Remember when I told you that the President is going to come out and say ‘Damn right I’m a Socialist because it works’?  It’s coming very soon.

Only 53 %  ?  I would have guessed between to 80-85% of Democrats. There appears to be a growing number of Republicans who also want Socialism.   We are in big trouble.

Actually, we need to start calling out the communists among us like was done in the 40′s & 50′s……..we need to know who they are in order to get rid of them out of our government & we need to know beforehand so we are not electing them anymore……

Very sad. I am proactive and (diplomatically) in every ones face. Some don’t like it, others don’t seem to mind. Some just stare back as if in head lights. But at least I’m doing something. And when I walk away they know I’m not going away. Be Brave, Be Bold, Stand for something.

Left-wingers lie and deceive about what Socialism is.  They will claim that it is everything that is paid for by the government, and that shows that they are either ignorant or deliberate liars and deceivers.

If they were right, it would mean that our courts of law, street cleaning, and every New England Town Hall meeting deciding budgets is Socialist.  Socialism is inextricably tied into controlling, managing, or owning the means of production.  And that is the goal, of course.  Most of these brain-dead Liberal TRAITORS want the central authority to manage the economy and the society.  It is really an old story, over a century old in our country.   http://www.liberaljungle.com

  • greywolfrs

Actually, the problem here is a simple one. Left wing dolts have been indoctrinated into believing that socialism is a wonderful thing. It’s those bleeding heart liberals that think socialism means every one has a place to live, food, electricity, water and all the “basic” things that one needs to survive. The part that they never seem to understand is the human nature part. The people at the “top” always think they deserve more and they take more. They are not happy driving a Hyundai, they want a BMW, while everyone else gets a Hyundai. They are not happy with a hamburger like everyone else, they deserve steak and crab legs. I find it funny that left wing dolts talk about the rich in this country and how much more they have, never even realizing that they are wanting the same thing, just for different people. It is quite humorous that they think Obamao wouldn’t step on every one of them to get what he wants. Institute Socialism, with Obamao as leader and watch what happens to you useful morons.

To laugh or cry depends on your understanding. Maker or taker ?  Collectivist or individualist ? Net Producer or net consumer ?.  In other words, are you a plus or a minus to society ?
Government schools have been promoting socialism for nearly one hundred years.
Government promotes government, As government advances, freedom retreats.
Saddly, we have elected a totalitarian, his socialism is a parasite on economic freedom, and

we are living in some exciting times, Dept 16 trillion, food stamp 47 million, unemployment over 10% if the truth was told, and we have a president that has as much business experience as a june bug, and soon we will have a sec of state, that wouldn’t know the truth if it hit her square in the face, And we are going to get a sec of defense that say soldiers are thugs and rapist.and throws his metals on the capital lawn in protest, if he is in fact given that job every general, col, capt and lt that is part of the military should resign, And all enlisted members should refuse to carry out any of his orders. If he thinks you are thugs and rapist, show him you are also and ass hole and resign. I for one would not serve in any way while that dumb ass was in charge. I really feel bad for the younger people that soon will have to pay down all the dept. In fact I was a supervisor for many years in manufacturing, and when anyone working for me performed for me like my government is now, They were fired. But it’s not their fault. they didn’t vote themself in office over and over again. so have fun with all that dept suckers. happy days are here or will be real soon.

Nobody should spend a single dime that they can avoid, for ANYTHING other than to organizations that participate in restoring our constitution.

Easier said then done and it should be DONE. NO charities unless they serve conservative causes, scholarships for conservative schools etc, NO giving to anything like Red Cross, United Way, autism whatever…NOTHING. Home school. No cable or satellite. Create small groups, barter. Find medical care from a conservative provider and give them business in groups. STOP purchasing all media Only spend money on conservative media. Go to the school board meetings and support conservative candidates, challenge the curriculum in PUBLIC. Find textbooks that aren’t Anti American. What about establishing official “friend” corporations of just conservatives and 501C3 churches of ONLY conservatives. Political grass roots groups and ONLY give money there stop wasting it on the morning liberal newspaper etc. What about creating a groups of conservatives for healthcare plans. Find conservative gas station owners and mechanics and give THEM your business etc etc. Stop Whole Foods and Starbucks shopping etc. ACT UP SPEAK OUT FFS.

Huckabee is a fool for saying he hopes he never gets so bitter he’d refuse to sit down for dinner with a Democrat. NO Democrat is welcome in my personal space in ANY WAY. This is no joke, what we have here.

I don’t know, but I have not come across anything in my Life that I can say that
it’s the other guys fault. I goofed off in School except when it was something I liked.
I stunk at Math until I was in Geometry Then I went to the top of the Class, any way
I went into the Navy when I turned 17, and that was when I found out I had to be first
as long as I didn’t cause trouble for the rest of the Company. In 1958 Eisenhower was
President and the Military really didn’t keep up with the Times.
Anyway I bombed out of Signal School and wound up on a Navel Tanker stationed in
Newport RI.that is where I found out S@#& flows Down Hill and I was the new kid at the
    Bottom of the Hill.
I spent the rest of my enlistment on that Ship when I was Discharged from the Ship
I was an E-5 PO. I found out how to STUDY! and dam glad I did.Socialism wasn’t even

I honestly think that the ONLY way the GOP will recover is if the core leadership realizes that the appeal of real conservatism is hands off governance. IE, “insert question” A: that is not the federal governments business regardless of my opinion personally (be that second amendment issues, reproductive issues, etc. Go ahead and bash me, but that, in my opinion is the only way the GOP will recover middle ground voters because in all honesty I think the majority of people agree with it not being Federal business when phrased properly. Make it a states purview and not a Federal issue and we are on the road to realistic Constitutional re-instatement.

    Steve.
There is no 2 Party System in this Country ! The Republicans and Democrats have been
Playing Good Cop / Bad Cop with the American People and America ever since Goldwater
ran against LBJ for President. Goldwater told the American people what was going on in
South East Asia and the Democrats called Gold water a War-Monger so LBJ was Elected
and we went to war in Vietnam for how many years ?
Another Example; Reagan Signed a Amnesty Agreement in 1986 what happened ? 12
Million Illegals got Green Cards and the Dems And the GOP forgot about the rest of the Bill,
you Know, the part where Congress was suppose to Secure the Borders, Ports, Terminals,
and find out who was suppose to be in the US and Deport the rest. BUT CONGRESS FORGOT
that part of the Bill and here we are TODAY!! Thanks to the Deomcraticrepublican Party.
The only thing that could save America is a Benevolent Dictator or a Very Strong Third Party !
So I guess us Americans just have to hang onto our Ankles because there is not enough of
us willing to march on Washington and DEMAND our Country BACK.

No surprise. I don’t like making movie references, but Loki in the “Avengers” had it right: some people WANT to be ruled. Liberals will bow before anyone who gives them free stuff, doesn’t make them feel guilty for being promiscuous/drunk/doing drugs, will beat up people who say things they don’t like, etc. Obama and the Democrats are fully willing to do these things.

