This new round of taxation is designed to punish those who have the ideas that drive our entrepreneurial spirit. New innovations are the lifeblood of the American free enterprise system. We are watching as taxation seeks to control the working class to support the non-worker, Obama has no desire to create jobs and increase productivity because that makes for less people needing the government handout programs and less people controlled by the government. Can we not see this is an attempt at enslaving people to the government.

When people who are successful speak out about the truth of this confiscatory act on wealth, they are heard. But because they are, they must be silenced. They fall into the "ungrateful" category, the "intolerant" category, and the "uncaring" category and face reprisals from their "sponsors," their "government," and their "acquaintances", In order to not be exposed to ridicule, they have to backtrack on their thoughts and publicly apologize for criticizing the oppressive nature of our President and the present government.

If the average citizen makes these statements they feel no threat from. Most of the opposition to these statements come from those who are not willing to put in the work necessary to allow them to excel at something. Many of them would rather be on the government programs and do nothing, than to work and produce something. So the more jobs that the government can destroy, the more people need them to "solve" the problems plaguing America.

But the government's fear is an informed citizenry that is the source of their power. We may get enough of their high handedness and in the next election cycle, vote for the change that we needed in 2012. Wake up silent majority. Let your thoughts be heard. We are needed now!!!!

When they do something like that go public about it as well so as to draw more attention to them for the threat.

"Considering 70 percent of Americans were impacted by the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts"

More misinformation from Glenn Beck. 1% were impacted by the expiration of the top rates, over $250,000/year. The 70% number was the end of the temporary, Obama prompted cut in the SS tax rate.

How come Beck's followers don't catch these parades of factual errors that come out of Beck's mouth/website? Maybe they want to believe more than what is healthy.

Phil has the right to live anywhere he wants! He will probably move to a state where there is no state income tax, such asTexas and Florida. Many other athletes and self employed persons have done the same and who can blame them????

It is ridiculous to apologize for telling the truth, but it is safer to just do what your thinking about and not advertise it ahead of times these days and let them wonder.

Seems to be the play of the day...these days. Someone in the lens says something that they feel.....the thin-skins stir up a fracas....and then the apology tour starts. I'm not happy with the taxes I pay so that they can spend it like a.....like a.......well....a politician. I couldn't imagine having to give up 60%. I don't care HOW MUCH MONEY I MAKE.

Mickelson was just expressing his displeasure of the new CA tax system. Most of America has been doing this for the last several decades. Nothing new here. The feds are not helping, either. He probably could buy a small island somewhere and build a fortress and retire. I wouldn't blame him, more and more hard working Americans are becoming frustrated with the high progressive taxes that assure 'more free stuff' and bigger government. No wonder the Tea Party is so popular. Phil, you need to follow Beck to Texas.

the government steals this money. they pocket it. they like to say that they "invest" it, but a good amount of it is pocketed. they hide it in "initiatives" and "projects" -- it's pocketed. a good amount of it goes to unconstitutional foreign entities, etc.
