too bad she’s not seat belted correctly

  • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.stadtmueller Lisa Paonessa Stadtmueller

This is adorable! BUT I have to point out – this little cherub is wearing her seat belt wrong…it has to go over her shoulder…she isn’t secure the way she’s sitting. But she is a little lover…..

Im devout catholic and love the music, but these kiddie tapes seem creepy to me.And the other poster is right, baby is not strapped in properly. I doubt she understands a word of what she is saying.

Yeah…but I think she was protected by something more powerful than the belt.

cute. I like Casting Crowns music better. They did the Christian movie “Courageous.”

I’m sure she understands more of what she’s saying more than most Catholics understand the Bible. Go back to worshipping your dead saints and marble statues and stop minimizing this young child’s worshipping.  You may want to open your dusty bible and read Luke 18:16 “But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”

really????? i’m sure the car is parked they are taping wow
by looking at the car seat she is in, IT MOST DEFINITELY IS the right way.

my heart has been stollen.  she is beautiful and precious.

  • http://www.facebook.com/tksimons Karen Simons

The child is adorable, but she is NOT worshipping.  She is imitating the behavior of adults in her life.  Children want, above all else, the love and approval of their parents.  Have you seen the movie “Jesus Camp”?  Child evangelizing to a Scary degree.  I hope these kids get a chance to learn to think for themselves one day.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000236029078 Linda Ludwig-Hull

I don’t care who her parents are, what song she’s singing or what day it is. The little girls parents should be so proud of her and themselves for teaching her what is really important. The Lord Jesus Christ. She is so precious and I’m sure not only was there a tear in my eye but in His eye as well. Well done His good and faithful servants. And I agree, the car was stopped for taping, the seat belt was in place and the little girl was surely being protected by Almighty God.

I really do not think thats what they were going for. I feel that this is a very good example of a child raised in an amazing christian home where she feels she is able to do this. No one said that she was worshiping, but do you not think that God is honored by this child like form of “Worship”. No one was asking for such cynical remarks that I feel this post my get. Just accept it for what it is: adorable! Later in her life I pray she develops her own true sense for worshiping our heavenly father, but for now thank God that she is following this lovely model that was obviously viewed by her in her parents/guardians life.

I love, love, love and LOVE it!!! They are being raised by parents that are doers… the child is watching every move they make., and what an ANGEL!  Jus goes to show they do it at home as well and not just in CHURCH! God Bless the family!! Keep em coming!!

Although I agree with your opinion that this little girl’s worship is beautiful, I think that your attacks on Catholics and Catholicism is ignorant,  un-Christian, and just plain unjustified.

Oops, I was typing with a wiggly baby in my arms and forgot to proofread, the attacks ARE ignorant rather than IS ignorant.

I agree. I am Catholic and have read my Bible from beginning to end 3 times.  Why does everyone have to be so mean. Just take it for what it is….a precious child of GOD, thanking HIM and praising HIM, which is what we are all called to do. Be grateful, humble and honest.

True, she may not know what she is really singing about, but no one would think twice about applauding a child singing a secular song and mimicking what she sees everyone doing.  I believe God smiles down on her with great pleasure.  I applaud the parents for letting her be in the service and see adults worshiping and even joining in.  These are the things that will stay with a child throughout her life.

If you look at the window they are moving. The strap belongs over the shoulder not under the arm. With all my faith in g-d I still strap my kids in correctly.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1173371265 Linda Fowler Johnson

this is not about the seat belt ..it is about a child who is being shown and taught to love God and show her love with the emotion that comes to us when we sing praises to HIM..<3

first of all, look at the buildings – the car is DEFINITELY moving.  I personally would assume that the passenger is doing the recording.
Second of all, yes, look at the seat, and the seatbelt.  marsnbac is DEFINITELY correct.  The child is NOT properly restrained.  She is too young for a booster of that style.  She should still be in a 4pt harness.

  • Anonymous

    That was beautiful!

  • Teacher Man

At almost  70 years of age I am constantly astounded at how really different we are as human beings.  Some can see just the simple “cuteness” of a video.  So the comments range from:  that’s cute…..she’s mimicking adults…….Catholics are bad…….seat belts are on wrong, etc.     I truly think that if we had a video of a 1 year old smacking a baseball, someone would claim the child is being taught to abuse a round object!

Most of us know that you “know it alls” are out there.  Your religious bias is out there.   Can’t we just appreciate “cute”….??

  • Anonymous

Congrats to the parents of this baby!!  Introducing her to beautiful music, words and message.  I wish more parents would do the same.

  • Anonymous

You don’t have to understand the words or be “adult smart” to feel the presence of God. If God knows his children even while being formed in the womb, I’m sure he can touch the heart and spirit of this little cutie in a very real and meaningful way. Looks to me like he has.

