Glenn, tens of thousands of patriots, gather Restoring Love

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

2012 was perhaps the biggest election year in our lifetime – but not for the reasons most would assume. While there was universal agreement among conservatives and republicans that Barack Obama must be defeated, that wasn’t the most important thing that needed to be addressed. Glenn has talked repeatedly over the course of the year about how the problem isn’t limited to just democrats or republicans – it’s the entire government as a whole. It’s grown far too massive in size and scope and we’ve allowed ourselves to fall into the trap that when we see a problem we assume someone else will take care of it. The problem, of course, is that ‘someone else’ has turned into the federal government. So what’s the the best way – even better than defeating Obama – to stop the onslaught of a nanny state government? Love. It’s as simple as that. Instead of waiting for the government to go help the elderly person across the street – you do it. Instead of wondering if that homeless person has something to eat – give them some food. Glenn challenged the audience to descend in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium, participate in the largest day of service in history, and then gather at the stadium to make a statement to the world. The people showed up in amazing numbers, as the video and the pictures will attest to, and Glenn gave one of the most amazing speeches you’ll see anywhere – not to mention great musical performances from Matt Maher, Kari Jobe and others.

I am a Man
Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV
Labor Secretary Hilda Solis stirred controversy after her department proposed controversial labor laws aimed at America’s farms. The new regulations would severely restrict what work teenagers could do around the family farm – and as any farmer knows it’s a family business. This regulation is typical of what the Obama administration has done so far, but for Glenn this particular one proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. He unleashed arguably his most passionate monologue of the year during which he declared “I am a man and I demand to be treated as a man. I make my own choices and I live with the consequences of those choices. I do not answer to the federal government. That’s not how it works” he argued. Glenn called this just another attempt by the government to ‘co-parent’ that will only serve to rob youngsters of valuable life lessons. This monologue was classic Glenn Beck at his best – speaking truth from the heart.
Glenn calls out Chief Justice Roberts for upholding Obamacare

In a year full of shocking news stories, nothing took America closer to fundamental transformation more than the Supreme Court of the United States upholding Obamacare as constitutional. By referring to the individual mandate as a tax, the so-called “conservative” Chief Justice Roberts cemented the cornerstone of Obama’s progressive first term agenda as law. Glenn was shocked – but rather than wallow in despair, Glenn rode out that night on a horse (seriously), brandishing a sword and warned the “Coward” Justice Roberts and the President that they had woken a sleeping giant in America. Just a few days later, Glenn took the extreme step of actually demonstrating, on a live pretend human being, what medicine will look like under Obamacare in the near future. The country may be heading for trouble next year as Obamacare begins to be implemented, but you can always count on Glenn to find a way to keep entertaining in the worse possible  situations.

Islamic Extremism Rising

When the media blindly cheered the Arab Spring without any warnings whatsoever, Glenn was a lone voice in the media raising questions. His reward for simply stating the obvious was, as usual, a round of arrogant mockery from the establishment media. In the nearly 2 years since the uprising began in the Middle East Glenn has been proven more right than wrong. TheBlaze released two stunning documentaries, Rumors of War 3 and The Project, both featured in-depth analysis of radical Islamic movements, the progress they’re making and what their plans are for the future.
The prime example of Islamic extremism rising in 2012 without a doubt was the Sept 11 terrorist attack in Benghazi that took the lives of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American serviceman. Despite the attack being clearly orchestrated by an organized terror group, the Obama administration made the case (and stuck to it repeatedly) that an anti-Islamic video is what sparked the violence. Later it was found the video had virtually no views before the 9/11 attack, debunking that theory once and for all. Glenn had a more plausible theory, one which was backed up by several others in the media — but despite the embarrassing & inconsistent response by the administration, Benghazi (shamefully) never became a damaging issue during the election. Only recently have State Department officials stepped down from their positions due to their grossly inadequate response to the deadly attacks. Glenn’s emotional interview with the father of one of the former Navy Seals who died in the attack was extremely powerful and gave insight to how the administration bungled the response.
Islamic extremism on the rise was a major story in 2012 and TheBlaze’s coverage was 2nd to none.

