I used to like Chris Matthews a decade ago. He has slipped so far beyond reality and each day he slips further.

Actually a true Christian should neither be left or right. The UNITED STATES IS ANYTHING BUT UNITED. The politics of this country and this world has divided and conquered. If Romney was truly a follower of Christ he would not be running for President. Religion and Politics will never mix sucessfully. The only promises you can count on are from Jesus.

If you are a true Christian you should not be either left or Right. Your vote should be for Jesus Christ. Gods Kingdom is the only answer for all of us. The Lords Prayer mentions that Gods will

So if anyone has anything negative to say about the LDS church (Mormons) we are bigots. Its amazing how some "Christians" are afraid to defend the Word of God because the Mormons are holding up a shield of political correctness. It is the LDS church and its founder that are the bigots beginning with their founder and his words against Christian churches.
Joseph Smith claimed that he had seen both God the Father and Jesus Christ and asked these personages which church he should join. He claimed he was told to join none of them, "for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight" (Joseph Smith History 1:19).When asked "Will all be damned but Mormons?" Smith replied, "Yes, and a great portion of them unless they repent and work righteousness" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 119).

What most people fail to recognize is that many of the most bigoted, mindless, moronic dimwits out there are liberals. Why? Because no matter how stupid you are, no matter how baseless your claims, no matter how ludicrous your reasoning, no matter how heinous or outrageous your behavior, if you are a liberal, you will NEVER hear a word of criticism. There is literally no limit whatsoever in the world of the liberal. It is literally considered a crime in the liberal world to criticize a Muslim, but openly referring to Catholicism and Mormonism as a cult is A-Okay. If you are a liberal, it is literally impossible to be a bigot, a "hater", a hypocrite. When you fervently believe that the end justifies the means (literally the mantra of the liberals), there is no such thing as hypocrisy because whatever you do, up to and including murder and riots, is acceptable. They are so accustomed to this type of behavior, that when they DO finally step over the line (think Keith Olbermann accusing Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin on live television of having collaborated with an as yet, unknown, assailant who murdered 6 people and wounded 18, including Gabriel Gifford), and held accountable for their own actions and lies, they take on the air of having been wrongfully accused and, typically, they pick up a new job that pays more than their last job. That is reality. Ed Schultz calls women vile names on his show and he is a hero (at least in his own mind). When Rush Limbaugh does something stupid, but infinitely less offensive, Ed Schultz completely loses his mind criticizing his much richer and much more wealthy nemesis for weeks, practically frothing at the mouth with indignation and hatred, never mind that Rush Limbaugh has never used the kind of language that Ed Schultz spews on a nearly daily basis. Oh, no. What he does is NECESSARY because of the "danger" of the conservative ideology. Chris Matthews is always the first in line to accuse conservative competitors of horrific crimes, yet there is absolutely nothing for which he will accept accountability. Who needs accountability when you are a liberal? Why bother? How many people were arrested for defecating in public at the Tea Party rallies? How many people were arrested for rape or murder at the Tea Party rallies? How many Occupy protestors committed crimes? Yet, according to the liberals, it is exactly the opposite. Here's the really pathetic part...these morons believe that they have a RIGHT to express these sentiments against conservatives, yet will boldfacedly declare that conservatives do NOT. I have literally taken the words of liberal bigots, and without informing them what I am going to do, have entered public debates in which I quote them verbatim, excepting the names. Instead of word for word the way that they originally stated it, I substitute liberal names for those that they attacked in the first place. Try it sometime. It is hilarious to publicly humiliate someone who has wrongly chosen to believe that they should have some special dispensation because of their beliefs and that they can say it however they wish without consequence. They absolutely lose their minds in public, screaming "racism" or some other stupid accusation. What is really hilarious is what happens when the audience hears you quote their original statement and you point out that THEY were the ones who said it, not you. Every time...every SINGLE time, the stammering begins and finally, they can't help themselves. They all end up claiming that it is bigoted when a conservative says it, but completely okay when a liberal says it. That's usually when the booing begins. Folks, there are no facts to support liberalism. When their lies and hypocrisy are exposed to the light of day, they simply cannot defend themselves. They can stammer and harrumph all they want, but they simply sound STUPID. Want to see how offensive Chris Matthew's words really are? Substitute ANY liberal god or ideal for those terms and watch the screaming, the venom, the hatred begin in earnest. I no longer try to reason with these people because they will accept ANYTHING from someone on their side. Conservatives do not afford their own heroes this luxury and they shouldn't. Too bad that not even the slightest modicum of restraint or decorum exists on the other side. Absolutely ANY behavior on their side is okay because even lies or outrageous behaviors make them heroes to their side because they are supporting the cause. Why do they take this road? My contention is that it is based on laziness and avarice. Being a liberal is simply WAY easier.

