Apparently these days it's controversial to do an ad giving thanks your son is alive. That was the case with the much anticipated Tim Tebow commercial, in which his Mom talked about her decision to choose life. This had the pro-abortion groups screaming to the mountains to stop this ad. What happened to pro 'choice'? Seems like the only choice pro-'choice' groups care about is abortion.
Today on radio Glenn talks about his trip to go buy a Christmas tree this weekend. So long as you aren't living in some bizarre world where needles and tree sap is your idea of a good time, this was probably your weekend. Freezing your butt off, pathetically attempting to saw down a tree, getting covered in sap, and then getting yelled at as the tree (no matter how it is positioned) never looks good enough. This one is for all of you men out there who long for owning a fake Christmas tree.
#1 New York Times bestselling author Richard Paul Evans, the “King of Christmas” and author of the blockbuster novel “The Christmas Box” (it sold 8 million copies!) joined Glenn today to talk about his latest book “The Christmas List.”
You’ve read the New York Times #1 Best-selling book and seen the Broadway-style stage show. Now prepare yourself for the latest incarnation of Glenn Beck’s deeply personal tale of the love, faith and family as he presents, The Christmas Sweater – A Return To Redemption…LIVE!
It's that time of year again, when people are a nice for a few weeks before they go back to being rude, selfish and obnoxious. Glenn talks with Jason Wright, author of Christmas Jars, one of the classic and most touching books you will read this holiday.
Obama is one of the most liberal politicians - especially when it comes to abortion. He's the only Illinois Senator who voiced opposition in 2001 to a bill that tried to protect babies who survived botched abortions. He will always side with the woman citing her right to choose. To have this position, one must not believe life begins at conception or even in the womb -- otherwise you would be admittedly advocating murder. So it's odd that Obama said, this Fathers Day in Parade Magazine, "That is why we need fathers to step up, to realize that their job does not end at conception". Wait, how can they be fathers at conception if the baby is not a baby at conception?
The law of consecration, which means you take all of your money and you give it to Moses.  You give all of your money to your church, 100% and then you take only that that you need, okay?  Moses couldn't make that work and so the law of consecration was too difficult for the people with the guy who parted the Red Sea and so they went down to a 10% tithing rule:  Give 10%, okay?
Comrades! A tough break on the news from the Western front -- the attempts to have the government regulate the Catholic Church in CT have failed in light of the fact that the proposed law was 'unconstitutional'. It's only a minor setback, however, as the assault on religion will continue until it succeeds, comrades!
Glenn got a call from a so called conservative who doesn't believe in God and she takes issue with Glenn's focus on God in relation to America---and she cannot understand why Glenn focuses so much on the things that people said 200 years ago. We are 'progressive' now, she argued, while quoting Glenn's favorite President to hate...Woodrow Wilson.
President Obama announced this week that he is reversing the Bush policies on no federal funding for stem cell research, citing he doesn't want 'ideology' to get in the way of 'fact'. Professor George takes issue with this line of thinking and comments on the outrageous case in Connecticut that George calls a clear attack on the 1st Amendment. Glenn says 'every person who believes in God must forget their theology for a little while and stand together...because God is under attack'.
Glenn took a call today from perhaps the rarest form of human life ever to walk the Earth---a gay conservative. She came out of the closet---and then later in life had to come out of the closet again for going against the 'gay handbook' rule that caused her 'friends' to dump her almost instantly. This caller truly displayed what living with principles is all about -- instead of conforming to what the world wants her to act like, she decide to be sincere to her beliefs and live according to her principles.
You've read the 9 principles and if you agreed with at least 7 out of 9 then you sent your picture to wesurroundthem@gmail.com and have been waiting for the next step. The principles won't stand if the people don't have values---
Glenn talks about seeing the US Airways plane that crashed in the Hudson River from his office in NYC...
Sometimes it's the little things that are important...
A Special Message from Glenn: The Christmas Sweater is a story about the idea of Christmas as a time for redemption and atonement. Whatever your beliefs about my religion, the concept of religious tolerance is too important to be sacrificed in response to pressure from special interest groups, especially when it means bowing to censorship.
