PAT: The liberals are fired up and ready to go with their own rally, too. This is really good because there hasn’t been a good rally on the mall in four days.

STU: Yeah. A good four days now.

PAT: Good four days.

STU: Almost 100 hours.

PAT: So they feel like they need to counter the Restoring Honor rally because I don’t know why we’re thinking about trying to restore honor. Who would want to do that? Who would want to do that? So they are going to protest honor and I guess they are doing a pretty good job because they invited Charlie Rangel.

STU: Because if you’re going to do something to oppose the restoration of honor, who better to represent your cause than one Charlie Rangel?

PAT: Good place to start, you know, right there with Charlie Rangel.

RANGEL: And to Centers for America, we have a lot of strange people coming to Washington.

STU: Strange?

RANGEL: Don’t let them fill the vacuum of the Stars and Stripes. That is really you. That’s what you stand for. Get fired up once again. Don’t give up! Don’t give out! Don’t give in! This is our country; let’s reclaim it. God bless America.

STU: Yeah! Woo!

PAT: Don’t give up, don’t give out?

STU: Right.

PAT: Is that date suggestions for, you know, your weekend?

STU: I’m not exactly sure. You know, you feel like the guy who’s being indicted on ethics charges, maybe not the guy you want to represent I guess he is, though, perfect for an anti Restoring Honor rally.

PAT: Yeah.

STU: On 10/2/10 which is, of course, it’s a little upsetting to me personally because why would they schedule a rally on the day Gandhi was born?

PAT: Why are you dishonoring Gandhi? Why?

STU: That’s sacred. Obviously everybody knows that, everybody talks about

PAT: Mahatma Gandhi. Come on.

STU: We’re talking about a guy who is really, you know, peaceful, he’s known for the way he brought peace to the world. And then you have unions hijacking the dream of Gandhi.

PAT: Known for violence.

STU: Because they are known for violence obviously and here they are. They come out, they’re trampling on the dream of Gandhi by just scheduling this hate rally on 10/2/10, his own birthday. Pat, this is very disturbing.

PAT: It is.

STU: It’s very upsetting.

PAT: What, are they going to wear diapers, too, and white robes and stuff?

STU: Probably.

PAT: I’ll bet.

STU: Well, you knew their plan was to hijack it because they not only picked the day that Mahatma Gandhi was born but then they signaled the hijacking by also scheduling it on the day that a Chinese airline was hijacked and crashed, killing 132 people.

PAT: Oh, my gosh.

STU: And it’s so obvious what they are doing there.

PAT: Oh, my gosh.

STU: The intentional plan of hijacking Gandhi with these two, these two specific things happening on this date, just magically, Pat. Just, they just magically scheduled these two events, the event on the same day as these two events, hijacking and Gandhi, clearly they are sending a message here.

PAT: Coincidence? I think not.

STU: No.

PAT: I think not.

STU: Hijacking the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, I didn’t think they would go any lower.

PAT: I don’t know how low these people plan to stoop but clearly quite low.

STU: And on the day that Charles Schultz Peanuts was first scheduled. I mean, this is a sacred day here in America.

PAT: No, it is not.

STU: And they are clearly intentionally scheduling it.

PAT: They are not pretending not to know that.

STU: No.

PAT: I mean, they have to admit they knew that that was that day, that 10/2/10 is the day that Charles Schultz scheduled Peanuts.

STU: How about this, Pat. George Washington sent the proposed constitutional amendments to the states for ratification on this day.

PAT: I was just going to bring that one up.

STU: And they are stomping on the dream.

PAT: Why George Washington? Why do these people hate the father of our country? Why do they loathe him? Why do they hate all white people? And all Indian people, you know, with Mahatma Gandhi?

STU: Why? Why do they do it? And you know this is I would say I’d like to also play off the fact that they kept saying 8/28 was going to be about politics, but I can’t do that because it actually is going to be about politics. They keep saying we’re going to get people out to the voting booth, we are going to oppose Glenn’s rally because Glenn’s rally will do nothing to help at the midterm election booth. When did we say anything about the midterm election booth? Did you watch any of the rally? It has nothing to do with elections. And yet again they just keep going back to the same five or six things that have already been disproved because their audience is so lazy, they are just going to believe whatever they say.

PAT: Yeah.

STU: It’s sort of sad. But in a way, I mean, I guess it gives you a little bit of hope for the future.

PAT: I mean, they weren’t going to let the corporations hijack this thing, the corporations who put this last rally on? What corporation? Tell me, name the corporation that put together that, other than Mercury Radio Arts, that put together the rally we had on 8/28.

STU: Halliburton. Halliburton had to have something to do with it. You know it. You know it!

PAT: All right. Well, other than the obvious, Halliburton, okay.

STU: Mmm hmmm. Mmm hmmm.

PAT: Obviously they had something to do with it. They have something to do with everything.

STU: We initially had the Hope award going to the BP CEO but that fell through.

PAT: He didn’t want to have anything to do with this.

STU: We’re actually worse publicity than the actual oil spill.

PAT: Yeah.

STU: That’s unfortunately true.

PAT: You know, there was not a single corporation involved in this, not one. I mean, there were maybe heads of corporations, a few.

STU: Yeah.

PAT: Giving some $25,000, $50,000 donations. There were a couple, maybe a handful of those. Most, almost all of our donations came in $100 or less increments.

STU: Yeah, I don’t know if we fell for the hype or what but we were thinking there were going to be a lot of bigger donations from really rich people would step to the plate. And some of them did, there were some that gave large donations but really this came from you guys, the audience who had money pouring in for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. And really that’s what it comes down to. I mean, the fact that we were able to raise far more than we ever expected for this event, and the showing was far larger than we could have ever expected. You know, I mean, it’s a testament to the audience really.

PAT: It is.

STU: Not to corporations. It’s such a standard talking point.

PAT: It was not promoted by Fox News, it was not covered wall to wall by Fox News.

STU: No.

PAT: I mean, they did less drop ins news wise than CNN and NBC. CNN and NBC practically gave us wall to wall coverage.

STU: They are still doing it.

PAT: They’re still.

STU: It’s Friday and they are still covering it basically wall to wall.

PAT: It is almost a week later now and they are still covering it like crazy. That’s all they could talk about.

STU: Yeah. They are obsessed.

PAT: So now the AFL CIO, SEIU, the American Federation of Teachers, all these unions and liberal groups including the NAACP are all getting together to do this march on the mall.

STU: 10/2/10.

PAT: 10/2/10. And let’s see. The Executive Vice President of the AFL CIO Arlene Holt Baker, I love this quote, says we are fueled by hope and not hate.

STU: Of course, remember we had faith, hate and charity.

PAT: Yeah, that’s right.

STU: And that was the three themes of the Glenn Beck rally. And then we gave Albert Pujols the hate award which was delivered by Tony LaRussa. So you could definitely see how it was a hateful rally.

PAT: Brought out the hard core, the heavy metal hate bands that just reach into the microphone. Remember that part?

STU: Oh, yeah.

PAT: Oh, man, they were awesome.

STU: The def metal bands?

PAT: Yeah, the def metal?

STU: That was fantastic.

PAT: Love that metal.

STU: We really were trying with a hateful vibe there with all the clergy on stage. You can’t find a more hateful group than 240 members of the clergy.

PAT: You really can’t. And we looked. We tried to.

STU: We tried really hard.

PAT: We tried. We just couldn’t find it.
