An the average Older couple are no better off. We are not Social Security age- some older workers had the option to take early retirement after getting laid off. We live on $1700 pension per month- my insurance is $500 a month(husbands is paid for by his former employer). We have a mortgage that takes up the rest of the pension and are right now living on savings for food-taxes,light,car- etc.

Where are they going to tax us more- there is nothing left. We plan to sell our home some day but maybe the bank will get it or the school district whom raising taxes here so high that we can’t see how it is humanly possible to tax an area so poor so high! Our Real Estate taxes are $6000 a year on a $145,000 dollar house! Homes are not selling- there are several up the street that has been on the market going now on 4 years! One home came down $130,000 dollars less and still no offers.

This whole health care situation has been burning up. We pay for our insurance- I have never taken from the system- never- I pay my bills and what makes me angry is those that are getting all of that for FREE! I just found out that my local hospital has been checking our credit via a company called Search America(Experian) and we are all given Medical FICO scores to see how we will pay our bill! Can you believe this- I did not even know about it or that such a thing was legal until I started to look it up online.

So people who pay their medical insurance- always pay their medical co pays after insurance are now being scrutinized before they get service at a Hospital!

why is it that “every” time Obama or Pelosi talks about the new healthcare laws they both say the same thing and it goes like this, “ladies & gentleman this new law ensures that EVERY Amercian will have to carry health care”. Hummm …and then I say wow both Pelosi & Obama suddenly seem ok with using the word American but only when they tallk abouth this new coverage hummm.. because usually both and all politaicians now run away from EVER limiting something to only the Americans. So I ask why is it that every American must carry coverage is it so that Illegals and yes I said Illegals will still be able to walk into a hospital and get American health care for free???? Do Illiegal Imigrants have to purchase healthcare too?? If not then I guess they still get a free ride?? And yes i said they..I’m not playing PC games.
he word they is in the English vocb..so deal with it..thank you.

So I get it this new law ensres that “every” American must purchase healthj care to help subsidize all the fre health acre for Non Americans aka Illegal Immigrants.

And why isnt any other Politician asking that question publicly?? Like out loud?

Personally I think we should bring uninsured into the existing medicare system. let them buy in. The poor get medicaid so open up that program for a wider group. We need tax reform. I think the FairTax is the best option we have so that everyone pays taxes. Everyone, including illegals, tourists etc. The poor get a prebate so they won’t be unfairly burdened. The only thing we should never tax is food and medicine.

The Flat Tax was a great idea. If everyone participated, and you really couldn’t avoid it generally, I would think we’d all end up paying less taxes overall; but the gov would make upwards of twice as much as they had been. Why didn’t we go that route? It doesn’t allow for the gov to retain any new information on us. In fact, the gov would lose information on us citizens. The name of the game is wrangle everyone in; on something, anything. Obamacare is that plan coming into fruition.

After the win, they’ll have a change of direction, I assure you. No country willingly accepts an open border policy; they want head counts, they want all persons accounted for. They want all people to pay taxes. Rome had that idea. That’s not the crime however; the crime is their motives for knowing everything about every single one of us.

Glenn, Is Obamacare or is not Obamacare another way of reaching a pact with the American people on a National ID System? Let’s keep arguing whether it’s a legit tax, and let’s argue some more about the constitutionality of it. Let’s also discuss, in depth, what IT IS. And, what it will mean beyond the obvious kick in the teeth. Thank you and I’ll look for your responce.

So if someone can’t afford to have healthcare and they get sick, we should what? let them die? let their families go bankrupt selling their home?

We as a people and nation must protect, hard-working american, the elderly who pay taxes all their lives and the innocent that can’t fend for themselves.

Or as a nation do we say “Not my responsbility to pay for your cancer treatment or your cataract surgery or Leukemia”.

Universal Healthcare isn’t a new idea and it wasn’t started by Obama, he was just the first to see it through.

My taxes pay for the war, bombs and countless other things I don’t agree with. Affordable healthcare is something I am happy to see my tax dollars go towards.
