On Today's Program

Sovereignty at Stake?

It falls into the slippery slope category, and we are getting dangerously close to the edge --- our government is looking at a case that could threaten our national sovereignty. The Supreme Court had a hearing today talking about the case involving an illegal immigrant (dirtbag murderer Jose Medellin) who was convicted of murder - however he was never in contact with the Mexican government. Under the Vienna Convention (signed in 1963) The United States must inform foreign nationals of their right to speak to their nation's consuls. Glenn and author Jerry Corsi show that if the Supreme Court rules against Texas, that could lead to international law actually being held above United States law. Sounds pleasant, doesn't it?

Also, Congressman Ted Poe (TX) attended today's hearing on the case and called Glenn immediately after getting out to discuss what the judges thought about the issue.

Fred---not so much

He wasn't horrible, but he needed to be stellar to make up for lost ground. Romney and Giuliani stole the show last night as they clearly looked like the two candidates with the most depth on the issues. Romney was near flawless again (except for the 'attorney' answer) and Giuliani had some great comebacks, especially the one where he said 'I don't think it's a bad idea to have a Republican presidential candidate who actually has beat President Clinton at something.' What did Glenn think?

Iran not a threat?

According to Ron Paul, anyway. Earlier this week his annoying supporters flooded talk radio with calls trying to portray mass support for Ron Paul, and challenging Glenn to have Ron Paul on the program. If you missed Glenn's challenge back to the Ron Paul supporters, read the transcript of it
here.

After that episode, we decided to pay close attention to him last night at the GOP debate. He pretty much lost Glenn and every other conservative in the universe when he said that is was 'preposterous' to believe Iran poses a threat to the United States. Hope you enjoyed your campaign while it lasted, Ronnie.
