It's time. Hopefully, a block of states can petition together to secede from this now corrupt and failing union. Of course there will be sabre rattling and threats, but in the end, both sides will have roughly equal military strength, and both sides will realize that there will be irreparable damage if war is the result.

Let's secede in a block, taking our share of the debt, rewrite the constitution with a few tweaks, including passages that will guarantee that similar weaknesses will not encroach on our freedoms again, and start over.
We can do it. We can pay off our share of the debt, restrict our entitlements to state/local programs which will protect our national government from foreclosure, and become what our nation was originally meant to be.

It's time. Let's do it.

30 States? That is almost enough to call for a repeal of the 17th Amendment. (In short, the 17th Amendment made Senators answerable to special interest groups instead of their respective states legislators giving the States NO voice in the Federal Government.) If we can galvanize the peoples support for the repeal of the 17th Amendment we can give our States more autonomy to say NO to the Central Governments voracious consumption of our wealth.
We need 38 States for the repeal to pass. If you're tired and frustrated by the way the Federal Government is mismanaging our country than taking positive action in this regard will retard the Federal Governments insatiable hunger for more power at the peoples expense.
Call or write your Senators. Ask your friends and neighbors to call or write their Senators. Create a movement that the Nation cannot ignore. Making U.S. Senators answerable to your State is what the Founding Fathers intended and the next best thing to secession.

Of course you realize that America is NOT a DEMOCRACY. We're a Republic, and there is a huge difference between the two. I would strongly urge you to do some research and find out why democracy is NOT a good form of government.

Here's a hint: Democracies ALWAYS end up failing, and dissolving into dictatorships and tyranny ... usually on the way to socialism and communism.

This dick-tator in the White House HAS done plenty to destroy America, and that's his plan. So I'm hopeful that you and all of the other Obama Oompa Loompas are happy with what you get over the next four years.

I'm glad their are other people that see the federal government for what it is. But let us remind ourselves that we the people were the ones that let our country slip from what the framers tried to ready us for and it is we the people and only the people collectively can get it back together not as the media manipulation polarized liberals vs conservatives corporate america we need americans to pull together and be f**king american together for once and fight for the country they all want to be the government has breed us to be polarized in government so that we wont work together and we wont get anything done its a game to let us slide into the agenda of the guys upstairs comfily all nice and occupied with our war desensitizing video games that we let our children play and the media that justifies war all over the world but would never allow it to happen on their own soil ever again because if people saw how horrible war really is and im not talking go to someone elses land that you know nothing about and blow them away I mean watch your neighbors house being blown away by rockets and your friends children lying died on the sidewalk and overflowing sewage and failed electricity...that would be the war we would see and we would probably think a little longer about it before we decided to go destroy someone else's lives for their natural resources like the iraq war. The people will wake to this net that has been tossed ever so sneakily over our heads and we will remedy the situation but it hasn't gotten bad enough yet were still sitting fat and lazy and accomodated in a consumer network spree of random nick nacks but once we realize weve been spending paper with no inherent value for the past 5 years only because were too afraid to tackle our economic issues with progressive resolutions well do something about it but like I said we are too comfortable in our capitalist society to care for now but the important thing is that when we finally redesign this obviously rigged government we have we must come up with a new type of economic system because in a capitalistic society people like the morgans, rockefellers, vanderbilts and carnegies will always exist so we must move on to a better system and it is up to we the people to design that system and polish off the frames of our country that have been poorly unkempt of.

I have a question. What is the truth about the executive order implementing martial law and the taking of food and supplies from a private home.

Bonnie, you just don't get it. You think that the government is what makes you free? What CEO's can tell you how to live? If you ever listened to them or felt like if you resisted buying their product, somehow you might be put in jail, that never happened prior to Obamacare. Now, HE is the CEO of the car company on earth. HE is forcing us to buy a consumer product, whether we want it or not, and he can enforce putting us in jail now that it has been raised to a veritable criminal offense. Don't believe it? He claimed it was constitutional because it is NOT a tax. The Supreme Court declared it a tax and allowed it to go on even though this type of taxation is not legal. Don't believe anything will happen to you if you don't pay for the insurance required? He hired 16,000 new IRS agents whose only job is to enforce Obamacare. Why the IRS you might ask? Who else is allowed to seize property, confiscate the contents of financial accounts and ruthlessly enforce laws that no one person on earth knows in their entirety? The IRS is government mafiosi and couldn't care less whether their actions are legal or not. They know they can count on the government to defend ANY action they take. By the way, bartering WAS a great way to approach business. Then, the government figured out that they weren't getting a cut of every transaction. The bartering system IS legal....so long as you're willing and ready to pay a steep punitive tax while exercising that right. You would be far better served by changing your attitude. Instead of revolutionary militancy based on stupidity and ignorance, you could say...., get an education, become the CEO of a small business, employ others, giving them greater economic freedom. It's never going to happen though, is it. You're one of those who believes that everyone else owes you for having graced the earth with your presence. You're a taker, not a contributor, and until you figure that out you will ALWAYS remain below those who believe that they possess the power to control their own lives. You have embraced the idiocy of the left, believing that by surrendering your own (and others you have no right to speak for) freedom to the mindless behemoth that is the federal and state governments, somehow you are...free. I can get the same sensation and results just by handcuffing myself to a ticking bomb.

remember when our "dear leader" said "we'll reward our friends and punish our enemies?"

well you just gave them a new list of people...even the founding fathers had enough sense not to invite the british to their meetings...there are few places to hide nowadays, especially on the internet...unfortunately most leave a trail a mile wide.
