I have always had problems with those that move into a state that makes the right stands and yet has the gall to demand that we change to the very system that they had moved away from. Yes, I went to college for two years, then had to leave.  Being on my own and having to support myself didn’t leave me much time to finish my formal education.  Maybe that is why as a conservative, I resent having 30 percent of my paycheck taken in taxes to support liberal welfare leeches.  And I am sure that I make mistakes, but I sure don’t have to resort to profanity, do it?  What is your excuse?

The fact that I’ve seen students in the past few years convert to Conservative views has given me hope.  A couple of them that I got to be friends with to start with were really dyed-in-the-wool Liberals and then we’d get to talking.  They too bought off on what most of the professors were saying about FOX being completely biased and to “not watch them.”  But I’d just challenge them by saying that if they were as open-minded as they professed to be, they’d watch FOX for a week (or even just a few nights) and especially Hannity.  Then compare what FOX was reporting to any of the so-called Main Stream Media outlets.  One of them took me up on it when there was all the coverage  on the Tea Party and MSM not reporting on them.  She came back to me a few weeks later and said “I can’t believe how much information I’ve been missing by not watching FOX!  I’ve never felt so informed before.”  Another friend took me up on my challenge and got to watching around the start of Fast n’ Furious.  Similar response from him.  Yet a third was last semester and the reporting on Benghazi.  Again, same conversion.  The first one I mentioned has become a real champion for Conservative thought.  Then there are the typical arguments over historical policies such as Keynesian monetary policies and how everytime it’s been tried it has failed.  Yet everytime Capitalist theories have been enforced our economy has come back stronger.  We were using the Great Depression, the Carter years, Clinton, and now Obama compared to the small gov’t, conservative stances of Coolidge and Reagan as examples.  What has really surprised me is that all of my Economics Professors have agreed that the Keynesian model doesn’t/hasn’t worked either.  It may sound good on paper but when put in practice it has failed.  Just my two cents worth.

I definitely understand not being able to finish school because of funding. Education should not just be for those who can afford it. I am seriously thinking of moving because I am sick of Portland (I know, yikes). The mayor is Bloomberg-like and the state is broke. My parents live in SD and I drive there twice a year and enjoy WY. I stayed in Casper last summer and am going to drive back again once the roads clear, and probably stay in Sheridan if I go I-90. I do love Wyoming. It’s beautiful.

You need to get your facts straight.  Beck was not fired, he left of his own volition because he felt he could better serve his viewers by having his own platform.  He talked about it for several months before leaving FOX and he explained it was due to a (sort of) epiphany he had.   As for the Rabbis, he befriended a great many of them and had their respect.  What’s more, I never heard one anti-semitic remark uttered by Glenn Beck.  And I always made it a point to watch him while he was on FOX.  Unfortunately, when he started up the Blaze and his own program, I was unable (and still am) to subscribe.  Otherwise I would.  Glenn really has his finger on the pulse of our Nation’s history and it’s great leaders and spokespersons.  He understands the evil that is the force behind Soros and others like Soros.  At least he isn’t afraid to speak up about it and do his best to expose their lies, deceit, and hidden agendas.

America is a land of diversity and as we have proven in the last two presidential elections the people of this country refuse to bend to the demands of the Republikan Party any longer. We are a progressive people and our society refuses to be restrained by backward thinking conservatives who want to oppress the rest of us with their personal values. Wyoming is a bit slow and behind the times, which is understandable due to the fact that most residents are uneducated and have rarely been outside the borders of their state. But eventually progressiveness will win out even in this dismal state as all the old Republikans such as Hans Hunt die out. Republikans are losing. Progressives are winning. And that’s just the way life is.
