What are the consequences of a “no” vote on Syria?

If the President hears “no” from Congress on intervention in Syria, what happens next? Last night, the Real News panel examined that very question.

    The consequences are simple:

    1. Obama will probably order strikes on Syria via cruise missile pinpricks
    2. Obama will order more boots-on-the-ground than are already there
    3. He will engineer some terror action and the evidence to ensure Assad is blamed
    4. He will continue to fund, arm, train and support the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda
    5. He will seek to expand the war into a regional conflict
    6. He will force a domestic political crisis over Syria, the debt-ceiling, Obama-care, sequestration and as many other things as he can.

In the end, if he goes on his own, we have a great chance of it becoming a regional war and then a global war between us and Russia/China. Obama is insane and needs to be impeached.

No matter what, Obama wants his war, and watch for something to happen over the weekend with fabricated evidence linking the move to Assad.

Let’s first concentrate on getting Congress to vote NO!

Obama can be defeated on the Syria vote, just like he was beat on the gun-grabbing vote, so now is the time to contact Congress by calling, writing, emailing or hitting the street to protest.

Obama has just announced that on Tuesday he’s going to address the nation and make his case for an attack on Syria, but no matter for Obama is already a lame duck president who is desperately quacking for war to deflect public attention away from all of his impeachable crimes, e.g. Benghazi, fast and furious, NSA spy-gate, Obamacare, the looming deficit, et al..

It’s a political game playing out very obviously to anyone paying attention. For him (Obama) and McCain and others of their ilk the human lives involved are chess pieces being used to push influence. And the level of dishonesty in the discourse is so prevalent that the whole of it is a farce, and a spit in the face of the American public. They can’t even be honest about Al Qaeda’s involvement on the side of the rebels. Worse still, it’s becoming more and more obvious that there was extensive weapons transfers from the rebels of Libya to the rebels of Syria following the oust of Gaddafi – and that the attack on the embassy was related to those weapons running operations – and that the policy surrounding the issue, from the non-intervention on behalf of the embassy’s residents to the lack of security to begin with – were deliberate in the hopes of keeping the operation as secret as possible.

Lives have been lost in the name of promoting Islamic extremism in the Middle East and North Africa on a GRAND scale. My question and the question on every American’s lips concerning this should be “Why?”. Why would a large number of American and European politicians, representing globalist super-wealthy elites, *want* Islamic extremists controlling these oil producing Muslim countries??? Does this not seem a deliberate attempt to foment anti-Western/anti-Israeli sentiment? Why wouldn’t they want the opposite? Why not support the obviously otherwise (relatively) West-friendly, relatively secular governments that were/are already in place?

Assad > Al Qaeda, doesn’t he?

There will be NO consequences for Obama either way.
He knows that even if you don’t.  He went off and played
golf after announcing his Syrian plan.  Does that tell
you something?  The House will not vote. Obama’s
behind needs to be covered and all the pols will
march in lock step to see that happens.
Obama is history’s new Louis XIV-”I am the State”
The elites want constant war–they make money,
wield power and diminish the US.  Just up Obama’s alley.

Perhaps attacking Syria is like poking the hornets nest long enough to bring about a bigger regional war. Then the borders can be redrawn by special interests, new dynasties formed and oil under the control of new dictators. Plus there is always the added advantage of reducing the population under the survival threshold of 2 billion globally. Remember a good big war reduces populations and brings about cultural revival after. Just need something to kick start it. Just check your history books.

B.O. has talked himself into a real sticky wicket, regardless of his spin to blaming others.

IF he attacks Syria, it will probably not do as much damage as he had planned(?) because

they have known our strategy for awhile and can counter it, somewhat.  And it will inflame the

Islamist terrorists even more (as if they need any ”help” on that!)  OR, if he doesn’t go in after

all the talk and big show, he will be deemed even weaker and an ineffective leader by the rest

of the world, esp. our perceived enemies.  What to do, what to do?

Probably hanging out with the conservatives from the MSM.

I agree!!! Especially with WWIII between Russia and their allies and the US and our allies! Meanwhile, a civil war continues to brew within the USA with all the hate crimes going on here. The End is Near…it’s Very Near!!!!!!!

R/S, wonder just how many will be tuned in to hear the words of The One?  As many

as those who heard his 2nd inaugural speech in Jan.?

Really, warner?   You come here to sell?  An inappropriate post at this site.

  • http://thefriendcenter.com/ Average Joe.

I said this when this first began, Obama will do nothing. The leftists won’t allow any kind of action against Syria.  He will blame it all on the Republicans but it’s the leftists who won’t vote for this.

  • http://thefriendcenter.com/ Average Joe.

Obama will delay this and eventually he will do nothing.  He’s all mouth.  He tried to blame this on Bush but that didn’t work for the leftist talking heads.

  • Take 2

How would have Senator Barack Obama Voted?   Truth or Lie?

  • soybomb315

Well if Obama does nothing, then i will celebrate.  I will remember how during the primary all those republican candidates, with the exception of Ron Paul, wanted more action against Syria and Iran. I will reflect on how bad it could have been.

I would rather Obama be OUR problem instead of the world’s problem.

The truth eventually reveals itself. Shame on the US war machine that markets war by lying to the world. Go ask the real Syrian people, regardless of their religion, and they will tell you the truth – all the bloodshed including the chemical attack is being funded by the US and its allies.
For a long time I have silently watched the US government create situations and excuses to get public support to justify wars, killing people in other countries. But this time the US has stooped to an All Time Low – funding and sponsoring terror through mercenaries and even Al-Qaida in Syria. The US war marketing and PR department thought that the world and good hearted American citizens would eventually ask the US to ‘save’ Syria seeing all the bloodshed (not knowing that it is their own US government that is paying mercenaries from all over to go fight against a government whose only crime is that they are not US puppets).
The US machine doesn’t care about world peace or democracy, which is exemplified by their willingness to pay the so called ‘rebels’ to kill regular non-military Syrian people  in hopes to gain world support to ‘fix’ the situation. Yes, the rebels who are fighting the Assad government are not a concerned Syrian citizen militia, but are US, Saudi, UAE and British paid & recruited mercenaries made up of Al-Qaida and other groups on the world’s terrorist watch list. But this time when the tried and tested US war machine’s marketing and advertising strategy did not result in public support for war, they dialed it up by using chemical weapons against innocent Syrian people, mainly women and children, and framing the Assad government for it. Go research it for yourself and let me know if you find any signs let alone proof that it was the Assad government that used chemical weapons against its own people. This is the same bogus case used before – remember the WMDs, that have yet to be found in Iraq, but were used to sell the nation that they posed a threat to US national security. Face it people, this tactic is in a playbook and has been successfully used many times to scam the warm hearted American citizens to approve of similar regime change wars – Iraq, Afghanistan, and recently the military coup in Egypt (where the so called democracy loving US government paid off military generals to overthrow a democratically elected President).
WAKE UP AND THINK FOR YOURSELF – don’t let the government use your hard earned money to kill innocent civilians. I’m not saying that you should stop paying taxes, but at least know that your taxes are being used  to execute innocent women and children.
