No assault weapon was used in the Sandy Hook Elementary school. It's not surprising that the Obama administration, Democrats and the press are not telling the whole truth.  It did not meet their agenda. There is an old adage, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Last week, the media tried  to convince us that support for Senator Feinstein’s anti-gun legislation on assault weapons, especially the AR-15 type.   Legislation will pass as written even though they have not read it.  But now that word is out the press, and Democrats look like fools and liars. The guns are not the problem, it is people. And the people who are committing the crimes are sane. Gun control only disarms those who are not committing crimes, leaving them defenseless. In this can be found the biggest difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals don't like something and they do everything in their power to make laws to ban whatever they don't agree with, including the suppression of free speech.