No surprises here!  If anything, I’m sure if they added the catagory –GOD. Republicans 90% Democrats 0%. Hey! the people( a majority of them–whoever “THEY” are voted and we got what “THEY” wanted) Apparently a majority of the public wants a socialist government. History shows that socialism has never worked, but forget that. According to the electoral college and the popular vote failure seems to be the choice of the populace. “We the people” doesn’t mean what you think it does—not anymore! It’s over folks. Tomstone in the cemetry reads–America born 1776 died Nov 6, 2012. Spend a liitle time and read The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire. We ,The USA, have traveled the same path , reached the same ends and we did it a lot quicker than the Romans. Don’t shed any tears. Apparently, enough people that supposedly really cared never showed up to vote. The next 4 years and beyond will be about personal survival –how to exist in a socialist world. If you are white, not a muslim, own property, have any money or own your business–you might consider Austraia, New Zeland or an Island in the Pacific.

I’m still confused as to where the socialists think all that money is going to come from once all the rich people are made poor and all the companies have to go out of business? As it’s said, history will repeat itself if you don’t learn from it.  Socialism and Communism have been tried and tried WELL and FAILED!!! What idiot thinks we can do it better when Americans are FAR too use to our luxuries and cry like babies if the hotwater heater goes out. The only way it could work is to reduce the population… (taking away our guns to make that step easier?)

Yes, there was some hope for NH: In the 2010 election, they got rid of some Left-wingers. But they have regressed. It is sad.

Socialism is a regression to a more primitive and brutal past. The Liberals try to present it as “modern” or “progress” and even “scientific,” but that is because they are brainwashed and ignorant.

The dark past – under emperors, Church, king and feudal lords – fit the description of socialism quite well: A central authority controlling the means of production and distributing the wealth as it deems fit, for the promise of protection and sustenance. These Socialists are really bringing back barbarism.

I don’t think the Republicans in that 23% who lean Socialist understand Socialism.  The word is soft on the ears, like “Future” and “Progressive”.  It doesn’t have the connotations of Communism or Marxism.  On its face, it seems like an attempt to “give everyone their fair share”, and I’m guessing they haven’t lived it.  Otherwise, they’d have a comparison.

Russia dumped Socialism because IT DOESN’T WORK.

A few days ago, President Putin of Russia even commented that Obama is taking this country in the wrong direction.

We the People need to take very drastic measures if we plan to preserve our Constitutional form of Government and save this country from the absolute STUPIDITY of the Socialists.

Any suggestions?  I have some but won’t publish them.  I’ll bet you do too.

And there lies the problem! There are goats in every country that can only move “forward” when herded! It’s really sad to realize the mentality and lack of historical education. The continued laziness, because that is what the problem seems to be; The lack of self esteem and respect is missing in a populous that would rather be directed than produce their own destiny. That faulty gene still runs ramped in a citizenry willing to forsake their freedoms for servitude; Their respectability and accountability for their livelihood. They are willing to let others rule their lives! How egregious is that?

If people would take the time to
listen and learn they would realize that socialism does not work for anyone.
You have many more opportunities for advancement and financial growth when the
government is not involved. I am a 47 year old female who makes $32,000 a year
and I hold nothing against those that are rich and successful. I have the same
opportunities that they do…unfortunately; I don’t have the same drive. It is
a proven fact that the rich create jobs. When jobs are created more people pay
income tax and there is less of a financial burden on the unemployment system.
It is a win-win situation. We must get the word out so that people are truly
aware of the down side of socialism.

From Gallup…”These findings are based on a Nov. 18-19 update of a January 2010 Gallup poll question asking respondents if they had a positive or negative image of each of seven economically related terms.”
First off I would like to point out that in two years the change in our average perception of these things has hardly changed (See Figure 1)…

Additionally, “Overall, Americans today are most positive toward small business, free enterprise, and entrepreneurs. The reason for these highly positive overall ratings lies in the fact that there are only minor partisan differences between Republicans and Democrats, or between conservatives and liberals.” Which basically means that these terms elicit an emotional, partisan response brought on by the political environment in which we live.

Gallup itself concluded that, “Americans across parties and ideologies are uniformly positive toward small business, free enterprise, and entrepreneurs.” And later on that, Capitalism and free enterprise have many similarities theoretically. But, capitalism as a term gets a significantly more negative rating from Democrats — and to a degree from Republicans — than does free enterprise. Small and big business are similar in concept as well, but while every group appears to love the former, the latter evokes less positive reactions, particularly among Democrats and liberals.”

Before you let Glenn scare you into believing that 53% of all Democrats reacted positively to socialism remember the fact that this is a polling company and a poll designed to break down the reactions of we, the people, to certain terms thrown around by OUR politicians.  Fostering hate because one favors a larger role for the federal government and one doesn’t is a useless exercise, rather why not reverse the trend by focusing on the similarities between big businesses and small, foster freedom and opportunity for young entrepreneurs, and work on a federal government that invests in us, not babysits us.

  • Anonymous

We let the schools teach our children and never questioned what was contained in the books they read. I try and stay upbeat but feel my children and grandchildren are in a no win situation. I hope I’m wrong but I feel Obama will ignore term limits and dissolve our government as we know it and become a dictator. Shame on the conservatives who didn’t vote for Romney because they figured we’d go over the cliff anyway so why delay the inevitable. And for the liberals you should have moved to the other countries in the world instead of destroying the country that gave you freedom of life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and most precious your speech. But alas, you knew the other countries weren’t going to give you all of the above.
I pray our republican leaders will not cave in at this time.

The troubling aspect of the times we live in is the inequity of the powers that be.   The president’s mere existence (his re-election) is a symptom of the cancer that has grown here.  With the majority of the media acting as the PR department for this administration as well as anything leftist . . .  we will not hear pure truth again.   We ALL deserve the government we  receive . . . because (let’s face it) the majority of us who care enough to comment on pages like this . . . the more vociferous of the lot, did NOTHING to promote the alternative to Obama.  Yeah, we showed up to vote . . .  or did we ?  But hat did we do to sincerely persuade anyone to THINK NOT EMOTE over their vote ?   We have a voting right that allows people who pay no taxes to vote to tax others who do !   We have a growing majority of “citizens-on-the-dole” (government paid existence) voting for those who will perpetuate the draining of the coffers, while expressing their disdain for the “producer” class of our country.  Our developing problems are in their infancy.   The future is going to be very tough . . . with the fostering of the federal government as the only solution.   As a staunch-conservative, I have little hope that (in my lifetime) this country’s current-traveled path will be and/or can be stopped.  I mourn the fact that I actually believe this . . . but I do !!      Merry Christmas !!

