From Radio: ABC’s Brian Ross arrested for murder, sexual related charges?

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Using the same standards ABC’s Brian Ross uses for reporting – which is apparently the super quality ‘Google & Guess’ method – Glenn Beck Program Chief Investigator Stu uncovers some very serious charges against Brian Ross. Did Brian Ross get charged with murder and ‘sexual related’ crimes?

Charge one: Chris Davis was brutally killed and murdered he was found facedown in his pool.  Brian Ross has been arrested for the killing of Chris Davis:

Five suspects were arrested Thursday as a result of the St. Albans police investigation into the death of Chris Davis, who was found dead in a swimming pool April 16.

None of the suspects are charged with killing Davis, only that they assaulted and robbed him. The developments were hard for Davis’ family and friends to watch from the Franklin County courthouse.

Samamnthajo Assisi was Davis’ girlfriend. She’s also the mother of their two year-old daughter Lillian Grace…who she says looks just like him.

“I feel so bad for her,” Assisi said as she battled back tears.

“That was his everything. He loved that baby so much.”

Four of the five suspects arrested made their appearance in court today. Police say Travis Bugbee and Brian Ross lured Davis to the St. Albans swimming pool on March 21.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:  ”An earlier Glenn Beck Program broadcast report did suggest that Brian Holmes of ABC News might be the suspect,” said Chief Investigator Stu Burguiere. “That report was incorrect.  The Glenn Beck program and myself, Stu Burguiere, apologize for that mistake and for disseminating information before it was properly vetted.

Charge Two: Brian Ross sent explicit photos and text messages to two teenage girls:

Explicit photos and text messages to two girls has landed a 37-year-old Mentone man in jail on suspicion of sex-related charges, according to Fontana police and jail records.

Brian John Ross was arrested at 5:35 p.m. Thursday at Sierra and Merrill avenues in Fontana and booked on suspicion of contacting a minor and arranging to meet with a minor via the Internet for the purpose of having sex, jail records show. His bail is $50,000.

On March 13, a 10-year-old Fontana girl received a text message from a man who would later identify himself as a 38-year-old named “Brian,” police said in a written statement.

While the guys may have had some fun pointing out the horrible investigative tools and standards employed by ABC News, Glenn did get serious about the dangers of this kind of “story first, facts later” reporting.

Glenn said, “I’m talking to the Brian Ross at ABC News.  What you should do, Brian, is not worry about being first.  Not worry about your political agenda.  What you should do is be accurate.  That’s something that they used to teach in journalism schools.”

“Everybody makes a mistake.  But I believe, I believe we would fire somebody who would do what you just did,” he said.

He added that moments like this one are the reason America has so little trust in the media today.

The talking heads did the same thing with the Tucson shooting, blame conservatives first, check the facts later.  I have no use whatsoever for the liberal propaganda machine aka the lamestream media.  They are stupid, ignorant puppets.  The proof is that they don’t even realize they are stupid, ignorant puppets, so that makes it self evident.

This doesn’t make sense.  Didn’t the Glenn Beck show mistakenly suggest Brian Ross was the suspect.  It was Brian Ross who suggested that Holmes, a tea party member was a suspect in the CO shooting.

Hey Glenn, I had an illegal Triple I background check done on me by our mayor and chief of police because I’m a local Tea Party leader. Others were also subjected to this, and their reasoning was the Arizona shootings. The background checks were done on January 11, 2011, after the Arizona shootings happened on the 8th, and media falsely reported Hassan was a Tea Party member.

Face it Glenn…ABC and more importantly Brian Ross are DESPERATE to get the ratings up. They are literally grasping at straws to get noticed and so they will suggest, print, announce,
or REPORT what they WANT to be truth regardless of its truthfullness. The liberal media does this constantly. This is exactly what cost Dan Rather his job and his career. In the end he was fired and crawled away in ignominious fashion.  Brian Ross is headed the same direction. We can simply consider the source of false information and turn to another channel.

Though the texts are pretty much the same, Protestants and Catholics number the commandments differently.  In the Catholic enumeration “false witness” is the eighth commandment.

