GLENN: Has anybody been watching all of this stuff from the you know, on the polar bear and watching the coverage on it and how, especially local television is covering this to the point where you’re like, okay, wait a minute, hold it just a second. Polar bear has gone from 5,000 to 25,000! This is all once again just based on the sea ice, if the sea ice happens to disappear over the next century. If the sea ice disappears, the polar bear’s habitat will be threatened, which means the polar bear will have a hard time living. You know why? Because they’re too slow and too fat to catch their food. That’s why. Why do polar bears live on the edge of the sea ice? Because they’re too fat and too slow to catch their food in any other way than seeing a seal jump in the water. They jump in the water quickly before the seal can swim away and they kill it.

What about Darwin? How about Darwin? I guess they are too slow and too fat to catch their food. So why don’t we just let them starve? Because maybe there should be a faster polar bear. Maybe they would breed faster polar bears. Aren’t we screwing up evolution, I mean really? We’re not allowing the Godless system of the universe to mutate in ways that would create a superpolar bear! Either that, or we could just send people back up to the Arctic circle to club baby seals and then feed them to the polar bears because we all know polar bears are nice, cute, cuddly. They like seals and Coca Cola.

You know, I talked to the secretary of the interior last night and he said to me, "Glenn, there’s nothing we can do. We can’t I couldn’t say no. Legally I had no options left to me." I said, you know what you need to do? You need to put business on the endangered species list. We’ve got a group of people in Washington that are damn near running business out of this country. By the way, did you see yesterday? Congress passed a tax, a higher income tax on anybody who makes over $500,000 a year. Now, you might say, "Oh, well, those people who make $500,000 a year and above, geez, what doesn’t " the ones that that hits are usually the owners of S corporations. S corporations are small businesses. Small businesses are now having a higher income tax as promoted and passed by Nancy Pelosi and congress yesterday. Why did congress pass on this additional income tax? So they could extend unemployment benefits, even though the unemployment rate is still at 5%. Oh, they also, they also put the first, their first piece into a new GI bill. Just the first piece will cost $58 billion. The first piece. You know who turned on this? Blue dog Democrats. But in the end the blue dog Democrats said, "Oh, wait a minute, okay. So you will give a tax increase? Okay." This is their first sign that, yes, they will go ahead and they will put these new programs in as long as we can pay for them with taxes. And nobody’s going to notice that small little income tax raise on small businesses. No, you’re right. You’re right. You’re right. Nobody’s going to notice it, until the unemployment goes up in the country because small businesses can’t control the price of their products, they can’t control the cost of doing business anymore.

Why is it that Secretary Chertoff can’t build the fence on the border? You know why? Because there are too many environmental laws that he can’t get around. So congress had to suspend its own laws so we could build a border fence. They gave more power to Secretary Chertoff, an individual, than any other time in our nation’s history. No individual in our nation’s history has had more power conferred onto him than Secretary Chertoff. That happened when they had to suspend they gave him the right to disregard all of the laws that congress had built to protect the environment because Chertoff went before them and said, "I’ll never get this done." Yet, they expect us to be able to do business under the same laws congress can’t.

You know, it kills me. Mitch McConnell said Democrats get up every day with more things on their mind. They’ve got change on their mind. They want more regulation, more litigation and more taxes. We’re going to turn into France. That’s Mitch McConnell. Already the government will tell you that, oh, this isn’t going to cause litigation. Does anyone believe that? Is there anyone within the sound of my voice that believes that putting the polar bear on the threatened species act is not going to cause litigation? Lawyers were up all night having cake and champagne. It’s going to be a cottage industry. Already the World Wildlife Federation has come out and they’ve said that they’re going to go for threatened species for salmon. You better eat salmon while you can. Moose. Have you ever been up in the Northeast? It’s riddled with moose or meese, mooses. Lots of moose. They are going after moose, salmon, I believe there’s a species of trout they are going to go for now appeared all linked to global warming. This is fantastic! This is great! We’ve figured it out!
