Quite possibly the worst example of a politician catching themselves in a horrible comment and trying to correct it mid-stream, Congresswoman Maxine Waters was telling the President of Shell Oil that she wanted to 'socialize' big oil, when she apparently realized how bad it sounded. Then again, maybe she didn't, because her recovery statement didn't make her sound any less socialist. Watch the video here.
Defending Hillary
This political cycle has been frustrating for many conservatives this time around, but there has been one positive aspect out of this whole media love affair with Barack Obama: The Clinton's have actually now admitted to a media bias existing. Disney's WALL-E, the latest in their cutesy cartoon releases, couldn't resist lecturing us yet again on how we live our lives. Check out the press release quote:
WALL-E is the story of the last little robot on Earth. He is a robot and his programming was to help clean up. You see, it's set way in the future. Through consumerism, rampant, unchecked consumerism, the Earth was covered with trash. And to clean up, everyone had to leave Earth and set in place millions of these little robots that went around to clean up the trash and make Earth habitable again.
