I think Beck and Obama satisfy the definition. Yeah, Beck says do your own research, but he knows that 90 % of his listeners do not bother; and of the 10 % who do, very few challenge him on his breezy treatment of incovenient facts. That whole self deprecating act is just that--in my opinion--Beck suffers no lack of self confidence or doubt. I offered an opinion about Beck's psychology in that post, based on the statements he has made, the programs he has produced and the exhortations to his crowd. I did not make anything up; you may offer an opinion about Obama, Bloomberg or whomever the progressive target du jour head is on the Glenn beck web page stake on a given day. My opinion is that Beck views himself as an evolving/changeling libertarian/religious prophet/messiah.  He plays that role daily--all you have to do is read the adulation that is expressed on these pages to know that it is working.
