Like Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck but that has nothing to do with my support of him. I connect with Romney's ability to recognize the importance of family and the love we all have for our children.  I would like to share with all of you that may not know the challenge of being a Mormon Bishop.  This is a tireless task that requires more work than a full time job and comes with no pay other than the love and respect of your congregation and God.  Let me tell you that this position takes the most special kind of person to be able to listen and advise people who are in a bad place in life. Not just anyone can do this job and it isn't just for people who are great at leading a company.  This is a position for people who care endlessly for others and never give up on anyone.  If you want to see someone who never judges another then look no further than a Mormon Bishop.  This is a man who has proven in his past that he is willing to serve others for nothing in return, who will commit himself 100% to the betterment of mankind.  Romney was not my first choice by any means but I can tell you with complete honesty that this man cares about this country, God, and all of you! America needs to get back to what our Founding Fathers had in mind...in God we trust.  How can anyone trust Obama or what he stands for.  I find in Mr. Romney  hope for the future...and I trust that if we Vote in November for Mitt Romney America will be heading in the right direction. Mitt being raised in a blue collar town and being eager to get out and prove himself shows courage and the drive to succeed.  The way his father showed his wife affection and the fact that they were together for 64 years shows dedication to each other and strong family values which are a quality that I think our president should have. I also agree with how he pointed out Obama pushed “Change” and that he would fix everything and he has been unsuccessful. Mitt on the other hand does not claim that he is going to fix the world, but he promises to help me and my family and dam that sounds pretty good right about now. I am sick of the US assisting other countries and not watching out for our own. It is time that we step away from the big brother role that the US plays and allows other countries to fail if they do a bad job. After his speech, I knew that he clearly remembered every detail. He knows that he built his own success, as did every American who took a risk to reach for their dreams - whatever those dreams were and are. I started up my own business in 2004. Each year this business grew - until 2009. In July 2008, things took a dramatic nose dive off of cliff. I started to feel it in 2009, and every year since then. I was building a small business with my own blood, sweat and tears. The government, through policies of Obama and his Socialist cronies,  have kept my business stuck in quicksand. If it weren't for my love for my family, I might have given up.  I am barely surviving, but I still work hard and I still look for new ways to bring income into my business. Obama doesn't get it. I do NOT want the government's "help". I want to do succeed on my own, just as my dad did. He grew up dirt poor on an Iowa farm. He left once he turned 18 years old to join the Air Force. He went to Vietnam and put in 20 years. He moved on and eventually put in 25 years with a company that used the talents and experience he gained from the military. He went from eating bologna or peanut butter & jelly sandwiches to eating real lunches. And he went from renting to owning a nice home. That's what inspires me, my dad's home-grown success. Romney gets it. Obama is lost in his belief that the Constitution was and is a failure, that it failed to give government enough power. Romney understands that we build our own successes from our dreams. He knows that we can build it, but the government can destroy it in a heartbeat. How many people now fear the government? Isn't that tyranny? It seems to me that Obama's dream is to have such a fear. Tyranny is often born from good intentions. Romney's speech may not have been as inspiring as Obama's - last year - but he had a connection with reality. He wants to help our families rather than part the waters, calm the storms and raise the dead. I sort of believed in him before the speech. I have faith in him, now that he has Ryan and that he has spoken like a real man. I have wondered if Mr. Romney forgot where he came from.