Seriously,  I think the Republicans ought to just let the Dems run things for the next two years. Don’t fight ‘em – just let ‘em go. When a bunch of small businesses go under and the unemployment rates hit an all time high and our national debt triples – they will have absolutely no none to blame but themselves. AND AS AN ADDED BONUS THE MEDIA WON’T BE ABLE TO COVER FOR THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION!!!! Then we would sweep both the house AND senate during the midterm elections and THAT would effectively tie Obama’s hands for his remaining two years – WITH THE ADDED BENEFIT THAT THERE WOULDN’T BE ANOTHER DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE FOR THE NEXT THREE OR FOUR ELECTIONS!!!!

the current administration has been making any business or person that makes a profit look like a villain or even a criminal (ie, Mitt Romney, thank you Harry Reid). People just believe what ever they hear without any evidence that it has or will happen, reversing Roe v. Wade and this ridiculous war on women. Teachers, I love them btw, in my area make more money than I do in the private sector (same job for over 15 years) and get the added bonus of pensions and healthcare…we have been told that public sector employees make less money in salaries because they get these benefits. I don’t see that happening now, I am sure it was once the case, but unions have gotten out of control…there are enough labor laws, in my opinion, to help employees where unions were once needed, I think the unions have worn out their welcome and have ruined so many companies.

We became a country which slowly took God and common sense out of it. We started allowing the government to ‘help’ those in ‘trouble and hard times’ instead of friends, family, neighbors or churches. It became okay to let someone else do it for you.Nobody ‘has’ to work for anything anymore because those of us who DO work for what we have have become ‘their’ support.  Do people really think if we all have a home or a car or shoes with holes in them someone else isn’t going to want what we have?  Does this make sense? And we’ll never go ‘up’ to the middle class (what a laugh that one is) we’ll go down to the poverty level. Little by little we’ve allowed people and government to take our America away.   :(

The logical outcome is full blown Communism. So says Karl Marx. (3rd paragraph of his Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Marx ) And it makes sense, too – the more people stop producing and start relying on themselves, the less productive the society as a whole becomes – and Socialism eventually collapses unless complete authoritarian rule comes in and compels people to work for the benefit of the State. The end result is a dictatorial or Fascist system with walls to keep people from fleeing for their freedom and liberty.

I think the fact that both Republicans and Democrats support socialism and capitalism points to a very fundamental truth about american politics, mainly that people want some of both. For example people want social security(socialism) but prefer that apple be private rather than governmentally held.  I say this as a Democrat, people are just more sensible than the extremes(left and right) want to believe: members of each party are really looking to a more balanced approach. I like socialist principles  but there is a lot of good in capitalism too, however a pure approach(solely capitalism or solely socialism) doesn’t work.

I would like to see an age break down on this.  I BELIEVE the Reps (23%) probably have a large portion of the under 35 year olds in them.  I have personally experienced some of their logic.  It is not the Marxist method but more of an utopia that takes care of the poor while allowing those educated to run and fix the nation.  I tried to explain to them that socialism DOES not come in percentages!  SOCIALISM is ALL or nothing (and even in the nothing it is constantly trying to find its way back!).  Those of you that are BABY Boomers, think back to the communes and Hippie camps of our youth.  Charles Manson and his followers were of a commune (sect) that had Leader (dictator) and every one else submissive to his FATHERLY Ways.

IT WONT WORK, but that mere fact that they have corrupted us proves that time is NOW for drastic measures!

I watched Fox News every day, and study the campaigning done by both sides, Obama ran a very dirty campaign attacking Romney at every turn while Romney tried to run a campaign that was about the real issues and tried to keep it clean. There were a few problems, one of the problems is there are a great number of Americans that want to sit on their back sides and be taken care of from craddle to grave, another problem is the media bias which happens to be a great problem, it doesn’t matter who is running for office, they could be the best for the job and if the media doesn’t like you, they ignor you or report anything they can dig up that is bad or they find something and make it look bad, if you have plans to secure the boarder or work on immagration reform of any kind, keep it to youself or take a lot of time talking about it and in the end say nothing, then there was the issue of Candy Crowley, that appeared to be setup, Obama wanted Romney to make a statement or ask a question about Benghazi, and when it happened Crowely jumped on it, wonder where the rehearsal was held and how many of the press were involved. If you want the office, be nasty, lie as often as you can, make sure everyone knows their parts and will back you up, get the bias media on your side, plus make sure your ground game is in place and has been in place for atleast four years before the campaigning begins. It seems the majority likes a good dirty fight, nothing to do with the issues or what matters the most.
Remember Benghazi, demand answers, search for the truth.

Socialistic policies can be good and help to shrink income inequality in the US, which is a major issue. Darn government making sure people get basic medical care and an education!

I don’t care about Rons grammer, so what if he isn’t politicaly correct. It’s the opinion that counts. Do you remember, I think it was Joseph Stalin that said, we can take over America, andwe won’t have to fire a shot. All we have to do is get in the minds of the children, and then America can be ours. All these years our Government has grown more relaxed, and by allowing the socialists groups to gain more power, we are now reaping what we’ve sown. We have allowed to many in government to remain in power, and should have had term limits. If It’s good for the Pressident of this country to only serve for two terms, why not Gongress. The same for the surpreme justices. I don’t believe in life terms. What we need is men and women with integrety. I’m saddened that by the end of these next four years, that our country will be in such bad shape, we’ll never be able to fix it. If our forefathers could see whats happing, they would be turning over in their gravess. We gone from being the greatest nation in this world, to nothing. Thanks to out president and all the leaders of this great country of America.  Where did the trust go? We’ve been taken advantage of by these we elected to Govern. Shame on us.

We believe that because America is becoming evil is because children are being taught through the years in socialism. It starts in elementary schools, continues in high schools, and taught in collages. This is the plan of communism, and it is working. Look at who is at the top of the manure pile now… the communist himself obama who is running our country into hell along with all of us. I have worked in a job that put me in 4 to 10 ten black households per day. I have to say that many of the problems of black people are of their own making. I have seen an amazing amount of house holds take in foster children just to get the check and extra food stamps and then treat the children like dirt. The “left” has trained them to look to the govt for support, they have just been tought to work the system. It funny that the leftist tree huggers place signs up please dont feed the animals they will become dependent on it, then takes a whole different stance on humans to buy their votes.

  • Beth Johnson

These socialist programs implemented were meant to do good.  Yet, they take away a person’s determination to make it on their on.  Maybe this is why we have so many people who are unwilling to work for anything.  Who refuse to take jobs that they feel are beneath them, or just want to lay around and get a free check until they absolutely have to do something.  Our ancestors would be sickened.  When people are taught to depend on the government for their wellbeing then they have no hope of anything better!   These socialistic policies put in place so long ago were meant to do good.  Yet, all it has done is traded one problem for an even greater.  Our country is no longer what it was.

I’m just wondering what the genius democrats think entrepreneurs (84% for) are…capitalists (only 55% for)! They’re supposedly FOR free enterprise until a person starts to make money. Then they’re evil. James Carville is right. Democrats ARE stupid, but then we all knew that before he made his opinion public.

Anyone who thinks Communism or Socialism works needs to talk to the folks who imigated here to get away from those systems of government. Why would they lie? Liberal tenured professors and teacher union educators are all in lockstep in the process of turning the youth of America into ood little Socialists. Congratulations to them. They have succeeded.

We should let the ones who believe socialism is good to live separately from those who are against it and have a divided nation.

