…You’ll be a tree killer and global warming enabler or something if you do.

While we’re talking about environmental murder, it is with great pleasure that I take on global warming with today’s episode of Stutistics. In case you missed the debut a few weeks ago, Stutistics is my new series on GBTV that gives you a shareable, digestable, and understandable way to absorb stats that will help defeat your annoying friends in arguments. All in 3 minutes or less.

That’s plenty of time to debunk a fantastic fail of a prediction by global warming darling, Dr. James Hansen in episode 2 of Stutistics.

The debate about global warming is always stuck on trying to prove whether the future predictions of doom from global warming alarmists are correct or not.  Unfortunately, there’s no way to know.  They’re predictions.  They don’t get proven right or wrong for decades.

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Luckily, these same people have been whining about the same thing for so long, we can check their guesses from the past. In 1988, Al Gore’s favorite scientist James Hansen laid out three scenarios for what could happen to temperatures in the future if we dismissed his cries to heed global warming.

As we show in Stutistics, his predictions and the actual temperatures don’t really match up. At all. Shocking, I know.

Climate scientist Dr. John R. Christy was one of the first people to take a hard look at Hansen’s predictions to see if they were accurate.

He’s not just some guy.  He’s the exact type of accomplished scientist that the left says doesn’t exist.

Christy:

-Is a Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville

-Was awarded NASA’s Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement in 1991, along with Dr. Roy Spencer.

-Received a Special Award by the American Meteorological Society “for developing a global, precise record of earth’s temperature from operational polar-orbiting satellites, fundamentally advancing our ability to monitor climate” also along with Dr. Roy Spencer.

-Has served as a Contributor (1992, 1994, 1996 and 2007) and Lead Author (2001) for the U.N. reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in which the satellite temperatures were included as a high-quality data set for studying global climate change.

-Has served on five National Research Council panels or committees and has performed research funded by NASA, NOAA, DOE, DOT

-And just because he’s a super guy, even taught the less fortunate physics and chemistry as a missionary teacher in Nyeri, Kenya for two years.

Now, he’s no Dr. James Hansen. Did Dr. Christy advise Al Gore on his factually incorrect film “An Inconvenient Truth?”

No.

Did Dr. Christy get arrested alongside actress Daryl Hannah-two times?

No.

Was Christy asked to “refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites.”

No.

I think I’ll take Christy’s word over Hansen’s any day.  But, I don’t have to take his word, and neither do you.  The facts are clear, and the data tell the story.  For the complete analysis of how James Hansen went spectacularly wrong on his global temperatures predictions be sure to watch Stutistics. We did the analysis originally for Fusion magazine, but you can see most up to date temperature data here.

Oh, and can someone please forward this video to Al Gore? I think he needs to see it.

The global warming hoax , we now know , is nothing more than a scam to force us to accept socialism .  And in that aspect I say I would rather suffer the consequences of global warming than to be enslaved under socialism or ANY other enslavement scheme .  It is much easier to take the heat as free men than as slaves to ANY form of enslavement .

If “We” only knew those who vested into business with China as much as certain individuals and politicians touting  ‘Global Warming’  and the recycling of unmeasurable steel, glass, etc., from this country to them, without our knowledge or authority.  ???Worth how many millions of  US dollars?   I’d continue to recycle properly without selling my soul….or my Country, see that America is working by having us, the most industrial nation, how to recycle our own product without getting inferior product(s) in return.  Does anyone know or observe Global warming in those nations we’ve given all this business to or have an EPA controlling the contamination of the planet there?   Agree this is just as you’ve said “crap” and we deserve much better from continuing to make jobs here obsolete to satisfy the “Agenda”.

He probably already watched it ,Stu. Don’t forget (HE Claims) he invented the internet. Ha Ha. Its also a good thing nobody listened to Hanson either. Keep up the good work.

The interesting thing here is the difference between predicted changes and actual changes. I’ve seen it published that the models used to do the predictions can be proven to be 30% accurate. Basing policy on that is like playing Russian roulette with four bullets in the gun. Which is what I would like the alarmists to do to prove to me how much they believe in their predictions.

On the other hand, the earth’s climate has been changing as long as the planet has existed. The lesson is very simply: adapt or die.

While all the “poor” countries try to blame the change on “rich” countries using data the “rich” countries provide via scientific instruments and satellites I wonder if they would like to help pay for that data collection since they could ultimately benefit from that data collection by modifying their behavior to not make themselves more susceptible to climate change than they already are.

Global warming, global cooling.  How about the fact that a single volcano eruption can change world temperatures faster than man could in 20 years?

  • Anonymous

Stu, you totally rock!  I’ve felt it was a hoax from the start.  Sorry, but if Al Gore believes it, it MUST be true!  NOT!!!!
And could somebody PLEASE tell me where the Stutistics theme song originated?  I swear it was from science show in the 70s or very early 80s but the name of the show is escaping me.  Please help; it’s driving me round the bend!

