Misfit Ball: Rick Santorum, Mia Love, and Dana Loesch encourage conservatives to start finding solutions themselves

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Most people in politics get stuck with the label of snake oil salesmen, but there are a few in the political sphere who are trying to do some good. Glenn invited some individuals who are trying to do some good in politics outside of the beltway to the Misfit Ball to talk about personal responsibility and real solutions found at home. Rick Santorum, Mia Love, Dana Loesch, Foster Friess and Dr. Dave Janda, all discussed the importance of finding ways to effect change outside of Washington D.C. and without the help of the federal government. Check it out the discussion in the clip above!

In your own heart.  In your own family.  In your own town. In your owns state.  No more edicts from the Nero from on high.  This garbage has gone on long enough.  Our constitution shows us what we need to know and our gut tells us who the subprime court, dictitorial ‘presider and crooked lawmakers are that steal from us.

We know what most of the problems are, now we find solutions. Even if the difference is just to help one person in your area of the world.

Several of the senior citizens here where I live no longer can easily get to the store; what began as me going to the store once a day for them, now has grown to a half-dozen of us aiding the seniors and disabled (the fully disabled who cannot get there on their own), and any who are sick with the flu or such.

We got news last week that the local Wal-mart will be providing  goods via a local non-profit set up by local produce sellers who come to this place. Thus we have gained more by the first works and continuing on. In time we can make a major difference at least in our little corner of the world.

If you have no idea how to make a difference, pray to God for guidance and let Him show you to where you can be of most help.

Rick Santorum did not look pleased at being called a snake oil salesman. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Santorum at Restoring Love. Of all the notables in attendance, Mr. Santorum was the only one (that I know of) who bothered to mingle in the crowd. The man came outside in the parking lot and shook hands with the crowds. If he was flanked by security, you’d never have noticed it. No men in suits, ear pieces and reflective sunglasses following him. He was as real as a man can be. No pretense, no arrogance, no entourage. It was impressive and I will never forget it. He is a good man.

Sorry, I believe that Santorum carries a lot of responsibility for the Republicans defeat, he was very nasty in a lot of his comments to Romney, he didn’t support him when he was the candidate.  Santorum behaved badly during the campaign, he was whinny, petulant and always finding blame, he talked about birth control, religion, he took the party off in the wrong path, don’t like the man.

I do not believe that the righteous in America are in charge anymore…I do believe that we are too stupid and maybe indifferent and selfish enough not to give a damn as long as we can have our sports, porno, and alcohol.

The church is dead in America, the civic responsibility of it’s citizenry is corrupt and the madness is being pooled, by both the right and the radical progressives. We have squandered what so many brave and honorable people  have fought and died for , because they realized something: That if they wanted to have the freedom to watch their sports and live the day to day life we have all fallen asleep in then they needed to pay for it with their blood…or at least their time…

To quote an old war cry: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country…We need those in power to organize us so that we can either sucede this no longer american territory or go to war and divide it all up, because that is the only option at this point…The congress and Senate are powerless…The military is overrun by men who are not or have not been willing to make the hard call of treason as did our forefathers against King George.

God Please help us to be willing if these good men come to the aid of their country or what’s left of it…
    Signed,
Disgrunted,  Gun toting, Bible clinging, 51 year old white guy

And furthermore, if the country never recovers Jesus will someday come and have a perfect government…That is my ultimate hope, not a more perfect republican party…They are done in my opinion as well.

Santorum was running against Romney in the primary. The problem was that the Republican Primary was entirely too long. We did essentially defeat ourselves with the long primary. I agree that our candidates came across as divided due to this process. I don’t blame Santorum for this, but the Republican establishment.

As for abortion and religion, it wasn’t Santorum who made these issues the focal point of the campaign. Obama, the democrats, and the liberal media designed a “war on women” to keep abortion front and center throughout the campaign. Their goal was to scare women into believing that people like Santorum and Romney would take away their rights to contraception and freedom of choice because of their religious affiliations.

As conservative voters, we are extremely punitive with our candidates. We demand a kind of perfection in our candidates that the democrat voter simply does not. We raise the bar so high that no candidiate can come close to satisfying us. Democrats don’t think this way or expect this high standard from their candidates. They just care if the candidates will offer them entitlements.