  • mrmoto

Good catch LtDan55. I didn’t really expect an intelligent response on this board. You’re right there’s a difference between ‘religious’ and ‘a religion’ and I apologize. I do believe that the term ‘God’ wasn’t put into our motto or on our money until the 1950′s even so. And it’s my opinion (and only an opinion) that it was done as a defense in response to the fear of communism in the Soviet Union and China. Both those countries are in love with capitalism now – we won. And they can love money and capitalism without any nod to God at all. God has nothing to do with capitalism or socialism.

  • mrmoto

I think your allies lost that war in the 1860′s. And they weren’t Republicans.

  • mrmoto

Excellent question. I think it’s because most people don’t see, free enterprise, regulation, government, capitalism, socialism, common welfare and God as being mutually exclusive. That’s just a game played by folks trying to divide us all against each other.

  • Surly Curmudgen

McCarthy has been proved correct, to your dismay. The KKK is now and always has been the enforcement arm of the Democrat party. John Birch has been so heavily besmirched by the left that nothing will restore his  reputation for which the left should be very ashamed.

  • mrmoto

Can you? Tthe Chinese economic model is widely cited as a contemporary form of state capitalism, the major difference between Western capitalism and the Chinese model being the degree of state-ownership of shares in publicly listed corporations. There are many variations of socialism and as such there is no single definition encapsulating all of socialism.

We didn’t necessarily allow it  There was too much trust in public schools, colleges and universities.  Back in the ’80s, I slowly became aware of how those institutions were brainwashing our kids to see America in a bad light, started teaching revisionist history.  So many people today who don’t have a clue about our unique history and hear traditional values constantly trashed in the media, or held up as symbolic of the injustices done to people in the past.  You talk about returning to a constitutional government and fools like Goldi Whoopberg ask if that means she would have to be a slave again.  All we can do is try to overcome the bad teaching with our children and grandchildren, and fight back – hard -  against the lying media, entertainment that wallows is trash, and an educational system that doesn’t educate anymore as much as it indoctrinates.

I’ll have to say, it is refreshing to read so many good comments from good Americans.  Since the election I have felt the same slump so many have felt, because I am also worried for this nation.  What I have noticed is a bit of a blame game going on among those on the side of the conservatives.  I would hope we refrain from this.  We are not the wolf caught in the trap needing to chew it’s own leg off for our freedom.  Now more than ever we need to come together and take a stand for what we know is right.  I feel positive we still have the tools to put this nation back on the right track.  God bless the USA.

This makes no sense to me in regard to the way democrats think.  You have 94% liking small business, 88% liking free enterprise and 84% liking entrepreneurs but then you turn around and only have  55% support for capitalism. huh? The first three are capitalism.

The low big business support is due to media spin, imo. And the 53% for socialism also goes against the first three. So which one do you actually like? You cant have both, its an either, or situation.

No wonder this country is screwed up. This is proof liberals dont understand economics and how the economy works.

A second Civil War? I firmly believe this may be our time to make history. A 100 years from now children will be reading about how Americans fought for their Constituiton by defeating Communism that sought to overtake and destroy us from within. I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m up to my eyelids with this assault on our freedom, it’s founding fathers, and our Constitution. Does not our Constitution give us the right to bear arms and fight those who seek to opress us? We need unity. We need another first shot heard around the world. I’m all in for a second civil war if one should happen.

The part that scares me is that the walls have already been being built around cities and high end housing sub divisions, in the name of sound barriers if you look at them all that is needed is concertina wire to complete the job and they are nice pretty prison camps very easily contained.  usually in the subdivisions there is one way in and one way out very easy to shut off and control the people within, this could be accomplished while the people slept soundly in their safe homes.

While we have been busy nitpicking each others political points of view, we lost taxation with representation. There is a bigger picture here that transcends party lines. “We the People” have been robbed of our right to representation. We Americans need to take that back by voting anything but Democrat or Republican. They have both sold us out. For my part, out politicians have committed treason against “We the People” with no one the wiser because they have us arguing over what color to paint the house while it burned. All politicians are too busy building their war chests to run again to worry about “We the People”. The Republicans tax the middle class and deficit spend in the name of the economy to repay favors. Democrats tax middle class and buy votes through welfare and other programs to buy minority votes. Neither is good or right. They call America a democracy. It was a republic. What is really is is an oligarchy. Glenn Beck hasn’t gotten it quite right yet, and Rush Limbaugh is a self serving wind bag who is cheerleader for the Republican cause, not Americans.

  • HeretoSpeak

But most were either commie or commie sympathizers, spies and general traitors.

  • HeretoSpeak

Yes! Marx believed that the State would simply “wither away,” and communism would be the inevitable result after socialism.

But that authoritarian rule that you describe is what happens in reality.

Ronald Reagan once saw a dead body left on the East-West German wall. (On the East side, of course.) It was left there deliberately as a warning.

The rationale of the commies was that one is not an individual but part of the State, an important part of the collective that is necessary for its functioning. Therefore, if one tries to leave, it is really “stealing” from the collective, from the state. The guard was only preventing theft.

This is the world that the American Left-wingers would eventually create for us.

  • HeretoSpeak

The defining characteristic of the Left in America (or anywhere, for that matter) is the proclivity to defer virtually any issue of importance to the central authority.

Perhaps you can articulate how you consider yourself a “lefty.”

  • HeretoSpeak

Maybe there is hope. In our own War of Independence, it is estimated that fewer than 1/3 actually wanted it. Another about 1/3 wanted the status quo with England, and the rest were indifferent or undecided.

Those of us who want to preserve the Constitution are still in the majority.

But can you articulate just what you want? It seems too vague to just say that we are “fighting communism” or preserving out Constitution.

It is a reflection of our schools. Until WE step up as parents AND as teachers there will be more love for the Collective. After all most teacher themselves belong to that group via their unions. So instead of complaining we need to TAKE BACK OUR SCHOOLS. What does that mean? More of us becoming teachers, schooling our kids by living like conservatives – not just giving lip service – and THAT means keeping home a refuge not a battleground. And when we’ve done with the schools, we will start to infiltrate the media. They like to be paid, after all.

Only trouble is, you’d have to EARN it over there, because they will make you work for it, or else go to jail. Gee, you think Barock will go for something like that? I wonder. The mere fact that “dumb-o-crats” view socialism only slightly below capitalism is the scariest thing out there. Someone told me “it looks like 1933 all over again” and I can’t agree more.

No, the left in America or anywhere for that matter HeretoSpeak is not prone to want to defer everything to a central authority: that’s a factual inaccuracy. A lefty likes things to be done in a collective manner, not necessarily by a central authority. Canada is an example of this with their federalism and so is Switzerland: things in these countries are very decentralized. And don’t point to the heathcare of canada because that’s by state and the benefit package varies, not a great example of centralization. For example cooperatives are a form of socialism and have a great tradition of being in the United States.

So let’s leave while we still have a chance.

Secession is the best way, we can run our society with capitalism and free of IRS, EPA, and FDA which over-regulate our businesses with a laws/regulations thousands of pages thick.

Even the fiscal cliff debate is stupid, if we’re gonna raise taxes on the rich it should at least be in exchange for a constitutional amendment limiting the federal tax code to no more than 10,000 words (It’s currently 7,500 pages at 3.4 million words!). Cutting down the tax code would boost our economy and end left-wing social engineering so win-win.