You can’t say that!  Its to factual.  Now look what you did in 24 words you killed off man made global warming!

I believe more in atmospheric change.  Carbon  and now the methane from the Artic, there is no doubt it’s going to cause some change somewhere.
Socialism…  you folks have benefitted from some sort of socialism already.  Who out there is on unemployment or social security or disability, medicaid, or food stamps?  Who out there had their life saved from a seat belt?  All of which are some forms of socialism. Get over it already.
I remind all of you that Liberty is not a blank check to do anything you want.  With Liberty you have to exercise some responsibility and due caution.  If Al Gore is sounding the alarm and saying, at the very least, something’s not right,  we should heed the warning and  make some sort of adjustment.  Pretending that global warming is all a scam is plain stupid.
Did anyone read Noah’s Arc?  The story’s about faith, being prepared, and and doing something good for the world, he saved two of every animal.  If Obama wants to get folks to buy something  besides a gas guzzler, why not? I don’t like the smell of car fumes anyway.  If any of you anti socialists ever read the Constitution, Article 1 section 8, gives the Feds the ability to control the economy, and that was written in the 1700′s.
You folks need to grow up and think of the bigger picture.  It’s not all about you.

The earth was originally covered with ice. When the sun caught fire the ice slowly melted – first in the middle of the earth then slowly towards the north and south. Because of the heat there was evaporation and rain. Because of the rain there was agriculture. Because of agriculture mankind could live. As mankind multiplied the ice continued to thaw and there was enough water for agriculture and sanitation. All mankind needed to do was to store and protect abundant water for each seasons use and protect private agricultural property from predators – including kings and tzars.

Make sense to me! Why doesn’t it make sense to kings and tzars?

Hansen was the one who was report farenheit as celcius because the farenheit figures were so much lower for the African states.  It took a black scientist in (can’t remember which country) to call Hansen on it saying ‘…if we had temperatures that you reported as celcius rather then farenheit, the county would be on fire…’  These quotes hit the media and newspapers in Canada where I was spending our winter, however never hit any major news media in the U.S….. and I really checked!

“We did the analysis originally for Fusion magazine, but you can see most up to date temperature data here.”

Incidentally that chart linked there shows about a .13C/decade warming trend, that UAH dataset shows approximately the same warming as all other datasets (NASA, NOAA, UEA, etc).

If we de-bunk global climate change, can we start boycotting products that call themselves “GREEN?”  I don’t care if they help the planet or not.  I’m sick of the stupid advertising.  I e-mail companies whose products I use and tell them I’m giving them up ’cause I’M SICK OF THE GREEN ADVERTISING.

    Stu,
With all your information, do you have a copy of the report back in the 1987-88 era, that showed Mans’ contribution to Earth’s Condition since the combustion engine was invented??  It seems to have been removed from normal access with all the opposite Global Warming bs floating around.

Keep these bits of great info and names of the Good Guys coming.  I’m building a tech. library of facts and this would be a plumb for my shelf.

Wow. What a post. Where do I begin? First, Carbon and methane from the arctic has been causing change for millenium, it’s not always man-made errors.

Socialism? Have you ever considered the fact that socialism has increased the need for unemployment, social security, medicaid, and food stamps?

I can find just as many stories where not wearing a seat belt saved someone’s life as those who were saved by them. Seat belts are a good thing, in my opinion, but they shouldn’t be state-mandated, any more than sports cars should be banned because they are not as safe as a tank would be.

Liberty is not a blank check? Socialism is not a blank check. Obama has used the blank check far too much, to the tune of 6 trillion dollars. Al Gore sounded his alarms, and coincidentally became rich doing it. He cautions us about protecting the environment, then wastes as much as he wants, claiming ‘carbon credits’ protect him from criticism. He rails about the rising ocean levels, then buys a 9 million dollar beach front property. Hmmm. Interesting, no? Listening to Al Gore is just plain stupid.

The word is Ark, Noah’s Ark. I’m wondering, did mankind create that flood as well, or was it God. Obama wants us to buy electric cars. They are not gas guzzlers, but they run on electricity (which is created from coal-fired plants, btw. The very same ones you want to ban).

Article 1, section 8 of the US Constitution does not allow the Federal government to control the economy. It allows them, among other things, to regulate commerce. There’s a difference. Perhaps, you need to study the Constitution a little more.

So, all in all, I think you need to grow up, Mr. Gore, and stop trying to fool the public. Perhaps, you could look at the bigger picture and explain to me how mankind caused the glaciers that covered the United States to melt back when the dinosaurs were driving SUVs.

