgeable people and listen to their advice.  At least, a governor has experience in running an organization, and so does Cain.

I think that we need a President who is not part of the political establishment in Washington, someone who is smart, decisive and able to think out of the box.  Cain fills that bill.  He may not know the name of the president of some dinky country, but he’s able to learn it very quickly and anything else he needs to know.

Cain just had a secret meeting with Henry Kissinger in NYC, the one world government, new world order guy who says our troops are “useful idiots”.

You don’t don’t what you are talking about, nobody keeps to the same mantra all their life, events change. When Romney was gov. he had a dem. legislature there were things he didn’t want but couldn’t do a whole lot about it.  He was CEO of Bains capital and made it very profitable, he was CEO for 25 years, then he left to take over the olympics, he gave a million dollars to the olympics, after 3 years as CEO and turning the olympics around he was paid a salary of 1.4 million which he donated to charity.  The employees at Bain capital thought very highly of him, there was never any scandel.  Cain never stayed very long at his jobs, he went from one resturant job to another, Cain is the RINO, his wife is a registered Dem. and Cain has flop flopped more than any other candidate.

Usually the Democrats have their “October Surprise” the month before the primary election.  The fact they’ve done it this year shows how much they don’t want Cain as a candidate.  I’d believe this if there was a few historically pro-life, conservative, Republican women making the claims.  So far they’ve all been hardened Democrats, and we know they have a reason to lie.

Don’t be surprised, Next October whoever wins the Rep. primary will be the butt of the next October surprise.  The fact that nothing is said bad about Ronmey is because he is the Dem’s best hope, if the Republicans do win to have one of thier own in office.  Even so, if he wins the primary, the press will turn on him, then we’ll know of his bad mistakes, not a minute before the primary!
