People who aid and abett rapists are certainly low enough to worship mass murderers like 17N. I wonder when they will do a march to honor the German RAF, which was an extremely brutal left wing terrorist group in Germany (they’re somewhat inactive atm, those members who’re still alive are catered to by left wing politicians, and German police is expecting a resurgence.)

The poster says non-violent. But how are they going to shut down Wall Street, take over the subways, etc without violence? Do they think the police will just let them do that? They have already been told they cannot. 

I guess they will be chanting, “The whole world is watching!” It reminds me of when my kids were little and we went in to a store. They would immediately start carrying on because they knew I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of everyone. These protesters know the police don’t want to be seen as too aggressive. But at the same time the kids needed to disciplined and these protesters need to know enough is enough.

Holland — Formation of the Holland Communist Party.

Look for the other connections. This event has been planned thoroughly for this day, and today may be the beginning of phase two, which is where the violence will escalate and Mr Obama will soon make his power grab.

Finally when the chaos is unleashed fully the mayor of the city has these choices of evil…

A. Let the rioters loose, and try to contain it to specific areas. Sacrifice part for the rest.
B. Use maximum force to stop the chaos.
C. Ask for the national guard to be brought in.
D. Turn to Mr Obama for help.

In the case of choice C or D, the top comes down with maximum force.
In the case of choice A or B, it sets the stage for the bottom to come up once again.

Remember, top down, bottom up, inside out…pressure, pressure, pressure…

We may have been blinded in one more direction as well, consider the part of the message I think Glenn may also have missed “…resist the austerity…” as is happening now in Greece and Italy.

Now we know Obama is spending us into the ground and to collapse; so what if this is a case when the super committee fails, and the cries rise up from the left in Congress of austerity packages will be needed soon unless “taxes are raised, spending on defense cut, the out of control Republicans are stopped…” and the link is forged.

THAT is the next play coming down the line; threaten to have to make draconian cuts unless the Republicans are stopped, create a situation for which you already have one or more ‘solutions’ prepared.

This may be, if I see it right down the line, one of the last chances of derailing this progressive nightmare once and for all.

The events in the U. S. and the world seem to be following, pretty much, step by step how the first and second world wars started, how Hitler was elected on the platform “law and order” and “end corruption”, and how the Bolshivek Revolution gained strength to overthrow Russia.

Our only real hope is that, when the U.S. falls, there is virtually no “free” place left for the Intelligensia to go, because they can now be found, by sattilite, anywhere they flee, unless they become Morlocks…which means we will be the Eloi.

I say, remove the Intelligensia before they become Morlocks.

The iconography and color choices in this poster are interesting.  I’ve designed a few posters and other advertising materials.  Colors, imagery, style and language are all used to portray a general theme and philosophy for the product, company and/or ideas being sold.

The poster’s stye and color choices are reminiscent of twentieth century propaganda posters for fascism, socialism and marxism.  Nothing about the poster celebrates American or our philosophy, traditions, and values.

There is a cleaver juxtaposition of imagery.  It’s reminiscent of “Tiananmen Square”; the oppressor’s tanks facing down a single victim advocating free speech and democracy.

The wording is interesting, “Resist Austerity; Reclaim the Economy; Recreate our Democracy”.  On the surface the last two sound reasonable but it’s deceiving and troubling.  

After glutenous expenditures by our government, austerity is necessary to regain control of our economic instability.  While their rhetoric calls for forced austerity of the 1%, they have no problem demanding accelerated government expenditures for the other 99%.

Reclaim the economy?  How and what system are they designing to “reclaim” it?  I say clean it up and purge capitalism of cronies.

Recreate our democracy?  What kind of democracy?  Don’t they understand the rational behind our democratic republic?  I say “reclaim” our democratic republic and hold our elected officials accountable to our constitution and their constituencies, not lobbyists and special interests.  

They are capitalizing on the concerns of all Americans and the problems defined by the TEA Party movement.  This is a subtle attempt to nudge the conversation toward’s a more socialist agenda.

I’m sorry, but the Boston Tea Party, that one act of “patriotism” that this camp so lauds, was absolutely the kind of economic disruption that people in this forum are decrying Occupy Wallstreet for.  Also, did the Tea Party not eventually take up arms against their government?  And in the most ungentlemanly way, with guerilla-style tactics?  This Occupy Wallstreet protest has so far been held on entirely non-violent means.  It has not invoked the threat of violence nearly to the extent that the Tea Party has.

This is my first time on The Blaze. I like what I read, because the John Birch Society is now middle-of-the-road.

Another difference is that the U.S. is virtually the only nation in the world that was founded on the ideal of every American beng a “rugged individualist”, which is one reason why we have a Constitutional Amendment allowing all U.S. citizens to be armed…we already were, and are, dangerous as a People.

