Could the cheapness in design of this cruise ship be at fault, Even if the ship have one propeller drive shaft or two ,should be at least two separate engine rooms ,with a engine in each to turn the propeller shaft to make it to safe port also generate enough electric power to run entire ship matter what happens to the other engine in another room ,failure,fire or flooded !! We don’t have a complete failure if a air liner lose a engine or two just completely fall out the sky ,they have a safety redundancy with 2,3,4 engines that make up for the loss power of engine failure and the aircraft can make a safe landing closest airport!!

Very good point. But to get a straight answer from them you would have to get them to speak in a very private setting. Then they will tell you: they believe in population control, just not THEIR population…

Any sea going ship flagged in another country must be U.S. inspected and approved for navigation, power, generator and fresh water evaporator redundancy. U.S. inspectors failed or were paid off and didn’t warn passengers in this case.

It seems like Carnival has a lot of problems. This isn’t the first time they have had trouble on a cruise. I think I would look for another cruise line before taking one with Carnival. Just my opinion. They apparently need to check all their ships for problems–not just this one.

When I heard him talking about the pocket knife yesterday, it reminded me of a song written and performed by William Elliott Whitmore called “Hard Times.”

I may be a little more partial to it because he’s my second cousin and in the first verse he speaks of his grandma’s grandpa, who was also my grandma’s grandpa. Anyway, it’s a good song and a good artist, I thought it would be worth posting.

Blame it on the cruise ship for what happened.People today will panic when lives are interupted
and people not be and Glenn is right they will probably sue because their material rich and spiritually poor.I wish people would come together instead of going into chaos mode.Your not going to make it better by doing that.But I too am convinced there was someone on that ship that tried to keep people together.Go and find them BLAZE and then report it.I’d like to hear about it.Thanks for listening.