In the end, compromise is not possible with them. They want a secular socialist society, we want a christian capitalist country. We are not compatible. Let’s get an amicable divorce (secede) before we come to violence.

socialism has failed time after time, 100 million people have died of it in the last century.
any person who wants it, needs to pack up & move to a country that has it.
our founding Fathers have sacrificed so much, so We can be free from big government.

I can’t believe, that ‘SOCIALISM’. is part of an ‘AMERICAN CONVERSATION’, in a POSITIVE MANNER!

  • HeretoSpeak

You are most certainly right. The teachers spread socialism mostly without even being aware they are doing it. They follow the directives of the textbooks, bureaucracies, university indoctrination and unions.

I think that we should take the children out of schools – homeschooling. This will also put pressure on the schools and break the backs of the unions.

Yes, the media will respond to what the public demands.

  • HeretoSpeak

You could be correct about Canada and Switzerland, but the very fact that Canada has national healthcare means that they have deferred to the central authority in that matter.

However, I was referring to American Left-wingers. In order to have a collective, it needs to be directed and enforced from a center. If, for example, we have more states’ powers, it weakens the collective. The collective needs the imperatives from the center, the unifying forces.

Small-scale “socialism” is probably not even harmful if certain communities decide to allocate their resources and/or cooperate in this manner. If specific companies want to have the workers own the means of production, in a free society – so be it. But when the government – especially the national government – starts owning, managing, and overly regulating this production, then the power of the economy has been transformed over to the center and liberty soon is gone.

  • HeretoSpeak

What about something very simple that is very possible: A national tax on goods and no income tax. It is estimated that $500 BILLION is lost to non-payment and cheating, and another equivalent amount to collection, the bureaucracy, and such.

End taxes and just have taxes on purchases except for the most basic goods, like food. In this way, the TRULY poor pay almost no tax, and the rest of us can actually control how much tax we pay. If there are not enough revenues, adjust the tax on the goods.

I once was deciding on whether to live in VT or NH. VT has an income and sales tax, but property is lower; NH has neither tax, but has high property tax. Based on my calculations, the total amount needed for a reasonable life came to the same! But if the money is going to property tax and not to the state itself (in sales and income tax), it means that the control of the money is more localized. The towns decide how to use it, to raise it, etc.

  • HeretoSpeak

You are 100% correct: Compromise is not possible with them. I was on a TV interview about my book and toward the end of it was asked about how to communicate with – how to get through to – the Liberals. With the die-hards, one cannot.

I have been seeing this happen ever since 2006 when the democrats took over the house and senate.  Then in 2010 when the republicans took over the house I still saw no hope since the President is obsessed with using executive privilege.  The republicans need to put their big boy and big girl panties on!!  The world may not be ending on 12/21/12, but we are going to see the end of America and quite possibly the world as we know it very soon!  I am now convinced that my faith in God is my only hope!  I have absolutely no faith in anyone in Washington!  Barack Obama is NOT my president!!  I did not vote for him or any of his thugs, so therefore, I will not listen to them anymore!!  They are all liars!  I know 100% that Barack Obama is a communist!  He wants to take over the world!  This is his real agenda!  He is a communist, a corruptive thug, a thug who could care less about anyone (AND I MEAN ANYONE), except himself!!  He wants power and control!!  I guess no one told him that only God has that roll!!

Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.  Socialism kills all motivation–motivation to invent, motivation to improve, motivation to work hard, motivation to create a better life style for everyone.  If you want to diminish your quality of life for not only yourself, but all around you, become a socialist.

  • http://www.facebook.com/TulsaGrandpa Bill Sanders

another problem is that Libertarians see no difference between Democrats and Republicans, they think both are equally bad, so let Obama win.  The problem with that philosophy is once socialism takes a foothold, there is no going back.  With capitalism, there is always a chance things can improve.

    “It’s coming very soon.”

No, it’s not because Obama is a conservative. This is  according to Wick Allison, publisher of The American Conservative.

Beck distorts and smears Obama as a matter of routine because he is a racist. He says he’s not, he said on Fox that Obama is not like him and you because Obama is “anti-colonial.” Well guess who else was anti-colonial?  George Washington and the rest of the Founders. The American ruling classes push decolonization after WWII, so that American companies could penetrate the European colonies in Africa, Asia and the Middle East (for oil).

So if being against colonialism is not the issue, that leaves Obama’s race.

Glenn Beck is such an obvious deceitful propagandist, the ONLY reason he is believed by anyone is because they (you) want what he says to be true. That does not make it so.

Beck is no prophet. Beck cannot see “over the horizon” as he deceitfully claims. Remember, he predicted a Romney “landslide.”  If you don’t understand, by now, what a complete fraud Mr. Beck is, then you never will.

He’s just another uneducated reactionary — like Rush Limbaugh — too stupid to cut Yale but with an extraordinary talent for conning low-information voters into believe utter nonsense and then they think that they are “waking up.” It’s all laughable absurd and an amazing trick of reactionary propaganda.

Beck’s followers are tools: you helping to keep his taxes low will result in fewer benefits for YOU when you need them and higher taxes for you if the Wall St. bankers have their way in Congress.

A lot of my Beck-supporting friends scream and rant about socialism, but that never keeps them from cashing their social security checks (a social program) and going to the VA (socialized medicine) for all their medical needs.  If you’re sucking the social teat, don’t say you hate it.  Or if you really hate it, refuse it.  Don’t make the VA pay.  Pay out of your own pocket.

Reminds me of the Tea Party woman who wanted the government to keep its hand off her Medicare Insurance.  Beck supporters have such a disconnect between reality and their beliefs. This is in large part due to his skill as a manipulative propagandist.

Beck is a 19th Century liberal, a reactionary who wants to return to the Gilded Age when people worked for very little and for long hours while the captains of industry, Carnagie, Rockefeller and J P Morgan raked in millions and millions. Beck’s followers have no idea what Beck wants to lead them toward because they do not know the history of classical liberalism. Not one of Beck’s followers would want to be a worker during the 1890′s, but they support his reactionary push to take America back to the days of literal class wars with guns, bullets, blood and deaths.

Oh, and Carangie, Rockefeller and Morgan legally conspired to get Pres. McKinley elected. They thought they had progressive Roosevelt safely rendered useless as V-P, but that backfired 8 days after Leon Czolgosz fired a bullet into McKinley’s torso.

If Obama were progressive like Teddy Roosevelt, we would have those responsible for the economic meltdown jailed. Hell, even Reagan made sure the S & L perps were jailed. We would also no longer have banks “too big to fail.” Obama is more conservative than Nixon was!

The news here isn’t the 53% of Dems who have positive image of socialism. It’s the 23% of Republicans who do. Beck ignores that 55% of Democratic voters are positive about capitalism and the interesting result that a quarter of polled Republicans are positive about socialism (!) (and also ignores that 95% of Republican voters and 94% of Democratic voters favor small business) and leaps to the NON SEQUITUR that Obama must be a socialist because Democratic voters elected him!!