    Uh, Maureen.  It’s called sarcasm.

See, ABC recklessly, foolishly and incorrectly suggested a possible link between an individual named Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, and the Tea Party.

So Glenn Beck is showing how foolish ABC was — and how reckless —  by using a quick internet search to link an innocent man (with a very common name) to a heinous crime — by using a spoof of an example of how Brian Ross could be tarred using the same methods that ABC used.

Get it now?  (You’re not a Democrat, by any chance, are you?)

Isn’t it just like real journalistic reporting that once you hear of a terrible murder like this on in Colorado, of course the first place to look is the Tea Party members!!!!!  And then you blast it on national news with good ole Georgie boy Stephanopolos and it becomes part of their morning news.  Then you later in the day decide to run a little “we are sorry” line after the whole world heard that this fellow is 52 years old etc., etc., and the real murderer is 24!  That is the condition of our news media today (MSM that is) there is no such thing a truth to their stories.  Sickening, and I think your comparison Glenn to Brian Ross the murderer and sex offender is just wonderful.  I hope Brian Ross at ABC got a taste of his own medicine.

Glenn mentioned this morning how this bad information would not have been available for mis-reporting if ABC News did not include “Tea Party” within their search criteria.  ABC News wasn’t only after information about the shooter, their intention was to see if there was a way to  associate him with the Tea Party.  I am interested in whether they used “Occupy Movement” or “Democrat” in their searching or if they made the choice to maintain ignorance as long as possible of any connection that might exist.

There is a pattern here.  Remember the Gabby Giffords incident?  Who was blamed for that when it was a registered democrat?  Tea Party.
Lets also look at the ft. Hood shooting.  It was not a terrorist attack but a violence in the workplace incident.  That’s why no purple hearts were issued.  Also No flag at half staff as I remember.
How about last year when we lost 30 military personnel and no flag at half staff.
Gabby shot and 6 died, flags at half staff.
Today 12 civilians die and flags a t half staff.
Proof in my opinion of how obama loathes the military and the Tea Party..

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Richard-Firth/100003132306107 Richard Firth

Right on the money, ahhhs.   Watch obama try to turn this into his personal victory.  Already he said “we will make sure the perpetrator is brought to justice.”   We?  Who exactly are you talking about, obama?  Your DHS said this wasn’t a terror attack, therefore it’s a case of multiple shootings and might we remind you, there are cops in Aurora whose job it is to investigate and take care of it.  And we even have a court system in place.  In other words, express your condolences and please just STFU.  How about you doing YOUR job (like creating some jobs) and let those who have one do theirs?  Fair enough.

  • Anonymous

And what I always found interesting about the Tucson shooting was that no one even hinted that Gabrielle Giffords herself should share some of the blame for pulling such a stupid stunt, and having a meet-the-public event out in the open, with little to no security. There was no way to screen who came up to her, as she was literally out there in the open, and unfortunately innocent people were hurt, and/or killed.

I noticed in the reporting that he supposedly bought all those guns in a four day period. When I purchased a gun, I believe the paper work said I would not be able to purchase another gun for one month. So, if this is true, then either he purchased his guns illegally, or he didn’t purchase those guns in a four day timeframe. The first thing I wondered is where he got all the protective gear? Can you really purchase bullet proof gear without being in law enforcement or the military, that doesn’t make sense. The other thing I thought about was, what if there was someone in the audience that had a concealled weapon and killed this guy before he was able to get even 20 rounds fired? How many peoples lives would have been saved, how many would not have been wounded? I have a feeling it would be different, if would be killers had to worry about an American citizen in the audience packing heat.

wvelie, in answer to a couple of your questions—what is the law in CO for the

purchase of protective gear—how long had he planned on doing an incident of

this kind?   If it was for some time, then he could have bought it over a period

of time.  Does the internet have sites that would sell this kind of gear?  It was

Sorry Dixie. To pass blame to Gifford for the act of an individual puts you right down the same path as the MSM. If it were not for people like this she would need no security at all. To suggest people who need security and gets shot are somehow at fault is simply elementary.

It wasn’t a stupid stunt, politicians all over the world do those kinds of meet the public events thousands of times every day.

