It was a rough weekend in the world of Glenn Beck---the agonizing news stories that were coming out in the last couple of days had blood shooting out of his eyes. The level of frustration and anger that came out of Glenn today prompted producers Stu and Dan to express their concern and suggest a major change in Glenn's life: time to hit the bottle again. After all, Glenn was a 'happy drunk', so it should help take the edge off.
Should Glenn fall off the wagon in the name of happiness? Or are Stu and Dan 'horrible' friends---don't do it! Take the poll here.
Good grief, Gloria
Nothing like mocking a war hero---specifically when you mock the war hero for their efforts that made them a war hero. It's generally not a good policy to follow, unless of course you are a liberal feminist. Then no one notices. Glenn dropped the 'b' word a few times while describing Gloria Steinem and her recent comments on 'Joan' McCain. Read what she said and you'll understand why Glenn reacted this way. Farmer Glenn?
Another thing adding to Glenn's frustration lately is the neighborhood he lives in. Glenn wants to plant a garden in his yard, but that seems to be against the rules. Could not being able to plant vegetables be the straw that broke the camels back? Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Michelle Obama: 'prepare to earn less'
Ever wonder what's so great about all that hope and change the Obamas keep talking about? Michelle Obama explained in a recent speech that folks should 'stop going into corporate America' and get ready to earn less income. Boy, that sounds like the kind of change people want. Why does she want to keep the rank and file Joe down? Why does she hate America so much? Glenn tries to help Michelle find her pride in this horrible, horrible country that she and Barack are trying to rescue. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Inconvenient Thermometers
Glenn is attending a conference in NYC today and tomorrow that is featuring hundreds of scientists and meteorologists on the 'other' side of the global warming debate. You know, the ones who don't say the science is settled---the ones Al Gore claims don't exist. One of them is meteorologist Anthony Watts, who while doing some research on the actual thermometers that read the temperatures in the U.S., noticed a disturbing trend. Thermometer after thermometer was placed on asphalt, near air conditioner vents or other equipment that was a source of heat, thus skewing temps sometimes as much as 4 degrees. See the pictures here. Anthony and Glenn talk about the lunacy: Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
