TheBlaze Continues to Expand Its Multi-Platform Reach

(New York, NY September 5th) TheBlaze, Glenn Beck’s news, information, entertainment, and e-commerce network announced today TheBlaze Radio Network, a brand-new online radio channel. TheBlaze Radio Network will be the new exclusive home for renowned nationally syndicated talk-radio personality and Marconi Award nominee Jay Severin. The line-up will also include a simulcast of The Glenn Beck Radio Program, America’s third-highest rated radio show which Premiere syndicates to over 400 affiliates across the country, a re-launched show hosted by Stu Burguiere and Pat Gray and audio simulcasts of TheBlaze TV shows. TheBlaze Radio Network can be heard starting later this month on iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free industry-leading digital radio service, TheBlaze.com and TheBlaze iPhone and iPad apps.

Jay Severin, hailed by NewsMax Magazine as one of America’s Top 25 Radio Hosts,  has served as host of nationally syndicated and regional radio programs including New York and Boston, for which he has been nominated for the Marconi Award for Top National Radio Major Market Personality. Severin has also been a political analyst with NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC and has appeared on  Fox News, CBS, ABC, Nightline, The John McLaughlin Show, PBS, CNN and NPR. He has authored Op-Ed articles for the New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Boston Globe.

The “Jay Severin Show” features a fresh irreverent take on political and culture issues of the moment without barriers and without fear. Dom Theodore, a radio industry veteran and consultant for The Glenn Beck Program as well as several stations across the country through his consulting firm RadioAnimal, LLC, will serve as Program Director of TheBlaze radio.

Joel Cheatwood, President and Chief Content Officer at TheBlaze said: “We are excited to continue making TheBlaze a destination for news, information and entertainment programming across multiple platforms. Jay is an incredible talent and is the perfect host to launch The Blaze Network.”

Severin said: “To really want to listen to someone, I insist they offer me a chance to Learn or Laugh, and ideally both. Every day on TheBlaze Radio Network, we will strive to give you both.”

Glenn’s radio co-hosts, Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere are expanding their renamed show (now called Pat and Stu) from one hour to two, and will be heard for free for the first time, exclusively on TheBlaze Radio Network. The duo previously hosted The 4th Hour.

TheBlaze now combines one of the world’s largest subscription streaming video networks, a website that generates over 9 million unique visitors per month, a radio network, a curated marketplace platform to help local small businesses reach consumers across the country and a monthly magazine.

TheBlaze Radio Network’s launch line-up is:

•         9am-Noon: The Glenn Beck Program
•         Noon-2: Pat and Stu
•         2-5: Jay Severin
•         5-6: Glenn Beck TV (simulcast of Glenn’s TV show)
•         6-7: Real News from the Blaze (simulcast of TV)

Glad to have my Severin afternoons back.

I’ve been listening to Severin for years here in Boston. I would have to define it as a love hate relationship at best. I’ve seen him come and go numerous times and so here we go again. Glen, I can only hope that you’ve had a long sit down with Jay and that he was expressly warned that the moment that he starts talking about all his sexual conquests with the all the women that he has hired to work for him and all the women that he has hired to…well, you know….that he is gone. I can not count the times I’ve reached for the dial when he starts talking with his d***. It’s nauseating. There is absolutely no place for this. It’s beyond inappropriate. He’s smart, he know’s his stuff, he has a huge following and I have no doubt will be a ratings success. But unfortunately he has this penchant for stepping on land mines and blowing himself up embarrassing himself and his employers. I wish him and you much success but forewarned is forearmed. Other than that, I have no strong feelings on the subject.

Will GBTV Plus members still get the shows as a podcast?  Will these other shows now be added to that podcast as well?

  • http://twitter.com/bretmcvey bretmcvey

That’s my biggest question.  I prefer not to listen to the stream. It’s much easier using a podcast client where I can download and listen on the go to the shows and to do so at a higher play rate (so much content… too little time).

    Glad
to see Jay has a new home. After 10 **Horn Sound** years of listening to Jay I
was getting withdrawal. Sure he’s been tossed around a bit, but it takes a
while to find your true home. I sure know where I will be weekdays from 2-5.
And Men have a propensity to speak with our…ahem…part sometimes. That’s what
    makes us Men!

    Excellent !
We’ve been deprived for too long, and there’s too much important stuff to do!

Glenn you have a problem.. your reputation is one of respecting people, respecting God and respecting the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If this man steps over the line into glorifying  sinful  behavior, you will loose a “good” part of your “faithful” following. I hope I am not one who will have to turn you off. I don’t know if I could separate YOU and YOUR show from allowing the other side in this case. We shall See. bless you.