It is this kind of “logic” that is typical of Glenn Beck, but his aim is to maintain the false connection between Obama and socialism, so his ill-informed and gullible fans remain distracted from the corporate takeover of America and think that somehow socialism must be to blame for all their problems.

Of course the truth is more likely that half of Democratic voters would have preferred a socialist candidate but they reluctantly voted for conservative Barack Obama because the alternative was extremist Mitt Romney (and the rest of the misogynistic and racist, corporate shills in the GOP.)

The biggest problem communism is taught in our schools, from elementary education through college.  It is even been brought into some of our jobs.  Communism is a way of life for some people, because people have been ignoring it.  They feel large government is needed to control us.  It is hard to explain to people that this doesn’t work and never has.  Americans have become to dependent on what government supplies to us.  It has only been recently that anyone has said anything about it in large numbers.  Unfortunately it may take bloodshed to get our country back to the US Constitution, which is even more scary for me.  The Republicans elected in Congress and Senate are not strong enough to say enough is enough and as long as we do not have leaders that stand up to the current dictator Obama, we will never get anywhere.  They need to be strong enough to back him into a corner, where he doesn’t have a choice.  Then they need to clean out all the corruption that has been happening over the years.  This will not be easy, because of all the people that have decided they need someone to take care of them.  We the people no longer have a say in our government.  They do not listen, and they do not care about what the government has done to hurt us.  You can write to them all you want and they will never listen, just give you some stupid pat response.  This is across the board, no matter who is there.  This includes state governments.

Here’s what Barry Goldwater predicted about Republican compromise: “Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.” ~ Barry Goldwater, November 1994

But isn’t a sales tax only plan regressive in that it’s burden in relation to income is conversely proportionate. In other words the very wealthy may only  spend a tiny percentage of their wealth in goods and services while for a middle class family it may be almost all their income.

His most recent attempt to get his ratings up was to auction a plastic replica of Obama dipped in piss. Beck has always used divisive and controversial tactics to get more attention and garner more reactionary followers, so you’re spot on regarding his tactics.

So far as giving Beck too much credit, I’m only going by what he claims he wants for America: an explicit return to the 19th Century political economy, something very few of his followers would want if they really understood what it was like back then.

Canada and Switzerland do NOT have national healthcare systems: were you not paying attention to what I was saying? Switzerland has an individual mandate where individuals have to purchase insurance from a private corporation or get subsidies to help pay for it. And in Canada it’s health insurance province by province, not exactly the government in Ottawa doing everything now is it?

Either you don’t understand what Capitalism and Socialism are you’re just loving your ignorance. A collective is run as it were a democracy: workers work their normal jobs but also vote on how the business should be conducted. Does that sound like fascism to you? And in capitalism one person holds all the assets of a corporation and everyone below them must follow their orders to be paid. Which one sounds like fascism now?

Small-scale socialism is what most socialists care about, the other thing you’re mentioning is State Capitalism, which is what they have in China. Have you even spoken to any socialists or communists? Your admired Glenn Beck conducted an interview with the current head of the US Communist Party. Glenn asked if Obama was a socialists and the guy said no. Trust me socialists do not like the economic policies that have been put into place in the last 4 years. Yes, they are steps in making things more equitable but they are NOT the policies socialists want.

Our Republic form of government is in peril as the people do not understand Who they are electing to office. It may get to the point that other 47 to 50% will no longer accept socialist goverment which will ignite a civil war. When there is a civil war, the Socialist, Coummunist and anarchist have won in destroying the country.

  • HeretoSpeak

What “preachers” are at top levels of government, influencing policy? Don’t you know that many of our Founders had positions in their respective churches? Pat Robertson did not get nominated. Huckabee was the closest to being some kind of “preacher,” and he did not get nominated.

The Left-wingers simply do not like that the religious people are against the killing of unborn babies and that they believe in the traditional family.

You speak of “compromise?” The Left will not compromise. The only time that it looks like compromise is when they are certain of defeat, so they accept something, only to press for the centralization of power and control of the society when they get another chance.

  • HeretoSpeak

“But isn’t a sales tax only plan regressive in that it’s burden in relation to income is conversely proportionate”

No. As I wrote, food will not be taxed. The “impoverished” (there really are almost none in America, despite the deceit, lies and propaganda of LEFT-WINGERS), should only be spending money on food, not drugs and alcohol and cigarettes, so they will not have to pay any taxes. Possibly places like Goodwill and thrift shops could be exempt.

“the very wealthy may only spend a tiny percentage of their wealth in goods and services while for a middle class family it may be almost all their income.”

The VAT could even be a bit “progressive,” of course, putting higher taxes on luxury items.

  • HeretoSpeak

“Our War of Independence was fought to end the rule of a foreign master with whom we had no representation.”

The Left is destroying free speech, our Constitution, and representation. Laws, for example, should be created in our Legislative branch, not the freakin’ Supreme Court which was created to interpret, not create, law. The Left-wingers force their malevolent pathology on the population via these courts, and also by non-elected bureaucracies. Take the damn EPA, for example: A person cannot even fill in a mud-hole on his property.

“That’s why our founders decided we would have a representative democracy. The idea of a 1/3 minority waging a violent coup de ta against the majority in a democratic society is distinctly un-American in my estimation.”

Not if we are fighting for our very survival against the pernicious and perfidious Left.

  • HeretoSpeak

“Incredibly unhelpful, divisive, and iignorant to compare the American Left with Communist East Germany.”

No, the Left has a similarity with this and to the other regime you mentioned: Nazi Germany. The Left-wingers want to centralize power in the State. That is the central characteristic of the Left: Centralize power. There are different methods and “isms,” but this is the underlying proclivity of Left-wingers.

  • HeretoSpeak

Definition or no, the traitors came almost exclusively from the Left in America. Traitors to our way of life, our nation, liberty and the free market. Left-wingers are traitors to humanity itself!

  • HeretoSpeak

“A collective is run as it were a democracy: workers work their normal jobs but also vote on how the business should be conducted.”

It can work on a limited basis, and I ALREADY wrote that if a company chooses to go this route, that is fine in a free society. But in Leftist-Land, the Liberals would FORCE all companies to adhere to this utopian Shangri-La nonsense.

  • HeretoSpeak

“in capitalism one person holds all the assets of a corporation and everyone below them must follow their orders to be paid. Which one sounds like fascism now?”

The Socialists, of course. Your statements are filled with cliches and fallacies. You use words like Humpty Dumpty: “Words mean what I choose them to mean,” and you make implications in a way you think is quite clever but easy to see through.

Case in point: Nobody is “forced” to work in a company, genius. It is rare in a large company for ONE person to hold all of the assets, of course; there is a board and stockholders. In Left-winger fascism, it is when the GOVERNMENT gets involved in the control and management of companies, and the Liberals want to do that via excessive regulations and government monitoring.

  • HeretoSpeak

“Small-scale socialism is what most socialists care about”

Not true. The American Left wants national type. Look at ObummerCare. Look at the EPA. Look at the cries for the nationalization of oil companies. Look at the demands for environmental controls and switching over to “green (puke)” energy. All national.

