Glenn Beck: Bill Maher calls you stupid
|
Video: Bill Maher on Larry King |
GLENN: 888 727 BECK. Right before we go on the air Pat says, Bill Maher said the stupidest thing again. I’m like, give me the update when he doesn’t.
PAT: (Laughing).
GLENN: (Laughing).
PAT: Well, it is the stupid thing. He keeps calling the American people stupid.
GLENN: You’re kidding me.
PAT: No, he was on Larry King the other night and
GLENN: Do you have that?
PAT: Yeah.
GLENN: All right. Here it is.
PAT: King was asking him a question about the terror trials coming up.
KING: Civilian trial for the guy responsible for 9/11.
MAHER: Yeah.
KING: In Manhattan where it happened.
MAHER: In Manhattan. I understand this
KING: Obama seems to be backing off that again.
MAHER: Again that’s so typical of the Democrats. As soon as anybody screams at all, one little squeak out of anybody, okay, sorry, you are right, we’ll do the opposite, backs off of it. But they never
KING: Schumer changed, Bloomberg changed.
MAHER: What the Democrats never understand is that Americans don’t really care what position you take. Just stick with one. Just be strong. They are not bright enough to really understand the issues, but like an animal they can sort of sense strength.
PAT: Like an animal they can sort of sense strength.
GLENN: It’s not even funny.
PAT: It’s not.
GLENN: It’s not even funny anymore.
STU: Now it is. It’s this world he lives in.
GLENN: No, it’s not. It’s a fascistic world.
PAT: It is.
GLENN: It’s a Mussolini world, it’s a communist world, it’s a dictator world.
STU: He’s a comedian
GLENN: They don’t care
STU: He is a comedian.
GLENN: You are going to give him the comedian role. Would you give him the comedian role?
STU: I think there are times you say stuff that, yes, you are just trying to be funny. He is not trying to be funny here.
GLENN: He’s not trying to be funny.
STU: But I’m just not taking an incredible amount of importance from his opinion.
PAT: But if it was a joke, then you’d say, yeah, he’s just being funny.
STU: Yeah. No, he’s not.
PAT: He’s just got a deep seated, he hates the American people.
GLENN: He is a progressive. He’s a progressive.
PAT: Or worse.
STU: And the other thing about Maher and I
GLENN: There’s nothing worse than a progressive. Progressivism will lead
PAT: Flat out communist.
GLENN: Progressivism will lead to look, the reason why they always call and I’m going to explain this in the next couple of weeks and I’ll show you the video because every progressive will say, all the posts, oh, no, Glenn Beck is lying! I’m going to show you the photographic and film evidence of why everybody calls progressive Republicans, "Oh, it’s Hitler." Why people call progressive Republicans or I mean Democrats, "Oh, he’s Stalin." Oh, I’ll show you. There’s a reason for it. You just have to know what history is. There’s a reason for it. These guys will lead you into some sort of total government. One way or another, that’s where progressivism ends. Total government. You read the words of Woodrow Wilson and Walter Lippmann and House, what’s his name? Edward House. Is that his name? Edward? Anyway, it doesn’t matter.
PAT: I was going to say Dr. House from Fox, but
GLENN: No, not him. You read these guys and they sound just like Bill Maher, just like Bill Maher. They listen to that. Play it again. And listen, pay attention to the part where he says they’re too stupid, they don’t actually care about policies. They just sense strength.
KING: The civilian trial, guy responsible for 9/11.
MAHER: Yeah.
KING: In Manhattan where it happened?
MAHER: In Manhattan. I don’t understand this
KING: And Obama seems to be backing off that a little? Awe
MAHER: Again that’s so typical of the Democrats. As soon as anybody screams at all, one little squeak out of anybody: Okay, sorry, you’re right, we’ll do the opposite. Backs off of it. What they never
KING: Schumer changed, Bloomberg changed.
MAHER: What the Democrats don’t understand is that Americans don’t really care what position you take. Just stick with one. Just be strong. They are not bright enough to really understand the issues. But like an animal they can sort of sense strength.
GLENN: Wow. Almost like so what we need is a strong man.