As a charter member of Extreme Games, I’ve been bored out of my mind and thirsting for intellectual companionship while driving, not to mention being deeply annoyed by treasonous ownership, not once but twice.  Welcome to your new home Jay! Stay put a little longer this time…

Finally!!! Jay is back and just in time, the election coverage is nothing without Jay.

Thanks Glenn, here in Mass we’ve been missing Jay a lot.  He is one of the few bright spots out here.

I too was a long time fan of Jay but finally gave up because he stoops to picking on a person’s physical attributes rather than real issues.  More often than not it’s against a woman.  I am NO fan of Hillary but tired of hearing how big her rear is.  Lots of listeners have big rears too.

Hmm.. I guess I can give up the third hour of the Wilkow Majority (SiriusXM 125) to catch at least the first hour of Jay’s show:) It will be really nice to hear him again.

At some point I hope each can appear on the other host’s show for discussion and “perfectly executed political analysis”. I’d love to hear those two together.

Jay Severin!…I might have to start really, really thinking again…hopefully, he’s learned to tone down the nasty stuff…except for that, I always loved his program..

I’m thrilled to hear this will be Jay’s new home. He’s been missed these past couple of weeks!

I am with Phil DeJoseph. I have never listened to Severin but if he goes on about his d*** I will turn him off. There is a time in life when we grow up.

It is my intuition that Glenn is moving more into of an off stag producer and working on stream lining his on stage stuff. Glenn is building the stag for others. Taking his name or initials off GBTV was my first indicator. Less of Glenn more of others. I hope this works for him. I must be honest, I keep wondering when Glenn hits the wall. Great guy but how can anyone keep going at this speed? I hope and pray for him. Just my opinion.

  • DJ Eifert

Will you have to pay to listen or will it be free?

Looking forward to it. I was so pissed when 1200 a.m. changed formats. My spouse has been missing Jay as well.

That’s great! Now….when are you coming to Sirius XM so we can listen to you in our car when we don’t have internet? And how about Directv? My Roku box pooped out on me, but my internet speed is so inconsistent that about all it did was buffer anyway.

  • George

It’s the only way I listen.I don”t know but hope it will.

  • Alan Steacy

This is just awesome. Beck and The Blaze to the rescue…Severin back in the saddle again!

  • http://twitter.com/morphmandude Tyson

This is exactly what I am hoping, as an Aussie I can’t hear it live… well unless I listen in my sleep or just don’t sleep… anyway if you can stream it at a later time that can kinda work as long as that is doable on Android but they don’t have an android app unfortunately. It would also mean that I can listen to the Glenn Beck Program and Real New with The Blaze (which would be awesome considering I don’t find it easy to find a time stream the video)

  • Jake

Is I heart radio on Roku?

Thank you, thank you Glen for adding Jay Severin to your Radio line up.

Jay…my husband and I are soooo pleased that you are back! I have been
following your tweets…which have slightly helped fill the void. You
have such an excellent grasp of the political landscape and a keen
ability to enlighten folks on the issues…I absolutely love your mind
and how it works. It’s too bad some people can’t sift through the ‘d***
stuff’…it’s just part of who you are. I add my thanks to Glen Beck
    for bringing you on board.

I wish we could get an answer on Jay Severin podcasts.  They already podcast the Glenn Beck radio show, I would think it isn’t that much of a stretch to get Jay’s show added.  I don’t have the ability to listen live, but I would love to stay up to date via podcast.

Glad to hear Jay’s back on again — been listening to him since the 2000 election time, I remember the post election controversy and Jay covering that (even on the weekend, I my memory serves me correctly).

I agree on keeping it classy — I don’t care to hear about his carnal thoughts, just his political wisdom.

OMG he didn’t hire this bigoted racist did he.  He was on Talk Radio 96.9 here in Boston for what seemed like years.  I lost count of the number times this bigoted liar claimed he had graduated from Boston University’s School of Public Communication with a Masters Degree and  also lied about winning a Pulitzer Prize for Web journalism.  Aside from the lies about his credentials, I found his attitude towards people that called in on his show and disagreed with his view reprehensible at a minimum.  He would cut people off, disconnect people who disagreed with him and then make nasty comments about the caller, who had no recourse to defend his view.  He was suspended, reprimanded multiples times here at 96.9 for unbecoming, bigoted and downright nastiness and rudeness to his callers. I was glad they rid Boston of this narcissistic blow hard.  Now Beck has hired him, can not belief it.  This guy is the number one racist and bigot on US airwaves.  God save the Republic.
