Sean Penn is upset about something printed in the San Francisco Chronicle, a paper he used to be a 'contributing reporter' to. That's right, Sean Penn was at one time, a journalist. Unfortunately, it all goes downhill from there for the former I am Sam star. For a few minutes today, his Wikipedia website page revealed some startling facts, most distressing was Penn's connection with Big Almond. Glenn has no idea how people sitting at their computers this morning between 9am and noon eastern would have been motivated to release such facts. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
THIS is Change?
John McCain won South Carolina over the weekend, and Hillary Clinton beat Barack Obama in Nevada. Glenn wants to know, America, is this really the change people are talking about? Hillary Clinton (name sound familiar?) and John McCain (decades mired in the Senate)? Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
What Glenn finds interesting is that whichever state Mitt Romney wins (3 so far), that's always the one that the media says isn't important. Romney would be a change and people are voting that way as he is leading the GOP in delegates. Apparently the media isn't noticing, because the only thing they report is that he should drop out if he loses Florida. Read more evidence here. (Insiders listen here).
Glenn's not suggesting that the mainstream media is biased in their election coverage, but he's not not saying it either. For more on media bias, check out Chapter 11 in An Inconvenient Book.
Real Change
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so while all the politicians run around talking about 'voting for change' Glenn went into the archives to play his stirring tribute to the man who not only talked about change---but achieved real change in this country, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. FREE AUDIO: Listen here.
Checkmate
The world lost another anti-semite last week in chess champion Bobby Fischer. In this completely non-sarcastic, thorough and balanced look at the master chess player's life, Fischer's life can be summed up in just a short couple of words. (Insiders listen here).
