Russia knows better than anyone how bad America collapsing would be. They might not want us to be a superpower, but they don’t want us to collapse, either. When the Soviet Union collapsed, we started Megatons to Megawatts to prevent their scientists from going rogue. Who will hire our nuclear scientists to prevent them from going rogue? For that matter, what will Russia do to prevent Americans from getting into arms trafficking? Americans have more small arms than several major armies combined. The Russians may sound like they’re gloating, but in reality, they’re terrified of an American collapse.

Uhm, 50 years ago, they didn’t even reach half the country, lol. And the problem is that they are not trending at all, whether downward or upward. The ratings simply haven’t changed by any significant degree for nightly news.

Also, NBC/CBS/ABC are not private enterprises, not in the least. They are run by very public corporations. NBC/Universal owns NBC, and NBC/Universal is jointly owned by both Comcast and GE. Disney owns ABC. Viacom owns CBS. These are all publicly traded companies that can be partially owned by anyone.

And there’s no way to control the news market? Au contraire, that is what liberals and Democrats have been doing for the last several decades now. It is actually very naive for you to make the claim that there is no way to control the news market. Of course, you can. Democrats and liberals have it down to a science, lol. We just need to push it more in our favor.

What percentage of the population did they reach 50 years ago…
They are trending downward.
You can’t control the media.
Yes, start alternative networks and sources…
but how do you propose “taking back” a private enterprise.

The news market is very splintered now. There’s no way to control it. You can only influence it.

Just finished reading Glen Beck’s rantings regarding his article that appeared in “his so-called “rag” paper “The Blaze” (the name of the paper says a lot of what it’s future should be) I definitely resent being referred to as Illerate or a “communist” (as we are called). This man (?} feels that he is a God, since he is “worshipped” by so many. We are to worship only one God, where is this lunitic coming from? Voted as I did for the reason that it was and is my right to do so, as anyone else ihas their rights to vote as they please. So sorry the repubs are such as they are and cannot handle the loss. Deal with it and go on with your life. It is what it is!!! Live with it.

No they’re not. They are FAR from dying, lol. People didn’t really watch the nightly news on NBC/CBS/ABC to begin with, so how exactly is that news going downhill? When no one watches you to begin with, they have nothing to go downhill on, lol.

Also, maybe they are watched by 24 million per night if you take the big 3 combined. I highly doubt that, though. By the way, since 300 million people have access to them, they actually reach a LOT more than 30% of the public, too.

We need to take back EVERYTHING, including and especially the nightly news. Without the media, fighting the schools and the churches will be a losing battle.

For entertainment shows their, ratings are doing fine.
For Nightly News, it’s going downhill.
Looks like it’s about 24 million per night.

So, at best, they are reaching 30 percent of the public with their slanted news.
The problem aren’t with people who watch the news.
The problem is with apathetic people that are most influenced by hollywood and how they were trained in school to interpret the news.
Winning the education battle is 100 times more important.
Taking back the churches is 100 times more important.

The network nightly news shows ARE DYING.

planet, how are the rating of ABC/CBS/NBC in the tank? Nielsen doesn’t even show that. Only station there actually struggling as far as ratings are concerned is NBC, and that’s to be expected of them because they’ve been struggling for years. ABC and CBS, however, haven’t really changed much as far as ratings are concerned.

Actually, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News reach about a third of the country, you know. Let’s not forget about the internet here, which literally everyone has access to at one point or another.