In 2011, Glenn signed off from cable news with a promise: The left would beg for the days when he was only on at 5pm ET. In 2012, Glenn more than made good on that promise as TheBlaze grew into a new media empire. In January, TheBlaze TV, added the news and opinion show Real News, hosted by Amy Holmes with regular appearances by Buck Sexton, S.E. Cupp, Will Cain and Andrew Wilkow. In July, Andrew Wilkow broke off into his own show, rounding out a primetime lineup ready to deliver the truth the mainstream media refused to tell the American people. In October, Glenn announced that he was launching TheBlaze Radio Network, an online streaming radio network that would not only feature his daily audio and television shows, it would also be the exclusive home of Marconi award winning radio host Jay Severin. Meanwhile, TheBlaze.com broke traffic records on their news and information website and shows no sign of slowing down as they continue to expand their editorial staff and expose the biggest stories that matter to you.

So, why have we decided to make the incredible growth of TheBlaze into a multi-platform, multimedia network one of the top Glenn moments of the year? Well, today’s top moment came on November 7th, the day AFTER the 2012 Presidential election. That morning, Glenn took to the radio show without Pat and Stu for a one-on-one conversation with the American people. He started off the show with the inspiring story of how Thomas Paine came to write the famous phrase: Though the flame of liberty may sometimes cease to shine, the coal can never expire. Shortly after that, Glenn came back with a POWERFUL monologue promising that he would double down his efforts after the election. He announced plans to add more programming and to turn TheBlaze into an even more formidable force that would make the mainstream media shake with fear.
“We are going to provide courage and inspiration and truth. We will expose and we will lift up. We will not tear down,” he promised.
Within a few short weeks, Glenn announced that he was partnering with Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, and others to produce a new reality show for TheBlaze TV that would find the best undiscovered American investigative journalists and filmmakers. The new show, The Pursuit of The Truth, will will bring together twenty selected filmmakers from across the country to prove to a panel of expert judges that their project is worthy of the grand prize – financing and worldwide distribution for their feature documentary film idea.
What does Glenn have planned next for TheBlaze? We can’t say what’s next, but with all the big ideas he told us before he left for the holidays – you can bet that they will end up on 2013’s “Top Glenn Moments” countdown!

Hello America,

I think a lot of people today can sympathize with Charlie Brown in the opening scene of the American TV classic A Charlie Brown Christmas when he admitted that, although the Christmas season had arrived, he was depressed. One look at the news and that state of mind is quite understandable: riots broke out at a mall & a man was shot over the release of new Michael Jordan retro sneakers; police armed with riot gear were needed to break up a fight at a youth football game in California; free condom dispensers are being placed at Philadelphia high schools for the holidays; and of course none of us can shake the unimaginable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary. It’s tough to digest six-year-old children being so violently robbed of their chance to live a full life, and the scars the survivors will carry with them for the rest of their life.

These stories and infinite others like them pummel our sense of “merriment” into submission, leaving us dazed & confused about the world surrounding us. Why did this happen? How could it happen? Where’s God in all of this? Shouldn’t He be doing some serious smiting or something? I wish I had the answer the how’s and the why’s, but I am not I’m not going to pretend to have all the answers. I know we have free will & I know evil exists – but why does something like the Sandy Hook tragedy happen? Simply stated: I do not know.

But let me share with you what I do know: while we live in a fallen world, there is hope. Not a hollow ‘things will get better’ promise based on nothing in particular; but real, true hope. The ultimate proof is the very reason we celebrate Christmas: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
That is the real meaning of Christmas. The message many Christians complain is lost in an onslaught of the winter solstice, holiday trees, stuff, Santa and yet more stuff. And that’s true, but I’ll take it a step further – and this is where non-Christians, atheists, Muslims, Jews, Wiccans and everyone in between can come together: the real meaning of Christmas isn’t just about the baby Jesus. It’s also what we do with the knowledge of the Christmas story.

Making sure our National Nativity Defense Force is vigorously patrolling manger scenes all across America and bickering with atheists shouldn’t be the extent of our Christianity. We should instead be on the lookout for those in need: the poor, the needy, widows, orphans, loners, the rejected, the suffering, the lost, the angry, the depressed, neighbors, strangers, brothers, sisters, co-workers, friends, and yes even enemies. And we should help and love them because God first loved us. Just doing that alone will shine a giant spotlight of hope into a dark world.

