Clearly Barack Obama thinks that this Reverend Wright issue is not going away, because he gave a speech addressing Wright's 'performance' at the National Press Club and denounced Reverend Wright's comments. Glenn says this shows that Obama lacks the judgment to be commander in chief. If he didn't notice this guy was spewing hate (and watched him for 20 years) how is he going to know anything about the President of Iran when he meets with him? Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Mike's Lemonade
Glenn tells the story of the Dad who accidentally bought his 7 year old son Mike's Hard Lemonade at a baseball game. The Dad is not a drinker and the sign only read 'Mike's Lemonade' so he wasn't tipped off that it was an alcoholic beverage. A security guard noticed the kid had the drink and approached the Dad. Outcome? Dad loses custody of kid. Has common sense died? Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Superdelegates!
With Obama going through some possibly devastating PR, the Superdelegates may start leaning toward Hillary Clinton, a candidate who has had pretty much all of her dirty laundry in public before. Who are the Superdelegates and how did they get their start? Glenn explains in this wonderfully animated version of 'The History of the Superdelegates ' (in a couple of minutes). Watch the video.
Mr. President?
A couple of programming notes on radio this week---coming up tomorrow is the man who could very well be the next president of the United States, Senator John McCain. Also, on Friday, Glenn will air a significant portion of a sermon from Jeremiah Wright, so he can't complain about being taken out of context anymore. Will it be more hate---or has the media just hyped this too much? Find out on radio Friday (and TV on Thursday). For a radio affiliate near you click here.