And apparently you do not see what socialism really is. You can point to some tiny islands of apparent Socialist-run companies that are actually being protected in a larger domain in most cases. But look at the realities of socialism in the 20th century. In addition, socialism – by its very nature – is like a cancer that infestates and must spread in order to survive. It has to organize and allocate labor, supply, prices and production. This leads to other parts of the economy: If they are not also controlled, the “plan” cannot work.

I deal with reality. It is there for all to see. 100 MILLION dead. And the free market has led to prosperity, liberty, freedom. People of the world don’t want your freakin’ government forced organization for “our own good,” Rousseau’s dictim of men have to be “forced to be free.” They want to get your freakin’ government off their backs, pal.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Abimael.Chavez Abimael Chavez-Hernandez

No, not a rewritten history: that would be your reading of history. And why is it that everytime I say that the US might a be bit socialist you say that’s not ok, not no way, no how. How is this rational? I’m not denigrating the free market or capitalism. I just believe a mix of the two can work. I really don’t understand how you people can be so narrow and take such a purist approach and then consider yourself to be the enlightened ones. Why would it be bad if the US did begin and have some socialism back when it began? Why is it that completely unacceptable? I’m not saying capitalism is unacceptable. You need to take a more nuanced approach, I feel like I’m talking with a two year old when I’m talking with you and that is a bit too generous for the level of intellect you radiate.

That was actually not surprising to me at all. What I found ridiculous is the number of so-called Republicans who view capitalism negatively. Well, how does a Republican believe something this stupid? How do 23% of Republicans view socialism in a positive light. That’s NOT a Republican, it’s a socialist!

The fact that anyone could even consider this part of the “new” Republican party tells me how right I am to be independent. And no, I’m not a supporter of Ron Paul, either. His “understanding” of Osama bin Laden pretty well did that for me. I feel like I understood him a lot better after he was dead. It’s just further proof that it is important to vote my conscience on the basis of issues, not blind allegiance.

Richard Nixon, a Republican president, pushed for and signed into law the creation of the EPA; so called Obamacare mandates people buy private health insurance from large private corporations, not exactly a government product and a policy beloved by many conservatives until 2009; oil companies are still very much private and look to be that way for a very long time; and we have never had socialism in this country on the scale you say I’m talking about and that is a very narrow view of what capitalism is(i.e., read a book); socialism doesn’t necessarily mean a planned economy, again read a book; apparently a person who studies socialism and capitalism doesn’t know what a REAL form of either is(if such things exist); Free markets do lead to prosperity, but not necessarily broadly enjoyed prosperity(i.e., see the gilded age 1870-1932); and how would free markets lead to freedom and liberty? your not exactly free or at liberty to enjoy your life if you lived as in the gilded age; again, socialism comes in varieties, as does capitalism, so state-run is not necessarily the only one; and centralized what? we have some national programs but most things are still done at the state and local level because we have a federal system so “national-socialism” isn’t possible and hasn’t happened here; I don’t want the government to run everything, I want people to decide their own fates and a purely capitalist or socialist approach doesn’t achieve those ends; well if I remember this so called free-market works when someone innovates or works hard, otherwise they get the boot. And in modern times capitalism does work like that: a small group of people(mainly the shareholders because stockholders aren’t really important to board directors) deals decisions which really aren’t to the benefit of their company or their workers, at least not today; well, talk to some actual socialists instead of the ones GB imagines for you(i.e., do your own research) and find out that modern socialism and socialists actually have the state as an afterthought, and want things to be very decentralized; if a company wants to continue as they are I”m ok with that and are many of the actual socialists that live in this country, but there should be more diversity in our economy of owner-ship models; and NO!! That doesn’t necessarily mean I want to force all companies to become collectively owned and democratically run. I’m saying people should be informed about that option and have it available; and I never said it was perfect, just wanted to point out that for some people it might work out better. Please go find a group of self-described socialists, speak with them, learn what their views are on the issues of the day, and see if there are any similarities between what you think of them now and what they actually are. I’ve done the same with people who call themselves capitalists and I’ve found these people are wholly sensible and would like to see capitalism to returned to a more competitive, public-goods version that it used to be a couple of decades ago. I don’t like this corporate-welfare, corporate-communists, crony-capitalist economy either and I get the hunch you don’t either so let’s just find some common ground. And NO!! I don’t want the state to gobble up all assets and imprison everybody in forced labor camps so stop with the cliche. That kind of thing can happen in any economic system and has.

I live in a warm climate area.  Now the “snowbirds” (many are Canadian’s) are returning to spend the winter.  I have purposely discussed socialism and social medicine with them.  All five people said, “Don’t allow the U.S. to do it–fight it.”  They said the social medicine in Canada is terrible and getting more expensive all the time.  The government run systems in Canada are ruining the country.
I found the same attitude in Finland, Sweden, Holland, Germany, and other Baltic Sea countries when I was there this last year.  Every single countryman that I talked to said that socialism is making them poorer, taxing them to death (anywhere from 45-70% taxation), and giving them less in return.
WHY CAN’T OUR LEADERS AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY SEE THIS?  I think it’s because our leaders know that with socialism they become more powerful and controlling.

  • HeretoSpeak

I will just respond to a bit of your brainwashed Left-winger idiocy in the beginning of your post.

Nixon was no Conservative. I fail to see how any adult with an IQ of more than two digits could not know that. In-freakin-credible!

Next, how could any reasonable person NOT know how the free market puts on pressures for freedom? In world history, when opportunities came, people clamored for more and more rights to their own property, and property rights are the edifice for liberty. It is not the only thing, but without them, your Left-winger STATE owns everything and liberty cannot really exist, except in the puerile and quixotic mind of the Liberal visionary.

  • HeretoSpeak

During the “gilded age,” incredible amounts of prosperity were spread through most of the society! The standard of living rose, the wages, life span increased. In fact, the difference of the life spans between the EVIL RICH and the average American was almost nil! It was a great time for the free market that passed on prosperity, hope, and power to the entire nation. A time that Left-winger Socialist lovers of the new COMMUNIST states hated with a passion.

“Please go find a group of self-described socialists, speak with them, learn what their views are on the issues of the day”

I have. They want to centralize power. That is a common characteristic. Another is that they actually believe that the state can manage the economy. Can you believe that? It is quite incredible what these SOCIALISTS believe – that the state can really manage the economy – in a variety of ways, of course, from regulations to outright ownership. Hard to believe that there are people who believe that crapola, don’t you think?

What’s really shocking is 23% of Republicans have a positive view of Socialism.  I already knew about the Democrats and am a little surprised it’s only 53%.