When Charlie Brown’s cast for his Christmas play had lost sight of the real meaning of Christmas, Linus stepped up to the stage and recited this from Luke:

“‘And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill towards men.'”

The message of hope caused the gang to have a change of heart and start loving instead of complaining. My prayer this Christmas is for more people everywhere, believers and non-believers, to be inspired by the Christmas story and the love God showed His people, and for them to pass that love on to others.

Laus Deo,

Christmas with the Becks

With it being Christmas Eve and all, it seemed liked the appropriate time to look at some of the best moments that Glenn spent with his family in 2012. For the past few years, Glenn hasn’t been able to bring you as close to his family as he would have liked – but that all changed in 2012. For the first time ever, Glenn brought viewers into his home in Dallas, TX for a special night of music, stories, and fun as the Beck family celebrated Christmas with some of their closest friends and a few special guests. Glenn, Tania, and their daughter Cheyenne showed people how to makeGlenn’s famous Coma Hot Chocolate – WARNING: Do not drink this while eating turkey or you will NEVER wake up! The Beck’s were joined by several music artists, including composer Clyde Bawden, Freddie Ashby, Michelle Moyer, and Donnie Osmond. They performed classic Christmas songs like “The First Noel”, “Joy to the World”, and more! But the best part of the show was definitely eight-year-old Raphe Beck’s production of the Christmas Story! There were kids of all ages, goats, donkeys, costumes and some pretty spectacular music. Raphe definitely inherited his dad’s ability to put on an amazing show; let’s just hope he’s able to avoid the whole “I-can’t-stop-eating-chocolate-during Christmas” genes.

Glenn’s daughter Hannah got married (and Glenn’s rental car got wrecked!)

2012 saw another milestone in the Beck family: Glenn’s daughter Hannah got married! In early October, the Beck family was surrounded by some of their closest friends and family in upstate New York for a small, beautiful ceremony in a renovated barn along Seneca Lake. The evening was full of music, dancing, fireworks, tears (come on, it’s Glenn!), but most of all, LOVE! Glenn even shared some of the wedding photos with the audience when he got back. Unfortunately for Glenn, not everything made it back in one piece. After the wedding, Glenn dropped the family off and parked the rental car at his cabin at the top of a very muddy hill. It didn’t take long for the car to start sliding – and quickly ROLLING – all the way to the bottom of the hill. He told the story and shared some of the photos on GlennBeck.com WATCH.

Glenn dissed by AMERICAN AIRLINES

If you thought businesses could put aside partisan differences in order to treat their paying customers with equality, you thought wrong. Glenn made the fateful decision to fly from NYC to Dallas with American Airlines and it turned out to be a gigantic mistake. The staff aboard the plane were deliberately combative with Glenn and his family to the point of ridiculousness. The attendant was polite and friendly with other customers but noticeably changed his tune when serving Glenn. He became rude and abrupt, even forcefully slamming down his drink on the tray when being served beverages during the flight. Glenn lambasted the experience on radio and TV, vowing to never fly the airline again. The company responded by saying they were investigating the situation. Just another day in the life of a conservative in a world filled with tolerant, loving liberals.

Libs freakout over Obama in PeePee
The left in America believe they have the market cornered when it comes to the art world. So, it probably royally hacked them off when Glenn Beck was named one of the top 100 most influential in the art world recently. Glenn put his new ‘player in the art world’ credibility to the test in 2012 when he unveiled his first masterpiece: Obama in Pee Pee.  Some might say it was just an Obama action figure in a jar of liquid that wasn’t actually urine, but those people just don’t know art. The inspiration for the piece was a recent work that had made news – Obama as Jesus. That picture portrayed Obama positioned as Jesus dying on the cross, and wearing a crown of thorns. Liberals predictably were outraged over ‘Obama in Pee Pee’ and were blind to their hypocritical defense of various artwork that mocks Jesus. Glenn put Obama in Pee Pee up for charity auction and it ended up selling for $13,000.

But the best part of Obama in Pee Pee was the interview Glenn had with the artist of the Obama as Jesus picture.  As a liberal, he was convinced Glenn was going to try to humiliate and smear him, but ended up being shocked that Glenn was so… fair. He later admitted that he had just believed the short clips liberals use in an attempt to smear Glenn.  Shockingly, the truth was far different than what the MSM presents.

Check out photos of all of Glenn’s AMAZING art work!
