On Today's Program
Bull-SCHIP
SCHIP, the program created by
Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton,
is basically a national plan
that covers health care for
children in families who make
too much to qualify for medicaid
but can't afford private health
insurance. Democrats want to
double the qualifying family
income from $42,000 to $83,000.
Why is this a bad idea? Well,
for starters, some of the same
people who qualify for SCHIP
(under the proposed new version)
would also qualify for the AMT
(alternative minimum
tax)---which is a tax on the
wealthy that makes sure they pay
their 'fair share'. So the same
people the government considers
wealthy would also qualify for
program designed to assist those
who 'can't afford private health
insurance'. Department of Health
and Human Services Secretary
Mike Leavitt joined Glenn to
explain.

Global Tax
The United Nations is trying
their best to figure out a way
to get some giant global tax
instituted. As Senator Inhofe
said on today's radio program
'almost every bad thing that
happens in America comes from
the UN'. That is what the Law of
the Sea Treaty would be---BAD.
According to Inhofe, the Law of
The Sea Treaty would seek to set
up a governing body, and the
International Seabed Authority
would give them the power to
levy a global tax. This is what
the UN wants, people---global
tax and global government. It's
what liberals want, too. Glenn's
interview with Senator Inhofe...Read

Burnin' up
At a bonfire service marking the
second anniversary of Pope John
Paul II's passing, a photo of
the fire was taken that showed
the likeness of the popular
Pope. Somewhat of a pet peeve
for Glenn would be the whole
'likeness' craze---somehow, it
just seems like God wouldn't
bother burning images of Mary
into grilled cheese sandwiches,
He may have better things to do.

and check out the side by side
photograph, and decide for
yourself if God is using his
time to send Pope John Paul II
to campfires so he can wave at
people. (Insiders

Win lotto, lose husband
It's one of those stories that
just has no good people in it.
None of them are particularly
evil, just a bit greedy and
vengeful. Here's the rundown:
Husband having an affair behind
wife's back. Wife knows about
it. Wife wins $28 million
lottery. Wife doesn't tell
husband and proceeds to file for
quick divorce. Day after divorce
wife cashes in. Years later,
stranger helps husband get $14
million from wife. Stu sees
brilliant opportunism by the
stranger, while Glenn sees
everyone as slimy in this story.
What do you think?

Rush raking it in for the
troops
Rush Limbaugh is auctioning off
the laughable smear letter that
Harry Reid sent to Clear Channel
(signed by 41 United States
Senators) which basically urged
some sort of action to be taken
against Mr. Limbaugh. The bids
are pouring in and it's already
over $50,000. Rush is personally
matching the winning bid and
proceeds go directly to the
people Democrats don't seem to
care too much about these days,
our troops (Marine Corps -- Law
Enforcement Foundation). Check
out the auction
here.