I did not have an opportunity to see, or hear this until now. I am not a "BIG" supporter of Either Rick Santorum, or Mitt Romney, and I do not say, nor will I ever say anything bad about his religion. No Catholic has ever forced me to do anything against my beliefs. NONE whatsoever. This "BOY" had better watch his-self. I am not a hateful man, but BOYS from the South know how to take care of things, and we will, and can take care of his ugly but real easily.

Since the administration is making the Catholic Church appear to be against women (though opposition the HHS mandate has nothing to do with that at all) Axelrod is trying to make the Mormons appear "anti-woman" as well. That is supposed to turn women against any possible R nominees and tries to put us into religious factions.

Mr. Beck,
My name is Monte Matheson. Like you I am LDS. Like you I'm a Republican. I voted for Rick Santorum, because I liked what he had to say. Now you're competing with me for the position of president of the "Mormons for Santorum" club. We'll have to meet with all three of us to vote on it.

However, that's not why I'm writing. I can't stand MSNBC, but I used to watch Matthews back during the impeachment days when it wasn't just Manhatteners watching CNBC and MSNBC, and I saw his response to you on the above clip, and I do think you attacked him unfairly on being AntiMormon. Doubtless that pucilanimous shouter Lawrence O'Donnel is, but Matthews has never disparaged Mormonism itself. In all the years I watched him, he always treated Senator Hatch, Bay Buchannen and most other LDS people with dignity and respect, and had kind things to say about the church and its people. His response to your statements about Mormons and his statement of good LDS people he knew that led him to where he was was not just smoke and mirrors. He has always had respect for our faith. He's said a lot of other things that scare the crap out of me and should concern all Americans equally, but none of that was specific to LDS people.

You may have a point on the south. He is a Catholic, and as such he may harbor, it appears, some resentment towards the protestant south. I once shared this prejudice against the south because my ancestors had to flee Georgia once they converted to Mormonism, in the late 19th century. I was not cured of this prejudice by someone calling me a bigot, though it may have been true. I was cured of it when I was a 1LT in the Army Guard attending the Captains Career Course in FT Benning, GA and had the opportunity to get to know some good southern people in Columbus, GA and Auburn, AL. There I learned that much of the south had changed with America, and my old prejudices were wiped away with a warm southern smile.

I mention that, because I think in this clip you adopted the lefts means of fingerpointing on bigotry, when it's not lobbing names, but love that wins hearts. I know my insults towards O'Donnel may be the antithesis of that, but I'm not perfect either. I would say the Tuskeegee Airmen putting themselves at greater risk than any fighter escort group before them, on behalf of the bomber crews they accompanied and protected, probably did just as much to win people to the Civil Rights Cause as Rosa Parks's refusal to move.

As a man who shares your faith and your values, I would ask you to apologize to Chris Matthews at the least on the Mormon comment, becuase it is not true. Restate your case in defense of the decent southerners and ask him to treat them fairly as you will have treated hi by your retraction of the anti-Mormon bigot comment. Of course I'm a nobody, and you don't have to pay me any mind, but I hope your conscience will tell it to you in a way that is more becoming than my words. God Speed.

Now, I don't agree with Chris and Ed attacking Mitt because of his religion. However, I do have a problem with that religion calling itself Christian. It contradicts the main beliefs. I would challenge Glenn to look into the religion that he has in common with Mitt. Delve into its claims with the same fervor. He doesn't need to broadcast his findings. This is just a personal challenge.

As for Chris and Ed, they show their bigotry with a great diligence. They are godless and mock anyone that isn't.
