Yup. In fact, another one of those mini ice ages is expected to begin sooner than later. Many experts have talked about it for a while now. In fact, with the drop we have actually seen in surface temperatures the last few years, we are likely in the beginning stages of a mini ice age. Some have said we are even overdue for a major ice age. However, according to geologic time tables, a major ice age isn’t really for a while yet.

Doesn’t matter how bad the outcome might be. I doubt it’s going to be anywhere near how bad it was when the Vikings colonized Greenland a mere thousand years ago. Back then, there was quite possibly no ice around the North Pole whatsoever. We have still yet to see the temperatures rise to those seen during the Medieval Warm Period.
