I’m not on Fallon’s side. Most of these late night ass clowns I wouldn’t grace with my presence were I a candidate. I don’t see why any of them do it. Almost begging for insults.

I remember when Tuker Carlson went on Carson Daly. The band played “American Idiot.” But, to his credit, Carson IMMEDIATELY called the band out ON THE AIR. I remember him saying, “I just thought that was rude.” 

You can’t fire a person because they do something classless on their own show. 

The executives at the network should be taking action against Fallon and perhaps replacing the band. They are Fallon’s employers. They call the shots. They’re responsible for taking action and to discipline or to reprove such callous disrespect, such insulting behavior, and such reprehensible treatment of a guest… any guest.  What was done was inexcusable and unacceptable, and the network executives should be aware of this and are the ones ultimately who are reponsible to remedy the situation and take steps to ensure an apology is made and that it doesn’t happen again.

Personally, I’m going to look up some contact info for the execs over at NBC right after I post this and tell them the same…

Unfortunately, the media has no one to police them or punish them when they act inappropriately (they absolutely won’t do it themselves and the supposed media watchdogs only care about what conservative media says).  The rest of the media types (kids) are watching closely to see what the front line clowns can get away with and when they realize there are no consequences for the bad behavior they jump right in line and begin behaving badly.  Monkey see monkey do.  Next thing you know the class is in chaos, spit wads are flying in all directions, arm farts are echoing through the hallways, and pigtails are being pulled, with no one saying a thing…the teacher has left the building.

I don’t think that I ever realized how much HATE lives within the hearts of Liberals and the democrats until Obama took office. Obama filled the White House with his ZHARS, Communists, Radical Liberals and the Corrupt Union. America put a man in the White House whose only experience was a Community Organizer and he worked with ACORN, as a lawyer, to sue banks who refused to give loans to people who did not qualify, Obama and ACORN helped to create the housing Bubble, yet he is elected. He scares everyone into believing that if we did not do what he said, we would fall off the edge of the earth. 
 I am still convinced that George Soros helped to worsen the crisis by manipulating the stock market. George Soros made a comment on the BBC, this is not a direct quote,  that a regime is coming that will burst the bubble of American supremacy, this was before Obama was elected, Obama helps George Soros get 2 billion dollars to drill in Brazil. Obama refuses to let America drill, to be self sufficient, what he will allow is other countries to come along our coast lines and they can drill. He praises them, any damage they may cause is okay. Liberals are not going to support anyone like Bachmann, she believes in protecting our families, she believes in America and she believes that our government should be more accountable. Democrats want chaos, they want to overwhelm the system until it collapses, once it falls you can rebuild it as a socialist nation, they want a one world government and a one world currency.  

I might expect such low class from the left at OWS, but I expect common decency from anyone in the public eye, even from the hard left.  Obviously I had too high an opinion of them.

If polarization of American society keeps up like this, there will be civil war eventually.

I watch “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” quite often and as a whole Jimmy doesn’t seem as low as other hosts such as David Letterman or Bill Maher.  He usually is respectful with his jokes and commentary.  This is an issue with the opening band The Roots and frontman Questlove.  Jimmy Fallon will hopefully apologize tonight and the band better be reprimanded.  The Roots/Questlove have a left-wing agenda b/c if you go to Questlove’s twitter page there is a picture with him and the current POTUS.  I am glad there is such backlash to the chauvinist pigs in The Roots.

Glen can demand all the apologies he wishes. Nothing will change. The only way you can get the attention of these liberal fools is thorough their pocketbooks. Now if Glen had the guts to back a boycott of several major sponsors of some of these liberal programs and media until they changed their way of doing their biased business, then he might make a difference. He can demand all he wants to until then, because people will not hear his message. It won’t be carried by the same biased media that he strikes out against.
Some of these programs would lose their liberal humor if they lost the support of a few large sponsors.

Disrespectful action by the Roots. ?QuestLove owes a more meaningful and direct apology to Ms. Bachmann. Donating some of the profits of the next CD to youth charity in Minneapolis would be a start. Bachmann is best advised to ignore the incident and move on. It has no impact on her candidacy.

 But before Glenn gets too high and mighty, let us not forget how he made his mark on Fox by virtue of his daily disrespect for the President of the United States, and anyone else who he found to be distatsteful. Entertainment and politics do not mix. Never have, never will. I never understood why Presidential candidates started the parade to late night TV; late night TV was supposed to be an escape from reality. Politicians shilling on late night TV cheapens their message. At least when an actor appears on a talk show, you know why–they are plugging their movie.

 Entertainers do not live in the real world of public discourse and normal business relationships. Direct adversaries can conduct business, settle lawsuits and make deals without resorting to name calling. Late night comedy has always been about snarky humor and name calling. nothing new here. David Letterman once remarked something like doing his first show (following Johnny Carson in the 12:30 PM EST time slot) was essentially doing the same old bits over and over again for college students and prison inmates. Regular working people (unless old, and last time I checked is not on any  radio stations playists).It is unlikely that Michelle Bachmann has spent much time listening to Fishbone, so she would not have even noticed the song. In the adolescent world of late night comedy, the band probably had a few laughs at Bachmann’s expense.

Had Fallon simply done a skit on what he viewed theme songs would be for the Presidential candidates, and had selected the song played in the Bachmann walk on; still bad taste, but no controversy.(provided he did one appropriately mocking of each of the candidates.)

For those of you who are quick to bash the Roots, you might want to consider their entire catalogue. They are serious musicians who may not have grown up in your world, but do have a message of importnace to those who listen carefully.

I don’t necessarily defend Mrs, Bachmann, but what is more relevent here and pertinant to the story is how Fallon acted and what was wrong with what he did.  It does not matter whether you agree with Bachmann or not, what he did to her on his show is not the action of a mature and resonable person.  If you disagree with someone, it is not comely nor is it appropriate to ambush or use subtrifuge in any attempt to engage in open debate.  If it was Fallon’s intention to embarass or politically harm her, she should have known better than to step into that situation. Maybe she is stupid.  I don’t believe any conservative candidate should pander to these slimeballs.  I don’t believe Fallon will get the opportunity to have as guests on his show with then having the ability to carry communication (twitter) devices that will let staff know and inform them when they were being ambushed.  Her position on gay issues notwithstanding, a person that holds differing points of view CAN be intelligent whether they agree with you or not.  Agreeing with gay rights issues does not make you smart or sane, nor does the opposite.

I post through Dashboard and don’t need to go to the site to post. Yes I did have that problem when posting using explorer IE8 and IE9 but I use Google Chrome for posting on some websites.

That’s a good platform barb, it shouldn’t be giving you any problems. I just bought a Toshiba with windows 7 on it for one of my employees as a gift. Windows 7 works great but I had to reset all the basic programming because the Wi Fi didn’t work but other than that it’s a good platform.

Try doing a HP diagnostic if you’re having problems.

I’ve been building computers for 15 years and I have to put a call into my Geek friends from time to time.

Wi Fi is the way to go if you have a laptop and cable but you do have to add in a router which have become really cheap these days. I can run 6 computers throughout the business through one router and I don’t have to run cables anymore. My employees can also link to the office with their laptops.

I’m sure that you will do fine the more you learn about how things work.
