Netanyahu UN Speech

Hugo Chavez on Fox News

GLENN: I want you to listen to some audio that just came out from yesterday, first of all here’s Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday addressing the general assembly. Listen.

NETANYAHU: But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the you Jewish people, and decent people everywhere, have you no shame? Have you no decency? A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the state of Israel, the state of the Jews? What a disgrace.

GLENN: That’s one of the most powerful speeches I think I’ve ever heard. I don’t care what you think about the state of Israel. I don’t care if you think we should be over there helping or not but I want to play this again because I’m going to play it next to something else that happened yesterday and I want you to feel this. I don’t want you to hear this. I want you to feel these words. First of all, Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu.

NETANYAHU: But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere, have you no shame? Have you no decency? A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the state of Israel, the state of the Jews? What a disgrace.

GLENN: Now, a reporter from Fox catches up with Hugo Chavez. Listen to this through translation. Listen.

REPORTER: Quick question. Many people are very confused at President Ahmadinejad because he denies the Holocaust, one of the horrors of the 20th century, and his forces were seen killing people on the streets of Tehran and other places after the election. Can you explain your friendship with him so that people understand what you’re doing?

GLENN: Stop. The question was, people are confused by your relationship with Ahmadinejad. I mean, basically he’s a guy who has been very, very bad and how can you be friends with him. Can you explain your relationship?

(Audio plays)

GLENN: You’re poisoning people, you’re killing people in Iraq and you only are against the president because he’s black.

NETANYAHU: But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people and decent people everywhere, have you no shame? Have you no decency? A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the state of Israel, the state of the Jews? What a disgrace.

GLENN: May I ask you this question? You just heard Benjamin Netanyahu. Forget about the politics. We have a guy who denies that the Holocaust happened, that Schindler’s List is a fantasy. He’s friends with Chavez. Chavez is in bed with Oliver Stone, in bed with Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, you name it. Our own members of congress and White House officials seem to have no problem with Venezuela, and Hugo Chavez, our own president will sit down and try to broker a deal with a guy who denies the Holocaust! Just listen and feel the voices of those two men, Benjamin Netanyahu: What a disgrace. And Hugo Chavez: You only hate the president because he’s black. Look at all the people that you’re killing in Iraq. You’re poisoning your own people. Good God almighty, whose side are we on?
