Wow! I knew little about Glen beck before I saw him appear on direct tv. He and eliot spritzer were debating key issues (before the election). I was shocked because I usually lean towards the left but after the debate I felt moved by Beck’s performance. He was so open and passionate about his conservative ideology and seemed to truly mean what he said. Proclaiming the main issue we face is media biases that are driving an irreversible wedge between the two parties. If both citizens and government couldn’t talk in a rational way about party differences then it would lead to our demise. Both Spitzer and Beck have contrasting beliefs on nearly every issue, yet they had an intelligent rational debate in which I learned more than watching all 3 presidential debates combined. After watching that I felt hopeful, if these 2 polar opposite men could discuss rationally, without yelling/name calling/ect and find common ground then it is possible for parties to work together or at least start a healthy dialog. Curious I searched for more info on Beck…and this radio/television show came up. I was saddened by what I heard. The Glen at the debate…the one that seemed so authentic when he expressed our need for media reform was spewing the exact same idiotic trash he was condemning others for. Needless to say I was disappointed. If both the left and right media continue to ignore discussing real issues on their show, and instead entertain their listeners by spewing a string of dirty words to describe the party/government official they are crusading against. Forcing each party to become more and more extreme thus narrowing the chance of an adult conversation. Why???? I really don’t understand? I believe both parties have useful aspects that are necessary to make American prosperous. But this incessant high school bickering has to stop. It only serves to dumb down the American public by boiling down the topic to the lowest common denominator instead of addressing real issues. Does it really convince people that Obama’s a dipshit because he had a friendly 2 second conversation with a reporter? Does it really discredit Romney as a potential candidate because he made the binders full of woman comment that was blown out of proportion by Sharpton/Maddow strictly to entertain their audience? Jesus these are representatives of each side’s news commentators?
Sorry for the rant, but based on your calm/intelligent and very persuasive arguments you presented on direct tv debate I was caught off guard when hearing the actual content of your show.
I’m sure a bunch of angry comments from his listeners will follow mine. And it’s inappropriate of me to comment but I’m just fed up with both parties.

You are absolutely right. The media has created a monster through their praise and worship, He just can’t believe that anyone would disagree with him, that there are differing opinions than his, unless they are racially motivated. The national media is so blinded by his charisma that thye don;t think he can do anything wrong. And if he does, he is right and everyone else is wrong. Theose who oppose him are just petty little poeple who want to expose that the “emporer has no clothes.” They would rather see him “naked” and “lie to him” rather than expose him. But thoughout history, a day of reconing eventually comes. I jist hope we can survive as a nation until then.

Thank you for your reply and I hope you are right. I guess I have become jaded to the politics of the day. I believe the reason for our President’s re-election lies in the fact that there was no real challenge to Obama from the Christian community. I think the only real hope for America lies in the hands of Christians being unitied. We need to know who is on the L:ord’s side. We are so divided on doctrinal issue today that it is very difficult to get believers to focus on unity.

Does anyone with a sane mind think for one minute that this guy in the wh will be held accountable for what happened in Benghazi with the murders of 4 dedicated, honorable men. The corrupt chicago machine will never let that happen.