Any analysis of these mass murders has to take into account how incredibly rare they are. Every day and night, there are literally billions of people going out to public places without much more than maybe getting into an argument or a scuffle.

The problem with fixing this is that the basic mechanic of self regulation works incredibly well, so any fix is virtually certain to make things worse.

  • http://twitter.com/Trochilus Trochilus

Lets not forget that standing right there with Brian Ross, egging him on in fact, was George  Stephanopoulos, the Chief Political Correspondent of ABC News, who is like the Little Jack Horner of ABC, with his thumb stuck in virtually every news and analysis show the network offers.

Before entering the ABC News business, of course, he was a long-time Democrat political operative for Ed Faigan, Michael Dukakis, and then Bill Clinton.  He left the Clinton Administration after the election in ’96, following a mini-scandal in which he was exposed for having somehow received a highly unusual commercial real estate loan at a below-market loan rate from a bank owned by a banker very close to Bill Clinton.  On a partisan political level, Stephanopoulos has long maintained close Democrat ties, ones that critics have claimed have inevitably colored his reporting and opinion making.

This incident of falsely jumping on a Tea Party “connection” is just the latest in a long line of partisan staining of the ABC brand by GS.

For example, as of 2009, GS was still maintained his close ties with the old gang of Clinton Democrat operatives — James Carville, Paul Begala and Rahm Emanuel, who had by that time become Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff — by engaging in daily conference calls with them!  Biased much?

ABC does have some good journalists (Jake Tapper), but the across-the-board presence at the network of the blatantly partisan George Stephanopoulos, is an ongoing scandal, one that will simply not go away.

I’m sorry, but it WAS a stupid stunt, in that it should have been done in an area where anyone seeking access to the congresswoman could have been searched for weapons. I’m surprised at the naivete that it took to blithely go out in public and let anyone approach a member of the government. There’s a reason why security is so heavy at all government buildings, there are a lot of nut jobs out there. The argument that there are a lot of people going out into the public without getting into arguments misses my point completely. When you are a member of the government, or any other public figure for that matter, then like it or not, you are much more likely to attract the attention of some unbalanced individual. Had there been some better security measures used, the Tucson tragedy could have more than likely been avoided, or at least lessened.

  • Anonymous

I wasn’t suggesting that Giffords was solely to blame for the tragedy, only that it would have been prudent of her to utilize some security measures. If she had chosen a safer venue, and people entering had been screened for weapons, this whole sad episode could probably have been avoided.

    How are you doing?

Tom Blumer at “NewsBusters” has posted a very insightful analysis piece, especially about the mindset of George Stephanoulos, and why, as he put it,

“Brian Ross is not the only blameworthy party in the irresponsible smear
of a 52 year-old Tea Party activist as the possible perpetrator of the
Aurora, Colorado theater massacre early Friday. Everyone on the set of
ABC’s Good Morning America could have said “wait, this is premature and
    irresponsible” — and didn’t.”

    (more in original) . . . .”

Blumer links to and credits an insightful columne by John Kass of the Chicago Tribune in getting at, in particular, the irresponsibility of Stephanopoulos.  It was reported, after all, on an ABC show where GS is a host.

This is why the LAME street media can not be trusted to give the PUBLIC the facts on any level. How long did it take to hear anything regarding FAST N FURIOUS? CNN said ” it sounds like a MOVIE” and BRUSHED IT A SIDE!!!!!

Thanks I missed doing this but you know I still have to stay away until after the elections. I got tired of the in fighting for this guy or that then I started doing it so that is why I left. It is who I don’t want to be. I had to come back for this friend. It felt wrong not standing with my fellow countrymen and women. It is almost like a mini 9/11 and causing tons of fear that thankfully not many is letting that control them. I wonder if this is a sign of the end. It feels like to me that we get these mass murders showing up and killing people 3 times a year now. What I don’t understand this guy had a future to become a great scientist but thrown it all away to murder people who commented no crime. Yes it may have been hard for him to find a job it is hard for everyone I just can’t understand this. How a smart and intelligent human being could do this. God was their the way it sounds many more should of died that day but did not.

