Ron Paul has gone from obscurity to notoriety in this campaign, starting with help from an annoyingly fanatical fan base and culminating with surprisingly good showings in the Republican primaries. Glenn disagrees with Paul on some major issues---like his foreign policy---but Paul is very good on most everything else, such as the economy. He joined Glenn to talk about just that---read it here. Quiet Phenomenon
Mark Steyn took an in-depth look at a recent New York Times 'news' story that discovered a 'quiet phenomenon' going on in America---which of course is those evil US Soldiers are coming back from Iraq and killing innocent Americans at an alarming rate. It only took a couple of minutes on Google to find out the Times was of course, completely wrong. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Troubling signs
There is talk that the Fed will cut the interest rates yet again--which most are saying is a bad sign. They are continuing to band-aid the solution when what we need is a long term fix. Glenn talked to financial guru Steve Cordasco, who said this latest move by the Fed shows they are out of solutions and we'd better be on the lookout for that 'other' shoe to drop. Democrats are racist?
How else can one explain the fact that Hillary Clinton is beating Barack Obama? The guy is clearly the better candidate---he's smarter, he's smoother, he's nicer. Only difference? He's black. Just like in the video yesterday where Bill Clinton fell asleep at the MLK Jr. service, if the roles were reversed and a crappy white Republican candidate were beating a great black Republican candidate, it is a mathematical certainty that GOP voters would be called racist hillbillies. Read the rest of Glenn's comments on why the heck Obama isn't winning. (Insiders listen here).