In addition, the democrats and progressives control the media and thus the argument. They act and we react. We appear to be in the weaker position in the eyes of the uninformed American voter because we are constantly allowing the mainstream media to control the argument.

Why does the bottom of the license plate on the president’s limo at the inauguration read: “Taxation without representation”?  I was watching on Fox News and they showed the plate as the Obamas were climbing in.

Two reasons Romney didn’t win.  One, BO had plenty of cheaters for him and Two, Romney isn’t a true conservative and true republicans couldn’t support him.  I voted for Romney because he was the lesser of two evils and would have rather had Romney than BO.  Last time I will do that I will vote my heart and will vote for who I feel we really need not second best.

The main reason we have so little confidence in Congress is … it’s not fighting effectively.   Our sympathetic, conservative congressmen have got to learn to be media savvy in a Breitbartian way.  Know your stuff and WALK TOWARD THEM.

Santorum is a RINO, he was a moderate on fiscal issues as a Senator, voted for No Child Left Behind and Medicare Part D. Glenn should have had Senator DeMint instead. He is lying in this video when he claims he’s a small gov’t guy. The only candidates who would have really slashed the size of government in 2012 were Bachmann and Paul, and both were unelectable. I hope we get some decent candidates in 2016.

Glen – if you read this, I think we should start a movement to fly our Flag upside down on President’s day. We truly are a nation in distress!!

Who are the cheaters who wher working for Obama?

  • Draxx

    Very well stated again liltexasgal…

They control the media and More Importantly the FCC who issues Licenses.  They control who can get one and who cannot many times, and thus limiting the opposition media.  They will give out a few (so that the Perception looks like the Constitution is not being violated) and then slander & deprivate those that oppose them to weaken their viewer base.  But, we need to somehow find the resources to start more Libertarian & Conservative Media Stations.  That way even those that think Glenn Beck is a negative person (which I do not), will find another Reliable Source of Information that does not follow the Propagadist & Anti-American Politicians…

I believe this would help our cause more than trying to Silence Them, which is Against Our Constitution, and they would only use that Tactic to Completely Silence Everyone.  After That Precedence of silencing the media is set, then people like Glenn’s Team will be the first attacked… Quote Me, “No Thank-You! I Do Not Want To Be Silenced!!!”

As a Progressive/Liberal, I am pleased to inform you that the church will not be going anywhere any time soon! :) It’s too useful a tool to keep people in line! We will, however, continue to allow militant atheism to assault it so that you have some kind of fight to wage while we crush the American Dream! :D

  • Anonymous

The church is not dead, and cannot be, because God is not dead. We are not stupid. We see what is happening. But we have been lazy, complacent, and we still are. We are lukewarm. We have been squandering what we have, and it is ebbing away…before our eyes. We have also been allowing others to do our jobs, and some of them (GOP) have become more interested in feathering their own nests, and political inertia has taken over. Frankly, all our efforts will come to nothing without the key missing ingredient:  a Christian Spiritual Revival.  Nothing else will do.  Period.

A regular Algoungin Roundtable complete without any sense of irony. How pathetic for Beck and Loesch to claim they do not know who to trust on the right or left. When your stock in trade is vitriol, kinda hard to claim lack of trust don’t you think?Rick Santorum looking for something, anything to do with his time these days? Beck proclaiming he did not listen to the Innaugural address as if that is some kind of badge of honor, to what the Know Nothing Society? Do we not as Americans have a duty to ourselves to listen even if we are in complete disagreement with the President?

Outside the coccoon of GBTV and the other professional opinion maker class hangouts, most Americans are moving forward with their businesses; we do not have time to sit around and act depressed. Average Americans who are faith based, or who are independent thinkers or involved in their communities are doing things on their own initiative and have been for years. The mayor who made the library a reality without government funding is just one example. I suspect that all of the people who comment on this website know this for a fact and do not need  the narcissistic Beck to guide them. Independence, initiative, self sufficiency are not conservative or liberal ideals.  They are humanistic virtues and are American ideals.  This is not news is it?