    I love the “Greek” tie to this for some reasion. Greece deteriorated into a civil war just after WWII. The communists were our recent allies. The USSR out gunned us and supported the Greek communists. No one wonted WWIII but nobody was interested in backing down.
    (There is even a foot note to that. Not sure which but a US Infantry Division was disembarked after surviving the war and heading for home, to secure the Italian boarder and counter Yougoslave and Soviot forces.)
    I think Generals Ridgeway and VanFleet pulled off a major unknown victory for mankind by checking Communism. Both men belived Communism had a strong appeal to a war weary people looking for some disconected justice.
    Both of these men towered aboove there contemporaries, themselves no slouches. and assisted in calling the Greek people to there democratic roots. The abstract goal of law and order and justice out weighed the impulse to violence, that feeds Communism.

Im 27 years old, Im not in collage but I am currently studying american history (on my own courses) and I discovered that in the case of the boston tea party, that private property was destroyed(the tea). And another fact is that these protesters eventually took up arms, and later we have the revolutionary war.I was at occupy DC until I realized, after learning much about our history,Communism, (and other izems in general) I believe these people are very serious about overthrowing the system and our government. I left and dissociated my self from this craziness. My mom and I have a small business and they were trying to convince me that we are wrong for pursuing our dreams of eventually haveing a big business. My mom started our small business because I am disabled and was constantly turned down for jobs(I was born with brain damage due to lead poisoning, I have social anxiety, a learning impairment that caused my mom to have to homeschool me and my brother, and I have a severe tremor in my right arm) .I became so disgusted whith these morons that I may even plan to counter protest the people. I have a one year old daughter and my dream for her is to be able to take up our family business(if she wants to) without being called a tyrant by a group of lazy bums.So with this I wonder, if indeed these protests escalate, as they did in our past, is a civil war eminent? No one can honestly say it wont happen, history tends to repeat itself, and evan after a new president take office(which will probably piss them of evan more) I can see the hell getting ready to unfold here in America.

National socialists have not been at any OWS protest. One small group of them said they supported OWS, but then provided stupid reasons. They said white people should be in charge of corporations instead of Jews. OWS is against corporations in their entirety and many Jews are side by side with the protesters in this fight.

Communists support and are supported of and by OWS, but there is no reason why this is a bad thing. The goal of communism is rule of the people and anti-authoritarianism. Direct Democracy, in other words. You may dislike direct democracy, but it can’t be compared to nazism which was a right wing, authoritarian, corporatist ideology.

The Athens Polytechnic uprising which took place on Nov. 17, 1973, the event which the above poster pays homage to was not a communist movement.  The Greek military junta of 1967–1974 was literally a fascist dictatorship. Not fascist in the name calling “Glenn Beck is a fascist” sense but in the actual policy and definition.

Wow…you are really off on your historical perspective of reality.  Check into who is providing the funding, command and control, and organization of these “occupy” events.  From the get go this was done be self proclaimed marxists, socialists, and communists- rejects from the end of the 60′s era radical hippie movement.  They turned to certain sympathetic benefactors who are currently or were big players in the SEIU, AFL-CIO, and UFT/AFT unions (Stern, Trumpka).  These were also the first people to come forward and support the “occupy” events btw. 
The OWS crowd has a command center for communications, mail, and staging at a United Federation of Teachers, UFT, facility. 
They use a left leaning, social justice crying church facility for bathrooms and showers and as a meeting/dining hall.

As for the history of the Communist and Nazi parties…dig a little deeper.  Communism or direct democracy (what a load of BS) as you put it….believes in everybody owns an equal share in everything and should do equal work for equal pay…. The state doesn’t tell anyone to do anything in communism. Under communism there is a general consensus among the population that equality is a good thing, which it is. The elites of the Nazi party were all uneducated buffoons. They appealed to people’s ignorance and conservative anti-communist tendencies. Germany had a massive socialist party (the SDP). In order to convince them to vote nationalist, “socialist german worker’s” was added to the party name. Socialism is anti-nationalism and there was nothing socialist about the nazi party. 

Hitler destroyed the marxist party. There has never been a communist country. Never. The USSR was authoritarian with a socialist economy once Lenin died. Vietnam is a democratic country, but it’s abandoned socialism for all intents and purposes. North Korea is a theocracy with a socialist economy. China is a capitalist authoritarian state. Cuba is in the same situation as the USSR was.

Communism = absolutely free politics with socialist economics, something that has never come into existence and likely never will due to innate human greed/power hunger.

The Athens Polytechnic uprising which took place on Nov. 17, 1973, the
event which the above poster pays homage to, was not a communist
movement.  The Greek military junta of 1967–1974 was literally a fascist
dictatorship. Not fascist in the name calling “Glenn Beck is a fascist”
sense but in the actual policy and definition. 

