Liberal bloggers have been trying to get Glenn off the air since the day he started---and it's pretty clear their operation has been a miserable failure. One person who is thankful for liberal hack blogs is Keith Olbermann, who gets 100% of his show prep from Media Matters website. Here is the latest pathetic attempt to get Glenn off the air: Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Exxon Mobil Needs a Hug
Glenn interviewed Ben Stein on TV last night about the great column he wrote about how Exxon needs a great big hug in reaction to Barack Obama decrying the $12 billion in profits they made last quarter. Why does this big evil oil company need a hug? Read the article to find out why.
Glenn meets 'Kiki' Barber
Glenn went to a fundraiser last night hosted by Chris Gardner, who is the man that inspired the movie Pursuit of Happyness. The event was filled with celebrities and let's just say Glenn stood out a little bit. The MC of the night was Charles Grodin...need anything else be said? Glenn talked about the surreal evening and even gives away the very interesting gift back that was handed out at the event. Glenn actually did get Tiki Barber's name right when he met him (or so he says) despite the fact that he kept referring to him as 'Kiki' on radio this morning. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here for the full story).
Wayne Allyn Root
Running for President as a Libertarian, Wayne Allyn Root joined Glenn to plead his case. Root went to school at Columbia and was in the same graduating class ('83) as Barack Obama. Root tells an amazing story of how the liberal student body reacted to the news that President Reagan had been shot. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Comrads!
Glenn wonders why no one notices the hypocrisy of Al Gore starting up his very own hedge fund---when he constantly decries being 'in the pocket' of big oil and big corporations. Glenn also gives a green update on the fantastic new Green federal building in San Francisco---one that the enviroheads love, but the people working in hate. Find out why here.
Cobblestone
If you've liked the music you've been hearing during some of the Insider breaks this week---it's Jeff Dernlan's new CD 'Cobblestone'. Glenn loves it and you will too! Check out his site here---you can preview the songs and if you type in 'Beck' when you buy Cobblestone, you'll get Jeff's debut album 'Broadmoor' for free.
If you are in the New York area or the Philly area you can see Jeff perform live tonight at Milkboy in BrynMawr tonight at 8:00pm and tomorrow night at Googies Lounge in New York City at 8:30pm. Hope to see you there!
