I wish I could convince you that Ron cares about the world. You can plainly see that Europe is on the verge of collapse, and we will follow. This is why Ron talks of free markets and free and fair trade. Take Iran for example; I lived there for 18 months, from 1976 to 1979. The people are kind, polite and want the same things we want; a job, a home and a family. They loved Americans and The American Way, and we were treated like royalty over there, Since the 50s, we have been tampering with thier government, propping up dictators, and when we decide we don't like the current dictator that we chose, we 'help' overthrow that one, and replace him with another dictator, NOT DEMOCRACY. After decades of bad decisions about Iran on our part, and decades of trade embargos and boycots, we may have upset enough regular Iranian citizens to cause them to resent us and actually take action against us. Now that we have upset the 'ordinary' guy in the middle east (as we do this in almost every middle eastern country), we get attacked occasionally in Europe and at home. This is what Ron talks about. The United States does not worry about defending the defenseless, we worry about defending oil. Yes, I'll admit that when mass genecide occures, we sometimes come to the defense of the people who are being wiped out, but it is mostly self-interest we defend around the world. Finally, has your Mother ever told you "you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar." She wasn't lying to you. That is precisely why Ron believes free trade is better than nation building. He also believes that war should be approved by congress as outlined in the Constitution. Take Israel for example, they have a threat from Iran. They want to unilaterally attack Iran with the second most powerful airforce (second only to ours) and WE PAID FOR IT. For some reason, we are trying to dictate to our ally that they must only attack Iran under our terms. Allies should not be dictated to, they should be helped by us only when we are asked to get involved by them. Now we are starting to upset Israel. See how that works? If we want to characterize free trade, following the Constitution, and NOT tampering with every small countrys' government that we can, in order to get what we can, as a wild west mentality, that I guess i'm 'old' too. Too old to embrace 'the new world order'. This is for you Paige, in case you missed it.

Oh, by the way, you are wrong about people of the world resenting our freedom. They resent the dictators WE put in power over them, and they wonder why freedom is good for America, yet they are expected to settle for less. You need to read history to get the facts

Your would be taken seriously if you didn't have so many misspellings which insinuate that you are uneducated. I am not trying to be ugly but seriously, read your post before hitting the send button.
Ex: waist should be waste, redoric should be rhetoric, Libertys should be liberties, not capitalized either. na sayers should be nay sayers, sourse should be source, expensise should be expense, canidate should be candidate, Santoram should be Santorum and Democrates should be Democrats.

If this were Ron Paul's true attitude that stance would be understandable. But from my understanding and prove me wrong if I am, with facts, Ron Paul just doesn't care about the world and thinks he can be an isolationist country while everyone else will say "Hey, the USA doesnt' want to get involved, let's let them be". The truth is we are the most hated country in the world because of our freedoms, that threaten their stranglehold on their own countries, their oppression of their people is threatened because the world sees the US treating their people with dignity and rights, and so the only answer in their crazy power mad heads is to destroy America. We cannot live in peace while the world is destroying people who's only crime is to be born of a lower caste, different race or belief in a different god. We have an obligation as the strongest country in the world to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and we are morally and by the sovereign God commanded to defend the defenseless. Minding our own business is not an option. Besides, it will become our business when they decide we are too weak to defend ourselves. Ron Paul has dangerous foreign policies, he is too old and living in a vision of yesterday's Wild West mentality. He may have some domestic economic policies that I wholeheartedly agree with, but his stance on foreign policy has lost my vote and countless others.

Flavor of the day. Didn't Mitt just 'sweep' the last two states by a 'landslide'? It means nothing! They're all just Republican Progressives, like George Bush. Ron Paul is the only real alternative. Ron Paul 2012!

I understand your fear, unfortunately so do the people who love war. Ron understands that we have spent ourselves into deep debt to 'protect our interests' overseas. We have also upset people whos countries we occupy. Imagine if the Chinese had a military base with 40,000 troops in Cuba or Canada, or God forbid, on our soil. We would not like it because it threatens our sovernty. Ron just wants wars to be approved by Congress like the Constitution dictates, it's scary, but its the law that we have ignored. The hypocracy is being for war in all corners of the earth, and not being able to afford it.
