According to Mashable, eBay analyzed 2013-2014 shopping habits to find the top 500 brands purchased by residents of each state. New survey shows how Americans really feel about participation trophies

Christian business owners forced to pay large fine after refusing to host gay wedding ceremony
Earlier this summer, Glenn reported the plight of a Colorado bakery after its owner refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple citing religious beliefs. A judge ruled the owner must “cease and desist from discriminating” against same-sex couples – despite his religious beliefs – or pay fines. Now, a New York family is facing a similar issue. Captain Ron Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol said the protest crowds in Ferguson, Missouri were “smaller” and dissipated “earlier” on Tuesday despite the dozens of arrests. Hopefully, Tuesday represents a pivot point for the violence, but, as TheBlaze reports, new videos show radical communist revolutionaries from the likes of New York and Chicago have made their way to Ferguson to ratchet up rhetoric. Reports: Officer who shot Michael Brown suffered ‘orbital blowout fracture to eye socket’
Last week, Ferguson Chief of Police Tom Jackson told KMOV’s Laura Hettiger the officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown on August 9 “was hit” and the “side of his face was swollen” in the moments leading up to the shooting. The Gateway Pundit is now saying it learned “from a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police” that the officer suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket” during his confrontation with Brown. Missouri Governor: Release of surveillance video ‘besmirched’ Michael Brown’s character
On Friday, authorities in Ferguson, Missouri released surveillance camera video from the convenience store that was robbed just moments before the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. Many, including Brown’s family, have expressed outrage over the police’s decision to release the video. Al Gore sues Al Jazeera
A year and a half after selling Current TV to Al Jazeera for some $500 million, former vice president Al Gore is now suing the Qatar-based media group. According to The New York Times, Gore is accusing Al Jazeera of fraud and breach of contract after it failed to turn over “tens of millions of dollars” still owed to the selling shareholders of Current TV.