Steve, I believe that conservatives HAVE abandoned the GOP!  They either voted for a third party or they stayed at home…in the millions!  Tragically, in effect, they put Obama in the WH for a second term in order to make a very loud statement!  I think  this was a huge mistake however.  My take on what happened on Nov. 6th is a result of Romney going after the Independent (undecided) vote two weeks before election day!
The Tea Party conservatives were primed and finally ready to hold their noses and vote for Romney until approx. two weeks prior to Nov. 6th when he added something new in his stump speeches.  Romney started telling folks that as the Gov. of a very liberal state, the only way he ever got anything done was to reach across the isle and work with the other side!  He said that as President, he would find a way to reach across the isle and work with the other side to get stuff done…in otherwise COMPROMISE!  THIS was exactly what the Tea Party conservatives were afraid that he would do from the beginning…That’s why it took them so long to “come around” to finally decide to vote for him in the first place…and then right before the election, he started saying that he would do the very thing that they were afraid of…”working with the other side!’  Well, THAT was the straw that broke the camels back and they were MAD!
I think that the Tea Party conservatives are alive and well.  After making this statement, they are just waiting for 2016 when they will put someone like Marco Rubio in the WH who will fight and vows to CHANGE things in Washington…NOT to “work with the other side!!’  Now we have to work like never before to keep Obama, this Marxist, Socialist in check until 2016!

I never trust a person who follows a Socialist and that’s why I don’t trust Glenn Beck.  He’s a Mormon.  Mormons follow Jesus; Jesus was a Socialist.  All this anti-Socialist rhetoric seems way to convenient for Glenn.  I’m pretty sure it’s just a ruse that Beck himself is purporting in order to turn more people against the responsible way of life and into one of dependence and reliance on things like poverty, handouts, free healthcare, prostitution and free alcohol (wine).  After all, that’s what Jesus did.

Glenn, you ARE a Socialist and we all know it.  You may have fooled some of your followers but true believers in Liberty and Freedom will never listen to your garbage.  You are a bad man and you should feel bad, Mormon.

All Christians are Socialists.  Glenn Beck is a Socialist and America rejects him.

It’s no wonder they like socialism today after being fed such utter lies about it. – i recently came across an article posted by a liberal acquaintance called “Explaining Socialism to Republicans”, it was this delusional  text:

    Democratic
Socialism consists of a democratic form of government with a mix of socialism and
capitalism. I proceeded to explain to her the actual meaning terms
    “democracy” and “socialism”.

    Democracy is a form of
government in which all citizens take part. It is government of the people, by
the people, and for the people.

    Socialism is where we
all put our resources together and work for the common good of us all and not
just for our own benefit. In this sense, we are sharing the wealth within
    society.

Of course when people hear that
term, “Share the wealth” they start screaming, “OMG you want to rob from the
rich and give it all to the poor!”  But that is NOT
    what Democratic Socialism means.

They have no idea- yet all my friends that ones lived behind the “Iron Curtain” are scared to death… because they know, they understand – Americans are pardon the language; dumb, uneducated and as PRAVDA said last week; too high on pot to ever understand.

Sometimes I think our only hope would be to have the Secret Service knock on your door and haul your ass off to jail for expressing such un-American ideas.

Obama is a liberal (barely). Get over it.

  • Guest

Beck’s followers have to understand that Beck’s ideas lost on election day. Gay marriage was voted supported by voters for the 1st time and marijuana was legalized in two states.

The country had a choice between Beck/Ryan’s “you’re on your own, good luck finding charity when you need help” and Obama’s “we’re in this together,” and they choose the latter.

Beck’s ideas are obsolete, cruel and not supported by most Americans. Beck’s ideas will end up in the trashcan of history next to communism and fascism…where they belong!

When the next George Washington comes along, he’ll tell Beck to STFU!

There was virtually NO voter fraud, and it was K. Rove who may have been trying to change outcomes with servers that Anonymous prevented from happening.

No, it’s a reality that’s come to fruition. It isn’t a Republican or Democrat thing and it should worry everyone, including you. Of course that’s unless you work for someone wanting communism and are here to help the cause. Are you? Communism is a serious thing and you should not make light of it. Research the affect and what it does to free people. It isn’t pretty.

Ike Eisenhower called Joseph McCarthy “a pimple on the path of progress” . He also wrote this about him: “It is a sad commentary on our government when such a manifestly useless and spurious thing can divert our attention from all the constructive work in which we could and should be engaged.” Ike also defended himself from Stevenson’s criticism in the letter, writing, “[I have not] acquiesced in, or by any means approve, the methods that McCarthy uses in his investigatory process. I despise them.”

  • mrmoto

After accusing the US Army of being communist, McCarthy was finally censured by the Republican lead Senate for “conduct that tends to bring the Senate into dishonor and disrepute.” He was officially censured on December 2, 1954, by a vote of 67 to 22, making him one of the few senators ever to be disciplined in this fashion.

There is no such thing as Democratic socialism. That term is exactly what the former Soviet Union used to describe Communism. Spreading the wealth implies redistribution of public resources that have been ill gotten. No matter how you say it, it is not what you have been brainwashed into believing by the public school system. A society that uses a democratic approach to socialism are consuming a potent narcotic designed to pacify the people into giving up power to those who always, always, try to lull them into acceptance of what rightfully belongs to others in order to consolidate power in those who are of the ruling class; a veritable nomenclatura reminiscent of the bad old days of the Cold War. There is no greater power possessed by a government than the power to tax. Through that power, the government can enforce policy without war, destroying the ability of the other side to fight through continuous punishment. Those government policies at work today have resulted in exactly what was experienced by the Romans, Spartans, Athenians and other cultures. When the populace realized that they could vote themselves personal largesse from the government treasury, eventually, those who contribute to society by those who take. The more that is given, the more strident the demands of the entitled. Eventually, they arrived at the same, sad state in which we find ourselves now. At what point is it enough? Most who experienced the ravages of the recent storms believe that the government is responsible for restoring them to their former state in life, not just public works and land, but also personal losses. They aren’t, for the most part, asking for help, they are demanding help, somehow believing that their failure to pay for flood insurance (also a government subsidized program) means that it is up to the rest of us to pay for what they will not and cannot after the fact. The economy has been destroyed by deficits that are now multiplying faster than any ability to pay back what has been borrowed. Soon, we will enter a time in which, no matter how much is collected from ALL strata of society, there will simply be no hope of ever balancing a budget and going backward to become fiscally responsible. The Democrats won. Bully for them. Now, they enjoy a time period in which the foolish will watch while Nerobama fiddles, all the while calling him the true savior of mankind, even as those policies destroy the businesses that provide jobs that are the true answer to the intake of revenue. Now, somehow, the moronic believe that there is no American dream and that anyone who succeeds got there by theft, thus justifying “spreading the wealth”. Why bother providing jobs and risking everything on business when you know that you are despised for having risen above poverty, only to be told that the truly noble are those who contribute nothing, while being condemned as a thief? The Soviets found out, the Eastern Europeans found out….you can only enforce “democratic socialism” at the point of a gun through fascism.

To blindly trust should be reserved for those in love. It is sad to see so many blindly following any politician. There are many I highly respect and some I would not trust watching a rock. By no means do I love any politician. It seems that many of these followers of the great leader love him. There is no objectivity when blinded by love. To even speak against their leader or their cause always gets responded back with a cry of hate and distrust. There is no discussion allowed when one does not agree with the following. It is very hard to bring things to light to a closed mind. Discussion is not allowed, fall in line or be berated.