Unless a person becomes like a little child, he shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.  And a child shall lead them.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Stacy-Howard-Lesinski/1518042946 Stacy Howard-Lesinski

It is beautiful and we dont know if she understand but my God is big enough to speak to even the smallest of children and the Psalms says, he knew me in my mother womb.  It is uplifting and I wish we could all have a child like faith.  Thanks Glenn

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Stacy-Howard-Lesinski/1518042946 Stacy Howard-Lesinski

We really dont know if she knows what she is saying, but I know my God is big enough to speak through music to the smallest of children.  We know the bible teaches that He knew us in our mother’s womb before even the foundation of the earth was formed.  It just shows the power of being raised in a Chrisitan home and that children do watch and mimic our every moves.  Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video!  I do agree however with the car seat comments.  Too young for a booster, and not properly using the booster she is in.  The car is moving.  I just hope God protects her, when others are not :(

Hey mike, why don’t you try just not saying for a change…

  • http://www.facebook.com/corey.c.jordan Corey C. Jordan

Lisa is correct. I noticed this immediately. I have a 4 1/2 year old living with me (grand daughter), and we just switched to a booster type seat. This younger child should be in a child seat with a 4 point harness, with the Latch system AND the seatbelt securing the seat in place.

    girl’s been to church.

  • Joy Hearrington

Hate to tell you but when you are not watching, your kid may be taking their arm out of the cross-strap too.  It is common and is something we all need to watch for in the back seat.

  • Joy Hearrington

Precious.  I have a two year old and she also loves to worship (but is not raising hands yet).  It is written on our hearts to worship.  Whether we worship the right thing or not, that is debatable.  This little girl is worshiping the one true G-d and it is a testimony to all of us as human beings to consider where we are in our walks with Him…  Thanks for sharing this video and talking about it on your radio show.  Otherwise, I would have missed it!

  • Anonymous

Maybe, but if I saw that I would stop and fix it. I’ve seen so many kids buckled incorrectly. If the seat belt isn’t used or use incorrectly it is not going to work.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=687753193 Krystal Dubovik Harkness

She’s going to need that faith in God if they get into a car accident. Fix that child’s seat belt please.

If a person is so distracted by what is wrong in this video, then I can only assume that they are unable to fully cherish the beauty and sweetness of what this is showing.  Yes  we all want our children to be safe but is that what this message was about? What was wrong with this, was the only inspiration you could find in your heart to post about?

That’s why you put them in a 4 pt harness – so they can’t wiggle out from under the strap….better safe than sorry.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.stadtmueller Lisa Paonessa Stadtmueller

AMEN Krystal! While she is adorable no doubt, it is far more important to keep her safe than capture this. She’s too young for this car seat.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.stadtmueller Lisa Paonessa Stadtmueller

If you were an EMT and saw what happens to kids unsecured like this in a crash you would feel the same as those of us advocating for proper safety restraints. She doesn’t have a choice to drive unrestrained, when she’s 16 and gets her license she can throw caution to the wind but in the meantime it’s the adults job by law to protect her by restraining her securely. Plain and simple.

Child is not properly strapped in. Simple-minded music btw. If God exists, who created Him? I rather love people than God. People are real. Scientific research shows that strongly religious people are less empathic than mildly religious, agnostic or atheist people. Go figure why.

  • http://twitter.com/ENConservative ENConservative

That is utterly adorable!  Wow. That child is touched by the Holy Spirit for sure.  Amazing!

  • Anonymous

That was not scientific and history begs to differ. How many Athiest charities vs Christian charities?  And, which religions were they including.  It’s proven conservatives give more to charity than liberals….. gee…  go figure…. who started charities? Athiests?  Hardly the latter.
Plus, if you loved ‘people,’ you woudn’t be dissing those who believe in God for merely believing in God… you love your ‘ego’ I suspect.

  • http://www.facebook.com/katie.harten.7 Katie Harten

This is the sweetest video and makes my heart feel good that this child sings about God.

  • Anonymous

How beautiful!  The Lord has already baptized this child with His Holy Spirit to proclaim His Name. How lovely to hear God’s praises coming from the lips of a tiny child instead of whining, cursing, or worst of all, “gimmee!”  God surely has His angels looking after this precious child of His.  “And people were bringing their children to Jesus that He might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.  When Jesus saw this, He became indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to me; do not prevent it, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.’  Then He embraced them and blessed them, placing His hands on them.”  Mk 10:13-16(NAB)

  • Anonymous

No. But why repeat what has been said over and over, certainly it is cute, sweet, and inspirational. I’m looking at the bigger picture. And if a child’s safety goes unnoticed because one gets caught up in the cuteness, are you being the parent you should be? Safety First!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=591672638 TimandTerri Lidberg

That is NO purer praise than that right there!  Bless her, Lord!

  • Tuesday Krakovsky

by that logic it would be ok to hang your child off a bridge….because you know she is protected…..that is nonsense, we are responsible for making good choices and taking care of what God has entrusted us with.  Any parent that takes those kinds of risks with the precious gift God has given them is not acting as good parent and taking care of their child.

  • Tuesday Krakovsky

I agree with Lisa, this child is too small for a booster, she is in the wrong car seat to start with.  My kids never took their arms out because they were taught about safety from a very young age.  I certainty would not have video taped while driving knowing my child’s life was at risk because I thought what she was doing was cute.

  • Tuesday Krakovsky

The car was not stopped, you can see the movement out the window as they pass things by.  The seat belt was not in place and she is not even in an age appropriate car seat.  The parents should be ashamed of themselves for such reckless behavior.

  • Anonymous
