On Today's Program
Dead Man Walking
John Coleman is a meteorologist
and weatherman from San Diego
who has been in the field for 55
years -- and he is also the
founder of The Weather Channel.
You get the picture, the guy is
a poster child for credibility.
That's likely all about to
change for the veteran
meteorologist because he decided
to take on the machinery that is
the Global Warming activist
movement. After posting
this blog
(that was picked up by Drudge)
calling global warming 'the
greatest scam in history'
Coleman has received tons of
positive email response. This
was, however, his first big
'outing' of himself as a global
warming skeptic, so let the
countdown begin to the attempts
at discrediting him. John talked
with Glenn about his sudden
moment in the national
spotlight.

And for more "inconvenient
facts" on global warming that
you just won't get any place
else, check out Glenn's new
book:
An Inconvenient Book.
In Chapter 1: Global Warming,
Storming and Conforming Glenn
confronts many of the lies and
distortion surrounding the
global warming debate. For
example, how many times have you
heard that carbon dioxide is
responsible for huge natural
disasters that have killed
millions of people? The truth
is, it's actually the other way
around: as CO2 has increased,
deaths from extreme weather have
decreased.
Lions for Lambs
This Robert Redford movie is
apparently more boring than the
Horse Whisperer (a three plus
hour snore fest in which Redford
talks to a horse), because
absolutely no one went to see
it. That has Hollywood execs
scratching their heads because
the movie has some serious star
power in Tom Cruise, Meryl
Streep and Robert Redford. So
what could be the possible
culprit? Hollywood is leaning
towards blaming Tom Cruise, but
Glenn points out the obvious
(obvious to everyone besides
Hollywood execs) reason: the
film's anti-war message. Not
only do American's not want to
hear anti-war messages, they do
not want to hear messages,
period. Show us some lasers,
bikini's and explosions and that
will be all, thanks.

tossing Tom Cruise under the

Momma McCain
Most American's were surprised
to learn this weekend that the
not-getting-any-younger Senator
McCain's mom is still around,
which is always good news to
hear. The bad news is that
Senator McCain thought it was a
good idea to have his 95 year
old mom hit the national TV
interview scene. Quick math
formula: 95 year old
mother+talking politics=disaster
waiting to happen. That formula
once again proved true as Momma
McCain starting sounding off
about Mitt Romney and Mormonism.
Glenn reflects on the positives
of the interview mishap --- that
the interviewer mercifully did
not ask about Barack Obama's
campaign. That could have been
ugly. Watch McCain's mom
here
then read Glenn's comments about
McCain, and old people,
here.

You might be a Redneck if...
The most successful stand up
comedian of all time took time
out of his busy schedule to chat
with Glenn about many things
including how he managed to
write yet another volume of his
redneck dictionary (Jeff
Foxworthy's Redneck Dictionary
III: Learning to Talk More
Gooder Fastly ).
Glenn is fascinated by how Jeff
is so successful, yet critics
and the Hollywood elites on the
coasts pretend the guy doesn't
exist. Perhaps it's because Jeff
is one of those weird freaks
that married a woman in 1985 ---
and (gasp!) has stayed married
to her the entire time!