Granted, a
terrorist organization also payed homage to the brave individuals who
stood up to fascism in Greece.  But the poster above invokes no ties to
the terror cell.  In fact it says right at the top in bold letters
“non-violent.’  The tank imagery ties directly to the narrative of Nov,
17 1973 when tanks disrupted a non-violent protest against a oppressive
regime that denied civil rights to it’s citizens immediately after
taking power in a coup d’état.

Also, I have no understanding for
how the poster can be classified  as “obvious Communist imagery.”  When I
saw the poster I immediately thought of the brave young democracy
advocates who stood up to an oppressive communist regime in Tienanmen
Square, this is clearly not communist imagery.  If you are referring to
the propaganda look of the poster, I would encourage you to look up the
U.S.’s old war bond posters, they are similar in style and encourage
citizens to “Fight the Huns.” Or don’t, you might be disgusted by our
country’s use of “communist imagery.”

Think before you post.  In
writing an article that says paying respect to people who stood up to a
fascist dictatorship is somehow inappropriate or offensive, you have,
essentially, alligned yourself with fascism.

 I think its time to pull out the fire hoses its the most cost effective way to deal with these punks. I’m sure the people who are being harmed by these spoiled brats won’t care about the police using force.

This photo represents the act of one brave man, who represented a nation of people, who stood up AGAINST COMMUNISM. This picture has stood for PRO DEMOCRACY, and an end to violence and political purges. The government executed General Yaobang because he promoted a free market and transparent government. Therefore, the people took to the streets all over China and this image of “Tank Man”, who refused to let tanks come to destroy the people (who wanted democracy, mind you!), had to be smuggled out of that country because it showed just how bad the situation was…how the political and humans rights of the Chinese were continually violated through the Communist Party’s “government”.

I was just trying to say that being an anti-fascist doesn’t necessarily make you a communist.  A lot of men served and died in the fight against fascism in WWII, but I don’t think it would be accurate to label them as communists.  Just like I don’t label people who pay homage to those men by remembering D-day or VE-day communists either. 

My only point was that the world is not so black and white that people have to decide whether to stand with the fascists or the communists.  If a group of liberal protesters on Wall street want to pay homage to a group of students who stood up to fascism forty years ago, then they should be able to do that without being compared to communists and right wingers shouldn’t feel obligated to defend every fascist dictatorship the OWS crowd condemns.

I was just watching the live video stream while listening to the your radio streaming discussing Occupy Wall Street’s signs. Is there a correlation between that propaganda and the flags black and red flags they are waving as they march forward?

Now let’s get real here.  Your expectations are far to high when addressing such limited mental skills.  Facts are non existent to those who only blab to hear themselves blab. But, nice try and encouragement on your part.

Since Occupy Wall Street has yet to declare a clear concise
message (which happens to be the number one reason I am reluctant to join them)
many groups have thrown their support behind the movement in hopes for many
reasons. The neo-Nazis are one of those groups. They are there because they
think, in their delusional minds, that OWS is somehow related to their message
which is Jews have too much power as heads of corporations. If you will
remember, there were plenty of instances of anti-Semitism at Tea Party Rallies,
a fact i never harped on because I understood that vast decentralized movements
like OWS or the Tea Party attract well informed politicos and crazies alike.

The Communist organizations are easy to explain. OWS is a left of center
movement in a right of center country. Organizations from the far left (like
the communists and socialists you mentioned) as well as organized labor see an
opportunity with OWS to move the country left, even if it only back to center,
and have thrown weight behind it.

The New Black Panther Party and the Nation of Islam are not organizations I
feel comfortable with. Mostly because the New Black Panthers have turned their
back on the 10 points program of Huey and Eldridge’s day in favor of one less
powerful and more dividing and the Nation which was an important force in the
civil rights movement has not deserved the same respect ever since the death of
Malcolm. That said, it is plain to see why they support OWS. Their
organizations, whatever their faults, say they strive to provide members of the
black community with better lives. In the wake of the Wall Street Speculation
induced recession, the black community has been hit harder statistically than
the white community. It is only natural that organizations that cater to the
black community would support an organization that says they want to hold Wall St.
accountable.

Though I do not claim to know exactly why CAIR would be interested, I imagine
they have a similar interest as the black community. There are many Muslim
families, especially immigrant families, that have no doubt been hit hard in
the wake of the recession. Like the black organizations, CAIR caters to making
the lives of those in the Muslim community better, so again their support seems
only natural. I think that members of CAIR might also say that the influence of
corporations in American politics (i.e. lobbyists who beat the drums of war)
has had a detrimental effect on loved ones at home in places like Iraq. Again I
don’t know that for a fact but if I had to guess, that is what I would say.

