Candidate Calculator
Stu found a website that claims
to help you figure out which
candidate to vote for in 2008.
By simply answering yes, no or
unsure to if you support an
issue, the site calculates who
you agree with the most and who
you disagree with the most. Stu
did the test and Fred Thompson
came out on top. Dan did the
test and Mitt Romney came in
first place. Glenn took the test
and his top candidate
was---quite honestly---a tad
surprising. See Glenn's results
here.

Mike Huckabee
Before you go and take your
results from the candidate
calculator straight to the
voting booth with you, be sure
to take into consideration that,
as part of his interview with
Glenn today, former Arkansas
Governor Mike Huckabee also was
subjected to the candidate
calculator. Mostly, Glenn asked
the questions to get our
audience familiar with one of
the candidates on the rise in
the race for the 2008 GOP
nomination, but it also served
as a validity test for the
candidate calculator itself. Who
did the computer say Mike
Huckabee should vote for? (Hint:
According to the test, Huckabee
agrees with himself 71% of the
time). View Huckabee's
results.

Misdirection in the Media
While the media is focusing on
the 'General Betrayus' MoveOn
debacle and the Rush Limbaugh
fake controversy, the government
is busy doing other things.
Perhaps that is why Senate
Majority leader Harry Reid is
busy drafting letters to CEO's
of companies instead of talking
about what's really going on.
What is really going on? Oh,
just the usual in government.
Representative John Dingell from
Michigan, is proposing a
solution to the imminent threat
that is global warming. The
solution is---to raise taxes.
Yup, that's some more big
thinking from the folks in
Washington, D.C. Once again they
believe that the best way to
solve a problem is by raising
taxes. Glenn lays out how the
global warming issue has turned
into nothing more than an
attempt at socialism. The money
raised from the taxes wouldn't
go toward helping global
warming---Glenn shows you where
it will be dumped into instead.

'Ebbed'
Glenn was reading the New York
Times and noticed a peculiar
headline: "Iraqi
Violence Ebbed"
last month. That leads one to
believe it's a minor change. It
was actually a 50% decline in
civilian deaths in the last
month. If unemployment goes up
by .5% and the Times would
announce something like 'there's
a crisis in the Bush
administration!'---but a 50%
drop in civilian deaths is just
ebbing?
