On the heels of reports that CBS is gearing up for a new Bible-themed TV comedy titled, “Living Biblically,” there’s another faith-based, small-screen project in the works — a show that plans to reimagine popular Bible stories in the modern era.

The program, called “The Scroll,” will reportedly retell these stories through a group of colleagues and friends who are living in the modern era and who are essentially contemporary versions of Bible characters, Deadline reported earlier this month.

“The Scroll” will be a joint project from Flavor Unit Television, a company owned by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere, and Relevé Entertainment, which was started by Holly Carter, the outlet noted.
