Then is he just inept, a liar, dumb, un-patriotic and countless other expletives or is he just way over his head? In either case, your man in Washington doesn't belong there. But then again, You have job security while he is, no?

False premise: Obama's actions and words have never affirmed that ALL things flow from the government. This is an interpretation made in bad conscious as a transparent propaganda exageration. Neither is he marxist or socialist, nor muslim or maoist. That is exactly why you loose, because you are attacking a fiction only you people have allowed yourselves to believe. Around here we are all looking at 'ya going "whu?"

Wiki entry:

Hines and his wife, Florence, began assembling a list for friends of several hundred good restaurants around the country. The list became so popular that he began selling a paperback book, "Adventures in Good Eating" (1935), which highlighted restaurants and their featured dishes that Hines had personally enjoyed in locations across America.

One such listing in the 1939 edition read:

Corbin, KY. Sanders Court and Café
41 — Jct. with 25, 25 E. ½ Mi. N. of Corbin. Open all year except Xmas.
A very good place to stop en route to Cumberland Falls and the Great Smokies. Continuous 24-hour service. Sizzling steaks, fried chicken, country ham, hot biscuits. L. 50¢ to $1; D., 60¢ to $1

The thing that stands out to me is what's listed at the end. 73 years ago you would of been able to get a "very good" steak dinner at a 24 hour restaurant for the price of about what a stick of gum costs today.

Thanks for the stroll down Memory Lane, Glenn! I grew up during the 50's, and California was full of tiny towns then, with Highway 99 winding its' way through a good number of them. We kept the latest Duncan Hines book in the glove box of the car, and when we would "go for a drive" (the big family entertainment back then), while the rest of us looked out the window at the scenery my Mom would read the various descriptions and menus of upcoming cafes and restaurants until she and Dad decided where we'd stop. The cafes and restaurants always proudly displayed a decal on their front door, "Duncan Hines Approved", and we NEVER were disappointed!
Of course, times change (and usually not for the better). The Interstate saved time and allowed for faster speeds, although it bypassed most of the tiny towns. Eventually the annual Duncan Hines books disappeared; my Mom kept her last edition until it was creased and dog-eared, and most of the little cafes had closed their doors and were replaced by Denny's and McDonald's.
My Family has all Gone Home now, no doubt I'll be joining them soon. I just hope that when I get to the Pearly Gates there will be a big black Buick parked there, with all my family inside, and my Mom will be waving a BRAND NEW Duncan Hines book and telling me to hurry up so we'll miss the "Dinner Rush"!

There is no doubt how "thinking" Americans will vote in 42 days, the question is; how many thinkers still exist.