On a similar note, Hugo Chavez probably supports OWS because
he has seen first hand what corporate influence in U.S. policy does to other nations.  U.S. backed coup d’états in South America wrecked
havoc on peoples lives in countries like Guatemala and Chile and after Hugo
became leader a U.S. backed coup d’état (no doubt lobbied for by big corporations
who began losing money after he nationalized the country’s oil so that the
people could see the benefit of their country’s natural resources) nearly ended
his ambitions.

Hugo is not the only one, Iran
still remembers well what happened when their democratically elected president
tried to nationalize their oil fields in the 50’s.  Yet another corporate lobbied, U.S. backed coup d’état that ended their
democratic system in favor of our favorite dictator the Shah and his U.S. trained Gestapo-esque
police-state force.  Guess where that coup
d’état was planned.  The U.S. embassy in Tehran… A little foreshadowing.  So is it any wonder that leaders of countries

continues to provide more aid to Israel than any other country year
after year despite the fact that they do not recognize internationally accepted
borders and have too many human rights violations to count.  This is due in large part because Israel often acts on the U.S.’s behalf

And like we have seen before, the U.S.’s
bidding is usually synonymous with U.S. corporate interests. 

Obama, Biden and Pelosi are all on the OWS train because
they want to co-opt it to try and get them re-elected so they can continue
stomp for their campaign donators.  And,
if I had to guess, China sees it as an opportunity, because if we stop acting
purely on corporate self interest then they will become the only superpower willing
to deny human rights in the name of profits. 
North Korea is North Korea,
which is to say they are a geopolitical outlier. They just want to say bad
things about the U.S.
   

There is a logical reason why everyone you listed is throwing
their support behind OWS, well almost everyone you mentioned. Neo-Nazis do not
have a logical bone in their body.

There were no elections under the Junta. The right to assemble, the freedom of the press, and all other civil rights were revoked.  No civil rights meant that you could be arrested, held and labeled any number of names that would lead to interrogation.  Human rights abuses, especially torture, were rampant.

A society with no elections, no press, no right to assemble, and no civil rights for any of its citizens meets the definition of “universally oppressive.”

Rebecca, I feel you are being slightly myopic here.  The OWS has a right to protest-not only for reasons you assessed, but also an out of control huge government (for which the founding Fathers warned us about) and socialistic, marxist and communistic endeavors.  What is going on now has far exceeded the OWS goals and turned their cause into a nightmare.  I am outraged for numerous reasons, but mostly because these groups have made a mockery of the freedom of speech.  And, we may add the revisionist history that has been rammed down our children’s throats for some decades now.  Believe me, we are not complacent.  We understand the holistic assault upon our liberties which are being diminished one by one under our very noses. Vanessa it seems that you have to read up on your history a little more (there are tons of books you can find on amazon or your local public library). These people (OWS supporters) do want to overthrow our economic system i.e. capitalism which doesn’t work and they want to correct our democracy by repealing citizens united (http://www.change.org/petitions/repeal-citizens-united-end-corporate-personhood). They also don’t want a centralized economic system such as in communism but they don’t want a economic system like capitalism that caters the the few 1% and large corporations (not small business like yours) which goes against our democracy a system for the many. No one is saying that people like your mother and you shouldn’t be allowed to own your own business but what they are saying is that large national/international corporations shouldn’t be allowed to buy our politicians and political parties through contributions and that they shouldn’t be allowed to lobby the government for their self interest which in the majority of cases is against the public good. If so, take a look at the poster that is featured here…it is the single best, well known image for anti communism, and the fact that this author is saying otherwise is bastardizing history. Anyone who knows history can agree with this. Moreover, the OWS protesters are AGAINST war, pro-education, pro-small business, and anti-corrpution. What history have you been studying..?

I encourage you to find some courage within you to visit an occupation. See for yourself what they are about. Again, throwing blanket statements and repeating what others say isn’t good enough. First when you say they it is not very accurate because those who support OWS like myself have diverging ideas of exactly what and how to change. Second yes some like myself do want to ‘overthrow’ the current economic system mainly because it does not work (please read my comment and read/watch the materials posted in order for you to understand why). Third none of the OWS supporters want communism. I myself as an OWS supporter DO NOT want communism. Communism is counter to what the movement is fundamentally about which is Democracy (ideology 101 the political structure of communism is that of a dictatorship which counter to our unquestionable desire and support to a democratic system). Also to answer your question (pardon my language) hell NO I do not watch Fox News, they are completely biased and one of the main sources of misinformation to the American public (my suggestion to you is to STOP watching Fox which has conflict of interest with corporations and read books and perhaps if time does not permit documentaries, knowledge is power and true knowledge comes from you reading for your self and not listening to others, which is why I like to set links and recommend to read various books on a range of topics so that one can see that what I say is self evident). More freedom to corporations is what allowed the housing market crash of 2008 because they repealed Glass-Steagall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass%E2%80%93Steagall_Act) they deregulated the banks (financial corporations) and they in pursuit of profits without regard to our nations economic stability caused a market failure because of they’re cheating/greed which is easy to understand if you stay out of a business’s way i.e. deregulate an industry that simply means there is no watch man or in a sense police making sure they are not cheating, mistreating workers, hurting the environment, or participating in shady dealings that can bring our’s or the global economy down. What we need is not more freedom or deregulation for enterprises but more regulation. Over the last decades they have systematically abolished legislation that protected our economy (legislation that was for the most part enacted after the great depression) from the frenzy cut throat pursuit of profit which is basically financial anarchy. The enforcement of the laws that these people are breaking is not a crime, so why do you and your leftist friends insist that it is? I know in your world they can do no wrong, but here in reality, if you violate the law, and resist arrest, the police are going to take you to jail and you will be held for trial.