I love it!!!  Even a doctor will sometimes have to ‘do harm to perfectly good cells’ in order to ‘go in’ towards a greater & important good!  Using that logic, I hope Mr Beck will keep up the ‘good surgery’ on the MSM peeps, maybe, just maybe, they can be ‘repaired’.

Jean, it’s a little more than crazy, it’s pure EVIL.

I understand. I get over the top myself, but I cannot disengage because the cost of apathy is too high. I don’t know if we are in the end times or not. I always took it that we should always live like it is our last day. It puts a different perspective on life when we do it that way.
As far as this murderer in Colorado, I’ve heard he was on mind altering drugs, but I don’t know that for sure. Almost everyone has something to contribute to this life and it’s tragic when people take the wrong path. This man chose the evil side, something each of us must choose between, good or evil. Some people will deny that Satan exists but I see evidence all around that he does.
Only through Christ can we change the heart. There but by the grace of God go I. So I would say engage to the best of your ability but be ready to take a break. If it weighs you down too much then disengage as God leads you. He will give you strength to accomplish his purpose. God Bless.

Why don’t we just go all the way and put shock collars on every US citizen? Wouldn’t that “control” the situation?  Why does some government gum shoe deserve more protection than anyone else?  People like you who want total security and safety for everyone and everything on earth at all times are screwing up the United States and eliminating freedom.

My break has been helpful but I still doing a little blogging at misfit politics where a lot of young conservatives hang around. I think it is important to speak up but I needed a long break but been trying to get people to vote who are tick off about Obama.
Satan is real and walking among us. He is a dangerous enemy you just give him inch in your heart and he will run with it. Sad thing is most Christians don’t want to face the fact he was real. Scary thing is many will say Lord lord in the end but most will not make it. In the men’s group in my church would be saved and how many would be left behind. Would it shock you that countries where we sent missionaries to are now sending them here and who could blame them? We put more faith in an election that we do Jesus. We put more faith in ourselves then Jesus and we wonder why we are in this mess we found ourselves in. Most of us don’t even talk to him without asking him for something. How many times does he just get praised? When I took this time off I been studying his words and know I am doing the right thing. I fell so far short that if I died I two months ago I would be in hell.

We can all say that at just about any day. It is the Holy Spirit convicting us of sin. When our sinful actions bother us, we know that the Holy Spirit is refining us like fine gold. Remember when King David was confronted with his sin with Bathsheba. He confessed his sin. In Psalm 51:12 David says “Restore unto me the joy of your salvation”. His salvation was never lost, but the joy had gone away because of unresolved conflict and sin. We are saved even though we stumble, but through that confession, Christ wipes away every sin. It’s difficult to talk to people who are on the road to perdition and refuse the truth and not get angry, but we should do it with love. We are all sinners and fall short, we confess and go forth striving for perfection with faith.

When does Obama work? Over 100 rounds of golf. Over a hundred days of
vacation, Plus work vacation when he travels to various meetings, scores
of White house concerts and dinners, then add to that since Jun 6, 2012
–has attended over 150 fundraisers since taking office, all at mostly
the tax payer’s expenses ($161,000 an hour for Air Force One). So again
my question: When does Obama work?

Think! Do you really want an America where there is no reward for your
labor, ingenuity, sacrifice, investment? Study the conditions in the
USSR, North Korea, Cuba, or any other socialist country: Long lines,
empty shelves. The government elite live the good life while you go
hungry or worst are taken and shot because a madman thinks you didn’t
thank him enough. It happened in other countries and if this tyrant is
re-elected then I am betting it will happen here. He hired another
    11,000 IRS agents.

I always said criminal Brian Ross was a worthless piece of s____!  Most citizens believe B.Ross has a criminal background and the worst commentators in the  news business hired him cause they needed a Hatchett MAN .Brian Ross ; Hatchett Man and Criminal at large.

There has been violence since man has walked but there was a  lot less when we didnt have a lot of illegal hispanics and  muslims running around at large in our society. Seal the borders immediately , and throw out all illegals and those that have committed crimes and have criminal records.
