Perhaps my language was a bit strong for the time. In my day (which was long ago) the expression did not mean you wished for someones death, but were simply dismissing their comment. xam3991 made a comment without reason or explanation, which I find annoying.

I really, really hate when people assume to know what I’m thinking. Yes lack of personal responsibility, and the progressive movement is the real disease that infects the country, (you can avoid all the long winded BS), and no I don’t think a president is going to kiss it and make it all better. But how in the hell do you think electing more of the same bull in office is going to benefit the country? Romney IS a step toward more big government policy, and that will inevitably create more dependence from those who lack any work ethic or desire for personal responsibility. Just continue to enable those people and their will be no shift from this big government dependency that we have become so accustom to. Newt’s a step in the right direction, Ron Paul has some of the best ideas. We have to cut the buggers off, no more free baby making paid for by the people, we need to stop sympathizing for people who are totally responsible for the mess they create. We need a president who feels the same way, Romney’s a bleeding heart (liberal). More of the same BULL.

to be honest it is time for Romney to stop running. Gingrich is the only repub that has every accomplished anything in the congress. He was able to work with a very left liberal (Clinton) and a congress that did not want to work with him and get things done. Yes he is not perfect but i believe he is the only one that can beat Obama. They want to run against Romney (Obama) becasue they are sure to win.

Reading a lot of these posts makes me wonder why Newt is not the front runner - Romney launched a smear campain that over shaddowed the great presentation that Newt made in the debates. I keep hearing that Newt has the brains, Romney has the looks and money, and Santorum has the heart. Unless you are looking for a wife/husband I suggest we stick with the brains, and forget the rest of that mess. Romney will switch gears the minute he gets the nomination, and if he wins the WH conservatives will no longer recognize him. Santorum is no more qualified to be president than Obama was. He is a light weight playing at being a grown up. Newt has no more baggage than the rest of them do, and has the gravitas to be president. To those avid supporters of Ron Paul, I salute you, but he has no more chance of winning the WH than I do.