The OWS protesters are violating the law by occupying private property which the owner was generous enough to allow public access to, but that is not permission to seize and hold real estate. The trespassing statutes are very clear, and the whole occupation was tolerated for more than enough time to communicate their message. The fact that they were so ill prepared and so ineffective at communicating anything at all is their problem.

The amount of criminal activity that has gone on at the Occupy sites across the country is reason enough to evict them. If the Occupiers had kept their noses clean and actually been peaceful then this would not be an issue, but despite the continued claims that they are peaceful when the evidence clearly indicates that they are not is just plain nonsense.

So Mara, can you see why the rest of us are sick and tired of the lies, the crime and the chaos?

You should go out there and interview the protestors. Base your opinions on personal observation and experience. You can watch the protest at the ground level via livestreams. You might be disappointed when your alleged commies are absent. The protestors are Americans like you, the Tea Party, and I.

The glaringly obvious difference between your characterization of the Tiananmen Square protests and the Occupy protests are the Communists are involved in the ranks of the protesters. Yet you would have us believe they can do no harm or wrong. Tell that to the victims of violent attacks within the bounds of the Occupy camps. I’ll bet they have a different opinion.

The OWS protesters are waging a war in the streets and invading private and public property in a tactic of area denial in an effort to exclude all other citizens who have a right to be there as well.

I happened to be on DART yesterday and over heard a few occupiers on the train. They were discussing their plan of action, comparing wounds from fighting with police, and stating “Work with them? F that! We want the country. Watch us throw those MFs out of there! As I listened, I thought “Wow, where’s the peaceful protest here?”
Shortly afterward the DART police entered the train asking for everyone’s ticket. Of course they didn’t have one and they wouldn’t give any ID, so they were escorted off the train at the next stop.
Some are starting to listen to Naomi Wolf in the very disruptive things that she promotes, but they don’t want to listen to the diplomatic things that she suggests. Go figure…

The problem with these people isn’t even necessarily what they are taught. It’s how. They’re turning schools into an “environment to help progress the emotional well being and intellectual well being of the individual”. The problem is the emotional part. You can tell someone whatever you want; if they think logically it won’t matter (unless they literally are not that intelligent). The “useful idiots” backing all this up aren’t necessarily dumb; they were taught wrong. The problem is that when you’re in an emotional state then you can’t think logically. The scary part of the progressives is how advanced their strategies are; they don’t intend to teach people bad facts in order to control them – they intend to teach them to always think with their emotions. When you learn to always think emotionally you are always in an emotional state to some degree. That’s how they control people. That’s why progressives always say things packed with emotion and feeling. It’s the only way they can control those whom were taught that way. You can give a statistic and you can give a teddy bear; if someone is in an emotional state they will choose the teddy bear. The progressives plan is much like something Beck said on the show about the devil targeting jews over time. They never intended to win the first time. They just set the stage. They will – with time – win under their current plan unless people do something about it. Something big. The education plans they offer are ingenious. They give crappy information so that everyone targets it when the real issue is the manner that they teach it in. The focus should be against the manner in which it is taught. The information is out there – people will find it – but they have to know how to look for it. You can’t reason with someone whom is purely emotional either, which is why they have so many little zealot supporters. That’s why you can go up and say stupid things – absolutely ridiculously stupid things – at an occupy rally and get cheered. You have two ways to attack their plan – target education and turn it away from the emotional crap that it currently is (“better dead than red”; just like the red ink thing some teachers went on about) and then add some emotion to your own words. You can use logic and reason all you want; you won’t sway any of their supporters. You have to point out the “social injustice” caused by progressive actions. You have to make it strong and emotional – but you cannot forget to add the logical side as well. Emotional first in presentation though – logical people will simply ignore that part or mostly ignore it but focus on the logical part instead. If you place the logical part first when you talk about issues then you will immediately lose the emotional people. The progressives rule through a very advanced version of “mob mentality”. Rather than just inciting people – they teach them to be susceptible to being incited first. The emotional state control is something they understand very well and they are masters of using it. It’s all directly out of a propaganda play book. The only reason the progressives are so successful is because they enhanced all propaganda play books by making their targets even more susceptible then normal. They push political correctness and “respect” to make conservatives back pedal, then when conservatives are too busy not trying to offend anyone the progressives start their other plans. Political correctness is feint. Then they make a sweeping blow – turning the education environment into an emotional experience. They follow up with a parry – using emotional supporters to block the conservatives who saw the feint. They make a bold move and thrust – win or lose, they don’t care what happens to their supporters. Giving themselves an emotional history will only strengthen their new supporters – the emotional people coming from education. They then repeat the process; simply changing their focus on making education emotional to pushing some other emotional agenda (“they can’t get married! that’s evil, they were born that way!”). Eventually they plan to get a lucky thrust and stab their opponent. They’re patient people. I think whoever coined the term progressive had a twisted sense of humor. They aren’t progressive because they want to “progress society” but rather they are progressives because their strategy is a progressively aggressive one that builds strength with time. That’s why I related it the persecution of the jews earlier in this post. The strategy isn’t a new one in any way – it’s a very old one reapplied. It’s the devil’s game.

