Half Man, Half Machine

GLENN: And then there's the story that I want to get into that I found from the Associated Press. Hillary Clinton supporters and Democratic advisors, how does Hillary Clinton win? Oh, my gosh. Ooh. I can't believe these people are winning. Here are some of them: "Show passion." Show passion? She's crying all the time. We don't need her to show any more passion. We get it. She's either crying or she's screaming at us. It's the economy again. Here's actually a decent piece of advice. "Hillary Clinton must be on message that she is the candidate for the economy." And can I tell you something? Compared to Barack Obama -- I can't believe I'm saying this -- she is. I mean, I think we should actually start a campaign -- oh, no, that would work against. Kind of like the John McCain thing. With talk radio actually working now for John McCain by being against him, maybe we should all be for Barack Obama. I don't know. But Hillary Clinton is the one to run against and not because she would beat John McCain per se. I don't know. I don't know. I think she would -- I think she would lose to John McCain. I'm not really sure. I'm not going to predict how anybody votes anymore and I'm never going to count the Clinton machine out. These people are dirty, dirty, dirty. I just think she's the one, she's the one to run, not Barack Obama because it would be better to have her in the White House than Barack Obama, especially if everybody's crying every time he speaks.
Here's another piece of advice: "Go negative." Are you ridding me? Go negative? By the way, have you seen how negative this has gotten? Have you seen how divisive this has gotten? Have you seen the cries of racism now? Have you seen the guy that came and started yelling at -- in fact, it's happening a lot now -- yelling at Bill Clinton as he's on stage and just tearing him apart. And not only a conservative. An Obama supporter. And just tearing these people apart. Obama supporters are starting to get -- I mean, not Obama supporters, the normal ones. I mean, you know, the crazy ones, the ones that are crying. They are starting to come in and they're crashing Hillary Clinton's speeches and Bill Clinton's speeches and they're coming after them guns a blazing and they're saying, you know, look at the smear campaign, look at the hatred, look at what's going on, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Go negative? Can you have any -- do you have any concept of what is going to be said about conservatives and people who vote against Barack Obama? Can you imagine? Do you know how we're going to go down in the history books? In the history books if we vote against Barack Obama and he wins, we're going to be -- our children are going to be taught or our grandchildren are going to be taught that we were hate mongers, that we were -- that's all we were. They couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black man as President. Meanwhile the American people, they knew. They understood.
She needs to have a grassroots organization who wants to work for Hillary Clinton, seriously. I know people who used to work for her. They're like, oh, I can't take it. A grassroots organization? Who wants to volunteer their time for Hillary Clinton, especially since it seems like it's a machine. Tell me it doesn't feel like a machine to you. Here's a piece of advice: Just keep doing what you're doing. That's good. You know it's working real well for you so far. Yeah, just keep doing what you're doing.
And then my favorite piece of advice is: "Be yourself." Be yourself? I don't think she exists. I don't think these people even know who they are. Do you? I think Bill Clinton does. You know, he's kicking back having a beer or something? I think he remembers who he is. I don't think she even knows who she is anymore. I think she's so calculated, she's a machine.
