I do hope those who suspected this charming individual of being a progressive, Can now rest assured in knowing they were right. Another disgrace to the American experience.....a freaking, lying liberal with a conscience of a rat, who thinks he is greater than the total sum of a human heart.

A concert in Ohio, Filled with all the greatest stars in the entertainment industry, All there for the sole purpose for the re- election of BHO. Really Mr. President? Wouldn't it make more sense to use that money go towards the unfortunate souls on the east coast?
Really Mr. Springsteen......your neighbors down the road from where you live are suffering and you're in Ohio to help re-elect the scourge of free men?

Anyone that thinks Barack Hussien Obama stands for the oppressed better look around you first before casting a vote that would give him another four years!

You missed my point altogether! Did you not remember what happened with monies sent to the unfortunate people from Katrina? It never got to them! I sent money. And thank you for calling me a sh'thed. There's class missing in all walks of life! Lady, you have no idea what I give to charity and I need not worry about what goes around comes around. I am grounded in faith and charity.

My point, to those missing it, is this: Give of your time and donate food but be careful who you send money to. I trust Glenn's Mercury Arts.

Years ago my husband left me with two boys to raise ages 2 and 4. NO extended family. I went to school and became a certified Firefighter/EMT. I lived week to week. My boys saw the Drs a lot due to chronic illnesses (Epilepsy and Asthma). Yes, we had insurance but still had a lot of co-pays to pay. Anyway, we lived hand-to mouth. I did not apply for it (even my church didn't know it) but some years we only had a special Thanksgiving or Christmas spread because my postman put our name in for the holiday box. I did not apply for food stamps, although I could have. I am a conservative, and I always thought that those less fortunate than me needed it more.

I live in FL and let me tell you, EVERY hurricane season I dreaded it, because I had no extra $$$ to buy water, xtra canned stuff, etc. Basically, there was always more week left than paycheck. It's been 29 years and I am now retired, and my boys are in their 30's and married. I can prepare now...but they can't as they are working several part-time jobs and don't make enough for xttra. One has a new baby with SERIOUS health issues.

Sure, there are some that could have and should have prepared. But you don't know .....there are oldsters in their 80's who stayed in their 11th floor apt. in Staten island because they had no extended family to help and no where to go and no xtra $$$ to allow them to go..There are also single parent families and other families that have had their jobs cut, or their health undercut and they don't have xtra either. I think that YOU are ONE COLD ***********!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PEOPLE are going through or have gone through. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHY they are going through what they are going through. Talk about MORAL...you are IMMORAL! And, I can guaranteed you this, what you cause to go around will come back to you, a hundred fold, you ******.

For those of you that DO care, you can send blankets, funds, etc. through your American Legion to the Legion halls in the affected areas. Also, Glen's charity is taking needed supplies there and you can always contribute. Joyce Meyer ministries, the Salvation Army, and the Southern Baptist convention are all helping also. Your local Fire Company is probably also helping to raise funds because several Volunteer Fire companies in NY and NJ lost their apparatus. And those companies are out there NOW, helping their own community even though they have also lost much. Are we a caring people or are we NOT? Let God be the judge and let us serve our fellow mankind.

It gets worse - apparently there is a NYC Department of Buildings that has a regulation requiring multi- resident buildings to have an auxiliary power system so the elevators can be operated. There were a lot of buildings - some government assisted housing for seniors - that were in excess of 12 stories tall which had no elevator service available even though code required it. I wonder how many people are going to be put on trial over this?

Basically, if you were a senior citizen in one of those buildings, you were trapped. If there had been a fire, the resulting loss of life could have been very tragic indeed. I think this storm will have repercussions long after the reconstruction phase of recovery.