Your post made me laugh pretty hard and then it made me feel sad for the lack of knowledge in the general public. I could spend my time writing a complete response with a refresh on history and cite sources for you from various textbook/universities but I’ve already wasted more than enough of my time on this site (trying to see if people can rationalize). Now the fact that you wrote the above plainly shows that you lack a general overview of history. Just to inform you Capitalism (in its modern incarnation which is what your referring too) has not existed for thousands of years not even close, but only a few hundred years in its primitive form and gained widespread acceptance in the 19th & 20th centuries. It is commonly understood that it arose with the bourgeoisie(merchant class) after the demise of feudalism. I so I would correct you and say that the better idea is to actually read, rather than post things without actually understanding. It is problem within our society that many tend to give into an idea or movement or group without really understanding the implications of the ideas being followed nor do people actually read (books, take classes etc.) about opposing views.

To be an informed citizen one has to read up on both sides of the argument, not just listen to the rhetoric of those with whom one feels aligned too. It is important to actually read the sources of the many ideas in this world, whether it is actually reading the works of socialist thinkers like Karl Marx or reading the works of the various capitalist thinkers like Milton Friedman or Ludwig Von Mises. The fact is that no one should believe something just by listening to an interpretation by someone else (like Glenn Beck) on the matter but should read for themselves and then examine the world, its history, and finally use reason to arrive at a logical conclusion (aka critical thinking).

Now, I wouldn’t disagree in saying that capitalism works to a certain extent, because it does work in continuing technological innovation because of the presence of a market. However capitalism has served its purpose and we know that it is not a system that is sustainable in the long run and that it produces large social-economic inequalities because according to the theory there is no limit to the amount of wealth one can generate, however the idea of infinity is illogical and impossible because nothing in our physical universe is infinite, everything is finite. Now I am personally not against private property nor am I against companies (in fact I have my own) and I support the idea of a free market. However the current system needs to be replaced because it is not sustainable and creates too of gaps in incomes (the fact that people exist who have literally nothing while at the same time there are people with over 40 billion dollars is a testament to that). We need a new system that maintains the free market, continues to allow private property, and allows businesses to exist but that changes some of the structures of capitalism that don’t work and cause the income disparity and market instability. Such is system is ‘Economic Democracy’, in it are a few fundamentally different structures that give more stability and fairness. I was appalled yesterday when I saw that one of the main Occupy Wall Street protesters being interviewed on C-SPAn is a man named Amin Husain, Muslim born Obama supporter.  Many years ago I dated a Palestinian man who I broke up with when I discovered he and his friends were harboring weapons in his bedroom closet. (I should have notified law enforcement or the ATF, but I was quite young.)  I truly hope this guy is being carefully monitored.

