Really? God is clear about what is right and what is wrong. You misunderstand. I say God will judge in the end but he tells us to judge here rightly as to what is right and wrong using his word. I don’t know where you got the idea that I think I am infallible. Far from it. That is why I rely on what God says rather than what feels right to me. Now if you don’t listen to what he says then how do you say you follow him. Yet there is forgiveness whith Christ. In him we are refreshed and renewed each day. Some people are comfortable in their sins and don’t want to change. As far as vanity and pride are concerned, I,like Paul, would say that even the faith I have is not of my own. I have been chosen and I am blessed beyond measure, not because of any worthiness in me, but what Christ did for me on the cross. By grace ye are saved…

You know well that is not what I meant. It is very different to stand with God than to use the idea of him to pretend to have infallible judgment towards others. The former requires humility, the later, well, only vanity and pride.

The key is the extent they ask for. If they want the bare necessities, truth is, the churches can and easily would provide that.

The truth is, they want to be able to sit in laziness, sloth, and vice, and get a check sent to them from the government, instead of being forced to humbly ask for charity.

It’s about the soul, not the money. Their arrogance, their inability to humbly ask for assistance.

Frankly, if the government is going to give welfare, it should at least get them to work for it. Heck with millions of able-bodied people on welfare, they government could get corporations to pay the welfare rates and give medical benefits in exchange for the employees working for them (it’d be essentially lower than minimum wage and bring a competitive advantage for factory work stateside).

That’d plug the costs quite well. The problem is just sending a check to people who are capable of work and not working. There is PLENTY of work to go around.

Thank You for taking the bait as I knew you would, as do all liberals. They cannot resist being the victim. Just because I said you were a whiner, does not mean you lack courage. I know people who whine constantly, but would still jump into a fight in a New York minute. It has nothing to do with guts, but with being responsible for your own actions which you do not. Like all liberals, you blame others for your short-comings ie blaming others because they have certain standards which may not agree with your lifestyle instead of maybe thinking that your lifestyle choice is wrong.