Texas gets real hot in the sumer. When I first left Dallas in 1977, it had been 104 degrees commonly in the summers I’d spent there since 1968. Having been born in Texas and visiting often since 1950, tempetures in the 100′s in the summers were never anything new. Texas in the summer is hot, I’m tellin’ ya! It doesn’t surprise me that new transplants from the East coast might be stunned by the heat. Get used to it, my friends.

If people don’t notice things are changing around the Globe..Climate wise then these people have their heads buried in the sand…don’t listen to most scientists..invest in barrier island property..say along New Jersey ..or North Carolina….climate changes all the time..but sometimes those changes are really big, long lasting and will affect us all…..remember denial (de nile) is also a river in Africa….Global Climate Control? forgettaboutit!

Um……All life on the planet is carbon based……. if claims about our “carbon footprint” were true we would be buried in the stuff……They act like carbon is a solid dense massive object we must fear…….
everyone repeat after me “I embrace my carbon footprint” ….. ” I am one with my carbon footprint”
now go run the lawn mower for half an hour with out cutting grass and turn on every light in the house! this will cause a liberal tree hugger to have a heart attack there by reducing the world’s carbon foot print and creating jobs for doctor’s, nurse’s, morticians & coffin makers…… Oh and don’t forget the grave diggers union………. save a tree plant a liberal….remember they must die of natural causes…. no violence…..

One of the dumbest things about global warming is that if it were true ( and we know it is not) how would taxing the American people change the condition? It is proven not to be created by man. Who would be recipient of our tax dollars? Who decides who the recipients of our tax dollars would be? Why would the American people be taxed yet the tax payers in China and India ( the largest polluters) are not forced to pay for anything?

If Al Gore and comrades of he Chicago Carbon Credit Exchange were not out to make millions on this scam, I might be more amenable to your ideas, but this is just a huge money making scheme for them.  By the way, in the Cretacious Period when the dinosaurs roamed and there were no humans, carbon dioxide was 30% of the atmosphere.  Today with humans it’s only 3%.  That statistic is from scientists studying cores from the earth to investigate the layers left by time.   Sorry, it is about us who walk the earth but it shouldn’t be about lining the pockets of serpents passing themselves off as concerned progressive politicians.

Yes, the earth, our good old blue ball of water, rock and dirt, has “climate change”,  it goes from tropical all over to massive freezes and back again to moderate climate.  IF you knew anything about ancient history – you would know that the “Great Libyan Desert” to the west of the Nile River in Egypt was once a land of trees and grass and all kinds of animals that grazed thereon.  the Sahara wasn’t always a desert, that the Great Lakes weren’t always there, but were gouged out by glaciers during an ice age.  Man never had anything to do with the changes in climate – it’s mostly solar driven.  yes, we’ve polluted the air that has been detrimental to the trees and water, particularly along the Appalachian chain of mountains – but responsible for global warming – that doesn’t exist – hardly.  We are more responsible for the pollution of our water supply, rivers creeks lakes and even the ocean because we’ve used it for a dumping ground of our trash for over a hundred years.  It’s a big lot of water in the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, the Pacific and lest we forget, the Gulf of California.  but none of that has a needle in a haystacks chance of causing or being the cause of global warming – it may cause us to be killing ourselves and our food and water supply – which we really ought to worry about – but which we don’t.  We’d rather give Al Gore our money so he can buy $8million dollar mansions for his ex.

for sure the public education is a socialistic indoctrination camp with enforcers, truant officers and the courts, to make sure your kids attend.  In this neck of the woods we have a six foot plus chain link fence around the twenty or so acres of the high school – it’s not to protect the kids or the campus – the gates are looked when the first school bell rings.  the front gate which remains open has a guard and gates that will raise only if you get a pass – it doesn’t let students out.  they are captive to the socialist indoctrination.  but when the last bell rings and all the kids rush madly away from their incarceration – the gates are open all night and weekends with NO security to protect the property, the buildings or anything else.  the south parking lot is often used as a drug/money exchange – it empties onto a little used county road.  the truck pulls in and faces towards the gate, then the cars come in about one every 5 or ten minutes, they pull up parallel, driver to driver, green passes one way and little plastic bags pass the other – in a half hour the truck pulls away to go to it’s next most favored spot after dark – a city/county park with a boat ramp to a lake.  easy in, easy out, right past the deputy sheriff that lives at the connector road.

he said he is “a strong critic of scientists who make catastrophic
predictions of huge increases in global temperatures and tremendous

inconceivable that after changing forests into cities, turning millions
of acres into irrigated farmland, putting massive quantities of soot and
dust into the air, and putting extra greenhouse gases into the air, that the natural course of climate has not changed in some way.”[6]

I think I’ll trust the people getting arrested for facing down big government. I think I’ll trust Christy as well, since he can at least admit that all of our pollution MUST have some effect, if not the one accepted by 90% of scientists, and 99% of reliable non-Exxon funded scientists.
