ISIL. ISIS. IS. DAISH. You have probably heard each one of those acronyms at least once over the last several months as the media attempts to determine the best way to refer to the terror group that declared a caliphate spanning Syria and Iraq. ISIS stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, while ISIL is the acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