History is replete with examples of people in power tyrannizing those that elected them or those they govern. What should thinking citizens of any nation, especially democracies with their freedom to lose, look out for to make sure citizens, voters, are not excluded from the very information about their rulers’ activities that could save voters freedom and lives? What conduits of information should citizens of any nation design as warning signs to make sure they are not so removed from knowing what is happening in their own nation that they no longer are able to formulate response to misuse of power by the governing and or those subverting the governing at the expense of the governed because the governed do not know or care what is going on in their nation? Occupy is not the way. Drama, symbolism and acting out in real situations are dangerous and counterproductive after a point. You are not in MTV videos. In my opinion, either occupy is a thinly veiled ruse attempting to have martial law imposed with the entire nation on lockdown to cancel the terror trial in Southern District of New York courts this December where 5 terrorist defendants and possible others would be prosecuted for their roles in 9/11 terror attacks on the USA or some anti American organization is experimenting with anarchy or something else irrational is at work here. In my opinion, there should be hundreds of defendants subpoenaed and prosecuted with those guilty sentenced to prison with no parole. Or OWS is a misguided attempt in creating social change by threatening to destroy the very system by which social change is made in this nation. Does not make sense. You have got the people at UC Davis nearly getting their heads blown off by their neighbors and relatives in uniform recently over bullshit they cold solve more effectively by other means. Make distinctions between what is undeniably true, that the 22 year old in Oakland an Oscar Grant should not have been killed and the behavior that stops reasoning past a certain point because of the compulsion to act out takes over with the result that people get killed and lose their freedom. Why haven’t thinking voters worked with city state and federal officials they elected and appointed to make drug, alcohol and other substance problems verifiable before those affected are out there with mandatory drug tests every time a police officer or government worker reports to work in or out of the office? If you do not get this work done who will? The Cookie Monster? What the heck, people! Be careful how you go about expressing your social stance and that the method you choose to express yourself does master and destroy you. Be careful of engaging a group that will react in limited ways to your provocation or mere presence. Do not expect people to be able to be more objective than you and step outside their roles. If you lunge at an officer with a gun you could get yourselves and others killed. Do you want police to be be killed by armed occupiers? I want to guard against it. I asked if there was a legal way to keep Occupiers’ guns locked up in sight of everyone. Occupy Chicago is reported on internet blog to have been talking about the circumstances under which they could get away with killing officers. Can you guarantee Occupy all street demonstrators do not have guns in their tent and or on their persons? I sent email and voice mail to the US Attorney General’s office asking if these OWS demonstrators could be designated as enemy combatants if they are thrreatening police officers, the first family with their internet blog documented intention in WS Oakland to take over the US Central Government and imprisoned for repeated martial law provoking agitiating. Everytime the police step into that matter they risk death for no reason. It makes me angry. The people in California with the fifth port of LA closed so workers could not earn before the holidays? How is that consistent with the stated purpose of Occupy Wall Street? It isn’t! These OWS people are on a power trip that is costing others sticking people with fees up the wazoo and, frankly, I’m sick of it! OWS knocking over old people, blocking B of A workers in New York and yelling at New York schoolchildren. I am tired of it and the danger they pose to themselves and others. Take the dysfunctional among OWS that want to disrupt business, kill police, take over the US Government by violence and disrupt other’s ability to earn their paychecks and travel safely to their local mental institutiions and then put them in prison. I ask those that are demonstrating not to be mastered by the moment and lose sight of respectable objectives, purpose, to know where they are not willing to go and what they do not want to be part of such as mass murder and martial law because their passions get away from them and they get carried away. Be responsible for noticing subtle changes in situations quickly that necessitate changes in your behaviors and know what you will do and say if crises develop to diffuse situations before they become irretrievable. Even work out a language with police to create a way to prevent disasters. Better yet, go home. In my opinion, Occupiers are in over their heads with these senseless confrontations and I’m tired of living in a state of continual cringing worrying about what could go wrong. Do not underestimate the danger of the undertow of groups acting out at some point irrational passions. Are you willing to die for a moment of irrational passion that makes as much sense as some person grunting at you and motioning :over there” because they feel impassioned to do so? What if their doing that got thousands of good cops with kids and thousands of you killed? What limits will you decide upon in advance to make sure the warning flags are up whenever you are nearing that point of no return territory in time that you to change your behavior and avoid unnecessary tragedy for senseless drama? Why only derive your sense of worth to protect yourselves from others? Do you not have the courage of your convuictions to act when all tells you it is time in a way that will prevent the deaths of police and demonstrators? Why did not these occupy demonstrators ask for congressional hearing to air their issues with corporate America and ask employers to visit them with job fairs so they would have living wage jobs with training programs and remedial education before the holidays? Why wasn’t that their priority? They do not walk the talk. In my opinion, they are murderously irresponsible, immature, irrational and are causing others much distress and jeopardy. Why doesn’t the President visit of or address the demonstrators safely with plans to make some of the $440 billion job programs available to everyone that needs it for occupational counseling, employment assessment, educational assessment, job training, transport to and from work, etc? I do not mean to offer advice, but meet people where they are. Do not offer them things they cannot reach and make use of. These employable demonstrators need occupational counseling, jobs that resonate with their strengths and most deeply help values with living wages, remedial education so every one in the US has at least masters degree in less than five years and those with bachelor degrees achieve their masters in 12 months, and everybody has clean safe place to live, a way to work they like and can afford. With $440 billion approved jobs program and the repeated realization that job programs do not help those that cannot avail themselves of the help for whatever reason and that people are poorer and more disenfranchised that ever why does the government offer solution at people they cannot use and benefit from? Why not meet every voter where they are like an MD, diagnose the repetitive injuries form voter encountering repeated obstacles and find ways to help people travel beyond obstacles to long term wealth and well being? Identify the problems and solutions. What other purposes are there for job programs that are such a personal part of every life? Work at home, real estate ownership out of the reach of so many that are being destroyed for lack of a place to live that is clean, safe quiet and because of filth, noise and unsafe, never attain their potential with thier lives wasted and society never benefitting from their contribution. Why is it necessary to keep doing these things that do not work and waste time and money in the process? Do you really want to entrust your ongoing democracy to a group of people that may, in my opinion, be on drugs and other otherwise irrational stringing along the gullible masses to use them as fellow OWS demonstrators for a purpose the masses might not even respect because the purity of the gullible participants’ motives and their sacrifice would be a good way to fuel endless demonstrations and anarchy if one of these standoffs goes bad? Would you want to prepare your self mentally to demonstrate and make sure the occupiers are not going to cause a result you do not want such as martial law? It could happen in the blink of an eye. These occupier demonstrators have got their hands on the levers of power coopting national power, your power, effectively speaking for you and subjecting you to potentially life altering consequences that could occur at any time. Over whether you stay a democracy or not. I am not comfortable with that. All of this boat rocking, destabilizing behavior serve someones purpose. I am not sure, if everyone was honest, whether you would want to be part of the real purpose of Occupy. Seen in a larger context, it could be used to cause all kinds of things not any of which I like. There are other ways for Occupy to effect the changes they say they are about and, in my opinion, if they are the people they pretend to be they would have ceased their disruptive tactics long ago. They show a disrespct for American I find distasteful to put it mildly. When much of the press is a joke. When press conferences are a sham. When those in power are also members of other powerful groups that have as their agenda the advancement of an irrational, murderous ideology that likes power for its own sake and subverting the protective social institutions of the very voters that elected them, what can a citizenry with no information and without organized political power, numbers, natural resource wealth amassed over hundreds of years, and, unlike their tyrannical rulers, without willingness to murder thousands if not more while almost openly thumbing their noses at the legal process that would subject them to prosecution for such crimes, what should voters do to to regain control of the nation hijacked by people with values antithetical to the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence? People that misrepresented themselves and their agendas to get elected and throw all of the nation’s money out the proverbial window as payback for slavery or other things? Anti-Zionist Jews Protest in Upstate New York

