Ten Most Powerful in TV News -- Did GB make the list?
On Today's Program
Clinging to Guns and Religion
As the battle for the Democratic nomination continues, Barack Obama is facing criticism from remarks he made last week at a San Francisco fundraiser. When describing small town voters' frustrations with tough economic times, he said:
"So it's not surprising, then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations"
Obama has since described the remarks as "clumsy" but could this hurt him going forward?
10 Most Powerful in TV News
Okay, not surprisingly Glenn didn't make the list. But what is (somewhat) surprising -- and definitely entertaining -- is that Keith Olbermann not only made the top 10, he's #6 ahead of Bill O'Reilly. Probably because, according to the story, Keith is "TV's first breakout liberal voice" . . . whew finally a liberal voice on TV! Check out the list here.
Tonight on TV
Former president Jimmy Carter is in the Middle East defending his planned meeting with leaders of Hamas! What's he thinking? Tune in tonight, 7 and 9 ET.
