Do you think the mandatory tithing model of the Old
Testament impersonalized donations to ‘widows and orphans”? If poverty is added
to the current social-justice donation list, do
you think the needy become more detached, indifferent and entitled when
receiving from government or a church institution rather that a person? Do you
think the Rabbis distributing the tithes were more prone to aloofness and the
doners more robbed of mission?

The New Testament charity and compassion model is
exemplified by the Samaritan who takes personal risk, uses his own time and
money, follows up to ensure he alone assumes financial liability, assures the
victim can manage on his own and rejects notoriety and applause. Luke 10:25-37

Being not for socialism or communism does not prevent it.
Obeying Jesus does.

It is the devil's way to divide. "People of Light", as GB says, must unite. By all means, ask honest questions and challenge those in positions of leadership, but we should not pit one against another, those who are striving to live a peaceful and caring life. For me, Christ Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Peace.

We have no original Aramaic text. What we have is a Greek text, in which Simon (Peter) is called Petros, meaning "a stone or small rock." Jesus is referred to as Petra, meaning a "cliff or large boulder." Jesus is the Rock upon which the Church is built.

My point of castration was sarcasm for a practice that has no immediate purpose. If you must have unmarried priests and they cannot control their passions, then castration would make them "COLOSSAL FOSSILS WITH DOSSAL TASSELS". No urge.

No that was not my point. My point is that when you have a celibacy culture, it attracts those kind of people and gives them cover. Perhaps the original purpose of celibacy was to keep more money in the church. After all when a priest dies he would leave his money to the church would he not? An unmarried priest would not require more money to care for his family, another savings for the church. But we will see if this new pope who they say cares so much for the poor is willing to sell off the vast property of the church and give that money to feed the poor.

People did not have Bibles in the time. Until the printing press, they would only afford a handwitten copy of it. The Bible was also in latin. 1 Timothy 2:4-5 There is only one mediator between God and man and that person is Jesus Christ. What could be more plain?

This new and improved Pope, has nothing to do with "giving Catholicism new life" no, its more like, what weak American government officials do and have done (or not done) since World War II, especially, concerning how weak and short sighted our foreign affairs have been over the past several decades and how these political clueless conduct their ongoing surrender to the Europeans, that of, being the last superpower on the earth...wait a minute...our American leadership have practically built Europe into the worlds new and only, super-fortress left upon the face of the earth, leaving America far behind scratching its head. How much more can we do for you Europe, before you completely cash-in and assume sol-responsibility of coming world events? Shall we speed up our departure in a more hurried withdrawal from the Middle East and the African continent, leaving you the primary benefactor of our hard fought military endeavors? What else can be gifted to your purse at the expense of the American tax-payer? How about our military bases currently scattered over Europe, stockpiled with a deadly American arsenal of atomic thermal-nuclear-weapons? - yes, now we're talking....

Even though numbers are increasing, at the present time, there's only a tiny fraction of our population who know how powerful Europe has become, primarily, at the expense of our delirious foreign policy stupidity.

What I will say, concerning the latest man to reside the Beast of Papacy, he will be successful in his endeavor of reuniting the Catholic Church the world over. This in turn will result in the European Union realizing the power that has suddenly landed in their lap and further more, through the crux of Catholicism , a uniting of the continent will be the end result. This union of nations will not be the lifesaving-peacemakers that they claim themselves to be. In Fact - bible prophecy clearly states, that this coming union of European nations, is known to God as the prophesied BEAST, found in the book of Revelation.

Not so long ago, America, along with its allies, fought and defeated this very same beast two times in the last century - now, today, all that hard earned victory is but a distant memory. What makes me sick to the core, is, not only has America helped bring this destructive power back to the fray of a world power, our clueless officials are persuading our European lovers to fill the vacuum, when the United States forfeits its world obligations and responsibilities. What makes me even sicker to the core of my being, is that the greater majority of our citizens will not believe this truth, but would rather believe a lie, of course the pontifical abundance of lies has been abundant for the past 2000 years, resulting in Christianity being led astray, so why would anything be different today?