Clashes between ultra-Orthodox Jewish protesters and police in Jerusalem are prompting sympathy protests in this country, including one Monday afternoon on Sportsman’s Road in Napanoch, NY.

An estimated 2,000 rabbis and Jewish students took part in the protest, chanting slogans such as, “Israeli government, shame on you.”

The original protests in Jerusalem began over the opening of a city parking lot on the Jewish Sabbath in June, under the order of Mayor Nir Barkat.

According to press reports, tensions have risen in the city since Barkat replaced an ultra-Orthodox mayor in last November’s elections. The reports said the lot was opened because illegal parking nearby was blocking emergency vehicles.

The protestors’ interpretation of Jewish law prohibits driving on the Sabbath.

Monday’s Napanoch protest drew many from New York City and other locations outside the mid-Hudson. They say protesters in Jerusalem are being beaten by police for standing up for their religion.

The local protesters stressed their solidarity with those who have been protesting in the State of Israel.

The “occupy” movement should be protesting in Washington D.C. This is a civil movement against our government cronies. The occupy movements taking place in city locales only creates a problem for local municipalities. The federal government is not affected. If the protests are against the banks, people should simply take their money out and not use them.

All they did was occupy an area and make a huge mess of the location they occupied while they lived like bums for a couple months. I do think that the whole thing was kind of a stupid, poorly executed waste of time but connecting them with terrorist is just as stupid. If they had picked any date you could connect it with a terrorist act of some sort and one pertaining to Communist is a perfect one for Glen here because Americans have a sour taste in there mouth when it comes to Communist. Then he throws in a “quote” from some random nameless protestor that makes it look like the protestors are malicious “were gonna burn this sh*t to the motherfu**ing ground on the 17th” and of course no sh*t was burned to the ground on the 17th. If you went to a pro football game you could quote from a fan saying “were gonna kill those motherfu**ers” and then say that its unsafe to go to a football game because there will be people getting murdered when that is obviously not true. November 17 is a national day for Greece for the resistance against the made-in-USA Dictatorship in Greece, (1967 – 1974) which killed and crippled many people and ended by the Cyprus Tragedy.