Beck and GBTV does not focus on success stories enough because fear sells better than success.

No doubt that GB is a Misfit. Except for the symbiotic relationship among the attendees there, why anyone else would want to call themselves a Misfit with him is a bit puzzling.

A perfect example of what has gone on in this country and will continue to go on in this country no matter who is elected President, or Senator or mayor; time honored values that are witnessed every day and are implemented even among the next generation. Everyone should look around their communities, see the existing good, acknowledge what needs to be done and get involved. Charity begins at home, or next door, or down the street. It is neither conservative nor liberal. many blessings on your continued efforts!

You did not need GB’s call on this issue; no one does. GB and the rest of the talking heads do not focus on these stories because doing good does not perpetrate the doomsday myth nor continue the narrative that the fall of America is all the fault of Barack Obama and the Democrats. To the contrary, the rise of America is in each of our hands. Each day is an opportunity.

But I hope the extremists do run in 2016. Rand Paul? Who opposes choice and the civil rights act? Good luck getting women and minorities to vote for him. The democrats will take even more control.

Santorum and Romney were perfectly fine representing themselves as being anti-woman in many ways. The entire Republican party, with comments about “legitimate rape”, demonizing Planned Parenthood, and opposing a woman’s fundamental right to control her own body, the country saw that the Republicans really were fighting a war on women. Don’t blame the news for reporting what your candidates said.
Progressives control the media? What’s the most popular cable news channel? Fox. You think they’re progressive Democrats?

  • Anonymous

LOL. And I guess Fox isn’t part of the news media? Well, they might be right about that one.

One ding dong said legitimate rape.  No one else backed the statement.  If one doesnt believe in abortion, planned parenthood, which is a misnomer, doesnt believe in parenthood, they believe and were founded on the idea that the only good black baby was a dead black baby.  The founder was well known for her view that aborting blacks was the way to get rid of them.  They have expanded it mostly to minotities(that is why 90% of them are in poor areas.  A woman has the right to control her own body…say no.  But she has no right to kill another, the baby.  Now with new scans, people can actually see that babys are fully formed at 8 weeks and have a total nervous system, they feel pain.  I’ve seen babys fight the knife and soundlessly scream as they are cut up in pieces.  There is no war against women, there is a war agains killing babys.  There is no difference if you kill a baby at 3 months or 5 years.  No one even suggested taking away womens right to birth control or abstinance.  But once pregnant, she is now responsible to care and nurture that baby,  To feed it, protect it and not to do anything to harm the baby.  BTW fetus means baby

Romney is not anti-gay or anti-women, I didn’t agree with Santorum, however the person that is the white house is a inept playboy who was voted back because of freaks like you, and the rest of us will have to suffer for the next 4 years, but Obama is in for a surprise, he will not be able to do what he thinks he can and in two more years we will have the house and the sentate, he will be a lame duck.

If you think No Child Left Behind is caring for children, you are not a genuine conservative. You are a moderate, a centrist, perhaps even a leftist.

Opposes choice? Almost every Republican in the US Congress is pro-life.

  • http://www.facebook.com/william.vining.3 William Vining

In your opinion. The Constitution says nothing al all about any such requirment. As fr as “kill the baby”, the COTUS clearly states that in order to be cosidered a person under the COTUS, you must be “naturally born or naturalized” (14th Amendment). It provides no rights for fetuses, but it does provide that an individual has a right to pursue their own destiiny as long as they do so legally. Conservatives are saying they support that right for men, but not for women. And that is why you lost this election and will continue to do so as long as you advocate that The State has a right to deny rights to women because your particular religous views must be imposed on them by The State. Until the GOP jettison’s the whole pro-lifr agenda, they are toast.  It is not a political issue, it is a moral issue, it creates a contradiiction in conservatiives, where they claim to be against The Government interfering in a person’s life, but then demand The Governent be empowered to police what is going on with people’s sex organs.  As long as this contradiction remains, you will lose the majority vote of women and a lot f libertaroan votes as well, to the Democrats, and you will gain exactly zero votes because the demographic changes taking place in the country favor the pro-choice view.
